The group watched movies most of the night as Rhydian got to know Shannon and Tom while they got to know him.

They had all fallen asleep on the couch or on the floor in various positions. Ryhdian was the first one to wake up and stretched a little rubbing out the kink in his neck.

Soon after he felt a weight on him and furrowed his brows as he noticed that Maddie was laying on top of him.

He smiled softly running a hand through her hair softly before he gently moved out from under her.

She groaned softly as he moved but other wise snuggled back into the couch.

Rhydian smiled at her and softly picked his way through the living room to the kitchen.

He bit his lip for a moment as he carefully picked through the cabinets as not to wake anyone up. He found a few pans and set them on the stove before looking into the fridge finding some eggs and bacon.

He started making the food as quietly as he could as to not disturb the other's.

Shannon and Tom woke up soon after and stretched a little as Tom smelled the food. "Hey, Shan? Do you smell that?" He asked furrowing his brows.

Shannon looked at him and raised an eyebrow before she smelled the food. "Oh no my parents." She said as she scrambled up and into the kitchen.

She stood in the doorway and blinked as she saw Ryhdian standing there. "What?" She asked tilting her head as Tom stood behind her.

"Oh. Good morning. I hope I didn't wake you, but I wanted to say thank you for your hospitality and welcoming me into your home."

"You can cook?" Tom asked making Shannon elbow him in the stomach.

He grunted softly as gripped his stomach as Ryhdian chuckled a little. "Yes, I can cook. We learn how to cook in the wild. I hope you don't mind."

"Oh no not at all. Thank you. This smells great. I just thought it was my parents and I wasn't sure how to explain us all being here."

"Ahh." He said nodding. "I only made eggs and bacon though I could make something else if you wanted."

"This is more than enough thank you." She said as he walked closer. "You and Maddie seem to be getting along really well."

He blushed a little as he ducked his head rubbing the back of his neck. "We're acquaintances at best." He said as Tom started to get the plates out.

He let out a snort and hummed. "Yeah, I don't know much about this whole Wolfblood thing just yet. Though I do know that she wouldn't consider you pack if you were just an acquaintance."

"Tom's right." Shannon said nodding as she started making a plate of food. "That much we know. She also wouldn't introduce you to us like she did either."

"Okay, so we're friends. That's it." He said chuckling as he leaned against the counter.

"For now." Shannon said slightly under her breath as she turned to him and held out a plate for him. "Take this to Maddie she should be waking up any minute now."

As if on cue Maddie could be heard stretching a little as she looked around from the living room. "Shannon? Tom? Ryhdian?" She called as she rubbed her eyes.

He didn't question how she knew that and took the plate heading out towards the living room.

"Morning." Ryhdian greeted as he held the plate out for her. "Made breakfast."

"Oh Thanks." She said smiling at him as she took the plate. "Where are Tom and Shannon?"

"They're in the kitchen getting food." He said as he sat down and hummed.

"Aren't you going to eat?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"I will once everyone else has gotten their food." He said nodding as Tom and Shannon came back in.

"Then it's your turn." Shannon said as she sat on the other couch across from them.

Ryhdian looked at them and nodded as he chuckled a little. "Alright, it seems like it is." He said as he got up and headed into the kitchen.

Once he was in the kitchen Shannon looked at Maddie with a small smirk on her face. "So, he seems pretty nice."

Maddie looked at her and nodded. "I mean, yeah he is." She said shrugging slightly.

Shannon looked at her before looking to Tom. "Tom, would you mind getting me some orange juice please?"

Tom sighed and nodded slightly. "That's my cue to make sure Ryhdian stays in the kitchen." He said as he stood up and kissed her head before heading towards the kitchen.

Maddie looked after him and looked at Shannon who moved to sit next to her. "So, what are your thoughts on Ryhdian?"

"What do you mean? He's nice, he's a friend. Even if we didn't get off to the best start." She said as she took a bite of her food.

"I know that much." She said rolling her eyes. "But what do you think about the whole being betrothed thing?"

She rolled her eyes as she leaned into the couch a little. "It's stupid and I'm still upset at my parents."

"Okay, I meant what did you think about being betrothed to Ryhdian." She said giving her a look that had Maddie furrowing her brows.

"Shannon what are you trying to get at?" She asked as she tilted her head a little.

"Oh my god." She said shaking her head. "I'm trying to get you to tell me if you like him. The two of you seem rather cozy with each other."

"We're not cozy with each other." She said making a face.

"Oh, come on you can't tell me that there isn't anything between you two." Shannon said nudging her arm. "The two of you seem rather close."

"Shannon, there is nothing between mean and Ryhdian and least not like that." She said rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah whatever you say. But I saw the way he looked at you and from what you told us last night he seems a bit protective."

"Shan." She said fondly exasperated as she shook her head. "Nothing's going on between Ryhdian and I. If there ever, is you'll be the first to know."
