Before Blaine could check his emails, he heard crying coming from downstairs.
"Welcome to your new normal." Cooper teased.
Blaine smirked. "Yeah, it's going to be like this for a long time."
He and Cooper carried Cory and Elizabeth downstairs, to see who was crying and why.
"What happened?" Cooper asked.
Kurt turned towards him and Blaine. "I think they're getting hungry."
"Well, I just brought in some more formula, so we can start making their bottles."Jack exclaimed.
Jack handed Devon to Kurt, while he went into the kitchen to make the bottles. Once they were finished, Jack brought them back into the living room.
"Blaine, did you check your emails?" Kurt asked.
"No, I didn't get a chance to yet." Blaine replied. "I went to check on Cory and Elizabeth."
"Please make sure you check them before tomorrow morning." Kurt warned.
Blaine shook his head. "Don't worry. I'll get to it, eventually."
The three other adults laughed.
After all five babies were fed, burped, and placed in their swings, where they drifted off to sleep.
"Cooper, why don't you show Kurt everything in the garage?" Kate suggested.
"Yeah, I'm dying to see all of the cute clothes." Kurt replied.
Cooper smiled. "Ok, come on." he said, leading Kurt out to the garage.
"I'm going to do the laundry." Jack announced.
"And I'm going to the dishes." said Kate. "Why don't you go check those emails dear, while all the babies are quiet."
"That's a good idea." Blaine laughed, going back upstairs to find his laptop.
Blaine went into his bedroom and found his laptop, lying on the bed. He opened the computer and was very surprised when he saw how many emails he received. The first one was from Burt and Carole.
Hey daddies!
We're so glad to hear that the babies are all doing well. And that Mackenzie is doing better. We just booked our tickets from here to New York, which will be tomorrow. We leave here around 7:00 am and we arrive around 9:00 am. I hope that's ok? Can't wait to see my grandkids. Oh, and don't worry, with Carole being a nurse and me being conscience about my health, we have both gotten our flu shots. So you don't have to worry about us bringing any germs in the house. We're also used to keeping our hands clean.
See you soon.
Love,
Burt and Carole
Blaine smiled as he finished reading his in-laws email and couldn't wait to see them. He quickly wrote down when they would be coming and at what time, so someone would be at the airport to pick them up. He clicked the next email from Santana and Brittany.
Hey what's up Blaine and Kurt!
We would totally love to come and visit you guys and help with the babies. We will try to come in a few days. Details to follow. Love you guys.
Santana and Brittany Lopez-Pierce.
Blaine laughed after reading that email. Before he could read the next one, he heard a knock on the bedroom door and saw Kurt standing there with two cups of tea.
"Hey, I thought you'd like some tea." Kurt admitted.
Blaine smiled and gestured him towards him. Kurt handed Blaine one mug, while setting the other on the bedside table. He sat down next to him and looked down at the computer.
"Are you looking at your emails?" Kurt asked.
Blaine nodded, after taking a sip of his tea. "Yeah. Artie and Betty won't be able to make it out here. Santana and Brittany said they'll come in a few days and your dad and Carole said they're coming tomorrow around 9:00 am"
Kurt smiled. "That's great. I can't wait to see my dad. And Carole too. I've missed them so much."
Blaine wrapped an arm around Kurt. "I know you have."
Kurt looked at the computer screen again. "Hey, there's an email from Lucy."
Blaine's eyes went wide. He quickly clicked the email from his sister.
Dear Blaine and Kurt,
I'm so glad to hear that the babies are doing better and even little Mackenzie is fighting to go home. I just wanted to let you know I have several friends that would love to help out with the babies when you go back to work. When you're ready that is and if I know my brother, he would like it to be never. Or until they go to school. Some of my friends are even CPR certified, which I think is a great thing to have. So when you are both ready, let me know and I will talk to my friends and I'll give them your number.
I'll talk to you soon. Love to everyone. Please give hugs and kisses to each of those babies. Mom and dad too. Ok, Cooper too.
Don't forget to send me pictures of those precious bundles of joy.
Love,
Lucy
Blaine and Kurt sat in silence for a few moments, just looking from each other to the computer.
"When do you think she would want to see the babies?" Kurt asked quietly, breaking the silence.
Blaine shrugged. "I don't know. She did see them at the hospital and feed Mackenzie. But that was the only time since she left the hospital."
Kurt nodded in understanding. "I think its great she has friends that want to help out, but I don't think I'm ready for that. Not yet anyway."
Blaine laughed. "You know, my mom was talking to me about what we were going to do when we go back to work and Cooper suggested a nanny." he started. "But I said I would talk to you first."
"Well, let's get Mackenzie home first and settle into a routine before we start thinking about going to work or nannies. All right?" Kurt suggested.
Blaine nodded in agreement. "How about we finish looking at the rest of the emails then go play with the babies?"
"I like that idea." Kurt agreed.
Rachel and Finn said whenever they needed help, they would come over. Since they lived close by they could come over anytime since they lived close by. Mercedes, Sam, Tina, Artie, Mike said they would out after Mackenzie came home. Puck and Quinn said they would be coming in the day after Burt and Carole were due to arrive.
After Blaine and Kurt finished reading all of the emails, Blaine looked at Kurt and smiled.
"What?" Kurt asked.
"Can you believe how many people want to see the the babies?" Blaine asked, bewildered.
"I know. We have some of the best friends don't we?" Kurt stated.
Blaine nodded and kissed Kurt gently on the lips.
"Come on. Let's go back downstairs and have some play time with the babies." Kurt suggested.
Blaine didn't argue, as he let Kurt drag him out of the room and down to the living room.
