Hello pretties! You wonderful people ACTUALLY DID IT! You got to ten! I'm uploading now instead of Monday, as promised, because of the tenth.
Now, I've seen your couple suggestions. I'm going to list the ones I got, and then I'm going to list the ones I was heading towards.
.
Your Couples:
Peddie
Peddie again
KT as a lesbian (interesting)
Fabina with a bump in their relationship (another one? Do they need some proactive? I'll see if I can think of any future rocky roads for them)
Peddie again
Amfie (but they would be fine with Walfie)
KT and Mick (oooh that's new)
Peddie again
Fabina again
And dear fanatic, I haven't heard of scarred but I'll be sure to check it out. I'm sorry broke your heart, and I'm working on my other House of Couples as well but it will be a little longer before that's updated. Sorry!
Peddie again
Jabian (hmmm maybe)
Walfie (could easily do that)
Pifie (I could bring her back… where I am in the story she already left)
Jeroy (I actually love this couple. I like Joy with both Jerome and Alfie!)
Peddie again (no shock)
To that reviewer who asked me about Meta, I'm working with raenbc as I type this actually! It will be coming soon!
.
The Couples I was planning on ending with:
Peddie (how could I not?)
Fabina
Amfie
Joyfie
Millow (Mick & Willow)
So do that again, decide who you want and I'll be sure to do those couples in the end. If your happy with the ones I've chosen, just say so. If not, tell me what you'd change.
Chapter 15
Backwards. It was all backwards. Hathor kept doing crazy things, and if Anubis was doing anything Jack wasn't reporting it. It had been a week since the washer broke with still no sign of the new one, and the Anubis kids were running out of clothes. Alfie was back to alien shirts, Joy wore Mick's sweatshirt every day, Mick was down to his training sweats. Mara was wearing her least favorite, worn out, flare jeans, Amber was stuck with the ugly sweaters her grandma sent her, Jerome didn't have a single clean vest left, and with his hair still flat and lifeless, he was strange to look at.
But the Hathor group were about to get a fashion change as well. Lauren was out all day that Saturday and bought new looks for all of her Housemates. She didn't come back until around 8, curfew. They chose her to do it because it was very obvious she had the best style of all of them.
The story with Lauren is, not only was she almost in Anubis House, but the 'Fab Four' could have been the 'Fab Five' with her in it. She was very close to Joy, almost closer than Patricia and Joy were. They kind of looked alike in a way. They were both short girls with tan skin and long brown hair, though she dyed her hair lighter often. A fight over a boy with Patricia turned Joy against her and she left the house in a rage. Now they don't talk, hardly even look at each other.
Trudy had just left, after cooking them dinner, to do her job at Anubis House. They crowded around the bags, all 96 of them. Not kidding. She labeled each bag with their names. May sat next to her best friend in the house and Lauren's cousin, Sara. They each looked in one of their bags and then gave each other a nervous look.
"Uh Lauren?" Sara held up a crop top. "I think you forgot the rest of this shirt at the store."
Lauren chuckled. "Don't you trust me?" she asked.
"No."
"Well you should." she said looking at all of their skeptical faces. "All of you."
Amelia spoke up. "Yeah, remember she's the expert. This is what we want!" she had stopped taking her allergy meds, and just did the nasal spray every night. The result was fast and very noticeable. Her hair wasn't as lifeless, her acne was clearing rapidly, and she was losing weight in her face. May and Sara had both begun wearing contacts. So far, this just made it even harder to tell her and her sister apart. Alison grew her hair out so that it was just an inch or two shorter than May's. Alison asked May all of the time why she began wearing contacts, along with why she was acting up all of a sudden, but May wouldn't give her an answer.
"Guys, put the clothes in those bags away." Lauren instructed. "Girls, come up stairs."
They followed Lauren to her room that was shared with Amelia and two other girls. She turned to look at them all when they got there and smiled.
"It's time for a hair change." she said. "Now... who's first? Sage?"
Sage was a dark skinned girl, who spent all of Friday afternoon taking her braids out. She followed Lauren to the bathroom, who came in with dark hair dye. It wouldn't be a big difference, since she had dark brown hair, but she never dyed her hair before. Lauren wrapped her in a towel, put on gloves, and started coating her hairline in Vaseline.
