As always please keep those reviews, follows and favorites coming. Because you know how much I love them.
Thanks so much and please enjoy.
A few days after Halloween, Blaine and Kurt were busy getting ready for another first holiday in the babies lives, Thanksgiving. Both sets of grandparents and Cooper were flying in to help celebrate the holiday, along with Lucy, Rachel, Finn and their son Christopher.
Since Thanksgiving was still a few weeks away, Kurt and Blaine had time to get everything ready. Until then, life went on as normal. Well, as normal as life could be for a family with six active eight month olds.
Kurt had just gotten home from work and he and Blaine were sitting on the living room floor, playing with the babies.
"Come on Cory, you can do it." Kurt coaxed, trying to get the little boy to crawl toward him.
Cory started making little grunting noises, trying to lift himself onto his hands and knees.
"Aw, come on buddy, you can do it." Blaine praised. Before either man knew it, Elizabeth came crawling over to Blaine's lap, making both men laugh.
"You didn't want big brother to beat you, huh?" Blaine teased, lifting Elizabeth and kissing her chubby cheek.
Kurt smiled. "Blaine, can you believe our little babies are starting to crawl?"
"I know." Blaine replied sadly. "Soon they'll be walking and running around the house."
"Now let's not get too ahead or ourselves." Kurt begged.
Blaine stifled a laugh and kissed Kurt on the cheek.
The week before Thanksgiving, everyone had arrived in New York. Both sets of grandparents were eager to see how big their grand-babies had gotten since they had last seen them.
"Hello!" Burt and Carole called as they entered the Hummel-Anderson house.
Kurt looked over his shoulder and smiled as he saw his parents walking into the house, with Blaine and his family behind them.
"Where are my grand-babies?" Kate squealed.
Blaine laughed. "They're all in the living room, mom, and wait until you see what they can do now. They're becoming mobile." he teased.
Everyone made their way into the living room.
"Hi dad." Kurt greeted his father with a hug.
"Hi son, how are you?" Burt asked.
"I'm good." Kurt replied. "Come see the babies."
When all of the adults came into view, the babies started babbling with excitement.
"I think they're excited to see their granparents." Blaine exclaimed.
"And their uncle Cooper." Cooper chimed in.
"Yeah you too Coop." Blaine teased.
"They've all gotten so big!" Kate squealed again.
"I know." Kurt said with a sad tone in his voice. "Soon they'll be walking, then we're really in trouble. I just want them to stay little forever."
Blaine came to Kurt's side and wrapped an arm around him. "Aww, it's ok honey. They're still little and will be for a while longer." Blaine said sympathetically, placing a kiss on his cheek.
Kurt smiled at Blaine.
"Blaine, it's been a few months since we've seen the babies." Kate started. "They've changed so much, I can't tell who's who."
Both men laughed.
"Well, this little one over here, who is very excited to see her grandparents and uncle, is little Elizabeth." Kurt bent down, picked her up and handed her over to Burt.
Kurt and Blaine started handing the babies to their grandparents and uncle, saying each one's names. Everyone started cooing over how much the babies had grown. As Blaine picked up Henry, Mackenzie started to cry hysterically in Cooper's arms.
"Coop? What did you do to my daughter?" Blaine teased.
"Hey, I didn't do anything." Cooper protested. "She just started crying.
"Here, let me have her." Kurt insisted.
Cooper handed over the crying baby to the Kurt's waiting arms.
"Shh, it's ok honey." Kurt cooed, as he rocked Mackenzie in his arms.
"I think it's because she doesn't know you that well." Kurt stated.
Cooper nodded, understanding.
The days leading up to Thanksgiving, everyone enjoyed spending time with each other. The day before the holiday, all of the women, Kurt included, were busy in the kitchen preparing the turkey for the big meal. They were also getting all of the other dishes ready to cook the next morning.
"I'm so glad we get to spend holidays together." cooed Carole.
"Especially because it's the babies' first Thanksgiving." added Kate.
"I'm really glad all of you guys could make it." Kurt stated.
"Oh honey, we wouldn't have missed this for the world." Carole insisted, wrapping an arm around her step-son.
"So what are the plans for tomorrow?" Kate asked.
"Well, everyone is coming here around 1:00." Kurt began to explain. "Since the babies are still waking up and sleeping at odd hours, Blaine and I weren't really sure what would be an ideal time to eat. So we thought 4:00 would be good. That way when everyone comes over, they can play with whoever's awake. We'll eat dinner, we'll have dessert and the men can watch their football games."
"I think that's a wonderful idea Kurt." Kate exclaimed.
Kurt smiled. "By the time we're finished with dessert, the kids will be exhausted, we'll just give them a quick bath and put them to bed." he added.
BothKate and Carole laughed.
"I was also hoping, I could convince Blaine to watch the kids, while we go Black Friday shopping." Kurt persuaded.
"I'm sure we can get Burt and Jack to help watch their grandkids." Carole insisted. "Right Kate?"
Kate nodded. "Of course. If it means spending more time with those babies, then yes." she laughed.
While the women were in the kitchen, the men were in the living room playing with the babies.
"Blaine, I can't believe how big my grandkids are." Jack teased. "It seems just like yesterday they were tiny babies and in the hospital, and now here they are, becoming mobile."
Blaine smiled. "I know dad, it's unbelievable."
"Have you heard from Lucy?" Cooper asked.
Blaine nodded. "She's good, you'll see her tomorrow."
After finishing in the kitchen, Kurt, his step-mother and mother-in-law headed into the living room to join the rest of the family.
"Honey, I think we should start feeding the babies their evening bottles and put them to bed." Kurt suggested to Blaine.
Blaine smiled up at Kurt.
"Did you make the bottles?" Kate asked.
"They should be in fridge." Blaine replied. "We're still using that color chart you wrote out."
Kate smiled.
"Oh and Mackenzie's on the lactose free formula. Her's is the purple bottle." Kurt added, as Kate walked back into the kitchen with Carole behind her.
The two women grabbed the bottles and handed them to the men who were each holding a baby. When all of the babies were finished eating, they were changed and placed in their cribs for bed.
"Ok honey, we have to get going, but we'll see you tomorrow." Carole smiled, hugging Kurt then Blaine.
"What time do you want us to come over?" Jack asked.
"How about 10:00?" Kurt suggested.
"Sounds good." replied Burt, as he hugged his son. "See you tomorrow, good night."
"Good night dad." smiled Kurt. "Good night everyone, see you in the morning.
"Bye mom, bye dad. See you in the morning." said Blaine, as he hugged his parents.
"Bye son." said Jack.
"I hope the babies don't wake up too much tonight." Kate teased.
Blaine laughed. "Yeah, us too."
After everyone had left, Blaine and Kurt were in a quiet house, with six sleeping babies.
"Let's go to bed. I have a feeling we're going be waking up in a few hours." Kurt suggested, taking Blaine's hand in his.
Blaine smiled. "We also have a very busy day tomorrow."
Kurt nodded agreeing.
The two men went upstairs and got ready for bed. Once under the covers, they snuggled close to each other and fell asleep.
Well, there you go. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I will try to get the next one up as soon as I can.
