This chapter was hard to update. Even though I almost doubled the length, I still feel like I should buff it up more. But hey, it's much better now, and I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Chapter 2: Back in time Dragon Ball Saga
He woke up with a start, and would have sat up straight if he wasn't already doing so. He found that his eyes were already open, staring at the colors in front of him. After he blinked a couple of times, he found himself sitting at a table of some sorts. Looking on the table that he was sitting at, he was finally able to recognize that it was a nice, round, wooden table. The candle in the middle flickered and caught his attention. Quickly scanning the room, it all felt so… familiar. The chair sitting across from him was small enough for Pu'ar, just like the one he had back at his old bandit cave. The smell was that of food of decent quality, like you would get from an 'asian styled' takeout food chain. But behind that, it smelt like sweat, and the natural odor of himself. A sword that looked rather like one he used to wield was laying on a bench in front of him, beyond the table. It all reminded him of his old hide out. But as he started to look around, seeing key items like a bed that looked like one he used to sleep in, a kitchen that Pu'ar, Yamcha's oldest and currently deceased friend, used to cook in all the time, and his favorite tree painting he realized that this IS his old bandit hide out!
I'm back… But how? He thought to himself, as he noticed he had noodles hanging out of his mouth. Shouldn't I be up in heaven by now, or did my life finally decide to flash before my eyes before I die this time?
The noodles were good.
Just after he started contemplating this, and trying to disprove the flashing before his eyes theory, Pu'ar came down the later off to his left "Yamcha, 3 sitting ducks!"
"What?" Yamcha started, startled. Pu'ar, is that really him? But… no, it couldn't be. Pu'ar has been dead for over 10 years now… Right? Even in this world with dragon balls, he shouldn't be alive… unless…
Somewhere inside his brain, something clicked, and he knew what was currently happening. The scene that was playing out in front of him reminded him a great deal of when he first met Goku. The time he first met Bulma. Everything flooded back in his head, the old stories that have been pieced together from the nights at the Breif's, memories that are drifting in and out of his head, and the casual break from his job that allowed him and Pu'ar to go and explore the world as it once was.
But what should he do now? What could he do now? Was everything just happening as it already happened, or was he free to change history for the better? I might as well keep everything the same, I don't know what will happen if I don't.
So he tried to remember what he would have said back in the good old days, and he said exactly what he said all those decades ago, but this time with a smile "It's been a while since we had some prey."
While getting himself together, he thought all about Pu'ar. He has missed the little guy so much. He has also been dead for years… But he wasn't strong enough to keep his body in the afterlife. So no talking to his little buddy once he kicked the bucket and moved on, for one would be training with the best of the best, and the other would be processed and sent to heaven. Maybe.
Anyhow, quickly summing up any situation was a skill that Yamcha has greatly improved on in the past couple of decades. He was back in his old hideout, with a very young Pu'ar, and the parts of himself that he could see, like his hands looked really young. This is undeniably something like time travel. He thought, while trying put together what he should do next. He thought about flying there, but with his old age gave him great knowledge of what would happen if he messed with the timeline. It wasn't a pretty picture. He also didn't know if he could even fly yet.
I'll take the jet squirrel just like the first time. He thought, not wanting to impact the timeline yet, and went with his little cat to go visit his old friends, ones that didn't even know him yet. However, before he left, he knew he would never come back. He grabbed all his capsules, his sword, and anything else he thought he would need, and put them all in his sack. Man purse, Bulma's voice nagged in his head, as Bulma nagged him about it back when they were teens.
To catch back up on the time he took to gather all his positions, he gathered Pu'ar and pushed the jet squirrel to its maximum speed. He looked down at the little guy and smiled a smile only old men looking back into their memories could have. Pu'ar didn't notice because he was looking straight ahead, and Yamcha silently thanked whoever was responsible for this happening. He thought a bit more on the situation at hand before he looked back up, sensing the 3 power levels ahead of him. They were all incredibly small, especially comparing them to what he is used to dealing with, but one was still several times stronger than the average human.
But so am I. He thought to himself as he slowed the jet to a stop, and said "Yo!"
"Who are you?" the little Saiyan boy inquisitively asked, no fear on his face. Just the native look he always had on.
"I have a bad feeling about this…" the pig said, the look of fear written all over his face as he took a step back.
More memories flowed into his mind, with one standing out. The old introduction he used to say, how he is, or now how he used to be, the 'hyena of the wasteland' and whatnot. His smile grew soft as he remembered all the fun he used to have with it, a lifetime ago. He decided not to say it though, the thief part of him is older than the dust they walk on. He wanted to test Goku, test the situation, and test his ability to control this body, and see if everything was how it was back then.
"I am Yamcha, a bandit of this desert. You two are Goku and Oolong." he turned to face Goku. "You must fight me, or else I will kill all of you. If I win, you're dead. If you win, I will help you find the dragon balls."
Goku's eyes went wide, and he felt a warm feeling spread quickly throughout his body, followed by a burst of energy and adrenalin. He knew this person meant business. But how did he know about the dragon balls? Oolong doesn't even know about them yet!
Oolong was more frightened by the individual's knowledge of their names and the malevolent sword that rests by his hip. He backed away, accusing Yamcha of being just a little dog who could do nothing to Goku's strength, and pushed Goku into the fight while he ran to hide behind a pillar with his young companion named Bulma. Looking over, he saw she was still in a deep sleep. This could be his big chance for a little feel!
