Tsuna grudgingly accepted the broom being held in front of his face. The boys in his class insisted that he stay behind and help clean. Their excuse was that they had better more important things to do and knew Tsuna didn't.
'Help my foot. They're making me do all the work. They aren't even helping.' Tsuna thought bitterly as started sweeping the floor.
Tsuna continued to think throughout the entire time. He felt his chest constrict and he shifted his shoulders, trying to get rid of the uncomfortable tightness. He couldn't bring himself to bother really since he got this tenseness all the time. He just worked through it because there was nothing to worry about.
There must have been some truth to what he thought too because when he finished cleaning the classroom, he was fine. Everything loosened and he moved on; putting the brooms and cloths back into a cupboard in a back corner of the class.
He hurried out of the classroom, bumping into Reborn in his haste. The two would have went down from Tsuna's momentum but Reborn braced himself on the door frame, bringing an arm around Tsuna's waist.
"Why are you in such a hurry, Tsuna?" Reborn asked. Tsuna wrenched himself free, fixing his shirt so it looked less ruffled.
He held up three fingers, held up a thumb, and held his first two fingers and his thumb horizonatally across his chest. He paused, looking at Reborn to see if he got anything wrong.
"I know what you did, keep going." Reborn prompted.
Tsuna continued spelling everything out. He was much quicker now that he had an idea of what to say and Reborn nodded.
"You don't like it there, I don't blame you. Did you have cleaning duty?"
Tsuna nodded, frowning in distaste.
"Did you even try to protest"
He didn't see how he could. He couldn't speak and they would have pushed him back into the classroom if he tried to leave, if this was anything like how the two bullies in his old school did. Tsuna just shook his head though and Reborn made a small noise.
"Whatever. Try to stand up for yourself next time. People will see you as easy to walk over and soon you'll be a bridge."
'Bridges are fun.' Tsuna signed. Reborn rolled his eyes, sighing a little.
The next few weeks were a blur of activity. Tsuna was constantly getting more and more school work as he tried to catch up on the curriculum he missed. Reborn helped him the entire time, all the while keeping up with his own work. Tsuna was impressed and annoyed that Reborn was still doing so well.
The weekend, he had hoped, would be a time where Tsuna did nothing. Most of the time he was forced into more physical therapy. His dad was giving him booklets on things to do so his schooling wasn`t completely shot but they were for fourth grade learners.
But no, he was still in physical therapy so he could actually gain more movement of his wrists now. He had really bad burns to the point where there wasn`t skin for a time in parts and his wrists still hurt to a point he couldn`t move them. So the last couple weeks were solely to help his wrists.
They pushed him harder this session though. They hadn`t done more than he could handle because of how his lungs made it harder for him to breathe. His doctors had advised the staff to be careful too. But they pushed him this time and he wasn`t sure how he felt about it.
Iemitsu was waiting for him when Tsuna walked out and he seemed too deep in thought to ask him how it went. It was a quiet drive home. Iemitsu always made odd comments along the way but this time he was just quiet. He listlessly dropped Tsuna off at the front of the house and offered a small wave as he drove off.
It wasn`t the friendliest ways he had expected his dad to act but oh well.
He walked into his dorm and felt an extreme sense of deja vu as Reborn was doing push-ups again, but this time with somebody else.
When the door closed, the two both stopped and looked over. Reborn looked collected as always and was barely sweating through his shirt. The other guy was scarlet as he huffed and puffed through a greeting, collapsing onto his stomach.
"I win." Reborn announced. The person on the ground ground and tried to protest but choked on his words.
"Not fair!" The guy announced. He finally regained his breathing and jumped onto his feet, getting in Reborn's face. Reborn was fazed as he headbutted the person.
"I won fair and square. Unless you want to go back on our bet, that is. I can always tell Lal-" Reborn started but the other guy spoke over him, cutting him off. "Leave her out of this."
"Alright then, puppy. Make sure she feeds you."
"Maybe I should fetch you the bones of a lizard, give you something to summon."
The two broke apart right as Reborn was about to sock the other in the jaw. Tsuna start moving towards the kitchen, not willing to get caught in a potential fight. But the other dude turned towards him, smiling.
"You must be Tsuna!" He said enthusiastically. "I'm Colonnello!"
"And I'm tired." Tsuna heard Reborn mutter as he walked off. Colonnello shot him a look but didn't say anything as he smiled back at Tsuna.
"Hello...I'm Tsuna. Don't put anything on my name, just Tsuna's fine." He muttered. He wanted to edge into the kitchen so he could get his inhalers but Colonnello looked like he wanted to talk more.
He was saved though as Reborn breezed back in and said something to Colonnello in another language. Tsuna blinked, looking between the two as the conversation turned heated but in the end Colonnello nodded and marched out. He gave a friendly smile to Tsuna though, waving as he went.
"Um...Should I ask what you said?" Tsuna wondered aloud. Reborn shrugged.
"I just told him to leave. We were both speaking Italian if you were wondering."
"How many languages do you know?" Tsuna narrowed his eyes as he thought about Reborn knowing more than Japanese. He looked up hopefully at Reborn, honestly curious how many he knew. Reborn seemed kind of taken aback at how eager Tsuna looked to learn about him and he took a second to think about his answer.
"I know Italian since I grew up in Italy, Japanese, English, Mandarin, German, Cantonese, French, Spanish, maybe some more...Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head."
Tsuna blinked in shock. He expected maybe a few more but not six.
"Which one's your best language?" Tsuna asked. He walked over to the couch and sat down, Reborn joining him.
"Probably Italian but since I'm using Japanese more it's getting easier to use it. It was pretty hard to adjust to speaking Japanese all the time since I was so used to speaking Italian."
"Do you do the thing where you forget words but know what it is in another language?"
"All the time. I almost did it when I first met you I almost started talking in Italian."
"How much free time did you have?"
"Too much." Reborn smiled mischievously. "It makes for an interesting life though. People don't actually think I could learn as many languages as I have. It's funny watching them make fun of my accent and think I can't understand them yet they're speaking something like English or Mandarin."
Tsuna laughed but it ended in a coughing fit. Reborn watched with mildly concerned eyes, leaning forward to see Tsuna's face.
"I-I'm fine, sorry." Tsuna said. He waved Reborn away and tried to regain himself but it didn't work for long as he doubled over. Reborn swiftly got up and retrieved Tsuna's inhaler he had stashed in the kitchen, handing it to Tsuna. "T-Thanks…" Tsuna tried to say something else but his throat closed down, his entire body wracked with coughs.
Reborn straightened Tsuna's shoulders, holding them so his airways weren't restricted but when he tried to let Tsuna sit on his own he almost fell over. Reborn furrowed his eyebrows and let Tsuna rest against him, holding him still and feeling Tsuna gasp and struggle to breathe.

Welp, this wasn't a month, 17 days I think. I'm getting better! And now I have nothing else to do with my life. Hopefully you enjoyed this. I'd love to hear your thoughts and if I need to change anything.
