Author's Note: Hey Everyone! So I have a confession to make... Somehow I got Rachel and Rebecca mixed up! I don't know how but I did. I know, I know, stupid mistake. Guess it is time to bring out the books and reread them. Haha! But I caught my mistake and fixed it in hopefully all of the previous chapters mentioning Rebecca when I meant Rachel. Also I want to put in a special thank you to my Reviewers, mezzieb1, Winterlover6, Maiannaise, and ALadyE. To mezzieb1 and Winterlover6, I hope this was soon enough. I found time to write the next chapter and couldn't wait to post it. To Maiannaise, you will see in this chapter if he does or not... And to ALadyE, I always thought so too, and he seemed perfect wolf for Artemis. Also I did start reading your imprint story, though I am only a few chapters in! So far I like it and cant wait to see what you do with it. And to Everyone else, thanks for reading and if you like this story and want to read another Embry imprinting story go check out ALadyE story called Life of Sea and Cedar! Well enough chit chat here is the next chapter...

Disclaimer: Look do you guys really have to make me say it? Fine. I do not own Twilight.

Embry's POV:

"We have to get her out of there, now!" I tell them.

"Embry, calm down," Sam says.

"No Sam. Everyone keeps telling me to calm down. He has my imprint! My imprint! If it was Emily, you would be doing the same thing as me. So everyone needs to stop telling me to calm down and help me find her!" I yell, tired of being told to calm down when my goddamn imprint is with that monster.

"Okay fine, Embry. Let's find her," Dr. Cullen says calmly.

"Good. Now anymore ideas?" I asks.

"We have the police looking for the vehicle and we can search all the houses recently rented, bought or even abandoned in a 100 mile radius. Though if he is renting or bought the house he probably used a fake name. May take a few days but we will find her," Dr. Cullen says calmly.

"As long as it's not too late," I tell them.

The next day we got a list of houses, pages long. We mapped out all of the house and worked from the closest to the farthest away. With the pack still needing to guard La Push and Dr. Cullen and some of his family members having to work still, we were able to search 25-50 house a day. We still haven't found anything.

With the house that were rented or bought, we had to visit each one of them and see who was living in the house, since he could be using a fake name. Abandoned houses were somewhat easier. All we had to do was go in and check it out. But some were harder to find then others.

Four more days went by, making this day Day 10 of her being gone. We had searched every house in La Push and almost all in Forks. Today was any other searching day, or so I thought.

We had split up into 5 groups. Group 1 was Jasper, Edward, Esme and Alice, who were not working today. They would be checking the houses that were being rented or bought in Forks today. Group 2 was Jacob, Quil, Seth, and Zeke, who were searching abandoned houses north of Forks. Group 3 consist of Paul, Jared, Collin, and Damon, who were searching abandoned house south of Forks. Group 4 was Brady, Leah, Harley and I, searching east of Forks. While Sam, Zane, Ace and Payton, were patrolling La Push. And then Pierce was at Emily's as our go between incase the Cullens find anything.

We searched four abandoned houses and guess what they were? Abandoned. No trace of anything. No one has been there in months, maybe even years. No Artemis and that was all that matter. Next house.

Hopefully it will the next one, Brady says, sounding hopeful but sad.

Though all the other wolves were phased and we could hear their thoughts, it was easy to ignore them and only talk in our little groups we were in.

Hopefully, I reply, you know everyone keeps asking me how I am doing but not you. Brady you are her best friend, how are you doing? I ask him.

I'm alright, I guess. I miss her and wonder what she is going through. But I know how strong she is. Growing up with her I saw that. The look in her eyes, and the way that she walked, she knew nothing could stand in her way. She had already met the Devil, and anybody else was nothing compared to him. I know she will survive, and come out strong. I'm not worried about her surviving, I am worried about how others will react to her, Brady tells me and I can tell he is worried about what others will think and say.

I know she is strong and I saw that. When we first met, I saw the fire in her eyes, especially when she mentioned us stealing you away from her. She had that look, but also kindness and a little bit of sadness. Though once we got her out of that house, the sadness start to leave her eyes, I told Brady.

It did, because of you, and it will again when we get her back and kill that monster, because of you again, Brady tells me and I can tell he means it, did I ever tell you she beat up a guy in third grade for me? It was before the growth spurt, he tells me and I laugh.

