喧嘩

A Fight

Part One

Nobunaga x Kasane

"Uwa! Tenrou what happened? You're so dirty!"

With the sun setting, Kasane had decided to head toward the bathhouse to soak in the bath when she came across a muddy Tenrou, who was ruffling his feathers.

"You're this filthy… Did Tono-sama chase you out?"

We were talking about that neat freak lord after all. If Tenrou is this dirty, he wouldn't be able to enter Tono-sama's room as usual. It's certain that he chased the poor bird out.

"I'm going to take a bath so… why don't you come with me Tenrou?"

She picked him up and carried him with her.

Surprised, Tenrou struggled to fly away, but Kasane nonchalantly took him with her.

"Hey! Don't run away, Tenrou!"

Inside the humid bathtub, she scrubbed the bird with a washcloth.

However, Tenrou, who was scared of the water, refused to corporate so she forcefully poured water over him to get all the dirt off of him.

"Now that you're all clean, it feels good, doesn't it? Tenrou."

She inquired, to which he responded with a shudder, which shook off all the excess water, and a reproachful glare. Well she supposed this was natural to have this sort of reaction as animals- - -..., well with birds like Tenrou don't take baths like human beings. In fact he might be actually bitter at her for forcefully making him drenched all over; the fact she didn't feel gratitude was quite evident.

Feeling quite satisfied with her work, Kasane ignored Tenrou's current feelings towards her and energetically soaked into the bathtub.

"Feels so good~..."

An event that occurs once a day, recently this moment is when she is most happy.

Soaking into the water until it reached up to her shoulders, she glanced over to Tenrou, who was still fluffing himself out to dry his feathers.

"Come on Tenrou, why don't you come over here-"

Just as she reached over her hand toward the bird, the door of the bathhouse went BAM! wide open.

Surprised she looked up to see what opened the door, only to find a grumpy Nobunaga standing in front of her.

"...To...no...Ah… Aue… Ah….Eh!?

Overwhelmed, Kasane was at a loss of words.

She was taking a bath with Tenrou. Of course she wasn't wearing any clothes.

Nobunaga walked nonchalantly into the bath house naturally without a single change of expression.

"Don't take out Tenrou without my permission."

He glared down at her and, like a storm, left while carrying Tenrou out of the bath house.

"... …..GYAAAAAA- - - - - ! ! ?"

"What was the meaning of that?!"

Just a while after her screams, she hurriedly got out of the bath and changed before she firmly protested to him in his room.

Usually Kasane's dissatisfaction would eventually face. However Nobunaga's actions this time was unforgivable.

"P-please don't enter the bath house so naturally when other people using it! !"

Kasane, after all, was a young girl.*

Even though she's at an age where she felt embarrassment when seen naked by someone of the opposite sex, not to mention by an excellent man known as Nobunaga, he just barged into the bath house without a sweat and stared down her form so intently. It'll be strange if she wasn't calm about this.

In response to her jeers, Nobunaga took a small, brief glance up and down her body.

"Even though you don't have a body to be embarrassed about…"

"! !"

His impolite statement left her speechless once more.

Even though he understood well that she had a child-like body and even saw her bare body, he still uses this rude tone

She couldn't believe it.

Unable to control her rage, Kasane picked up the nearest object within her reach, a book, and threw it at him.

Nobunaga easily caught it and demanded her why she did it with a sharp glare.

"You're the worst… ! !"

After that one phrase, she stormed out of his room.

"I can't believe him, I can't believe him, I can't believe him, I can't believe him… ! !" she cursed and grumbled as she stomped across the corridor.

"Ah, Kasane-dono, you're already done taking your ba-..."

Just a little further beyond the hallway was the usual three fools. Gorouza went to call out to her but stopped after seeing her unusually serious expression. Kuranosuke's eyes widened with shock while Inuchiyo hid behind Gorouza's back in fear.

Bewildered by her current state, they worriedly gazed at her from afar.

Kasane entered her room and gather all of her essential belongs and stepped out out.

"Ka-Kasane-dono… W-what are you planning to do with your belongings?"

"...-t."

"...Y-yes…?"

Kasane muttered something, to which Gorouza timidly responded.

