Kyra slept.

For days she slept in the grotto with the Master Wizard and her faithful Companions. She tossed and turned sometimes screamed and writhed, her body burned and in the cool of the nights would steam the inside of her tent. On the third night of her fitful slumber, she burst into flames and nearly burnt down the tent with her inside.

"She's dangerous." Farkas says, looking towards the tent. The fire crackles and he sips his tea, warming his hands around the hot mug.

"There is a battle being waged inside of her. Kyra and something else...something powerful." Belle replied, her eyes not breaking their gaze into the flames of the campfire. Minette could feel the power emanating from Kyra like a wave of prickling heat.

"Loathe as I am to admit this, I think we should just leave her our supplies and walk away. She's the Dragonborn, she's Kyra, she'll find her way to Jorrvaskr and we can help her from there." Farkas says, looking to the group for confirmation but there was none to be found.

"No way." Minette shakes her head from side to side.

"I'm not abandoning her after all the time I spent trying to help her, you can go if you want but I'm staying." She adds, a resolute tone in her voice.

"I agree, Kyra needs help. Just—the kind of help we can't give her." Belle agrees, her gaze finally leaving the fire only to look up to the tent behind them as the flap parts and Kyra slowly stumbles out as if in a daze.

"Kyra!" Minette runs to her as Kyra takes another step then collapses to the ground.

Minette skids to her side and brushes some of the hair away from her face. Kyra's skin burns the tips of her fingers, Minette pulls away a little shaking them in the air.

Kyra's eyes snap open, glowing white as she jumps to her feet. Farkas steps between the other women and Kyra and growls at her his hand pulling back for a powerful punch. Kyra steps into Farkas' long reach and dodges his wild swing, she seems to shimmer and blur as his swing seems to pass through her and Kyra rights herself in Farkas' space.

Her fists clench and she pummels them into his midsection in a blinding flurry of blows, suddenly she twists and launches off her back foot as Farkas goes flying back and slams into the rock wall of the cave. Kyra slowly lowers her extended leg to the ground and turns her back to Farkas, coming eye to eye with Minette.

"Kyra..." She begins as Kyra cocks her head at Minette, quizzical her white eyes staring unblinkingly at the young Companion taking her in. Kyra's lips part as if to say something.

Farkas catches his breath and sprints towards Kyra, Minette looks at him over Kyra's shoulder her eyes widening.

"No! Farkas-" But her words came too late.

Kyra launches herself into the air arching her body head towards her back her thighs wrapping around Farkas' neck, her hands come down palms flat on the ground as she sends him spinning end over end into the wall again. Farkas slams into the rocky cavern wall in a cloud of dust as Kyra lands in a half crouch, one leg extended out to her side toes pointed away from her. Minette's eyes widen, Kyra barely made a sound as she hit the ground.

Kyra slowly rises to her feet and takes an unsure step towards Minette, with each step the heat in the room seems to fade as Kyra's blue eyes begin to show through the glowing white, her arm reaches out to Minette as she collapses again.

"Belle go check on Farkas." Minette orders, she takes a knee beside Kyra and examines her face. Maribelle comes back helping Farkas limp over beside them.

"See? Dangerous." He mutters, grunting as Belle lets him fall slowly to the ground.

"You can take a bigger beating than that, Brother." Minette adds, sitting back on her haunches arms hugging her knees, she stares thoughtfully at Kyra.

"She needs help we can't give. We need someone who knows more about her than anyone." Minette muses aloud.

"What're you thinking?" Belle asks, looking down at Kyra's limp body.

"I'm thinking desperate times call for desperate measures." Minette adds, lost in thought as she stares at Kyra.

Farkas and Mirabelle both stare at the thoughtful expression on Minette's face.

Minette was thinking about a bedtime story Kyra told her when she was just a little girl, looking just as she did now so very long ago. About a friend who lived high atop a mountain, a friend whose life she spared and who helped her save the world.

A Dragon who just might have the answers she needed.
