(I do not own Divergent. Nor will I ever. I just own my ideas)

Hey readers,

I am so sorry that it has taken this long to upload! Not updating for 7 months is ridiculous and I was going to update soon but I ran into kind of a road block. The week before thanksgiving break (which was when I was originally going to update) I got a concussion and was not able to use any electronics for 3 weeks. I am finally over that but other things got in the way. I did get into a long distance relationship for a little while but ended it about a month ago. On top of that, I've been really stressed with school!

Anyway, here is the next part of Tris and Tobias's time in Erudite. I don't really know what kind of things I should add to this to make it more interesting so I am just writing what seems to fit. Oh, and someone commented that I didn't do any of Tobias's POV in the last chapter and that is correct. I wasn't planning to do any of his point of view for Erudite but I may to try and shake it up a little. Almost, if not all of the trip to Candor will be in Tobias's POV. Abnegation is a huge part of both of their lives therefore both point of views will be included.

Enjoy

Tris POV

I'm walking down the hallway on the way to the elevators with Tobias at my side. It is Thursday evening and we just finished blowing things up in the lab. We are both covered in black marks and Tobias's hair sticks up at odd angles. When we get into the elevators, I grab onto his hand subconsciously and hold on until the doors open at our floor.

When we approach our door, I pull my key out of my pocket and scan it before pushing the door open. I drop the key on the kitchen table before going over to the fridge and taking out a water bottle. I close the door and notice that Tobias went into the bathroom, most likely to shower. In the mean time, I grab my laptop out of the bag next to the table and carry it over to the bed before plopping down on it.

I open the screen and to see if any there any messages from Max and there actually happens to be one.

Tris,

I was hoping you could relay this message to Four when you get the chance. Shauna woke up this morning around 5. She is able to talk normally but like before, she doesn't remember anything. Since I heard that you two are doing well with the simulations you are being put through in Erudite, I wanted to see if I could speed this trip up a little to get you guys back sooner. I will be talking to Jack and your father tomorrow about the time you spend in Candor and Abnegation but I already talked to Caleb and he said it is fine if you leave Erudite a tomorrow night instead of Monday. You will be put under two more simulations before you leave tomorrow. So get packing and see you tomorrow.

-Max

Well, at least I get to cut this part of my trip a little short. I honestly hate being here. I will probably have the same feelings about being in Candor too because they are also obnoxious but I have no choice but to go.

I am just about to shut my computer when I notice another message that wasn't in my inbox before. I open it and see it is from Uriah.

Hi Tris, I just got word from Max that you are coming home for a few days. I can't wait to see you. Be prepared, I am taking you out on Saturday. I love you!

-Uriah

I close my computer and let out a sigh. When am I going to break up with Uriah now?

I swing my legs over the bed with my pajamas in one hand and my computer in the other. I drop my computer off of the kitchen table before going over to the bathroom. I bag on the door loudly and it opens to a shirtless Tobias wiping off his face. When he removes the towel, I notice he must have just shaved because he looks a little younger.

He smirks at me and I push him out of the way so I can get changed. When I am done I step out of the bathroom and walk over to my suitcase. I drop my stuff inside and walk towards the bed and plop down next to Tobias. He looks up at me and smiles.

I return the smile before speaking, "We have to pack tomorrow. Max got the okay for us to go home tomorrow evening because Shauna woke up and I'm guessing he wants us to make a decision about Zeke." I say to him before lying down on his bare chest. "Okay, did he say how Shauna was?" I move my head slightly so I can look at him. "He said she is doing okay but she doesn't have her memory." I say with a frown. "What if she doesn't get it back? She might never remember any of us. I haven't known her for long but I feel like we were really friends." Tobias runs his fingers through my hair as I say this and sighs when I finish.

"I don't know Tris. I honestly don't. I've know Shauna since initiation and she was like a sister to me." He says before kissing my forehead and getting up. He heads into the bathroom and I question whether or not I should ask him about the Uriah situation. I know I should tell him when I get back tomorrow but maybe it would be best until the entire trip is done. I sigh and pull Tobias's pillow over my face.

He must have walked out in that second because I feel the pillow being lifted off my face and Tobias's stern eyes come into view. "This is about Uriah isn't it?" he asks and I give him a confused look. He chuckles, "I figured we would have to talk about it. So, do you want to tell him tomorrow or Saturday?" I sit up and bring my arms around his neck and he settles his on my waist. "I should probably do it Saturday. I was originally thinking that we should wait until the entire trip is over but I want to do this," I lean in a kiss him chastely. "In public." I finish with a smile.

"So are you going to do it alone or do you want me there for moral support." He asks and I shake my head. "He might want to kill you when I tell him because god knows that he wanted to do that when I told him that you loved me. Maybe you should spend that time with Shauna. Try to jog her memory. A familiar male face that doesn't scare her to death might be helpful."

"Okay," he says before we both settle into bed and fall asleep.

-PAGE BREAK-

I wake up in the morning to the annoying Erudite alarm clock and get up. I hear the toilet flush and Tobias walks out. He comes over to me and plants a kiss on my forehead before going over to his suitcase. I grab a pair of dark pants and a blue blouse out for the day and a pair of black jeans, black tank top, and my leather jacket to change before leaving tonight. I put everything else from around the room into my suitcase, occasionally throwing one of Tobias's things in his.

