A/N: Sorry for the late chapter. If you read my last chapter then you know I haven't been in a good place. BUT I'm getting there.

This is a really short chapter, sorry guys.

I stirred slightly, only vaguely aware that it was far too cold for me to be in my room still. My legs and arms felt numb, my head felt as though it was splitting and there was a familiar coppery taste of blood in my mouth.

Where the hell was I? What had happened in the blurry, foggy space between Jo's surprise arrival and me ending up… wherever I was?

"Josephine, you're doing well." My heart jolted, sinking down into my stomach where it thundered loudly in my gut. That voice was far too familiar… it's hoarseness was unforgettable. "All we need to do is make sure the girl can't blabber to her friends. I've done what I can but even with the drugs… she was still stubborn as ever." The Master muttered, probably sat down on his 'throne' with his legs crossed and his hands resting atop his staff. Inwardly, I shuddered at the memories I had with him.

"What would you suggest I do, sir?" The sweet, sweet voice of Jo reached my ears, breathy yet still light like a cloud.

"Rip her tongue out." So that's why I can taste blood. I thought bitterly, swallowing the metallic spit in my mouth to remind me of a wound that I couldn't see.

I practically wrenched my eyes open at the sound of footsteps tiptoeing over to me, peering up at Jo whose eyes innocently glanced over my now trembling form.

"N-Nyo," I mumbled, my tongue failing to move and help me form the correct words. I inhaled sharply as I looked over the girls shoulder to find Billy watching me with a smirk. "Don- Don- Phyes- I…" Jo reached into her pocket and pulled out my own knife, smiling as the blade glinted in the red, dimmed, lighting.

The pain in my mouth was unbearable as I choked on more blood, writhing about in a desperate attempt to roll away from the girl.

"Stay still…" She whispered, kneeling down in front of me with an almost apologetic smile. "I'm not going to lie… this will

hurt, but I don't want it to hurt more than it should." I was about to ask why, why was she being… nice to me? But then I remembered that little snippet from our conversation in my room and felt my face flush a light pink. She likes me.

"Josephine… I'm going to attend to my meeting… Make sure your task is complete and then send her back to earth." Jo nodded and watched as Billy left the Throne Room before turning back to me.

"Cownt to thwee?" I pleaded.

"Of course…" She very slowly slipped the blade between my dry lips, taking a breath as she whispered, "one… two… three…" I clenched my eyes as the pain began unbearable. I choked and spat out the blood now pooling in my mouth, half vomit and half sticky red substance splattering onto the floor beneath me.

But then it was warmth, so so much warmth and tenderness as Jo leaned down to kiss me. I tried pathetically to push the demon away, but my limbs still ached and refused to act.

"I'm sorry about all this," She whispered gently against my skin, pulling away slowly. "Look, I'm not supposed to do this but... I can put a spell on you."

"What swort of shpell?"

"True loves kiss. You kiss Emmett and your tongue will grow back." Her hands glowed for a split second before it transferred to my body. "The downside is that you won't be able to talk. At all."

And then my world was thrust into darkness again.

Oh! Also, there's only a few more chapters to go! Like... six-ish? I dunno, this was supposed to be like fifteen chapters at first.
