Getting up the next morning was rough, her back aching and arm bruised from where she defended herself from one of the Angels spear. She slowly turned over and wrapped her arm around Bonnibels waist, kissing her cheek gently. A smile graced the younger girls face as her eyes fluttered open.

"Morning gorgeous." Marceline mumbled with a grin. Bonnie rolled over and buried her face into her girlfriends chest, humming with delight as two hands skated down to her hips, fingers dancing across exposed skin.

"I think i like you better with brown eyes." She breathed once she looked up at Marceline, eyes blinking a few times before she began to get up out of bed.

"I think i like you better when-"

"Don't even finish that sentence." Bonnie snapped, the smile on her face betraying her stern voice.

"Or what?"

"Or you just might be late to school for some..unkown reason."

"And what about your perfect attendance babes?" That seemed to snap Bonnibel back into reality, her eyes widening as she began to search through Marcelines wardrobe for something decent to wear.

"There's a red shirt with your name on it in the bottom drawer, it's too small for me." Marceline breathed, getting up with a groan. "Also, if you're looking for your jeans then I think you..." A yawn, and then she waved her hand towards her computer table. "Threw them near my desk." Bonnibel smiled and pressed a kiss onto the other girls forehead, the shirt hanging off her body just right.

"You should probably get ready too." The pinkette called as she walked towards the bathroom.

School seemed different, though she bought some cheap coloured contacts to hide her now blue eyes, everybody was still staring with either disgust or shock. It was as if Marceline had become an entirely new level of 'freakdom' as Ellen would call it. Apparently, Bonnibel saw the other girls distress, and took Marceline's hand in her own, giving it a slight squeeze before leaning up to kiss her on the jaw.

They walked into the classroom and sat down next to each over, as they did every other day. Charlie and Emmett seemed to be chatting as they came in, the brunette immediately noticing the smirk on Marceline's face and shoving the boy into a desk as she sat down.

Then of course, Ellen stampeded towards her with Mark at her side. The purple haired girl slammed her hands onto Marceline's desk, Marceline jumping backwards a little as she did so.

"You are an absolute bitch Abadeer." Marceline opened her mouth to say something, anything, but found that Ellen beat her to it. "Not read the paper today?" It was teasing, and Marceline was still pressed fully against the back of her chair, lips slightly parted.

"What are you talking about?" Marceline's eyes widened at the sound of her brother's voice, his footsteps inaudible as he walked towards the scene.

"The cops are one step closer to finding out that the real Demonic Saviour is Marceline."

"Wh-What?" Marceline finally managed to stammer out, head darting backwards as Ellen looked back at her.

"Black hair, pale complexion, skinny and brown eyes. They got footage of her in an alley way, pair of cops say they saw someone who matched her on your street." Ellen's grin was maniacal, huge and toothy like a sharks. It honestly scared Marceline.

"If you havent noticed," Marceline said with a smile, regaining her confidence and composure. "I don't have wings."

"Well obviously, you probably have some wierd spell to hide them."

"And how would you know?" Marshall asked slyly, moving over so he was stood next to Marceline. Anger flashed through Ellen's eyes, her hands moving forwards to grab the front of Marceline's shirt, Bonnibel stood up along with Charlie.

"Aw, look at this Mark...Freaks got friends." As soon as Ellen's fist made impact with Marceline's cheek Marshall threw his own punch at an unsuspecting Mark, hitting him in the jaw. Charlie, along with Emmett who had now stood up, grabbed Bonnibel's arms to stop her from practically tearing Ellen apart. Marceline was completely unfazed by this sudden change in atmosphere, staying completely still until Ellen tried to punch her again.

Her hand shot up and stopped her, grabbing her fist and shoving the girl backwards . Marshall now had Mark in a headlock, Charlie and Emmett had successfully pushed Bonnibel back down into her chair, being sure to not hurt her incase Marceline hurt them in ways that they didn't even know how. Marceline thought of this as a win.

"By the way, I'll be in this class for the rest of the year. If you dare try anything again then.." Marshall shrugged and pushed Mark onto the floor, spitting down at him before looking back at Ellen. "Well i guess you can figure it out." Ellen growled and walked away, Mark stumbling after her without a second thought.

"Are you okay?" Bonnibel whispered, looking over at Marceline, worry crossing her features. Marceline sighed and nodded.

"Yeah..I'm fine."

There was a time. A time when your mother, Lucifer or 'lillith' as she preferred, reigned the entirety of hell. But as her age increased she found it difficult to keep the chaos in..well you wouldn't believe it but in order. That's when Lucan stepped up. She was blinded by jealousy was your mother, making her even more evil and even more powerful. She made to kill the new ruler, who was actually her step brother, but he banished her as she had had you and Marshall. With a mortal no less. How Lucan stripped her of her powers no one knows but while she ran off into the unknown Lucan had already set up a new rule. No falling in love with mortals. You and Bonnibel should be careful.

