By the time night fell they were standing outside her house. They stood side by side as Ryhdian tapped her hand gently.

"Hey, it's going to be, okay? Whatever it is I'm sure we'll figure it out." He said looking to her.

She looked at him and nodded as she walked towards the front door.

Her parents were sitting on the couch not knowing they went out.

She tried to sneak in quietly to not disturb her parents before they looked over. "Maddie, dear, is that you?"

She cringed slightly before turning to look at her mom. "Yes mom!" She called as she walked over towards her. "Ryhdian and I went for a run."

"Oh?" She asked raising an eyebrow as Daniel came over.

"You two went on a run together?" He asked tilting his head as he looked at them.

Maddie rolled her eyes as she put her hands in her pockets. "It's not like that. Okay?" She said looking at them. "Can we talk?"

They looked at each other before nodding. "Yes, yes of course. Come sit down." Emma said gesturing towards the couch.

She nodded as she headed into the living room sitting down with her arms crossed. "Right now, I don't want to talk about why any of this is happening. I'm too distraught. We're not going to get anywhere with that."

"Okay." Emma said nodding slightly as she sat next to her husband. "What do you want to talk about then?"

She looked to Ryhdian, and he gave her a comforting smile as she looked back to them. "I want to tell Tom and Shannon about what's going on."

Their eyes widened as they looked at her. "Maddie. Are you sure that's such a good idea?"

"It may not be a good idea, but I can't keep them in the dark any longer." She said gripping her hands in front of her.

"Have you thought about this?" Her father asked reaching over to put a hand on her hands.

"Yes, it's the only thing I've been thinking about for the last month. Leading up to the full moon. They're my pack. I can't lie to them anymore."

Daniel was about to say something before Emma put a hand on his shoulder. "She's right, love." She said looking at him.

Daniel looked at her his brows furrowed. "Are you sure?" He asked squeezing her hand.

"Whether you want me to or not I will be telling them." She said as they turned to look at her.

It was silent for a moment before they nodded. "Alright, while we may not like it, we understand." Her mom said looking at her.

"When do you plan to tell them?" Her father asked raising an eyebrow.

"I was thinking tonight. I should introduce them to Ryhdian after all seeing as he'll probably be sticking around."

"Alright." Her mother said nodding as she stood up and walked over kissing her head. "We'll talk about the rest of it tomorrow then."

Maddie looked up and smiled at her softly. The first true smile she'd given her parents since she found out about Ryhdian. "Thank you." She said as she hugged her parents before pulling back.

"I'm going to call Shannon now and see if I can meet up with her and Tom."

They nodded letting her leave as Rhydian followed giving them a slight nod.