"Why are you doing that?"
"So it doesn't stain your forehead" Lauren answered. She began to do some mixing, and then said she was doing a dye test. After testing the color, she got to work. Then as Sage sat with her hair in a shower cap, she called May in.
"Hey May!" Lauren smiled. "So, I think it's time you and your sister were a little less identical. How do you feel about cutting and dying your hair?"
Lauren went to work on May's hair, cutting it to her shoulders. Then, she surprised May with beach blonde hair, before she assured her she was doing ombrè, and then explained what ombrè was. One after the other, she worked on them all. The last one of the night she worked on was dying Kat's hair blonde and cutting it. There were still about eight more to do but most of them didn't require dying their hair.
The next day she did the last finishing touches on everyone's hair, like giving Kat a purple ombrè (which she was nervous about), dying her own hair its original color, and then styling everyone else.
Amelia was one of the last. After combing, brushing, straightening and then curling April's hair she finally went to Amelia. Lauren said she was going to trim it, straighten it, but keep the color. After the hair was finished she did some eyebrow plucking and then told them all to put on their outfits. She got the boys together, which didn't take nearly as long. When she went back upstairs all of them looked uncomfortable, apart from Amelia, who was soaking it all up. She kept twirling in her outfit in front of the mirror saying 'I look good'.
"What's wrong?" she asked them. "You guys look fantastic!"
"My mom would kill me if she saw me wearing this." May said. She was wearing a red bustier top along with black jeans and black heels.
"Your mom's not here." Lauren smiled. May opened her mouth, and then closed it again. "It's kind of too late to turn back."
Everyone looked around at other people's reactions. Some of them looked excited. Some looked willing. Others looked skeptical, but they all looked pretty good. No one could deny that.
The group from Anubis were walking with their heads in their text books. They turned in their papers and the test was on Thursday. They were walking and quizzing each other. Fabian felt like they could still work, but it would probably be better to do so outside rather than be in the room all Sunday, especially since it wasn't that cool out. In fact, it was a pretty warm day.
Amber was working with Patricia and Joy, since Nina was always by Fabian these days. They were all close to each other, yet spread out over the grass. Amber was the first to see them. Three teens, two girls and one boy. She didn't recognize them, and that was strange. The only teens who should be on campus were people who went to the school.
"Patricia, who are they?" Amber asked. Her and Joy looked up and then raised their eyebrows.
"Maybe their new?" Joy shrugged.
"No!" Patricia exclaimed suddenly and then quieted down. "That's one of the twins!"
Joy and Amber looked at them again and then their jaws dropped. "That's got to be the one named after a month! Cause next to her is that girl she always hangs out with uh... what's her name?"
"Lauren's cousin." Amber commented.
"Sara!" Joy realized.
"Right!" Patricia smiled. "Sara and May!"
"Who's the guy?" Amber asked.
"I can't believe- It's Joey" Joy said.
"Rainbow Joey?" Patricia asked.
"Wow." Amber said. "They're unrecognizable."
Joy blinked. "She's really doing it then." she said. "Amelia's really trying to make Hathor Head House."
"And she's succeeding." Patricia looked back at them.
Alison was a part of the two percent of the school who didn't care what Jack Jackal said. She couldn't have cared less. And anyway, those kids were all spoiled and rotten and just awful people.
Alison was very close to her sister, May. They were forced to separate after leaving Anubis House, but it wasn't a huge deal because they still spent all day together, or they did. Alison honestly didn't know what was going on with May. She got detention twice, skipped class once, and she was just acting like a completely different person. She spent all of her time with Sara and the rest of her housemates, and Alison liked Sara, but they both hung out without her now.
But May was a different person, now inside and out.
Looking at her sister was nearly like looking in a mirror, yet that evening when she bumped into May, she didn't even realize at first that it was her sister.
"May?"
May smiled at Alison, now a good five inches higher than her with her new shoes that Lauren helped her learn to walk in. "Do you like it?"
"I didn't even recognize you." Alison frowned. "Mom would kill you if she saw you like that."
May smiled wider. "Mom's not here."
Alison gaped at her sister, before May went back to doing what she was doing.
Things were very different at Frobisher.
