A/N: yay! I'm so happy you guys enjoyed that last chapter! I had a blast writing it, and then I had another blast writing this one lol So if you wanna know what songs are being used in this chapter, here ya go!
The girls are dancing and singing to Christina Millian's 'Dip it Low'. I was obsessed with this song as a kid and I couldn't stop myself from using it as inspiration lol.
And as for Inuyasha, this IS the closest I could get to an example of his singing AND the song I wanted him to sing. If you go to youtube search for Nolan Neal – Tiny Dancer – Studio Version. THAT is the performance he's putting on. Just close your eyes and imagine Inuyasha with this voice and emotion and talent. I always imagined him having a raspy kind of voice when he sings. AND this song is so relevant to him and Kagome. CHECK OUT THE LYRICS.

Chapter thirty-five: I Can't Stop Loving You
"We look so good." Ayame's voice echoed in the girl's bathroom loudly, but was met with no response. She, Kagome, and Sango were all standing at their own sink, leaning as close to the mirror as physically possible, applying their makeup. The other two, who were less familiar with the various cremes, powders, and brushes, needed the utmost concentration to execute the look pictured in their minds. Though they were going for a dramatic appearance, it wasn't over-the-top, at least not in their opinions. Beyond the usual foundation and concealer, the three friends opted for matte red lips and a dramatic winged-tips for their eyeliner. It was simple, but eye-catching enough to be noticeable on stage. Ayame had gone the extra mile and bought them false lashes as well, and convinced her two friends that it would only enhance and not distract. In fact, it did have an attractive effect on their faces, albeit making them appear a few years older. As Kagome blinked her watery eyes, adjusting to the unfamiliar weight on her eyelids, she watched Sango and Ayame fuss over the former girl's attire.
There had been much debate on what they were going to wear on stage. Ayame wanted something fit for a hip-hop music video, but that had been quickly shot down by Kagome and Sango. They wanted to be sophisticated, not raunchy. Eventually, the argument was settled on a pair of black high-waisted shorts that drew attention to their long, sinew legs. Red pumps adorned their feet, accentuating muscles and forcing the teenage girls into that sensual posture only achievable by a woman wearing such shoes. As for their tops, they'd chosen to wear white leotards that clung to their lithe bodies while also preventing any possible indecent slip from occurring. Over that, they wore oversized white dress shirts which were left unbuttoned and tied at the waist. The billowing sleeve had been rolled up to their elbows. Being that this was a school sponsored event, they couldn't push the boundaries of sensibility and decorum too much without repercussions. Their hair had been straightened and pulled back into tight ponytails, maintaining a general uniform look between the three. Certainly, it was a different way of dressing than Kagome or Sango were accustomed to; but Sango was having a particularly tough time with the shorts.
"Hike them up higher!" Ayame barked as she tugged on Sango's waistband, forcing the shorts to ride up even higher on her thighs.
"They are high enough! I don't want my ass hanging out for everyone to see!" Sango hissed back, pulling at the ends of her shorts to shimmy them down again. Kagome sighed and moved to stand between both of her friends and forced them to head towards the bathroom door.
"You look amazing in this outfit Sango-chan. I promise your ass won't hang out for everyone to see. And Ayame-chan, we can't get away with anything sexier than this so let it go. We all look amazing." Effectively ending any quarrels between her friends, the three girls walked arm-in-arm down the hallway towards the backstage area. It was the Christmas Talent Show and over a month of preparation had gone into this. Many acts had performed already, starting with the freshman students. As he one of the few Seniors performing, Inuyasha was the last act of the night. Kagome knew he was a bundle of nerves, as this was his first real public performance, and she wanted to wish him good luck before she went on.
As they came to the backstage area, where teachers and other participants were running around with hushed voices, Kagome and her friends couldn't help but notice the glances being sent their way. They weren't exactly negative or judgmental, just slightly surprised. Sango was a trembling, nervous wreck and she looked like she would throw up at any moment. Ayame and Kagome found a chair for her to sit until it was their time, and while they were fanning air into her face, the later girl noticed Inuyasha on the other side of the stage. He was fumbling with his acoustic guitar, going through the chord changes for the song he was going to perform.
"Keep her calm. I'll be right back." Kagome whispered to Ayame and rushed along the back wall of the dark are behind the mainstage, avoiding bumping into everyone else. She was accustomed to the chaos though, all thanks to the years of ballet performances and competitions. "Inuyasha!" She whispered excitedly and came to stand in front of him, smiling brightly. "I'm so glad I caught you before we go on! I probably won't get a chance to say it after we finish, so good luck!" Holding two thumbs up, Inuyasha seemed a bit flustered as he tried to find some words to say in return.
Before now, Inuyasha thought Kagome couldn't look more grown up than she had at her birthday party. But seeing her now, with such dramatic makeup and mature clothing, he felt as if he was standing in front of an adult. She was absolutely striking and he had to swallow before saying anything back.
"Ye-yeah, you too!" He offered weakly, attempting to smile as he held a thumbs up to her. From the stage, they heard the announcement that junior acts would begin and Kagome's group was going first. Off on the other side, Sango made a garbled noise as she dry-heaved, making Ayame almost scream. Kagome quickly looked back at them, sending her bound hair flying with the sudden motion. When she turned back towards Inuyasha, there wasn't a moment of hesitation before she reached her arms around his neck. After whispering another 'good luck' into his ear, she pulled away and took off towards her friends. Inuyasha was left frozen for a while. He watched the three girls approach the curtains and noticed that Sango looked absolutely petrified, but Kagome was still trying to calm her down even as their names were being called.
"Up next, we have from the Junior class Kagome, Ayame, and Sango performing a song and dance act." The teacher announced from his place behind the curtains, a microphone allowing his voice to carry throughout the packed auditorium. In the crowd, all of their families sat relatively near each other, and had their phones out to record the girls. One by one, they came sauntering onto the stage and instantly many of their male classmates cheered and whistled in approval. The boyfriends of the three girls, however, were surprised to see their usually conservatively dressed ladies made up so provocatively.
As Ayame took her place at the microphone stand, front and center, Kagome and Sango assumed their positions behind and to the sides of her. She looked completely at home on stage, glad to be in the limelight and with all eyes on her. Kagome was comfortable with it, though she would have preferred to be wearing box shoes and a tutu in place of these clothes. Sango, however, was smiling stiffly and clearly uncomfortable. They all stood in the same positon, feet spread and hands at their hips with confidence. Just before the music started, a familiar voice could be heard in the audience.