Once I'm done, I grab my erudite clothes and get changed in the bathroom. By the time I'm done, Tobias is standing next to the door in his Erudite clothes. He really looks odd in blue but I suppose it could be worse. He is wearing a pair of blue pants and a tucked in white dress shirt that has the top two buttons open. I take his hand after grabbing my key and head down to breakfast.

We both grab trays off food and sit at the table we have been at for the last couple days with Cara and two other initiate trainers, Ryan and Jonathan. When we sit down, they all look up from their food. Cara is the first to speak, "So, I heard you guys are heading home early." I give her a questioning look. "Caleb told us." Is all she says and I nod before eating.

After breakfast, Cara walks with us on the way to the simulation room. Before her and I head in, she turns to Tobias and I, "Would you rather get both simulations done early and do them one after the other?" she asks and I look at Tobias who nods. "Okay then, Tris. Let's go." And with that, I follow her into the simulation room.

I sit down on the chair and get ready for the needle but it doesn't come. I open my eyes to see Cara sitting in front of me. "So, why are you guys leaving tonight?" she asks and I laugh. Of course she would ask questions, she is Erudite after all. "A friend of ours has woken up from a coma she has been in since we left for Amity. She lost her memory and we are going to try and jog it while we are home before we leave again. We also have to make a couple leadership decisions. "I reply and she nods before turning around a grabbing the needle.

I feel the needle go in the serum running through my system before everything changes. I am now sitting in a chain at the Hub. I look around me and all the factions are represented and the choosing bowls are at the center. "Beatrice Prior," I hear and slowly stand up. I make my way to the front and accept the knife from Marcus. "Choose wisely Beatrice," he says and I know what he means. When I was choosing, my divergence was dangerous. I have to pick Abnegation to stay safe. I cut my palm and squeeze my blood out over the grey stones before walking back and taking my seat.

Once I sit down, my environment changes and I am going into the second simulation. I am sitting at a table with Uriah in Dauntless. "How was your time in Erudite?" he asks and now I know what this simulation is. I have to figure out the most logical way to break up with him. I take a sip of the water in front of me and reply, "It was good but Uriah, there is something we need to talk about." I take his hand in mine and take a deep breath. "Uriah, do you truly love me?" I say and he takes a second before replying "Yes, why are you asking Tris?"

"Look Uriah, you are a great guy but I don't think you're the right one for me." I say and wait for his reaction. He shakes his head and frowns, "I'm so stupid." He says to himself before speaking to me. "It's because of Four isn't it?" he asks and I begin to shake my head quickly. "No, of course not. I just don't think we are meant for each other." I lie straight to his face.

I sit for a second and then I feel my cheek sting. I put my hand up to it and it is hot. He slapped me! "You liar, I saw you with Four! I know you two were together!" he screams before slapping me again and walking out. I start to cry and everything goes black.

Once again I feel the simulation chair underneath me and I open my eyes to a frowning Cara. She pities me and I hate it. I wipe my face and stand up abruptly. Without looking back, I open the door and slam it behind me.

Tobias stands up when he sees me but I shake my head. He understands and moves around me to go into the room. I take the seat he was once sitting in and put my head in my hands. What if Uriah really does react like that? I want him to still be my friend, not for him to hate me.

-PAGE BREAK-

It didn't take Tobias too long to finish his simulations but he seemed a little off when he came out of the room. "You okay?" I ask and he just shrugs before taking my hand and walking toward the elevator.

Once we arrive back at the "apartment" he goes straight into the bathroom and comes out with the rest of his stuff he needs to pack. He is moving so quickly around the room my head is spinning. Finally, after his 3rd pass in front of me, I grab his arm causing him to come to a screeching half. He whips his head around to face me but he doesn't look angry. He looks sad and frustrated.

"Tobias, what's wrong?" I say gently while taking his face in my hand. His face settles into my touch and now he just looks sad. "Tris, please. Can we talk about this when we get home?" he pleads and I nod my head. He tries to give me a small smile but he fails. I kiss his cheek lightly before going over to my suitcase to finish packing.

We both finish our last minute packing fairly quickly and are currently sitting at the kitchen table in silence. I am about to get up to get some water when there is a knock at the door. I motion my head towards the door, eyebrow raised. Tobias just shrugs before going towards the door. Caleb walks in and around the corner to meet me as I walk back to the kitchen table. "Ready to go?" he asks and I nod and move towards the suitcases. I offer mine to Caleb and he takes it while I take my laptop bag. Tobias takes his own stuff but wraps his laptop case around his shoulder so he has a free hand.

As we walk to the elevator, I take Tobias's hand and squeeze it. He doesn't return it so I drop his hand. Something really must have really bothered during the simulation.

We enter the elevator but I don't make the effort to comfort Tobias. We step out of the elevator to find Max looking very uncomfortable starring up at the ceiling. I come up to him and pat his cheek and he looks down at me. "Ah, Tris. How the hell are ya?" he asks and I shake my head with a slight smile on my lips.

