Sonny's last couple weeks at So Random flew by...

"Finally the cake!" Nico ran to the door to retrieve the dessert as the rest of the cast gathered lifted the punch glasses for a final toast.

"To Sonny," Marshall began "For your creativity, encouragement, and humor that we will all miss."

Tauni smiled as she lifted her glass "And for your music, may it touch hearts all over the world"

Grady stood proud and tall "May your smile brighten everybody as it has always brightened us"

"May you always shine" Smiled Zora

Nico finished up "And may we all be as sweet as you!"

The crew raised their glasses with a cheer "To Sonny!"

Sonny watched the group as they smiled and sipped then broke into their own light conversations. This room that had so often held humor, laughs, and silliness; was given over to sentiment and love. It was a strange sight indeed. But, it brought a smile to her face.

She would miss these wonderful people. She knew in her heart that she was doing the right thing and that she could always come back. But, she also knew that things would never be the exact same again.

Still, she smiled and picked a conversation to invade. It was a wonderful night of memories and laughter.

Chad walked down the hall of the studio toward Sonny's dressing room. The Randoms party was suppose to have ended awhile ago and if he was timing it just right she would still be gathering the last of her things.

He stopped in front of the door and cleared his throat before giving a knock.

"Come in"

He opened the door to Sonny shuffling through a box with her back to the door.

She sighed "Remember this one"

He smiled. She could sense his presence just as easily as he could sense her's.

He walked over to the box and took the photo from her hand. It was a picture of them and all the randoms at the fair. But, what caught his eye was her profile and the tear he saw slide down her cheek.

"Oh, Sonny" He put his arm around her shoulders. Her tears fell harder.

All his reservation left. "Come here" He drew her into his chest and her tears began to flow.

"I'm not sure I can do this Chad" she wiped at her nose but kept her face buried in his chest.

He breathed a heavy sigh. He wanted to say "No you can't. You can't leave me" But, his heart told him something else.

"Listen Sonny" He sat her down on the couch and pulled her close. "I know how it feels to be afraid."

Sonny looked up at him and wiped her tears. "You do?" She smiled "I thought the great Chad Dillon Cooper feared nothing"

He shrugged "Well, when I was 5 I found a snake in my powerwheel"

She laughed and rested her head. "Do you really know what it is like to be afraid?"

He grew quiet. "Afraid of losing someone... yes"

Sonny looked up at him. "Chad, you will never loose me. You know that."

He smiled "I know, Sonny". He shifted his position. He wasn't going to have a pity party. She needed him. As just a friend-true, but, she needed him just the same.

"In all seriousness, Sonny, life is more than these walls. It's alright to be done. You have to know what is out there."

"And if I fail?" Sonny looked up

Chad met her gaze and smiled "You won't"

She smiled and sat herself up. She wiped her tears. "Thank you Chad"

"Anytime" He smiled as he watched her straighten.

"Well," she shook off her emotions "Are you going to help me with this packing?"

Chad groaned "Puting me to work when you know I need my beauty sleep"

"Oh, I know you do!"

"Hey!" Chad gave her a shove as they both shuffled the rest of the treasures from her dresser into the cardboard box.