"You got this babe! Please have my babies!" Though he was instantly reprimanded by faculty, it had its desired effect on Sango. She had to bite down on the inside of her cheek to keep from laughing, but at least she was able to relax a bit. The music began, then Ayame's melodic and trained voice filtered through the auditorium. As she remained at the microphone, holding it gently while her body rolled and swayed sensually, Kagome and Sango chimed in with their own voices to provide lovely backup vocals for her. They had the task of executing complex choreography and, needless to say, it fit the tone of the music. They swayed their hips, jutted their chests, and struck poses that could have easily been found in any night club.
Of course, there was a degree of technical difficulty that proved it wasn't just mindless writhing. Kagome was a dancer above anything else, and Sango…well she was doing her best. There were intricately planed routines using their arms that obviously took hours of practice to learn and perfect. Ayame even managed to join them in some of the moves, all while she continued to sing, showing her ability to multitask. Once the audience had recovered from the initial shock, they eventually began to appreciate the effort and time the girls had invested in their performance. There were some, namely the girl's fathers, who had difficulty keeping their eyes on stage. It was approaching the end of the song and the girls all moved in perfect unison as they dropped down into a crouching position, their thighs pressed together and hands resting gently on bent knees. Slowly straightening their legs, they remained bent at the waist and maintained arched backs, all the while staring out at the audience. They straightened back up as the music faded, blowing kisses to the audience before sauntering off stage.
Behind the curtains, the three friends broke down laughing and squealing excitedly, happy that there hadn't been any mess-ups. Inuyasha was in the same spot Kagome left him, a smile on his face as he watched her celebrate with her friends. He'd watched, but with the best view in the whole auditorium of Kagome's exciting and sensual form. For a while, it was as if she'd been dancing only for him. But Inuyasha was brought out of his happy musings when he saw Houjo approaching Kagome backstage. He took her into a tight embrace before lifting her into the air, her creamy and perfectly toned legs bending at the knees as she hugged his neck. The dancer set his girlfriend down and in the next moment, his lips were against hers.
To the side of them, Sango and Ayame gushed playfully. But as Inuyasha bared witness to it, all he could feel was the sinking of his stomach and numbing of his hands. When had Kagome and Houjo become that close? He watched Kagome return Houjo's kiss, in her own timid way, before a teacher noticed and broke it up.
Turning his head back towards his guitar, Inuyasha could do little more than focus on his upcoming song. He felt conflicted about his choice, wondering if it was appropriate or right to sing something that so directly expressed his feelings for Kagome. She wouldn't return those feelings or understand them, not with the way she so readily sucked face with Houjo. However, it was too late to make a change, and Inuyasha would have to deal with the consequences of it later on. Sighing angrily, Inuyasha shut his eyes and went back to remembering the lyrics and chord changes.
Kagome hadn't expected her first kiss to be like this. It had been so unexpected and sudden, but she felt like she had to play catch up after the first few seconds. Unsure of what to do with her hands, the insecure girl settled on holding his sleeves as she pushed back into the kiss. Was this how they did it in the movies? What was that one really good kiss? Wait…do I have to use tongue? All these thoughts and more ran through Kagome's frantic mind, almost to the point of her forgetting about the kiss all together. It seemed as if it was going on forever, and she was thankful for the teacher catching them. They were told to leave the backstage area, but she knew Inuyasha was going on soon. While her friends and Houjo began moving away, she stayed and pleased with the teacher.
"I have to watch Inuyasha perform! He's my…friend." It would have been wrong to call him her brother. Never in their lives had Kagome or Inuyasha referred to each other as siblings. Although, when she called him friend it didn't seem to do justice to what she felt they had. Thankfully, the older woman had sympathy and permitted Kagome to stay. It was only fifteen minutes before Inuyasha was going on and Kagome wouldn't miss it for the world.
"Did you see them up there?" An aggravated voice said in a hushed tone.
"Yes, and I thought they were amazing." A softer voice replied, clipped and not wanting to put up with the other's fussing.
"Amazing? What was amazing about that? You and I know that all anyone was watching was our daughter's legs! Thank God they had those white shirts or it would have been indecent." Inu-Taisho's arms were folded in front of him, and he'd slumped down in his seat beside Izayoi; who had applauded their daughter's performance with extreme gusto. At the moment, it was the period between acts and their son was going on next.
"I thought the girls looked very pretty." Izayoi mused dismissively, patting her husband's elbow. She had also been surprised by their choice of attire, but she didn't think it was as bad as some were making it. Inu-Taisho scoffed and leaned in towards her, whispering heatedly.
"As did every man in this room. You heard those boys when they went on! Don't tell me you're comfortable with them ogling your daughter like a piece of meat." He spoke as if he'd made the final winning argument, but Izayoi merely rolled her eyes as she kept her eyes trained on the stage.
"Boys have been looking at Kagome for years. It's what you males do. This was just the first time you've caught them doing it so openly. She's sixteen, Touga, and pretty soon she'll be having sex and growing up even more. All we can do is prepare her to make those choices." With that final statement, which effectively shut Touga up (possibly even breaking a portion of his brain) the lights dimmed and the announcer called Inuyasha onto the stage. Touga was distracted from the depressing thoughts going through is mind to clap for his son. Izayoi, however, felt the need to stand and scream her praise for all the world to hear. She held back a laugh at her son's embarrassment and sat back in her chair, hooking her arms with Touga's.
"Watch our son. See how good he is." She whispered eagerly.
Inuyasha took a quick breath and made his way on stage, squinting when the lights blinded him and shrouded the crowd in darkness. He heard the applause, as well as his mother's excited cry of support, and groaned as his ears went beat red. His acoustic guitar was hanging from his shoulder, resting across his front comfortably, and he adjusted the height of the microphone to fit his taller needs. Dressed in black jeans, which were both seemingly tight and loose at the same time and a plain white long-sleeve, he didn't appear to have taken much consideration in wardrobe that night. At some point that night, Inuyasha had pushed his sleeves up to his elbows, exposing the defined muscles in his forearms. A pair of Adidas high tops hinted to his appreciation for nice clothes, but all-in-all, it was a very understated look. Inuyasha's glorious silver hair had been gathered into a bun at the back of his head, but it was the fashion of the time and allowed for his handsome face to be seen for once. A guitar pick was held tightly between thumb and forefinger, and after strumming a few notes, the nervous teenager looked up to the crowd. All he could hear was the pounding of his heart. With a clearing of the throat, he licked his lips and placed a hand on the microphone.