The sudden shift from Anubis to Hathor was very apparent. Jack was slowly reporting more and more about Hathor House. The last thing Jack said about Anubis (besides how boring they are there now) was that Jerome and Mara hooked up. That Sunday, they all took the time to actually read all of what Jack was saying.
House of Bored! What the hell? So far, this day has been nothing but a disappointment. But I promise to keep you posted if anything changes.
Holy Hathor! Either we're all in an alternate universe, or... nope. No other explanation. About five students in Hathor House just set off a stink bomb in Sweet's classroom! I KNOW! While the Anubis kids are studying and being boring, Hathor did something crazy! The group, led by Amilla Pins or something, is being talked to by Mr. Sweet himself! What an interesting change of events... –Jackal
Am I going crazy or is Hathor House are planning the… you know what? I thought Anubis always did it? And what's their reaction you might ask? Silence.
Wardrobe Blunder! What died on Amber's back? As if that thing could dare be called a sweater! Plus, her roots are showing. And Amber, honey, it's called proactive. Yikes!
Is it just me, or does it totally feel like 2009? Alfie Lewis spotted in an Alien shirt!
Sara Little of Hathor House, cousin of one of Patricia's arch enemies, Lauren Kennedy, got detention for the first time probably in her life. And did no one notice Amelia's skin looking down right flawless? Prescribe me to your doctor! Or maybe she did some witch juju, and switched skin with Amber? Girlfriend's looking pretty wrecked.
WOW! All week all I could say about Anubis… Jesus you guys look bad. But with a sudden change of events, Hathor House residents walk out looking like they came straight from a magazine! Is this real life?
Ooh! A hook up between Joey and Layla from Hathor House! Jola anyone? Nothing too serious, but I have a picture of them making out in the library! Steamy!
I've gotten a lot of messages asking me what's going on with the Anubians. Guys stop asking, I'll tell you if they do anything worth talking about, but unless you want to hear about how Jerome hasn't worn a single vest in the past week, or how Mick literally dropped his ball and picked up a book, or how every time you see them now a days their heads are down and their books are up, let me know. I'll fill you in.
These went on for pages.
After a while, Fabian put his phone on his table loudly enough that everyone looked at him, and picked his book up again. "There are more important things."
So one by one, they all went back to proving Jack how boring they all are, and went back to completing their homework and studying for their tests. After about an hour, they were joined by Piper, who sat next to her sister. Patricia groaned and looked at her sister annoyed and expecting.
"Yes look alike?" she urged.
"I wanna talk to you." Piper rubbed her elbow, she hit it on the way down.
"That's obvious." Patricia closed the book and stalked up the stairs followed closely by Piper. When they got into her room, she turned with her arms locked together.
"I'm sorry about what I said when I first got here." Piper said. "And how I made you uncomfortable about like Freddie."
"Eddie damn it!" Patricia snapped. "And I do not-"
"Patricia." Piper said slowly. "I know. In fact, I'm sure everyone knows. You like him."
"No I-"
"And he likes you, so why can't you admit it and go talk to him?" Piper asked.
"Because!" Patricia answered sharply. "I don't know."
She sighed and sat on her bed, Piper sat next to her. "Why are you so stubborn?"
"I don't know." She repeated.
"I need you to suck it up, go down there and tell him how you feel. Please."
Patricia bit her lip, and stood up. Piper grinned as she watched her sister walk down the stairs. Patricia made it all the way to the living room before she felt like she had to puke. She stood in front of Eddie and opened her mouth. He looked up and frowned at her expression, a mix of seriousness and anxiety. All eyes were on them. As she was about to speak, she could feel herself saying something stupid like 'I want to sit there weasel, you don't own that spot' and coping out. Speaking was not working, so instead she dropped down, grabbed his collar, and kissed him.
She heard at least three squeals, her guess was that they were from Joy, Amber and Willow. She heard four 'finally's, from probably Jerome, Mick, Alfie and Mara. And she heard two 'aw's, from the two Americans. When she pulled away Eddie looked dumbstruck. She bit her cheek and tried not to panic, before he smiled.
"Thank God!" he said and pulled her in again which was followed by whoops and hollers.
"Just wait for the sex!" Amber squealed. "I bet it's great!"
"How do you know we already want to have sex?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah, maybe we want to take it slow." Patricia added keeping a straight face.
