喧嘩

A Fight

Part Six

Nobunaga x Kasane

"Brothels are sure filled up with beauties."

The sun has now set and the party in the banquet hall fills up.

A huge number of men from warrior families drank sake, livening up the atmosphere.

Hanako was playing the koto and number of other women were dancing to the music while Kasane and the remaining few prostitutes poured sake for the men.

"As usual, Hanako is a good woman. For her to never take in a customer, this brothel's proprietress sure spoils her."

The man whom Kasane was pouring sake to turned to gaze at Hanako.

Hanako politely smiled, declining his advances.

"You overpraise…"

PLUCK

The koto resounds.

"I haven't seen you around here before? A newcomer?"

The man turned to Kasane.

"U~m… Something like that."

It should have been better if she told them that she wasn't a prostitute, but Kasane decided shae she didn't need to explain that much to him.

If they knew that girl like her was a bodyguard, they'll definitely try to pry into her history.

"So innocent and adorable."

Kasane stiffened at the man's words. She had never heard such frank compliments before.

"...T-thank you."

She felt some joy and embarrassment that she looked down and whispered and replied back.

As expected, when someone calls her cute, she couldn't help but feel happy.

"That's another really cute reaction. Why not accompany this one tonight? I shall cherish you."

"Whaaat!?"

"Well, my dear samurai, haven't I requested to leave Kasane-sama alone?"

Hanako quickly intervened the man's request to help Kasane.

With that light treatment, Hanako was able to somehow control the situation. Most likely, Hanako has used this tactic among numerous men.

"Such a waste."

"Don't say it like that, mend your humor from the sound of my koto."

As she raised her voice, she plucked and gracefully played the koto.

The prostitutes once again began their dance.

"As expected of Hanako, an extraordinary sound as usual!

The men praised her.

Hanako calmly smiled to not invoke any ill will.

"...I drank a bit too much…"

"A-are you okay?"

One of the men, as if feeling nauseated, placed his hand over his mouth.

Concerned, Kasane rubbed his back.

"If you don't feel well, would you like to go outside?"

"..."

The man silently nodded at her suggestion.

Attending to him, she followed him out of the room. Hanako and the others didn't notice them leaving.

"The wind feels quite refreshing out here, did you have fun?"

After attending to the man, they walked along the corridor while gazing out to the darkened courtyard.

In other rooms she could hear the huge commotion and sounds of huge a party.

"Beautiful."

"Yes?"

"You are."

"U...m."

She froze and reddened at his blunt compliment.

"I-if you feel better, then it's best if we go back insu-..."

Just as she tried to go back to the banquet room, the man pulled her back.

She frowned at his strength.

"Ouch…! ...Wh-what are you doing?"

"Rejoice, I have chosen you for tonight."

"Ha…?"

The man declared as he pulled her hand and dragged her into an empty room.

Kasane tried to resist, but then she was suddenly thrown into the room.

"Wh-what are-... Kya!"

The man leaned over her and caught her flailing arm.

She immediately felt fear.

"N-no! Stop…!"

She cried out, but the man didn't loosen his grip.

"After coming all this way, that's out of the question."

Kasane felt a shudder down her back.

For she felt that this man had no intentions of backing down no matter what she says or do.

"S-someone...Nn!"

He covered her mouth so no one could hear.

I'm scared.

No.

Save me.

Masamune.

Kotetsu.

Grandpa.

… Tono-sama!

"Guh…!"

Suddenly after hearing a dull sound, the weight of the man collapsed over her.

When she opened her eyes in shock, she found the man unconscious.

Just when she wondered what on earth was going on, a man, whom she never expected to come, revealed himself.

"...Tono...sama...?"

Standing before her was the young man carrying a sheathed sword.

It seems that Nobunaga knocked out the man with that weapon.

However what occupied her thoughts weren't of the man on top of her, but rather questions like why was Nobunaga here and such.

He violently kicked the unconscious man off of her.

Freeing her from the weight, he then pulled her up to her feet and, while tugging her arm, proceeded to drag her out of the shop.

"To..no-sama! ...Why...are you here…?"

"..."

When asked him, he gave her no reply and ignored her all his might.

She snapped her mouth shut.

Nobunaga was furious.

Far beyond the point she has ever seen him before.

"What on earth is this uproar!?"

It seems people noticed the commotion as Hanako and other workers arrived to the scene.

They stood in Nobunaga's way, blocking his path.

"Who in world are you!? Let go of Kasane-sama!"

Hanako boldly yelled at him.

However her actions didn't faze him as he sent her a cold gaze.

"Step aside."

"No! Not until you let go of Kasane-sama."

"...Don't make me repeat myself, girl."

Feeling his bloodlust, Hanako and the others took a step back.

The grip on her hand grew tighter.

"Hanako-san! I'll be fine so…!"

Sensing that Hanako might get harmed, she frantically appealed to her.

However, Hanako's worried expression didn't loosen.

"I'll be fine!"

Creating a smile, she reassured Hanako.

After seeing Kasane's desperate expression, she finally stepped aside.

As they laid out an open path, Nobunaga hurriedly marched on.

Kasane muttered words of apology to Hanako and left the shop with Nobunaga.