"I'll be singing 'Tiny Dancer', by Elton John. I hope you all enjoy it." Though his voice smooth and confident, the trembling of his hands belied his cool exterior. There was no going back, not from this, and part of him didn't want to. The moment he steps off the stage, Inuyasha knew he would be forced to confront his feelings about Kagome. So, for now, he would ignore it and think about the good times before tonight. A strum of the guitar signaled the beginning of the song, and his raspy voice sent a chill through the audience with only the first few lyrics. No one expected such a voice to come from Inuyasha. The level of control and raw emotion he was able to produce was on at a caliber above some high school talent show. The song started rather subdued and mellow, that was until about half-way through. On the lyric 'When I say softly, slowly', there was a change in Inuyasha's tone that triggered an emotional response from everyone listening.
They heard the pain in his voice and in his words. As he only got more intense and guttural, everyone had a glimpse into the struggles he was going through. For the most part, Inuyasha's eyes had been closed during his performance. If he opened them, he feared seeing the possibly negative reactions of those watching. But, when he turned his face away briefly, he chanced opening his eyes. What he saw nearly made him forget the next words. Kagome was watching him from the edge of the stage, hidden by the shadow of the curtains. Her hands were clasped and a strange look was masking her face. He saw…admiration? Inuyasha returned his gaze towards the crowd as he approached the swell of the final verses. His voice was straining and fingers moved as if independent of his mind, but there wasn't a single flaw in his performance.
Shutting his eyes once more, Inuyasha was filled with visions of Kagome and moments he wished they shared. In such an emotional headspace already, those thoughts broke Inuyasha's heart even more as he ended the song on a powerful note. Having to take a step back from the microphone, Inuyasha dropped his arm from his guitar and took a moment to catch his breath. Waiting for any kind of reaction, Inuyasha did not expect such an instant and powerful response. Everyone in the auditorium eventually stood up from their seat, all applauding and cheering for him. Izayoi's voice was drowned out by the mass of people all shouting his praise, and Inuyasha was astonished. Had he really done so well? When a teacher came up to clap him on the back, smiling and giving him commendation, Inuyasha momentarily forgot about his issues and relished in the moment. For once, everyone was looking at him with approval and happiness. If this was how it felt now…he couldn't imagine how much better it would feel at his own concert.
"Inuyasha! Kagome!" Izayoi's bright voice echoed in the busy hallway outside of the auditorium, where other parents and students were congregating after the talent show. The two teenagers spotted each other through the crowd, but had mixed reactions to each other. Kagome was all smiles and excitement, whereas Inuyasha wouldn't look her in the eye and maintained a frown. They approached their parents and allowed Izayoi to fawn over her 'most talented and beautiful' children. Touga was reluctant to praise Kagome's performance, as he was at a loss for what to compliment without having to lie. However, as he gave Inuyasha's arm a supportive squeeze, he was very open about his feelings.
"I never knew you had such talent, Inuyasha. Truly remarkable." It was effective in erasing the disgruntled look on the teens face for a moment while he thanked his parents. Inuyasha shifted the guitar strap on his shoulder, also effectively turning a cold shoulder to Kagome.
"I'm going to give Kikyou a ride home. But we'll probably get dinner and catch a movie first. So…don't wait up." With a lazy wave of two fingers, Inuyasha ducked back into the crowd to go find his girlfriend. Despite his conflicting feelings over Kagome, they weren't significant enough to make him leave Kikyou. She may not be as friendly as the other girl, but she had her own traits that still drew Inuyasha to her.
Ignoring his quick exit, Izayoi and Touga turned their attention to Kagome. She was still dressed in her performance clothes and had a self-satisfied smile curling at her lips.
"So, what'd you think?" She questioned with an eager tone to her voice, ready for their praise. Touga was prepared to chastise the girl for her poor choices, but Izayoi quickly intervened in order to protect the young thing's confidence and good mood.
"Superb. Absolutely stunning. I can't believe how mature you girls looked up there." It did the trick, as Kagome jumped in place excitedly.
"I've always been so nervous about hip-hop, but now I think I'll try more of it in the future." Those words had the same effect on Inu-Taisho as if someone had poured a bucket of ice water down his shirt. But, one look at his daughter's face and he knew lost the will to crush her dreams. Instead, he brought up the bit of news he and Izayoi had to share.
"So, after we take you home, mom and I going to head out. We've got reservations at a hotel." He lead the girls outside where their car and driver waited patiently. Kagome nodded in understanding as she took the front seat to allow her parents to share the back seat comfortably.
"When will you be back?" She asked over her shoulder while fiddling with the radio, searching for a suitable song. In the back, Izayoi relaxed against her husband's shoulder as she lazy scrolled through her phone. His hand played with a section of her hair and he pondered Kagome's question.
"Sometime after two o'clock, most likely. So, have all of your friends out of the house by then." Only half-way teasing, he smiled at Kagome's playful response. The ride home was relatively quiet, what with both women absorbed in their phones and the music filling the quietness between them all. Kagome still had no clue that Inuyasha was put out with her, but she couldn't wait to see him and let him know what she thought about his performance.
A red car sat idle at the top of a parking garage, hidden in the darkest corner, facing out towards the beautiful city below. Windows had been rolled down to allow smoke to filter out, and inside rap music pulsed with a heavy beat. Inuyasha and Kikyou had the driver and passenger seats reclined as far back as possible, and while the two passed a joint between them, their eyes stared up at the night sky through an open sunroof. Of course, there were no stars to gaze at; only the lights of much taller buildings that surrounded them. Having already eaten, it'd been agreed that a movie seemed less fun than getting high.
"How did you pick that song?" Kikyou asked against her held breath, trying to keep the smoke inside her lungs as long as possible. She squinted her eyes as she passed the joint back to Inuyasha, who took two short drags and let the smoke escape through his nose. They'd been doing this since freshman year of high school, it was familiar and easy; and one of the few times they didn't fight. As Kikyou released a heavy cloud of grey smoke, Inuyasha answered her.
