There's No Way That's Hinata!

I DO NOT OWN NARUTO OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS, but I do own the storyline!

Chapter; 15

Hinata and her friends stood shocked looking back and forth between the letter and Hiashi who was standing with a firm smirk on his face. She could not believe after all this time he spent reminding them how much he didn't care and now here he was trying to fight to get them back. It was becoming a scary situation. Hinata was terrified, even though legally he couldn't make her go with him since she was 18. But for Hanabi who was only ten would have no choice but to go with this monster. Kurenai stood silently reading over the letter carefully before turning her glare on the man standing in front of her.

"What's your game you bastard?" she questioned folding the letter neatly in her hands, he continued with his cocky smirk as he answered.

"It's simple really. I don't think you're the best person to be raising my children. I am there father after all."

Kurenai continued to glare at the man standing before her.

"If you think for one second you have a chance at this then you really have lost it." she hissed at him before straightening up and adding.

"Besides, I think the courts would be on my side about things when they find out about a few things." she smirked when she saw his face fall.

"And what things were you talking about?" he questioned returning her glare. Kurenai just flipped her hair over her shoulder before turning away from him.

"Don't worry about it, if it's a battle you want just know you've got one." she told him ushering Hinata and Hanabi to walk away leaving Hiashi fuming behind them. Hinata stayed silent until they were safely back in the limo. She didn't even say by to her friends.

"Kurenai, he won't get custody of her will he?" she asked holding onto her sister tighter. Kurenai sighed and wrapped them both in a hug.

"I'm not going to lie kiddo, he does have a pretty good case." she mumbled feeling her niece tense up in her arms.

"But so do I. I would never let that monster take you girls from me, just know that." she stated sternly feeling Hinata nod her head but she still didn't relax. Of all the things that man could do to them he went right for the worst thing possible. Closing her eyes she rocked back and forth with Hanabi and her aunt. She knew her little sister didn't fully understand the whole situation but she did however know he was trying to take them. Hanabi didn't cry but she was shaking and Hinata didn't know what to do anymore. Normally she'd always have an answer but not now. How could she when things happened way to fast. This would have to be the one time she'd leave it to Kurenai, she knew she could trust her. She felt a hand touch her shoulder and jumped a little but relaxed when she saw it was Matsuri giving her a small smile.

"Don't worry Hina, we're all here for you." she told her looking toward the rest of the group. Gaara, Temari, Kankuro, Matsuri and Karin have been with her for so long, they were basically family to them.

"if that old man thinks he's going to win then he's got another thing coming right Gaara." Temari said looking to her younger brother who nodded in agreement. Hinata felt a bit silly not remembering that they were also on their side. Besides Gaara has one of the world's best lawyers at their father's firm, no one has been able to beat him yet. But even with that knowledge she still had a hard time calming herself down. She knew as soon as they decided to move back to Japan that he would probably try something but she was hoping with everything she had it wouldn't be this. Just the thought of that monster taking her sister away scared the hell out of her. Taking a deep breath she forced herself to relax for the remainder of the ride home. She really didn't feel like going out to celebrate anymore. Kurenai looked over to her niece and placed a hand on her head. Hinata looked back at her aunt and gave her a small smile.

"Don't worry kiddo," she whispered giving her a smile of her own.

"Why don't I make us a big celebration dinner, just all of us enjoying a nice family dinner." she added hoping it would cheer her a up a little. Hinata smiled and nodded feeling a bit better.

"Alright then on to the store we go!" she heard her aunt yell to the limo driver causing everyone to laugh.

'Maybe I'm worried about nothing?' she thought watching her family and friends discuss on what they should have for dinner.

With Naruto and Friends

Naruto decided to have his friends over for a bit before they all went out with their families for dinner.

"Dude that was some mess up shit." Kiba said leaning on Ino messing with her hair. She rolled her eyes but nodded in agreement.

"Yeah I know what you mean, did he have to do that in front of everyone there though?" Tenten stated taking a sip of her soda, Neji shook his head in disappointment.