Yamcha ignored him, knowing that in a couple of years, Oolong wouldn't be fit for saving the world. But if Goku, and maybe even himself, got stronger, things that will happen could only turn out with more positive results. The following is a result of his thoughts over the past 10 minutes. This world WILL be better, he promised himself, it WILL have less sadness, and it WILL be the best universe that anyone could hope for. Right now, Yamcha is much stronger than Goku. He was able to beat the Saiyan the last time they fought here, and now not only does he know more, but he isn't afraid of any woman. Especially not Bulma… Although she is easily the most intimidating out of all of them.
Goku started the battle with an attack with his trusty bow-staff Nyoibo, while the ex-bandit was in thought, it growing to 4 times its original length. Yamcha not only snapped out of thought in time, but he also knew about the staff and its magical ability to grow, and dodged to the side.
"The legendary staff Nyoibo. I'm sorry for the loss of your grandfather." I guess I'll have some fun with him before he starts winning against me. Yamcha thought, while Goku's eyes grew wide in surprise. The old bandit decided to use his old technique "WOLF FANG FIST!" as he attacked Goku with a kick to get him off balance, followed by series of blows and ending with a double handed claw attack into the Saiyan's stomach. Yamcha felt a rush of energy when he used his favorite technique, and a bit of misplacement. Heh, of course my body is not used to this energy yet. Yesterday, it was only as strong as a strong human.
The fight decided it was time for a little pause, with the young child finding himself under a pile of rubble. The bandit looked over at the pig, the look of constant battle still worn on his face. Being too scared to do anything to Bulma, and not being able to fight, the swine started to back off as he panicked and yelled at the bandit to stay away. Then, he had a sudden realization to turn into a fly and take flight to escape. However, this was easily stopped by Pu'ar who turned into a fly swatter. Yamcha turned to his friend and congratulated him with a simple "Good job", and told him to keep an eye on the pig. Pu'ar also took this time to insult Oolong and called him a perverted swine, which really got on the pig's nerves.
Yamcha turned around, knowing that the kid wasn't done with the fight. He would use his grandfather's Rock-Paper-Scissors technique. The best defense would be the Turtle Style block… Yamcha hoped his body could keep up with what his mind wanted to do without ever being trained to do it. This would be his first test of mind over matter.
The alien popped out of the rubble, just as expected, and loudly stated "HEY, THAT HURT!" He dusted himself off and jumped out, finally stating "I still have my Jan-Ken to use!" Yamcha was able to push away the punch and block the scissor attacks with a sideways open palm, but the open hand paper attack was too fast. The power was able to push him back a bit, but he was able to come out damage free by rolling with the force of the attack.
Pu'ar looked on in shock. Sure, his best friend has been acting a little weird ever since he met with these 3 people, but this fight right now was beyond anything the little cat has ever seen. Yamcha was defending using moves he not only never used before, but ones he never even bragged about! Yamcha always bragged and showed off any new moves to him. This was troubling him until he saw his old bully Oolong try to escape. He was quickly put the pig back in his place.
Tired and hungry, Goku fell to the ground and couldn't move much, which was a sign that he was defeated. Yamcha started to walk over to him as he heard Bulma starting wake up. "What's going on?" she said as she rubbed her eyes.
"Hey Bulma." The bandit was the first to speak. "I'm going to be traveling with you 3 and collect the dragon balls, all while training Goku. We will be using Oolong's Capsule vehicle to sleep in and ride in as I train the Saiy-, the boy. So, let's get going!" He went over to pick Goku up.
Bulma stared way too sleepy to fully understand what was happening, but then slowly realizing what was happening, and hardly believed what she thought she heard. Not only was this good looking guy talking to her, but he was also promising to travel with them! This was definitely good news to her ears.
"Then why did you say you were going to kill us?!" the pig stated aghast, both annoyed and afraid. Bulma ignored him, taking the bandit's words closer to heart. He was the good looking one, after all. She never liked the perverted pig. Wait… didn't the newcomer say something about Oolong having a Capsule Vehicle big enough to fit everyone inside? She will definitely have a little 'talk' to the pig later about holding out on them…
His face was down, cheek pressed into the dirt, with a hand on his back. "Well, that's another win for me" an old voice said.
"I'll get you next time grandpa!" Goku promised, with his face still in the dirt. "Um, Grandpa, I think something is wrong. I can't move."
"Just relax, your obviously tired from such a great fight" Grandpa Gohan announced. "I just cannot wait for the day when you'll be the one standing over me, and I'm immobile on the ground"
"… But that's not going to happen, is it?" Goku asked, his voice shaking a bit.
"Well, the future is quite uncertain, so who knows? You may end up being stronger than me. The very strongest ever."
Goku felt a force pulling him up, and he started floating up "D-do you really think so grandpa?" His tears were all dried up.
"I know so. I'll see you later Goku" Gohan said before he faded away.
"See ya later…" And Goku felt happy.
Goku woke up shortly after he passed out from exhaustion. He couldn't remember his dream, but the Saiyan was happy. Why? He didn't know. But that was ok with him. He didn't need to know.

Not posting power levels yet. Even with the editing, it's a bit to early for that.
Other comments from me:
I love reviews. Let me state it here, for every review I get, I will write 200 words before the week is finished. If you draw me a fan-drawing for this story, I will do so much more (I might even write and post a new chapter within a month.) The better the drawings, the more dedicated I will be to me work.
Everything belongs to Akira, and the other companies that own the rights to dragon ball and DBZ.
Although I enjoy writing, my life is very sporadic. There is no constant updating. I will continue to work on and think of new ideas for this, but I don't know when that will be. For instance, I haven't updated in 8 months, but as you can see, I'm still working on this. It'll be another couple of months until I update the rest of the chapters and upload all of them, but if you're reading this, then they are all there.
Last but not least, thank you for reading! Leave a review, and I will answer you in either PM or in a chapter. Thanks for all your support so far,