"I've always liked it. It's a classic song and not a lot of people do covers of it." It was true, those were all very valid and honest reasons. But the most damning and truthful reason would have started an all-out war between the two. The topic of Kagome was always a trigger for Kikyou. Inuyasha knew better than to bring her up, lest he become subject to Kikyou's wrath. He couldn't imagine that she was picking up on his feelings for the other girl…but she was a cunning and sharp girl, so it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. Now that his mind had become sidetracked with Kagome, Inuyasha couldn't help but scowl at the ugly image of she and Houjo embracing and kissing like that. Did that mean that she was doing even more things behind everyone's back? Unlikely. Inuyasha couldn't imagine that Kagome had done anything more than kiss her loser boyfriend. Then he realized that he'd never done anything further than that with Kikyou. Sure, they'd gotten close in the past, as well as seen each other in various states of undress. But they'd never actually gone all the way.
Looking over at his girlfriend, who seemed lost in her own world, Inuyasha was reminded of just how beautiful she was. It was undeniable, even from a biased stand-point, that she was gorgeous and physically flawless. What was he still waiting for? They were both adults now. Nothing was stopping them. However, as he went to initiate contact, Inuyasha found himself hesitating. Did he really want his first time to be with Kikyou? Wait, what? What was he thinking? Of course he did! She was gorgeous, everyone assumed that they were already having sex, and she had expressed her desire for it in the past. It was time to man up and go through with it!
**LEMON BEGINS HERE**
"Kikyou," Inuyasha spoke her name softly and sat up on his elbow in order to lean over her. She turned her head towards him and smiled. They met with a tender kiss, which began softly and innocently. She remembered to drop the joint in the cup holder before bringing her hands up to pull the tie out of his hair. The silver tresses fell freely and she smiled into the kiss. Kikyou loved feeling his hair between her fingers. As their kiss became deeper, hungrier, she moaned softly and arched her willing and ready body, trying to be alluring for him.
Inuyasha felt her shift and dared a peek, appreciating the view of her ample chest and lean torso. His body came alive in reaction to the sight and before he could back out, the desperate teenager took Kikyou's small wrist and guided her hand towards him, forcing contact between his constricted manhood and her palm. It was the most direct way to let her know that this was happening, and he wondered if Kikyou was as nervous as he. Their kiss never broke as seemed to surge with eagerness that took Inuyasha by surprise. She was no longer a wilting flower below him, but a dominating temptress that had their positions switched and her hands on his chest. She shifted to kneel in the passenger seat and tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. Inuyasha stared up at his girlfriend with a bewildered expression, and nodded deftly when she told him to just sit back and relax. What did she have planned?
As Kikyou shed her button-up shirt and lace camisole, Inuyasha was granted unobstructed access to her black lace clad breasts. They Victoria Secret piece did its job well as she instantly became the most enticing vision he'd ever seen. Ignoring the inkling of discomfort at the back of his mind, Inuyasha licked his lips and reached up to feel her creamy skin. The music in the car became louder, the bass reverberating around them, and Kikyou looked gorgeous bathed in the lights of the city. She leaned forward to kiss him again, and Inuyasha enjoyed the close proximity he had with her partially-naked upper half. As they got lost in the kiss, Inuyasha felt a hand fumbling with the buckle of his belt. Without hesitation, he made it easier by doing the task himself, then went the extra mile by undoing the button and zipper of his jeans. It felt amazing to have that pressure removed from his aching member, which was now only concealed by the thin fabric of his boxers.
"Condom?" It was an afterthought that put a sudden fear in Inuyasha. How could he have forgotten one? He was about to apologize when Kikyou let out a low giggle. From the back pocket of her jean skirt, she pulled out a plastic square with a circular outdent at the center. "Well aren't you prepared?" He commented jokingly, trying to ignore how disconcerting it was that she just carried that around. Had she been expecting this for a while? Why'd she have it if he'd never indicated he was ready? Shaking his head of those thoughts, Inuyasha went to grab the prophylactic from his girlfriend when she, once again, forced him to sit back. Why couldn't he take a leading role in this important night? Huffing, Inuyasha let his head fall back to his seat and fixed his strong jaw defiantly. Tempering his anger, he decided it was better to let her have her way instead of fight it.
"I'm gonna make you feel real good, Inuyasha." Her low voice was sultry, and her warm hands felt amazing as they freed his manhood from the restricting boxers. This was the first time someone was making such intimate contact with his body, and it made Inuyasha's heart race as his back lifted from the driver seat. His breath hitched and eyes shut tightly. Kikyou was expertly running her hands down the length of him, using her spit as makeshift lubricant as her thumbs massaged a particularly sensitive area he never knew she was aware of. Involuntarily, his hips rocked into her hands and the tip wept with a clear liquid that signaled his deep desire. Kikyou reveled in the power she wielded over Inuyasha. Between her legs, she could feel her own body growing wet in anticipation. For years he'd held out on her, driving her into the arms of those who were more than willing to give her what she wanted. Not that Inuyasha knew of her extra-curricular exploits.
"Kikyou," He couldn't think of anything else to say as his mouth fell open when her hands became tighter around him. "I-I need…" It was too difficult to put the words together. Knowingly, she understand the unsaid message and made a gentle sound of agreement.
"I've got you, baby…" She whispered as her hands came up behind her back and easily undid the small clasp there. T through half-lidded eyes, Inuyasha watch as her bra fell away and released her healthy chest from the lace confines. She then pulled her skirt up past deliciously rounded hips and exposed her lack of panties. Inuyasha felt his body tremble with a darker desire to be inside her and he had to bite his bottom lip to stop from moaning. After making a quick process of ripping the condom wrapper, Kikyou confidently unrolled the thin sleeve down Inuyasha's engorged member. Inuyasha was struck by how easily she'd done that. He'd heard so many stories from friends about how the first few attempts had been tricky and embarrassing for them.