"I wish I could say he's normally not that bad, but unfortunately he is. He'll do anything to get what he wants." he told them rubbing his temples. Everyone else let out a sigh.

"He guys I don't think we should be thinking of something so depressing. I mean we all just graduated, let's celebrate first." Naruto said lifting his can soda for a toast.

"A toast to making it till the end, something I was sure I wasn't going to be doing." he joked and smiled when he heard his friends laughter. Well all but Neji.

"I wish I could celebrate but I'm still worried about Hinata and Hanabi." he stated leaning back on the couch. Naruto sighed and scratched the back of his head.

"Look we're all worried about her but she didn't seem to want to talk about it, hence why she left so fast. Hell If I was her I wouldn't want to either. So for today let's celebrate and first thing tomorrow we go over to check on her." he offered flopping down in his lazy boy, everyone agreed and left the matter alone. But Naruto could tell that Neji still wasn't sold on the idea, in the end he just went along with it.

'Hopefully she's alright.' Naruto thought as he talked with his friends.

Time Skip- Next Day

She felt so much better now that she had a night to sleep on things. It was still bothering her but she's finally managed to calm herself enough to get on with her day. Today they would all be resting while her aunt went with Gaara down to see their lawyer. She was sure that she needed to keep Hanabi's mind off of things for a while since there father decided to become a problem. Besides she was only 10 she really didn't need to be so worried about things such as this. Maybe they'd go to the park or even the lake, it would be a nice day to go swimming. Hinata smiled making up her mind and went to go tell her sister. Hopefully this would cheer her up some. Opening the door to her younger sister's room she saw her up and watching TV already. She quietly walked up next to her and tapped her shoulder causing the younger girl to jump in surprise. Hanabi glared playfully at her laughing older sister.

"Really that was not funny." she pouted crossing her arms, Hinata finally calmed down enough to stop laughing but a giggle escaped here and there.

"Sorry Hanabi, but you have to admit that it was funny." she said giggling a bit more smiling down to her. Hanabi couldn't stay mad, not that she was mad in the first place and smiled back.

"Okay I guess it was kind of funny. But what's up?" she stated smiling back giving Hinata a feeling of ease now that she saw that the situation yesterday didn't seem to have a big effect on her sister.

"I was just thinking that it would be nice if we all got out of the house today. So why don't we go down to the lake and swim for a bit." she told her standing up from her crouched down position. She could see her sisters eyes light up as she jumped around for joy.

"Yeah that sounds like fun!" Hanabi screamed jumping into her sisters arms. Hinata chuckled and put her back on her feet.

"Alright then you better get ready, make sure to pack extra clothes for after." she said exiting the room hearing her sister rush around her room.

She smiled to herself going to get her own clothes ready for the trip, it would be nice to relax for once. As she was packing she heard someone at the door.

"Got it!" she heard Matsuri yell, so she returned to what she was doing.

Downstairs

Matsuri hummed to herself going to open the door. She frowned when she saw who was on the other side. Standing in the doorway was Naruto and his friends.

"Can I help you?" she asked not hiding her bored tone. Naruto rolled his eyes at her.

"We're here to see Hinata." he told her. Matsuri eyed them slowly finally deciding to let them in. She led them to their family room where Kankuro and Gaara where sitting watching TV.

"Wait here I'll go get her for you." she said ascending up the steps until she was out of view. They all just stood there awkwardly since Gaara and Kankuro were staring at them. Gaara with a blank but obviously annoyed stare, and Kankuro with a more irritated look. The group glared at the two.

"What?" snapped Neji

"What do you mean what? You're the ones standing in the middle of our house buddy." Kankuro stated glaring back at him. Neji was about to snap back but Tenten stopped him. He relaxed himself and stood back.

"Look we're just here to see Hinata that's it." Naruto stepped in trying to keep the situation from getting any worse. Kankuro was going to say something but Gaara gave him a stern look which shut him up.

"Very well." Gaara stated giving everyone chills with his ice cold voice. It even gave Naruto the chills, and normally nothing would. But there was just something about this guy he knew he shouldn't mess with. He didn't know what it was but he wasn't going to take a chance.

