As promised here is another update! Enjoy my lovelies!
The 5 people now laying in the snow stood and trudged their way toward a road. Nova tried to shield her children from the cold and Sebastian tried to shield both her and Ciel at the same time. The temperature dropped as night fell upon the and they managed to find an abandoned little cabin in the middle of nowhere.
Nova quickly started a fire inside of a wood burning stove to warm the rinky sink shack up. Ciel sat right next to the stove shivering and with a dull face. Sebastian was out somewhere find food or something. Once the fire was lit, Nova held her children by the fire to keep them warm. They squirmed and whined, not liking all the sudden changes in temperature.
Nova noticed that Damien was particularly warm, almost too warm. She felt his forehead and came to the conclusion that he was developing a fever.
"Oh no, this is not good," she set them down in a basket she found and searced the cabin. Nova came across towels and placed them in the snow to cool them. She brought them inside and placed one on Damien's forehead.
"Don't you worry baby, I'll make you better," she held him and rocked him slowly. Lilith pouted at the attention her brother was receiving and started to whine and cry.
Damien was feeling sick and didn't understand what the feeling was and was crying as well. His mother rocking him was helping but he just wanted to not feel that way anymore. Nova sighed and held them both, "you two are a handful."
She continued rocking them and looked over to Ciel who was asleep now.
After several hours, Sebastian still had not come back and nova became worried. She made sure the twins and Ciel were fast asleep and all warm. She put on her body guard uniform and walked out into the cold.
Any footsteps Sebastian may have left were gone, the blizzard falling on top of her was much to strong to use a physical trail. She attempted to follow a scent or a soul trail. Nothing.
She trudged through the snow and tried to speak to him telepathically. She received a small signal and immediately followed it. The demoness used her jacket collar to cover her face, her eyes were glowing and she looked terrifying.
Nova walked for what felt like hours, but she needed to find Sebastian. He was a demon but he could still get hurt or buried by snow. Her legs began weaken and she started to turn back. The snow and wind were extremely strong and she fell into the bank of snow.
"I shouldn't have left. I need to go back" she slowly got up and walked back in the direction she thought she was walking. But her tracks were gone. Nova had no way of finding her way back.
Nova shivered violently as she tried to find some sort of shelter. Her eyelashes were covered in little icicles. "What's that?" She said as she came closer to a giant shadow. She soon realized that it was a cave.
She thanked whatever god or devil she was supposed to thank and quickly ran inside. It wasn't much warmer but at least the wind and the snow weren't falling on her like boulders.
Somehow she found dry sticks and some leaves and managed to make a small fire. Nova became very worried; her children and brother were all alone and she had left them like that. Tears started to fall from her eyes. She missed them. She missed mey-rin and the boys, she missed Sebby. She especially missed Pluto.
Everyone she ever loved was flashing in her mind at that moment. Nova wanted to see them all again, but almost half of them were dead. She started to hum a song to herself.
"Maybe this will make me sleep," she said to herself. Her dark hair formed a ring around her head when she laid down. The world around her became dark and she slowly fell asleep.