"Fuck…" His rough voice seethed out between gritted teeth at the sight of Kikyou touching herself, her fingers running along her slick entrance. She had no humility or shame, which in the past had been one of her unique traits that attracted Inuyasha to her. And while it was thoroughly arousing to see, he couldn't help but feel she was trying too hard. Kikyou nimbly moved her body to crawl over the middle console between the driver and passenger seats. With her knees on either side of his narrow hips, Kikyou pressed one hand against Inuyasha's muscular chest while the other reached between their bodies, taking hold of his throbbing cock. After letting the tip run along her wet entrance, Kikyou met her boyfriend's gaze and leaned down to share one more searing kiss. Inuyasha brought both hands up to grab her toned hips, his thumbs digging into the juncture there, and resisted the urge to thrust himself into her. He had to remind himself that she was just as much a virgin as he was, so their first time needed to be gentle until they could both adjust to the new feeling.
However, those ideas were dashed when Kikyou let her body sink down onto him in one fluid motion. There was no resistance or hesitation on her part, no of fear of the unknown that so clearly plagued his mind and body. As he was sent reeling from the new sensation of being inside her, Kikyou had already begun to rock her body against his in quick, vigorous motions. She braced herself with hands on his shoulders, and between them her enticing chest bounced in rhythm with her thrusting. The sounds of their skin slapping one another faded into the loud music still playing, but he could feel the slickness that was being produced between them.
**END LEMON HERE**
As he began to grow accustomed to amazing feeling, parts of his higher brain function began to return as well. Inuyasha realized that this was not Kikyou's first time. Her actions told him so, and all the connotations that came with that realization almost caused Inuyasha to shove her away. But, his body betrayed him and allowed their bittersweet intermingling to continue. Her skilled body was very effective in bringing him closer and closer to a much anticipated release. Inuyasha's fingers gripped her hips roughly, his blunt digits digging into the soft skin there without regard of any pain she might feel. He began to meet Kikyou's rolling hips with powerful thrusts of his own, rocking her body in reckless abandon. Her voice rose high and loud with each moan brought out by his powerful thrusting, and he watched her face contort into an expression of absolute bliss. His own was one of anger and determination, and his thrusts began to have a darker intent. Who else had she been with? Why couldn't she have waited for him? How long had she been unfaithful?! Eventually, their combined efforts escalated into him reaching a powerful release while her own body found ecstasy around his throbbing member.
She collapsed on top of his body, both of their chests heaving as they gasped for air with each inhale. Her body was glistening in sweat, as was his underneath his clothes. As Inuyasha's length began to relax inside of her, Kikyou laughed softly and moved to separate from him. He watched with a detached gaze as his semi-erect cock slid free from her warmth. Quickly sitting up he rid himself of the condom and tossed it out the window. He turned to see Kikyou fixing her skirt, unashamed of herself as she pulled the camisole back over her head. She didn't bother putting the bra back on. Inuyasha looked away as he fixed himself and zipped his pants before buckling the belt around his waist. He didn't want to look at Kikyou, not yet. Before, when it was just his feelings for Kagome that were upsetting him, his temper had been manageable. Now with the devastating realization about Kikyou, he wasn't sure how much longer he could stay in her presence. He didn't want to lash out at her, not after all the times she'd taken his side and been his friend, but this was a grave betrayal of his trust.
"That was fun~" She commented with a hoarse voice, smiling at Inuyasha as if nothing was amiss. He simply nodded and leaned forward to allow the driver seat to adjust back into a normal position. Starting the car, he pulled a straight face and a distant attitude, though it didn't seem to both Kikyou one bit. In fact, she seemed excited by it. "Kiss me," She whispered before leaning towards him, and Inuyasha had to stop himself from acting upon violent thoughts. With pursed lips, he gave a quick peck and returned his attention to driving. With both hands on the steering wheel, Inuyasha preventing Kikyou from lacing their fingers like she always did. He wanted to be as far away from her as possible.
Seated at her computer, the bright screen the only source of light, Kagome lazily perused a list of possible stories to read until her mind could shut down. It was a little past midnight, yet the teenager could not fall asleep. Her brain was too active to allow any kind of rest. Reading fan-made stories about her favorite Japanese cartoons often had a calming effect, alas, none of the story synopsis' caught her attention. Pushing back from her desk with a sigh, Kagome figured there had to be something to watch on TV. But first, a snack!
Dressed in a pair of black leggings and an oversized shirt stolen from Sesshoumaru's closet, Kagome was looking like her usual self. Her face was free of makeup her had been let down to hang in thick sheets of black around her shoulders. It'd been fun to dress up, but she didn't think that look was going to be one she'd go for very often. As she descended the stairs, Kagome was a little daunted by the fact she was the only inhabitant of the manor. The hired help was gone and Inuyasha hadn't come back yet; leaving her alone in the dark house. Everywhere she went, she turned on lights as if they were breadcrumbs to return to her room safely later that evening. Now feeling a bit safer, Kagome went through the fridge looking for anything that might pique her appetite. To her happy surprise, there was a pizza box with four slices left! Clearly, it was Inuyasha's pizza, but she didn't particularly care. They stole each other's left-overs all the time.
Kagome snuck herself two of the slices and didn't bother heating them up. Cold pizza was one of her guilty pleasures. As she pulled a bottle of ranch dressing from the fridge, Kagome grinned when she realized no one was around to make fun of her for it. Everyone thought she was gross for enjoying the taste of pizza and ranch, but they just didn't know any better in her opinion. Kagome took a large bite of pizza and laughed as she chewed. She poured a dollop of ranch onto the plate between the two slices of pizza and began making her way towards the living room. For some reason, she was feeling hyper and very happy, and couldn't stop herself from dancing down the hallway. Walking on the balls of her feet, as if she were still wearing those red pumps, Kagome hummed the song from earlier that night as she took long strides and swayed her hips, all the while carrying her plate and making faces she thought looked sexy. It was fun having the house to herself! No one was around to tease her or shame her strange habits.
However, just as she was turning the corner of the living room, a sound from outside caught Kagome's attention. Frozen mid-step, she rocked back onto her heels and looked down the hall towards the backyard. Furrowing her brow, the suspicious teenager went to put her plate on the coffee table before she began stalking towards the source of the noise. Her mind was racing with concerns over what might be out there, and for a moment she considered calling Inu-Taisho instead of being brave. Licking her lips, Kagome inched closer to the french doors and gazed out into the dark outside through the glass. At first she didn't see anything other than their normal backyard. Then, there was movement coming from one of the pool-side lounges. Kagome felt her stomach drop. Was it a home intruder? On the wall to her left there was a row of light switches. Quickly she flipped the one that turned on the flood lights outside, and in the next moment the yard was illuminated. The person who had been relaxing reacted angrily, bringing his arm up to shield his eyes, and Kagome let out a relieved breath.