"But Gaara-"

"No buts, this is what she wanted and we will stay out of it until necessary." he told his brother as he stood to leave. Kankuro huffed but stood also.

"Fine, but make it quick we're leaving in a few." he told them while stomping after his younger brother. Not to long after the two brothers left did Hinata come down the stairs with Matsuri. She gave a polite smile.

"Well this is a surprise, what can do for you?" she asked looking over the small group. Naruto smiled widely at her causing her to blush a little.

"We just wanted to come on over to make sure you were okay." he told her scratching the back of his head.

"But it seems like it wasn't really needed, since you look perfectly fine." he added.

"Well that was very sweet of you to think of me, but I am fine. I thank you though for worrying." she told him trying to contain her happiness.

"You're welcome I guess." he joked not knowing what else to say anymore. They just stood in silence for a few minutes before Tenten spoke.

"So, um what are you up to today?" she asked fiddling with her fingers. Hinata turned her attention to her before speaking.

"It's a bit hot today so we're going to go for a dip in the lake." she answered walking into the kitchen. The group was hesitant to follow but did anyway. When they got in the could see her and Temari packing a basket.

"That sounds like fun." Kiba said trying to add something to the conversation.

"Yeah it does, maybe we should go swimming as well." Neji added causing everyone to look at him.

"I guess, but don't you think that's a bit rude to just barge in on their activity like that." Ino spoke holding onto Kiba's hand tighter since the air in the room went still with tension.

"Yeah, I don't think they'd want us there anyway," Sakura tried to whisper to him.

"Look we don't have a problem with it, right Hinata?" Temari said finishing up the basket and turning to her younger friend. Who by the way was staring a bit too hard in the other direction.

"Hinata?" Temari asked again.

"Well it's not like it really matters to me. I mean it doesn't bother me if that's what you thought." she told them. They all let out a breath they didn't know they were holding.

"You sure Hinata, I mean we could always find another spot to go if it bothers you." Naruto offered, but she just shook her head.

"Really it doesn't bother me. Besides we're going to be seeing a lot of each other since most of you live pretty close to here anyway. We might as well try to get along with each other." she explained making sure she ended with a smile. They smiled back at her.

"Well alright then, I guess we'll go home grab our stuff and meet you guys up there." Naruto said not hiding his excitement. Hinata just nodded leaving to get her own things together.

Everyone finally made it to the lake after a short interruption from Hinatas work. Nothing major but she need to select the dates for her fan meets before she could completely relax. It took but a few minutes then they were on their way. Naruto and his friends hadn't made it yet so they took the time to get things set up and ready to go swimming. Hinata and Hanabi were already in the water by the time Naruto and the gang got there.

A sight they'd never thought they see was right in front of them. The once shy Hinata they all had trouble of getting rid of was splashing around in the water wearing a bikini. The boys had a hard time looking away from her until Kankuro cleared his throat. They turned to see him glaring at them.

"You were invited to swim, not to perv around." he told them before going back to his chair to sunbathe a bit. Naruto and the guys felt embarrassed from being caught. Along with the girls hitting them.

"Alright, let's have fun you guys!" Naruto said before running to jump in the water splashing everyone. Including Hinata who started laughing at him. Naruto surfaced but didn't notice a fish on his head. Once Hinata started then Hanabi, then everyone else joined in. Though he wasn't sure what they were laughing at it was good to see everyone getting along for the time being. Their time at the lake went along well without any real issues, though Matsuri would glare at them along with Kankuro. But nothing major. He was happy that it seemed like they were starting to get a bit closer to Hinata. He knew it wasn't going to be easy but he'd try his best, no matter what.

They ended up staying at the lake until late that night, it became a beautiful memory in his mind. Something he always craved for when he was younger and growing up. Finally things seemed to be going his way. And he just hoped they'd stay that way. Too bad he'd had no idea about the storm that was coming their way. Nor could he even imagine how big it would be.