"You sound like virgins." Joy said and they all laughed.
"Nothing wrong with being a virgin." Fabian spoke up.
"Well you're not a virgin anymore." Mick chuckled and bumped him on the shoulder. Fabian blushed and looked down.
"And neither is Mara…" Patricia started. "Our two virgins are all grown up!"
"Who did you lose your virginity to?" Willow asked.
"That'd be me actually." Alfie raised his hand. "Year ten, age fourteen, her room, around midnight."
"You remember all of that?" Jerome asked. "I hardly remember a thing from my first time."
"I'm insulted!" Joy exclaimed.
"Really?"
"No." she laughed. "I don't remember anything from it either. Just that it was awesome!" and they high fived.
"Wait, who said it was my first time?" Alfie asked. Patricia gaped at him.
"You said- YOU SAID IT WAS!"
"And you fell for that?" Eddie laughed. "Oldest trick in the book."
"Geez it was my second time." Alfie defended. "My first time was awful. Sometimes I like to pretend it didn't happen."
"My first time was with Mick." Amber announced proudly.
"But it certainly wasn't your last, was it?" Mick added. Amber roller her eyes. "My virginity was lost with this girl named Clair the year before I came here."
"We all know who Mara and Fabian lost theirs to." Willow said. "Alfie and Nina."
"Between Mara and Patricia, that's two virginities you own in the house." Jerome noted to Alfie. "You slut."
Another round of laughter.
"Wait, but how many virginities have you taken outside of this house?" Mick questioned. Jerome frowned and looked deep in thought.
"Don't hurt yourself." Fabian chuckled.
"Man whore." Alfie coughed, causing another round of laughter.
"Yeah, yeah." Jerome rolled his eyes with a soft grin. "Everyone knows that already."
"KT are you a virgin?" Willow wondered.
"Eh no." She shook her head. "Landis, tenth grade, big mistake."
"So I'm the only one then?" Willow asked. "I'm the only virgin?"
"Uh…" Alfie looked around. "Yeah I guess so."
"So you'll have possession of three virginities from inside the house?" Jerome asked.
"Who says?" Willow asked.
"Yeah, no rush." Alfie said.
"How noble of you." Eddie said. "But meanwhile, how are you going to satisfy that itch?"
"Eddie!" Patricia whacked him on the arm just as you could hear the phone ring.
"I'm fine." Alfie rolled his eyes. Willow bit her lip.
"If you asked like two months ago," Joy started. "Mara and Fabian would be in the same boat as you."
"Alright everyone," Alfie ended the conversation. "Isn't it time to get back to studying?"
"Actually Mr. Lewis." Victor interrupted. "It's time that you start getting ready for bed, you have twenty minutes before I drop my pin."
Everyone sighed and started to pack up their things.
"Oh and Ms. Martin, you are wanted on the phone." Victor added and she hurried to the receiver.
"Hey," Alfie said to Willow. "I mean it, no pressure."
Willow nodded absentmindedly.
"Amber, are you free to talk?" Nina asked as she walked into her room.
"Sure! I love talking" Amber smiled as she put her hair into braids for bed.
"Well... you remember the scholarship conversation we had?" Nina chuckled. "You would not believe the phone call I just had with my Grams."
"Ooh sounds interesting." Amber grinned.
"Well there's some family history involved" Nina told her.
"Less interesting. Still listening though" Amber said.
"Well, after you told me about how the Anubis House works, I went to Mr. Sweet and asked him about the rooming and how I got here to see if there was a mistake or something and-"
"You're moving?" Amber asked frowning.
"No, that's just it" Nina explained. "There's no need to. Mr. Sweet told me that I didn't get the scholarship, and I would have because of my achievements in school and 'outstanding essay', had I been eligible for it."
"Wait you didn't get the full scholarship? How are you here?" Amber asked.
"I asked the same question, and he answered very simply, that I paid" Nina answered.
"This school is over a quarter million dollars not including the money spent to get into this house" Amber informed her. "I thought you said you didn't have the money to-"
"That is what I said" Nina told her. "But he told me that not only did my family, being my Grams, pay the full tuition, about 27 grand I think, but the extra 5K for this house along with a few extra thousand to help the school with books, and new laptops and any other supplies they needed. All in all I paid thirty five thousand dollars to come here."