"Inuyasha." It was just him. Ignoring the absurdity of the situation, Kagome quickly stepped outside into the bitter coldness of that December night and padded up to him. "What are you doing out here? You nearly gave me a heart attack!" She chastised, hugging her body and hunching over to conserve as much body heat as possible. As she looked down at him, still reclining with no indication that he was going to get up, Kagome noticed an empty glass bottle laying on the ground nearby. It was one of their father's vintage whiskey bottles. He was going to be furious! "Inuyasha! What are you doing? Why'd you get into the liquor cabinet?" Moving over closer to him, she lowered herself to sit on the edge of the lounge chair.
Suddenly, there was a rough jab to her arm and she fell over onto the rough ground. Kagome caught herself with the palms of her hands, but quickly felt the dull sting that came with scrapped skin. Looking back at him, she finally noticed the half-finished bottle of vodka clutched in his hand, and that he was currently tipping it up against his lips to take another swig. Confused and more than a little worried, Kagome pushed herself to stand and picked up the whiskey bottle before reaching to take the vodka from him. But Iunyasha simply pushed his hand out and forced her away from him.
"Fuck off 'gmay." With slurred words, Kagome instantly realized how inebriated he was. Her blue eyes rolled dramatically and she shook her head in disappointment.
"No. You're going to freeze to death if you stay out here. Come on." She grabbed his free arm and noticed how cold he was as she gave a weak tug. Of course, he rebelled and yanked away from her, but the motion caused him to fall over the side of the lounge chair. The vodka fell and rolled away, spilling some of the clear alcohol. This enraged the eighteen-year-old and he let out a loud, drunken cry of frustration. Kagome took a few steps back, still holding the whiskey bottle, and watched him drunkenly try to stand on his own. His sense of balance was off, proven by the way he swayed and staggered even as he stood in one place.
"Why'd you get drunk? I thought you had such a good night." This behavior really was out-of-the-blue for him. What had caused Inuyasha to get this upset? He laughed bitterly and pointed a wavering finger at her, almost reproachfully.
"Yeah, I bet it was a g'night for you. I saw 'ow you kissed tha' loser Hoojoo." He couldn't keep his eyes focused on anything, but his accusatory tone caused Kagome to blush guiltily.
"Why do you care? He's my boyfriend and that's what boyfriends and girlfriends do." Shaking her head, Kagome realized it was pointless to try and argue with him. "Look, you can be mad all you want. But only if you go inside." She stepped aside to give him a wide birth, knowing that any attempt to help him would be met with anger. Inuyasha was complacent for the moment and began stumbling his way inside. Kagome followed, but made sure to snatch the vodka on the way. When he didn't fall sideways into the pool, Kagome came up behind him and gingerly helped guide him through the open door. "Good job. Now go take a shower." She had a motherly tone to her soft voice that made Inuyasha scoff. When the house's warmth surrounded his cold figure, the disgruntled teen let out an involuntary shiver.
"I 'ad sex t'night. Kik'yo an' me 'ad sex. She was good at it too. Like a pro." On and on, he kept describing the act to Kagome, who was trying to refrain from bashing the empty glass bottle against his thick head. Her ears burned in embarrassment and anger as she locked the back door.
"Inuyasha, stop. Just go upstairs." She said curtly and brushed past him to get to the kitchen. But as she did, his hand shot out to grab the vodka, though he mistakenly took back the empty whiskey instead. She just scoffed and kept on her way, turning her nose up as he tried to drink from the empty bottle like an idiot. While she put the vodka back inside their father's liquor cabinet, she didn't hear his stealthy entrance into the kitchen. When Kagome stood back up and turned around, Inuyasha was leaning against the wall, his body relaxed and limp. He had a cold look in his eye though, and Kagome was nervous to try and walk past him.
"When you gon' fuck 'em? Or 'ave you don' it already?" His tone was so judgmental and teasing; it brought back memories of how he treated her when she lived on the streets. Kagome rubbed her arm and looked away from him. She heard his body lurch as he dry-heaved and knew he was going to get sick at some point. Inuyasha pushed past the nausea and took a few steps towards her. "You too nervous? S'not as bad as ya think. I know you been keep'n 'em waiting…bet he's fucked s'm'one else cuz you're a prude. If ya make 'em wait…he's gon' cheat." He was trying to be hurtful, and though Kagome knew that it was all the alcohol talking, it didn't prevent the words from having their desired effect. When she looked up again, Inuyasha was only a few feet away and still coming closer. His hand was holding onto the edge of the counter for support and she could smell the alcohol radiating from him.
"You're drunk and need to sleep this off. Inuyasha-" He was suddenly pushing her against the pantry door, his body crushing hers as he lost the ability to stand up on his own. Kagome's arms were trapped between them, leaving her with no leverage to push him off, and she struggled helplessly. His free hand came up to rest on her hip and she squirmed to break away. "Get off me!" Finally raising her voice, fear had seeped into the back of her mind and put a trembling edge to her words.
"I can show you. It's fun, K'gome." He whispered huskily into her ear, and then pressed his lower half into hers to emphasize his meaning. Tearing up, Kagome did the only thing she could think of and pulled her knee up between his legs, catching him by surprise and sending a painful jolt up his body. Inuyasha hissed loudly and stumbled back. He hunched over and glared at Kagome with a seething look in his eyes. She was breathing heavily and glaring right back at him, looking like a cornered animal. Neither said a word, and all was quiet until he suddenly chucked the glass bottle onto the tiled floor between them, causing it to shatter. Kagome cried out and jumped up onto the counter at her side to avoid getting her feet sliced by the dangerous shards.
"That could have hurt me!" She looked up from the mess to see Inuyasha spinning around to leave her there. He made it a few steps and turned the corner to head down the hallway. But when she heard his body slumping and crashing to the floor, Kagome scrambled across the counter and jumped down once she was past the array of broken glass.