Marceline's head shot up, eyes darting around the classroom hurriedly. That...That couldn't be true, her mother wasnt some Demon queen of hell. She was an abusive bitch that found fun in degrading Marceline and all she was. But if it was true...then she's the rightful heir to hell.

Why are you telling me this? I don't give a fuck about my mother. All i know now is that she left me and there's another person on my killing list.

The thing is, Lucan never actually stripped her of her powers. She fought, incredibly in fact, with magic and pure strength. Lucan was astounded and with the power already in his hands he paralysed her soul. She couldn't kill the king. I was there when it happened, she wasn't even banished. She just vanished into thin air, a feat that not even The Master could manage.

Okay, so she just vanished? disappeared without a trace?

Yes. But the point is that Lillith is coming back. More powerful than ever now that she's had a couple of years to think about it.

Think about what exactly?

About how she could kill her brother and retake the throne. You need to stop her.

Why?

So full of fucking questions. Because if she takes the throne with this new found power then she might just be a bigger threat to you than Lucan. And it would be a lot more effort on your part too, i say you go alone and take out Lucan yourself. Then, when your mother does come back she can't become queen and she'd have to go back to where she came from, giving you an open spot to take the throne for yourself and become even more powerful.

But Marshall said there's going to be a war. How am i supposed to kill the king and fight at the same time?

Listen kiddo, I come up with the plan. You work that one out yourself.

The bell went and Marceline realized that she'd need to go back to the Gate, the shack in the middle of the forest. The only problem was that she had no idea where to go in Hell to get to the king's throne.

She groaned and let her head fall onto the table, the impact only adding to the searing headache in the centre of her brain.

"Marceline, I know our next target."

"Fuck off,"

"No...just listen to me. You kill him and then we're one step closer to our main target. You have no choice unless you want to watch the master take over." Marceline never had a choice, it was do this and do that. She was fed up of taking orders from other people, fed up of people thinking they can tell her what to do.

"I'll help you as long as you help me."

Marshalls POV

Why did I agree to this? Sneaking into hell when everyone is after Marceline is the most stupidest thing I've ever done, and i don't even know what we're here for. All she had asked is for me to show her towards the castle. The castle for Christ sake! The most heavily guarded place in the underworld and we are going in.

"Stop worrying, we'll be in and out in no time." She muttered as she very slowly pulled on the padded gloves she wore in the mortal world, tugging up her hood before placing her hands on a small ledge on the wall.

"What are you doing?" I hissed, watching as she pulled herself up the wall. "You are going to get us killed."

"Oh hush Marshall, just hurry up and start climbing." Honestly, i had no idea how good she was at climbing until i looked up from the halfway point to see her scaling up the wall like she had done it forever. It took me at least 15 minutes to get to the top, almost triple the amount it did her.

"Okay, now all we need to do is find an entrance..." I sighed and nodded, walking towards the edge to check if one of the windows was open. There was a loud smash from behind me and then a small 'oop shit' from Marceline, i turned and smirked when i saw her dangling from the edge, looking down at where her feet had made impact with the glass. She hissed slightly, retracting her now injured foot.

"You okay there?" I mumbled, crouching down in front of her. She looked up and scowled at me before bouncing off the glass, closing her eyes as she smashed in through the window.

"Okay, stay up there. I'll be back in a few."

Marceline's POV

There was glass everywhere and i was sure that there was some lodged in my palm somewhere, still i stood up and shook off the remaining shards off glass. My hands found their way to my hood and mask, pulling them up before i continued to walk forwards.

Something about this place seemed eerie, like that feeling you get when you just know someone's staring at you but you can't quite place where they are. I sucked in my breath and opened the first door i came to, expecting there to be some sort of trap to be waiting on the other side. There was none.

I peered into the dimly lit room and noticed something glinting in the light that now flooded in through the door. I swallowed hard and cautiously stepped forwards into the room, the floor board creaking underneath the pressure of my foot. I winced slightly as another loud groan burst through the silence when i placed my other foot down on the un carpeted floor. As i made my way closer to the object i noticed there was a small note next to the shiny metal, words hastily scribbled down in a rush. He's Going to kill you, use all means of protection against his forces. Dont Hesitate. I frowned and picked up the item next to it, my eyes scanning over the framed picture in front of me. I was just about to wipe the dust away from the glass when i heard voices coming from the hall.

"Are you sure he should be asleep at a time like this?" A woman whispered hurriedly.

"We'll keep guard, don't worry." Another voice replied, distinctively a male. I smirked and put the picture down, quickly walking out the door and heading down the hallway, turning a corner and grinning as the two guards whipped around from their mid walk into a large room.

"You shouldn't be in here." The man growled, just in time before i slipped my knife from my pocket and sliced his throat with it, turning to stab the other one in the stomach. Their bodies slumped to the floor.

"Don't tell me where i should and should not be." I grumbled. "Or else you die." The room was a mix of red and gold and brown, reminding me of a movie i had watched when i was little about a boy becoming a wizard and risking his life. The same old heroic shit really. I quickly wiped the blood off of the blade and held it up in front of me, tiptoeing towards the bed where my target lay, asleep and defenseless. The moment i pulled the cover down and pressed the point of the knife against his flesh i was interrupted by a somehow familiar voice.