"That's more than even I paid" Amber's eyebrows rose.
"Exactly" Nina said. "So when Grams grams called me, I brought it up, and we had a very interesting conversation"
"Details please" Amber smiled as she sat on the bed next to Nina.
"Well after I caught her up on school stuff I immediately asked her about it, and here's where my background history comes in" Nina said. "Something happened last year and I needed to get away from home for a while, which is why I came here. My grandma told me about this place, turns out she learned about it from my grandfather. Turns out she learned about it years ago but couldn't send me because of money"
"So she saved up for a few years and that's how you got all of that money" Amber concluded.
"Even if she saved since the day I was born, she couldn't have sent me here, especially because she is retired" Nina explained. "Now, I knew nothing about my grandfather. They divorced nearly forty years ago, and he remarried thirty two years ago. Her name was something like Lilith or something, and she was very successful. She was once married as well, but had no family. Her first husband was a lawyer or something, and had a good amount of money. He left it all to her because they had no kids, and she took the money and started her own business which gave her millions"
"Your grandpa married a millionaire?" Amber asked. "Go Gramps!"
"Story's not over yet" Nina said. "Just few years after I was born, Lilith had a heart attack, and left all of her money and her business to my grandpa. Apparently it was the right choice, because after about a year of weeping, Grandpa made it a thirty million worth business"
"So you were actually rich?" Amber asked.
"No, just wait a minute" Nina instructed. "He may have had money but that doesn't mean it was ours. He sold the business, took the money and settled down, but he had nothing to use the money for-"
"So he spent it on your school!"
"Amber enough with the interruptions!" Nina scolded her. "So... Important details to this story are that Lilith wanted to start a family with my grandpa, but she was too old and unable to have a baby. She thought about adoption but decided she would have wanted the kid to be her own, which is why she gave my grandpa the business in the first place. After my grandpa's only son..."
"Right" Amber knew what she was talking about. The car accident.
"Well, he didn't have any family to give the money to... except for... me" Nina still couldn't believe it. "He died of cancer last summer, and it was put in the will. I get everything except the business. I get the house he owned in the country, the land around it, and... the money"
"So your grandpa left you with-"
"About 800 million dollars in the bank" Nina finished. "Well my Grams is looking after it. She's going to use it for college and then anything I want to spend it on after that is mine to spend it"
"You're filthy rich" Amber smiled. "Wow, I mean I've always known. I grew up with a wardrobe filled with expensive clothes but I can't believe you just found out by phone call, why are you just learning of this"
"Because my grandma knows me well. I would not have taken his money if I had known. She'd forged a letter telling me I got the scholarship, and planned to keep it a secret until I came back at the end of the year, or until I was going to start asking about college scholarships" Nina said.
"But it's your money" Amber said. "Not his"
"I don't even know him!"
"It doesn't change what was put on the will" Amber shrugged. "I'd be happy, not many people get as lucky as you"
"It's just... crazy" Nina decided.
"Well, I'm sleepy, I need my beauty rest and so do you. Dream of a money bath, it always puts me in a good mood" Amber smiled.
"When you dream of it?" Nina asked.
"No when I actually do it" Amber said then smiled. "I'm joking, even I wouldn't do that."
"Well I'm going to go to bed, and not think about this anymore toni-" Nina was interrupted by a buzz and a chirp. Both Amber and Nina knew immediately it was from Jack. Nina looked up at Amber, who had been most affected by Jack's change of favorite house. All Jack seemed to have to say about her lately was how 'bad' she looked. "Don't."
Amber and Nina both looked at Amber's phone, which was charging on the nightstand and equal distance between the both of them. At once they lunged for it, but Amber got to it first and locked herself in the bathroom to read it. Nina was right behind her and banged on the door. Mara and Patricia came out with Piper peeping out from inside the room.
"Is she reading the-"
"Yeah."
They heard a muffled gasp and the door swung open to a very angry Amber.
"Amber, ignore him. Her. It! This will all be over soon-" Mara started.
"It's not about me!" Amber thrashed her phone toward the three of them. Joy came down the steps with to KT and Willow's room with the other two close behind.
"No. Way." Mara frowned.