"I'm leaving! !"

"Ha….? …...Eeehhh!?"

Gorouza and the others raised their voices at her declaration.

"Wa- Please wait! Why so sudden…!"

Flustered, Gorouza tried to hold her back, but Kasane completely ignored him and continued walking.

"M-my lord…"

"!"

At the same time, Nobunaga emerged from the front.

She wordlessly glared at him, he also didn't say anything.

"My lord! Katane said she's leaving!"

"My lord should also stop Kasane-dono!"

"Leaving…? From this castle?"

As Gorouza's group continued to plead their case, Nobunaga narrowed his eyes**

"..."

Kasane returned his gaze without answering anything.

"...If you wish to leave, then go ahead. I have no use for useless in my castle."

"My lord! !"

The three idiots objected at his ruthless words.

"...You didn't need to tell me!"

Kasane glared after him and hurried off.

Worried, Gorouza and the others tried to follow after her lead.

"Three Idiots! Don't follow her!"

"B-but for someone who's leaving the castle this late all by herself is…!"

"...To talk back against my order, that means you're fully prepared for your heads to fly off your necks."

"...Wh-"

"...My lord!"

Shutting out the protesting voices of the three idiots, he gave them a sharp glare.

Those red eyes filled with bloodlust conveyed that he wasn't joking.

"..."

They kept silent.

Nobunaga scowled at their reproachful and criticizing looks.

"... It's already evening. Go to your rooms and sleep."

Pretending to be ignorant of their stares, he smartly returned to his own room.

"...What."

Just as he returned he found Ikeda standing right in front of it. Nobunaga looked bewilderedly at him.

"..."

Ikeda, without saying a word, looked at him.

That look was the same as the three idiots earlier; Nobunaga frowned deeply.

"...You seem to want to say something."

"...This time… Kusanagi-dono is pitiful."

"..."

Hearing Ikeda's words, Nobunaga arched his eyebrows.

"...Kusanagi-dono is a young woman. It's certain that she could not suppress her anger after that curt manner of speaking. My lord has no sense of discretion."

"...So you were eavesdropping."

"After all that noise, I can still hear it even if I didn't want to."

Nobunaga boredly huffed. Ikeda's expression didn't change as he looked at him.

"... I believe that women don't like showing their bare skin to anyone except to the man they love."

"So you're saying I'm the one at fault."

"..."

Ikeda did not speak, but that silence affirmed his question.

"...What are you intending to do with Kusanagi-dono?"

"Nothing, that person left my castle. I have no use for her. Those who wish to leave should just get out."

Having enough listening to the protests of others, Nobunaga stepped into his room and slammed the sliding door shut.

Ikeda made a rare, twisted expression and, as he had no other choice, left the place.

"..."

As he entered his room, he found Tenrou waiting there.

"Tenrou, come."

Raising up his arm, he called him.

But Tenrou didn't respond.

"..."

"...So you also think I'm wrong."

Tenrou rarely gets close to anyone other than him nor does he he listen to anyone else.

If someone else gets close to him, he would immediately fly off.

Nobuyuki is a good example.

Even though they've known each other for a long time, Tenrou still doesn't get close to him.

However, for some odd reason, Tenrou has taken a liking to that girl.

It be something that's different than attachment, but at the minimum he doesn't immediately fly away from her. Before Tenrou apparently went to her room and even sat on top of her head when she was still asleep.

Based on just that, it was still hard to prove that he was attached to her, but it's certain that he doesn't have any antipathy towards the girl like he does to Nobuyuki and Sado.

"...If you got any complaints, then I don't care. You should also get out."

Nobunaga slid open the screen and slumped into the seat.***

Without a single noise Tenrou glanced at Nobunaga and flew right out of the door.

"...Every one of them."

He wasn't the one at fault here.

Nobunaga snorted and unpleasantly grimaced.

*This here meant she was a girl who has not married or is of marriageable age.

** His eyes are half-narrowed. It's sort of a characteristic trait he has when he's in deep thought… I believe. But you see this look a lot from him!

***He takes the "seat of honor" or the "top seat". If you look in the manga like… ch 9 pg 27. That kind of section is where the "top seat" is.
