Part Three

Kasane x Nobunaga

"Riike aI saiid, Tono-sama is too strict!"

After finishing up half of the bottle by herself, the completely drunk Kasane began quarrelling one sidedly with Nobunaga.

"If you were ju-st a bit more nicer, everyone would happily listen to your orders!"

While Kasane edged up to him, Nobunaga completely ignored her instead enjoying his drink instead of her lecture.

"Even… you have a splendid… brother like Nobuyuki-san…"

As she suddenly lost all intensity at the end of her sentence, Nobunaga looked at her for an instant wondering what was going on.

"...Uuu… Masamune… Kotestuuu…."

Just after mentioning him and his little brother, Kasane remembered her siblings whom she left behind in her homeland and began to cry.

Just when he thought she was some argumentative drunk, she suddenly becomes a maudlin drunk. Nobunaga sighed at her incoherent change.

"You've come back, Tenrou."

With a whoosh, Tenrou landed into the room through the open window.

When Nobunaga raised out his arm, Tenrou lowered itself onto him.

"You also want to drink?"

Bringing out his cup to Tenrou, the bird pecked at the liquid, drinking it.

Kasane sat up and stared at the idle forms of Nobunaga and Tenrou.

"...Tono-sama, you're nice to Tenrou."

"...So."

"Not only Tenrou, you're also nice to cats and dogs."

"...So what are you implying."

Listening to an irked Kasane, Nobunaga raised his brow.

"...Even though you've never smiled like that at me…"

"..."

He couldn't understand. What's making this woman so unsatisfied.

He frowned as he couldn't decipher her behavior.

That being said, Kasane herself couldn't understand what she was saying.

Nobunaga was unconditionally nice to Tenrou and the other animals.

Above all, he would always give a smile, one that would never to be shown to her.

She couldn't figure out the reason why, but that somehow greatly irked her.

Something fuzzy buzzed within her as she knew he never once showed that kind of face to her.

"Even though… it'd would be nice to show me that smile."

Just as she grumbled out those words, Nobunaga's eyes widened.

"...Could it be, you're envious?"

"..."

Hearing such unexpected words from Nobunaga, Kasane went deep into thought.

Envy, oh he means jealousy.*

Envious? Of who? ...Because of Tono-sama?

Why? The single word raised itself in her mind, but if Tono-sama did that to people than to animals… Let's say to a woman.

If he gives that special smile, the one that would never direct to her, to those kinds of people somehow the feeling of irritation and gloominess and exhaustion mixed in herself all at once making her unable to understand such a complicated question; she cradled her head.

"...I'm not jealous!"

In the end, she reached to that conclusion. Kasane swiped the sake bottle and looked the other way.

"You're like a cat."

Nobunaga softly said.

Just when he thought she was becoming familiar with him, she would immediately back off. Just when she seems to yearn and tries to come close, she would then turn indifferent as if nothing had happened before.

"Like an undisciplined stray…"

With unwavering eyes, he drew closer to Kasane.

Tenrou went away.

"...Hm."

He lightly kissed her lips.

Though Kasane's eyes widened from surprise, she didn't resist, which allowed him to deepen the kiss.

Finding it difficult to breath Kasane grimaced, however Nobunaga disregarded that and slipped his tongue into her mouth.

The taste of faint sake spread from the tip of her tongue.

"...Fu….Hn…"

Kasane's gasps for air arouse his desire even further.

The ache pushed him on, further on.

"Ha… ha…"

Nobunaga separated from her lips.

Left in the open, Kasane took deep breaths of fresh air.

"Wwa?"

Nobunaga pushed her down and pinned her under him.

Having her two arms pressed down by his hands, she could find no way to escape.

"What…?"

As she blankly looked up at Nobunaga, she could see a faint smile grace his lips.

...Ah, he smiled.

She vacantly thought in her mind.

Absolutely elated that he finally smiled at her, Kasane also could not help but smile back.

"It was you who started all this after all."

'This'?

"By the way, how do you undress yourself?"

'Undress'?

"...Well the bottom is lightly clothed anyway, so it doesn't really matter…"

As she heard those words in a dreamlike state, Kasane suddenly noticed someone's footsteps coming closer to the room.

"Nobunaga-sama, Nobuyuki-sama wished for prior consideration concerning the next battle…"

Just as the door slid open, Ikeda appeared.

Without another word, Ikeda gazed at Nobunaga and Kasane.

"...May you be successful."**

And with that single sentence, Ikeda slid the door shut.

In that moment, Kasane broke out of her stupor and jumped up.

"WAaaah? What!? What was that?! Anyway what are you doing, Tono-sama!? ?"

"So the drunkard became sober…"

Nobunaga curtly clicked his tongue.

He-he wasn't joking! !

If she wasn't sober by then surely she would in a situation where she wouldn't be able to return home.

Though Ikeda himself didn't really do anything, his entrance really helped her this time.

"Oi, if you're sober then stand up."

"W-why?"

"Come with me."

After he said that, Nobunaga left the room.

She couldn't believe that he acted as if nothing happened moments before.

Kasane felt uneasy following after him, however she didn't know what would happen if she didn't follow him after he ordered her to come.

Preparing herself, Kasane took the wooden sword that was laying in his room and went after Nobunaga.

"...What is that sword for?"

"N-next time T-tono-sama does something strange, I'll be really angry!"

"Hmph…"

Observing Kasane cautiously thrusting the sword toward him in a slightly determined manner, Nobunaga faintly laughed.

*In Japanese we have 妬く/焼く (yaku) and やきもち (yakimochi) as well as 嫉妬 (shitto) that mean jealousy/envy. Nobunaga used the yaku version while in Kasane's mind she 'translates it to yakimochi'. Yaku can also mean to burn, drugs, etc (depending on how they are written and used in the sentence) so a drunk person like Kasane here would have to think for a bit in order to process his words.

**This was quite hard to translate. In fact this took me the most time to translate. お盛んで (osakan) means prosperous, successful, popular, vigorous, etc. It think he's telling them that they're quite vigorous so continue on. Ahahaha. But, I might be wrong. So I placed in 'may you be successful', just in case if he's wishing for Nobunaga to get an heir already.

It's al little late, but I made it in time, I hope. Translating love scenes is quite hard not to mention awkward.