"What?" KT crinkled her eyebrows. "Is it about Patricia and Eddie?"
"No." Nina said pushing the phone to the other three. They all crowded around it and read it, Willow's jaw dropped.
"That never happens!" Willow exclaimed.
"Show the boys!" Joy urged as all seven girls raced passed Victor's office and down the steps passed Victor, who was moments away from dropping his pin.
"What are you all doing out of bed!" He yelled. "It is time for bed!"
But the girls ignored them and burst through the doors. Patricia, Nina, and KT ran into Mick, Fabian, and Eddie's room while they were practically in bed. Amber, Willow, Mara and Joy ran through Jerome and Alfie's door to see Jerome shirtless and Alfie in just boxers. Mara had seen the same sight a while ago, except it was reversed.
"Jesus where's the fire?" Eddie asked.
"Look at the Jackal post!" Patricia said.
"Everyone look at Jack's latest upload!" Amber yelled.
The boys were confused but they did as they were told anyway.
Okay, one of the best parties of the year thrown by, who else? The Hathor House. With Vera gone, their Odd Man a joke, and good refreshments, the party is amazing, almost as good as Anubis's Forrest party thrown the day Nina arrived. And speaking of Anubis House, where are they? Seems like they weren't invited. #Awkward -Jackal
The guys looked dumbstruck.
"That's…" Jerome started. "That's never happened before."
"That's what I said!" Willow exclaimed.
"We- We're always invited." Fabian said. "Maybe we don't always go but we're always…"
"Well…" Mick scratched his head. "Well we have the test tomorrow morning, it'd be stupid to party before it anyway"
"Yeah. maybe it's good thing that-" KT started
"Would you listen to yourselves!?" Amber exclaimed. "This is WRONG! It's all backwards!"
"ENOUGH!" Victor made them all jump. "Bed, now."
All of the girls exited the boys rooms, but not before exchanging looks with them. They were checking this out.
So half an hour later, they snuck out of the house and ran across campus to the Hathor House. They could hear the music before they could see the house. They peered in the room.
Everyone in their class, and even some of the lower classmen, were there. Even Robbie.
"Wow, this is sad." Came the voice from behind them. Amber half expected Amelia, but it was May. "Don't you have some books to read or something?"
"Don't you have a black eye to ice?" Patricia asked.
"Uh… no."
"Do you want one?" Patricia spat.
"Stop," Joy started. "She's kind of right."
It was pretty pathetic, actually. Here they were standing outside of Hathor House looking at a party they weren't invited to. In their pajamas. Amber growled and they all made their way back home.
The residents of Anubis House were down. They'd always complain about Jack, and always took for granted their hierarchy, but the truth was, it felt so wrong without all of it. They kind of felt how a toddler felt when someone took their toy. And they missed it. However, no one was willing to admit that, no one except Amber. She'd made it very clear that she hated the whole thing.
But the good news was, they've taken their tests, and they've gotten their papers back. The lowest grade any of them got on it was an 88%. So it was all over, and even though they'd reached a pretty bad low yesterday, which Jack was all over and the entire school knew by now, they could finally relax. It was probably the first time they weren't all walking home from school that Monday with their noses out of the book in weeks. And yet, they still didn't see it coming.
The first one hit KT, who screamed as loud as Amber usually did from the surprise. After that, it was one after another, shells exploding on them with gross cold egg running down their faces and clothes. And, perhaps more embarrassingly, they were frozen from shock. They didn't see the culprits until after the last one hit Willow, but they all knew from the start who it was. Amelia, Lauren, Joey, Mo, May, April, Richard and two other boys from Hathor, Lucas and Jackson, cackled at them all dripping in egg and ran back to their house.
They were all so steamed, that the eggs were probably cooking on them. "That is IT!" Joy yelled. "We're fighting back."
"Hell yeah we are!" Mick yelled as they made their way inside.
"This is war." Alfie growled, the vengefulness in it surprising and chilling Willow.
"What-" Fabian started.
"Fabian I don't want to hear one word about 'two wrongs don't make a right' or 'an eye for an eye leaves everyone looking like a pirate' or whatever your philosophies are, okay?" Joy snapped.
"Joy, I have egg on me." Fabian said slowly. "What do you have in mind?"