He looks behind me at Tobias and Caleb. "Four, nice to see you again." He says and Tobias nods in acknowledgement. I guess he can feel the tension in the room because he shakes his head and moves toward Caleb. He whispers something in his ear and he shrugs.

"Well, thanks for keeping these two for the last couple days. I assume that all went well. So I will take that bag from you Mr. Prior and we will be on our way. Caleb nods and hands my bag to Max. He begins to walk toward the exit and both Tobias and I follow but I am stopped by a hand on my shoulder. I look back and it's Caleb.

"What? No goodbye for your brother?" he asks with a slight smile and I shake my head. I let him pull me into his arms and I hug him back. After a second I pull away, "Goodbye Caleb." I kiss his cheek and walk out of the building. Tobias and Max are standing there starring at different things. "Ready to go?" I ask and they both look toward me.

Max walks toward the train tracks and I am guessing we are going home Dauntless style. After about 5 minutes, I feel the familiar rumble of the ground signaling the train is approaching. As the front end passes, we all take off in a sprint. Max is the first to get on followed by Tobias. I jump on at the last second and steady myself.

We all look at each other before sitting down. No one says anything the entire way back to Dauntless and the only reason I know it is time to get off is that Max gets up and goes toward the door. We all jump off one by one and walk towards the members' entrance. We are all silent as we make our way to the Pit. Max stops us at the edge of the Pit and turns around.

"I want to meet with you tomorrow at 10am. We have some things we need to discuss." He says before handing me my suitcase and walking off to god knows where. Tobias and I look between each other before heading toward the elevators. Tobias grabs his keys and puts the key in the slot so that the doors pop open. We both step inside and wait for the doors to close. Once they do, I take Tobias's hand in mine and he looks down at me.

"Can we talk? Please." I say and he nods. He puts in another key and the elevator moves to my apartment. I look at him in suspicion because he has my key but he just shrugs. The doors open and the first things I notice is Christina sitting on my couch. I quickly pull my hand out of Tobias's and run it through my hair.

"Christina." I say flatly and she turns around. "Tris!" she screams and runs up to me. "I missed you. How have you been?" she says quickly and I put up a hand to stop her. "I'm fine. Not to be rude but why are you here?" her face fall when I say this. "I just wanted to have some girl time but if you're busy then I can just leave." She starts to walk past me but I grab her arm. "Four and I have some things to discuss about the rest of our trip but I will make you a deal. After dinner, you can come up and we can have a sleepover and I will participate in your girl time." I say putting quotes around "girl time." Her smile returns and she nods before stepping into the elevator and leaving.

I turn Tobias, "you want to sit down?" He nods and we both go over to the couch, leaving our bags by the door. I sit on the edge of the couch and he sits in the chair next to it and turns to me. "What happened in that simulation?" I ask and he turns away from me before speaking. "I had to figure out the most logical way to accept the fact that you left me. The simulation showed you breaking up with me and I was heartbroken. I couldn't deal with it. I was supposed to come up with the most logical way but I failed. I just jumped into the Chasm to stop the simulation." He turns back toward me and there are a couple silent tears making their way down his face.

"Oh, Tobias. I'm not going to leave you. I love you so much and nothing is going to change that. I am going to officially break up with Uriah tonight and then I will be 100% yours." I take his face in my hands and pull his face to mine. I kiss him slowly, trying to pour out my feelings toward him. He responds immediately with the same intensity. I move over so that I'm straddling him and he lets out a growl from the back of his throat. He moves his hand to the back of my neck and works his lips down my neck, sending a shiver down my spine.

We kiss until we run out of air and pull away from each other, panting. "Tobias," I say and he shakes his head. I gently move off of his lap and walk toward the bags left by the door. I grab mine and walk them to my bedroom, setting the down on my bed. I take my laptop and cross my main room to the office and set the case on the desk.

I move back into the living room to see Tobias still sitting on the couch. "Aren't you going to go back your apartment?"I ask and he turns his head up to me. "Yeah, might as well right? I'll see pick you up for dinner?" he asks, getting up and moving toward me. "Yeah, I love you." I kiss him and he heads out the door.

Before going into my bedroom, I take out my phone and text Uriah telling him to meet me in front of the cafeteria.

I walk out across the main room into my bedroom and get changed real quickly. By the time I'm done, it's time for dinner. I shove my phone and keys into my pockets of my jeans and hear the elevator ding. The doors open and Tobias stands there waiting for me. I step in and kiss his cheek. He smiles at me and presses the Pit button.

Once we hit the Pit, we both step out and make our way to the cafeteria, making small talk. When we get to the entrance I look toward him and tilt my head toward the hallway that is right next to the cafeteria before walking into the hallway. He follows me into it and I lean against the wall. He stands in front of me, his feet outside of mine.

I look up into his eyes before he crashes his lips to mine. We kiss frantically as if it will be the last time we kiss. And it will be for a while, since we don't want to get caught by Uriah. I move and walk him back so his is against the opposite wall and I'm pressed against him.

"Hey Tris, you ready to…?"

I turn my head to see Uriah starring at me, his mouth hanging open.

OH SHIT!