"Inuyasha!" She rushed to his side, kneeling down and shaking his arm. He was out cold, but making sounds that told her he was near the point of getting sick. Clicking her teeth, she rushed to the hall closet where the maid's cleaning supplies were kept. From inside she pulled out a plastic bucket and returned to Inuyasha with it in hand. "Idiot." Pulling him into a sitting position, Kagome let his body slump against the wall, not really caring when the back of his head collided with the hard surface, and placed the bucket between his legs. "Absolute moron." His skin was clammy and pale, with beads of sweat forming above his silver brow. Using the hairband that was around her wrist, Kagome attempted to pull Inuyasha's mane up into a bun, though it was sloppy and hung awkwardly to the side. His body gave a lurch and she groaned. "Fucking dummy, asshole, jerk." Gently, Kagome put a hand at the back of Inuyasha's neck and guided him into a hunch over position, with his face hovering directly over the bucket. His body suddenly tensed and she fumbled to hold the bucket close, then turned her eyes away as he emptied his stomach into it. The sounds and smells made bile rise in her own throat, but she didn't waiver or pull away until nearly half a minute went by without him getting sick.
Inuyasha groaned softly as he coughed and fell back against the wall, his head tipping back with his dirty mouth hanging open. She couldn't help but think he looked like those stupid birds that allowed themselves to drown whenever it rained by doing the same thing. With an aggravated sigh, Kagome quickly came up with a plan. First, she took off towards the nearby guest bathroom with the bucket extended as far from her body as possible. She closed her eyes and held her breath while emptying it into the toilet, then flushed it as fast as possible. Only willing to breathe once the toilet was done flushing, Kagome regretted the choice of peeking into the bucket. With some of it still clinging to the smooth plastic walls, she rinsed it out in the sink and poured the excess dirty water in the toilet and flushed again. The disgusting scent still hung in the air and she swallowed hard to get rid of the nausea. There was too much to do before she could allow herself to get sick.
"I'm going to kill him. I am going to commit murder, enjoy it, and not feel bad at all." Grumbling under her breath, Kagome pulled a towel from under the sink and held it under the tap, letting it soak up the cool water. After wringing it out, she hurried back to Inuyasha, who was just as she'd left him, and put the bucket back down beside his knee. With the cool, wet cloth in her open palm, Kagome cleaned his mouth and chin, even going so far as to run the fabric behind his lips and over his tongue. Folding it in half, she used the clean side to sooth his heated forehead and neck. By the way he moaned and leaned into her touch, Kagome surmised it was having a good effect.
"Hey, Inuyasha." With a demanding tone, Kagome gently tapped his cheek with her hand to rouse him awake. He groaned, but did nothing else. "Look, I've got to clean up your mess. So, if you feel like you're going to throw up again, please get it in the bucket." Kagome put it back between his legs and watched him carefully for a few seconds before standing back up. She went to the same closet as before and pulled out a broom and dust pan. Though, a thought crossed her mind. She was barefoot…and it was hundreds of tiny shards. This was not a good combination.
Brushing her hands together to knock off any dust, Kagome shut the hall closet door and turned back to Inuyasha. Still where she'd left him, his light snoring reassured her that he was going to be okay. Crossing the distance between them, Kagome's footfalls were loud and clunking, what with Inuyasha's heavy shoes being four sizes too big for her feet. With hands at her waist, she glowered down at him.
"Must be real nice to get to sleep while I do all the hard work. How am I supposed to get you upstairs?" Crouching down next to him, Kagome nudged Inuyasha's shoulder. "Wake up. Inuyasha you have to wake up." Nothing; except the lifeless lolling of his head and continued snoring. "Fine!" Throwing her arms into the air, Kagome stomped into the spotless kitchen and pulled down a cup, then filled it with ice and water. Snatching a straw on her way back to him, Kagome knelt down at his side and dipped her fingertips into the cold water. Flicking them out, she watched his face twitch when the droplets met his heated skin. "Wake up." She commanded and did it again, this time with more water and a louder voice. "Wake. Up!" Inuyasha's eyes cracked open, but they did not focus on anything but the floor in front of him. He shut his gaping jaw and tried to swallow, but his throat was raw and tongue was dry.
"Drink this." She held the cup out and put the straw against his lips. There was a brief moment when Kagome smiled as complied. He finished the cold water in a matter of seconds and sighed at the cooling relief. "Good, now get up." She set the glass down away from him and put the bucket and cleaned wash cloth aside as well. "You need to go to bed and I am not going to carry you up those stairs." Using all her strength, Kagome pulled Inuyasha to his feet and draped his arm over her shoulder, bracing the majority of his weight on her smaller frame. "Don't fall down. Gimme a sec." She muttered and bent down to grab the bucket, then let it hang from the crook of her elbow by its plastic handle. Inuyasha was barely lucid and moved as if his limbs were controlled by strings, and the person pulling those strings had no idea what they were doing.
It took them almost fifteen minutes to get up the flight of stairs for one reason or another. Either Inuyasha had to pause as a wave of nausea overcame him, or Kagome needed to take a break before he pulled her down or caused some kind of injury. Had she been bigger or stronger, the task would not have been as strenuous. Eventually, she managed to dump his body onto his bed, though he landed in an awkward position. Kagome's muscles trembled and shook from the pain of having done all that, and her breathing was labored, but she couldn't just leave him like that.
"Okay, Inuyasha. Just put your legs up. Come on." One by one, she managed to push his heavy legs over the edge of the mattress. But he couldn't stay on his back like this; not if he wasn't done throwing up. Taking hold of his arm furthest away from her, Kagome used her weight and a foot braced against the side of his bed to roll his sluggish form over. Inuyasha groaned and fussed at her, but she could tell he was going to get sick again when she saw how clammy he was getting. She gently moved his head so that his chin hung on the edge, then held the empty bucket up to his face. The young girl was seated on his floor, legs crossed in an attempt to be somewhat comfortable during this ordeal. And as expected, Inuyasha wretched again as whatever was left inside him came out. Thankfully it wasn't much. Kagome used her free hand to rub his shuddering back and turned her face away until he was finished. It was going to be a long night.