"Dont do it," I turned to meet a tall, slender woman draped in a black cloak, the hood covering her face with the shadows. I wasted no time in rushing forwards and pushing the girl against a wall, yanking the hood down. What i saw was not what i expected. At first i thought it was me, black hair and brown eyes, same pale porcelain skin. But she was older, wrinkles at the corner of her oh so kind eyes, and definitely not someone i wanted to meet at this exact moment.

"Mum?" Her eyes seemed to flicker with something, recognition or realization? Or both? I stepped back and allowed myself to stare, mouth slacked open and brows furrowed.

"Ahriman?"

"I..sorta go by Marceline now." I mumbled, twirling the knife around in my hands. She reached out and gently pulled my mask and hood down, brown eyes searching my blue ones.

"Of course, is your brother with you?" I considered lying to her but knew that it wouldn't get me anywhere, so instead I found my self muttering,

"He's up on the roof, waiting for me."

"Why are you here?" There was silence as i tried to figure out what was going on in my head, but even I didn't know that.

"I need to kill Lucan, I'll be more powerful and then i can defeat him."

"Him, who's him?"

"The Master," She gasped slightly before letting out a small laugh. I frowned and arched a brow. "What's so funny?"

"You sound just like him, The Master i mean." I stood there and tried to comprehend what she was saying to me. My mother knows The Master? "You should get out of here, Lucan will wake any minute now and even im too weak to go up against him." I nodded slowly, slipping the weapon back into my pocket.

And then she was gone.

Charlies POV

There was nothing for me here. Nothing but boring teachers and lectures, tired students and a secret so dangerous that if somebody found about it, all of hell would break loose. Literally. I ran a hand through my hair and scribbled down a few notes from the textbook.

The door opened and in walked not one, but two of my brothers. Nyx began to explain to the teacher that i had to go to a stupid dentist appointment while Tartarus swiftly moved towards my desk, leaning forwards to tilt my head up.

"What did you do?"

"Get the hell off me,"

"I repeat, what did you do?"

"Why?" Tartarus scowled slightly and grabbed my wrist, swiftly dragging me out of the lesson and out into the hallway.

"Because, The Master is ready to attack Neptr and if anyone can anger somebody that much, it's definitely you." I smirked slightly as Tartarus ran a hand through his hair, cobalt eyes burning into my green ones.

"Do you really think im capable of something that great?"

"Great?" he hissed, hands finding their way to my jacket and pulling me forwards. "This entire city will be wiped off of the map and you think that this is great?"

"I didn't do anything, The Master still refuses to let me join him so..."

"So what?" I looked down at my feet and sighed.

"I may or may not have joined a rebellion against the ignorant bastard." Tartarus' lips twitched upwards slightly, brows furrowing as he thought.

"Well," He breathed with uncertainty. "I guess that's the safest place for you." I snorted and crossed my arms. "Just try not to kill anyone okay? We're still your family and we still support the angels so just..hang in there."

(No POV)

"Are you kidding me? Marceline has been skipping entire days at school and no one else finds this suspicious?" Marshall rolled his eyes at Ellen and sat down in his seat. "Come on people, she's obviously that hero freak so lets just hand her over."

"Over my dead body." Bonnibel said sternly, crossing her arms over her chest as she walked into the classroom.

"And mine, seeing as she is my sister and all." Ellen shot both of them a look.

"You two are just covering for her."

"Actually..Marshall dissapeared this morning too, probably a family thing they had to sort out." Everyone turned to the door and saw Charlie walk in, feet clad in her combat boots, jacket tied around her waist and a glare pointed towards Ellen.

"Yeah, some sort of animal sacrifice or blood ritual." Marshall laughed aloud and clutched his stomach. Ellen just growled and balled her hands into fists. "Shut up, Marceline is a freak and we all know it."

As soon as she said it, Marceline walked through the door, to her desk, and slumped down in her chair.

"You left me outside." Marshall mumbled with a frown.

"Yeah, i ran into someone i wasnt expecting to." Bonnie sighed and un-folded her arms, trudging over to her seat. "What's up creampuff?"

"Mum and dad are leaving me with my cousin, Robert, for an entire three weeks. I mean, he's a sweet guy and all but he's incredibly nosey."

"Robert Greymoore right?" Marshall said quietly, watching Emmett try to talk to Charlie for the umpteenth time that day.

"...Yes."

"I know the guy. He's pretty cool for a geek, knows a lot about baseball." Marceline smirked and arched a brow.

"Got a crush there have we?"

"If i said yes would this conversation be over."

"Maybe."

"Okay, yes i have a crush on your girlfriends cousin." Bonnie smiled slightly and giggled when Marceline threw a pen at her brother, only to have it be thrown back and hit her forehead.

A/N: Don't talk to me. *hisses*.