Sounds like her, I say to him.

Okay love birds, let's get serious, were coming up on the next house, Leah remind me. And of course the laughing goes away and I focus on Artemis.

We approach an old two-story house. It was about 50 miles out from Forks. The house had windows were boarded up, and pieces of wood missing here and there on the steps and porch. It just looked really broken down.

Harley and Leah take the front, Brady, you and I have the back. You guys know the drill, I tell them.

We walk around the house sniffing everything and anything. Walking towards the back we passed small windows, proving there was a basement. The back of the house had a back door with a screen door missing the screen and hanging off the door frame, hanging open.

Her scent is here, almost unrecognizable but I can tell it is here. Also, SUV in the driveway, plates match. Embry she is here, we found her, Leah tells me.

Leah phase, and come in the front. Harley send out the call, Brady and I will go in through the back. Go! I practically command.

Brady and I phase and put on shorts as fast as we can. Then we are up the steps and bursting through the back door and entering a kitchen. Nothing. We move to the next room and come face to face with the barrel of a gun.

"What do you want?" the man holding the gun asks.

"I want Artemis," I demand.

"Well you can't have her. She is mine," He says.

"Yours? You kidnapped her. You can't force someone to be yours," I say, trying to control my temper.

Surprising me, he starts laughing," That whore asked for it. She wants me and she wants it. Every time since the first, she has begged for it," he says and I try to move forward," Where do you think you are going?" he says, pointing the gun at me and loading it.

Brady stand behind me, so he is no help because I am in his way. From the corner of my eye though, I see Leah sneak in the second door leading into the dining room. She gives me a look and I know I need to distract him.

"Where is she goddamn it!" I demand.

"Nowhere you'll ever know. Now is it only the two of you?" he asks.

"Yea," I answer.

"Good, I can take care of both of you at once. Both of the whore's play things. Any last wo-" He is saying and then Leah pounces. She grabs him from the back and pulls his arm with the gun in the air, and the gun goes off. He gets knocked to the ground and I jump on him, trying to grab the gun that he is trying to point at me. We wrestle over it and then it goes off again. Shooting him right through the skull. His grip loosens and he stops struggling. He's dead.

"Are you alright?" Brady asks.

"Yeah, I am fine. Let's find Artemis," I say. Leaving the gun on the ground and heading towards the next room.

Finally we find the basement stairs, taking them almost three at a time, with Leah and Brady right behind me. We end up in a large basement, all concrete. It's big and open except in the back right corner, there is a door leading to a smaller room. Artemis!

I race to the door, unlock it, and swing the door open, practically breaking the door off the frame. What I find is exactly what Alice saw in her vision, except Artemis sat on the bed, near the head of the bed against the wall, looking straight at me. I walk towards her, wishing I could just grab her, wrap her in my arms and run away.

"You're not Doug. Where is he? I heard a loud noise, like a gun shot. Where is he?" she repeats, looking nervous and worried.

"Artemis, it's me, Embry," I say softly to her, going over and reaching out to touch her arm, that was covered in bruises.

She flinches away," Don't touch me! Just leave us alone," she demands.

"Artemis, I am here to take you home. I'm your boyfriend remember? I love you," I try to reason with her.

"This is my home. And I am not anything to you. You don't love me. You think I am dirt and that I can be used. Doug loves me," she replies, breaking my heart.

"Artemis, please," I say.

"Please just go away and leave us alone," she says in tears, bringing her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms around them.

"Embry, let me talk to her. You two go upstairs and we will be up in a few minutes," Leah says softly to me and Brady.

"What? No," I reply.

"Just do it okay? She can't handle being around males after what she has been through. She needs a female and I can help her," Leah says, pleading.

"Okay," I reluctantly reply.

Brady and I head back upstairs and it feels like eternity. We got her back and that is all that matters. She will be okay. Just needs help to get there. Soon she will be back in my arms. Finally Leah emerges from the basement, carrying Artemis's small body in her arms.

Whoa! Anyone see that coming? Anyone have a guess to what is going to happen next? I always enjoy a review and hearing what you guys think. Tell me what you guys think will happen now that he got her back. Or how you think this will effect their relationship. Til next time...