Sunlight filtered through the closed blinds of Inuyasha's window, casting parallel lines of white against the wall furthest from him. Nothing stirred in the quiet room, despite that it was nearly twelve in the afternoon and well past the time they were usually awake on a Saturday. Slowly, one of the two slumbering individuals did begin to rouse from a night of dreamless sleep. With half of his face pressed firmly into the mattress, only Inuyasha's right eye cracked open. His vision was blurry at first, but when he brought his hand up to rube the corner of his eye, things became clear. Groaning softly into his sheets, Inuyasha went to pick his head up and immediately regretted it. Like a fire inside his skull, pain radiated and caused a dull, aching throb. There was a bitter taste in Inuyasha's mouth and when he took in a breath through parted lips, there was a painful sting of irritation in his throat.
There was a weird sensation at the back of his neck as well, and it became distracting enough to make him reach up to remove whatever it was. His fingers felt course fibers and slowly he pulled it towards the front of his face. It was a washcloth, dried and crusted from having sat there all night. Who had put it there? Bracing himself for the pain, Inuyasha lifted his head and blinked a few times before looking around his room. There was a bucket on the floor and a cup sitting next to it. Shifting his gaze further up, he saw a pair of feet. Trailing his gaze up the person's legs and torso, Inuyasha was confused to see Kagome asleep in his desk chair. She was slumped and her head rested against her shoulder awkwardly, and the whole position just looked uncomfortable. Why was she in his room? What had happened last night?
"Hey…" His voice was soft and raspy, barely loud enough to be heard. After clearing his throat, Inuyasha shifted and pulled his arms underneath him to sit up on his elbows a bit. "Kagome, wake up." This was enough to pull her from her sleep. Inuyasha watched as Kagome's blue eyes fluttered open and she took in a deep breath. Her body moved sluggishly until she was sitting up in his chair, looking very irritable. "What happened last night?" He was not in the mood for wasting time. As she rubbed her sore neck, Kagome looked at Inuyasha with a strange mix of emotions.
"You got drunk by the pool and I took care of you." She retorted, unwilling to reveal anything else to him. Kagome pushed herself up from his chair and stiffly turned to leave. However, Inuyasha wasn't satisfied with the answer.
"What else happened? I don't remember anything." He demanded with a pained voice. Speaking any louder was going to cause his head to explode. Kagome paused in his doorway, but didn't look back. Should she tell him? What was the point in protecting him from his terrible actions? What did she owe him to allow him that courtesy? Anger boiled inside Kagome, but she knew that there was nothing that could make her divulge the truth. She knew better than that. Whatever he said, it came from a dark place and was twisted by the effects of alcohol. If he knew, the guilt would crush him. Still, she didn't have to be sweet to him.
"Nothing. You threw up and blacked out. I suggest you take some medicine soon. Mom and Dad will be home around two o'clock." On that final note, she left and shut the door behind her. Inuyasha could hear her bare feet padding across the hallway to her room, and then the sound of her door opening and shutting. Unaware of her hurt feelings or that he was the reason for them, Inuyasha merely let out a deep breath and let his head fall back onto his pillow, almost instantly falling back asleep.
The sounds of rushing water and loud music drowned out the cries coming from one very confused and tormented young woman. Desperate to hide away in the one place she could be truly alone, without interruption, Kagome had stripped out of her clothes as soon as the lock on her bathroom door turned. Tears were already burning her eyes as she opened a music app on her phone and placed it on the speaker dock by the sink. She didn't care what was playing, so long as it was loud. Kagome angrily pulled her shirt over her head and forced the tight leggings past her knees. In her need to be free, sounds of frantic whimpers and disheartened sobs ripped past curled lips. After tugging the leggings from her ankles, Kagome threw back the shower curtain and scrambled into the porcelain tub. Her trembling hands fumbled with the temperature knobs and she barely flinched when ice cold water jetting across her skin.
It took a minute before the water went from chilly to warm, but Kagome was so numb that she barely noticed the change. Her arms were wrapped tightly around herself, trying to keep herself grounded in reality before raging emotions could boil over. Black hair clung to wet skin in inky tendrils, growing heavy and slick as water saturated it. All around her, steam billowed and made the air thick with a white mist, but Kagome didn't take notice. Her eyes were shut so firmly, and mouth pursed so tightly, they acted as a dam to the chaos going on inside her small body. Surely if she allowed her lips to part or her eyes to open, Kagome would begin to cry until the end of time.
So many emotions fought inside Kagome's mind. Fear, Anxiety, Guilt, Shame…Lust and Sympathy. Inuyasha had asked her once why she didn't hate him; and at this moment Kagome truly didn't understand herself when she still could not bring herself to resent him! This was the worst he'd been to her since that day ten years ago. It was worse because back then he had the excuse of youth and ignorance; but after all they had been through and the feelings they had for each other, as confusing as they might be, there was no excuse for it at all. His words cut to the center of her insecurity and twisted them until she felt she could break. Hearing about his sexual exploits was just as painful to hear, because it painted a vivid picture in the girl's mind that could never be erased. However, despite all the pain and torment, she couldn't ignore how her body reacted when he pressed against her in the kitchen.
"Idiot! Stupid!" Kagome didn't stop herself from punching the side of her fist into the white tile of the shower wall, hoping the physical pain would distract her. She didn't want to admit that those desires for Inuyasha had been lying dormant for some time, or that they had been ignited in the moment his hips thrusted against hers. She didn't want to think she was the kind of person who would allow him to ravish her if given the chance. That wasn't the kind of person she wanted to be! Kagome wanted to have those thoughts towards her actual boyfriend; not someone else's. Inuyasha was with Kikyou, a fact made very evident to her by the way he bragged and boasted, but that still didn't stop Kagome from dreaming about holding his hand or kissing him.
Kagome's body finally relaxed, unable to maintain its painfully tense position a second longer, and leaned against the shower wall pitifully. Her head tipped to the side and hand came up to touch the cold tile, though her eyes stared off into oblivion with a far-away look. She would carry the weight of last night's events on her shoulders, all alone. She couldn't hold Inuyasha to his words and actions, it wasn't fair. But she couldn't go to anyone else to vent or her feelings for Inuyasha would be revealed for the world to judge. It placed a heavy burden on her soul, and when she felt a dull ache inside her chest, Kagome's hand came up to try and sooth her breaking heart. The fates were terribly unfair and cruel to those powerless to change their situations. But as much as it hurt to acknowledge her feelings for Inuyasha, Kagome knew that she wouldn't trade them for anything. They were too precious and she was not ready to give up on them.
