Maddie got off the phone with Shannon and let out a breath. "Are you sure I should meet them?" Ryhdian asked nervously.

She looked at him and nodded. "I do. With you being here right now you'll probably be at school with us. They'll know who and what you are."

He looked at her and smiled a lopsided grin. "I know I don't know you very well, but I think you'll make a great alpha one day."

She smiled at her and rolled her eyes. "That's not for a long while." She said as she let out a breath. "Come on we should head over." She said nodding towards the door.

He nodded as he followed her heading to her friend's house.

They stood in front of the door as she rapped three times. Shannon answered right after the last knock. "Maddie oh my god thank god you're alright." She said pulling her into a hug.

Maddie let out a breath she said as she hugged her back tightly. "I know, I know, I'm sorry."

"Maddie." Tom called form behind her a smile on his face.

Rhydian let tried not to let out a growl as he watched him. He knew he was going to have a problem.

Maddie smiled as she hugged her friends and let out a breath. "As much as I want to just hang out. We need to talk." She said as she pulled back.

"If it's to explain the random boy that's currently with you yes please." Shannon said as she noticed Ryhdian.

Maddie chuckled a little nervously and nodded. "Yeah, he's part of it."

Shannon nodded and allowed them inside moving to the couch.

"So, what exactly is going on Maddie?" Tom asked tilting his head.

Maddie took a deep breath as she looked at them before speaking. "I'm a wolf blood."

They looked at her and blinked as Shannon scoffed. "You really think we're going to believe that? Werewolves don't exist."

"I know it's hard for you to believe but it's the truth and I can show you."

"Show us what exactly?" Tom asked tilting his head. "This all seems like some kind of crazy dream."

"I can turn for you. That family thing I had the other night. Was my first full transformation."

Shannon looked at her still not believing it as she crossed her arms. "Alright, then prove it."

She nodded as she got up moving away from the couch. She looked at them for a moment as her eyes glowed and she shifted into her wolf form.

"OH my god!" Shannon yelled as Tom stared wide eyed at her. "You just did that? Like really did that?"

"Our best friend is a werewolf!" Tom shouted mouth agape.

Maddie shifted back as she looked at him. "The proper term is wolf blood and yes I am."

"Right okay wow." Shannon said as she started pacing. "How long has this been a thing? Why haven't you told us before now?" She asked as Tom remembered something.

"Wait…what does he have to do with this?" He asked pointing to Rhydian.

Maddie sighed as she looked at him. "Do you want to tell them or should I?"

"I'll tell them." He said shrugging as he stood up holding out his hand. "I'm Rhydian, I'm also a wolf blood." He said as they shook his hand.

"So, both of you are wolf bloods?" Shannon asked raising an eyebrow. "Is that the howling we heard the other night?"

"Most likely." Tom said as he eyed Rhydian. "So, what are you doing with Maddie?"

"That's the other thing that I need to tell you guys." She said moving back towards Rhydian on the couch. "My parents betrothed me to him when I was just a pup. He knew I didn't. He showed up saying he was here for me."

Shannon stumbled a little when she heard that as Tom put a hand on her back to steady her. "Easy." He said softly making Maddie smile.

She nodded softly as she leaned into him a little. "Thank you." She said before looking back to her friend. "So, you're engaged?"

Maddie looked to Rhydian as both blushed a little. "Well, technically."

"We're intended to each other?" Rhydian said trying to explain.

"It's strange. We're supposed to marry each other someday but we barely know each other so that won't be happening for a while."

Rhydian chuckled and nodded. "Right, we got off to a rocky start, but we've gotten to know each other a bit better."

Shannon and Tom looked at them and nodded. "Okay, so…that's a lot." He said as he blinked. "When did you figure this out?"

"Rhydian's known for a while. I found out like two days ago?" She questioned as Ryhdian nodded.

Tom and Shannon moved to sit down as they watched them. "I have a lot of questions half which I can't think of right now."

Maddie nodded as she clasped her hands together. "That's completely understandable. I was tired of hiding this from the two of you. You're my closest friends. It wasn't fair anymore."

Shannon looked over at her and smiled. "Thank you for telling us. While I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything. I'm happy that you felt comfortable enough to say something."

Maddie smiled at her and nodded. "Of course, Shann, I couldn't hide from my pack anymore."

Tom looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Your pack?"

Maddie nodded softly. "Whenever I'm with you two I feel calm. I think of both of you and almost immediately calm down. I think not telling you about this had started to take a toll on me."

"Is that why you've been so agitated for like the last month?" Tom asked looking at her.

"I think so." She said nodding as Rhydian smiled softly.

"It can happen with Alpha's in the wild when they get separated from their pack, or if for some reason they lose their pack."

"That seems like it would make sense." Shannon said as she looked at them. "Now that all that's in the open what should we do?"

"I'm hoping we can just go on like normal. I'll answer all the questions you have as best as I can. You can even ask my mom and dad. You also must keep this a secret." She said nodding.

"Right, of course." Shannon said nodding as she looked at her. "You know we won't tell anyone."

She sighed and smiled softly. "Thank you." She said seeming to relax.

Tom nodded as he stood up rubbing his hands over his pants. "Why don't you pick out a movie and I'll go make some popcorn?"

Maddie smiled at him and nodded. "That sounds great. Thank you." She said as everything seemed to go okay.
