"That Gorouza…"

After spreading out the futon, Kuranosuke tsked with disgust.

Although they were the ones who asked for it, it was a foul blow of him to tell them such a frightening tale.

Heated up by this unreasonable anger made him even more irritated.

N-no it's not like he's scared! It's just merely an opinion! After all, that idiot girl got all pale in the face after getting scared by that story!

He forcefully persuaded himself.

It can't be that he's scared of being all alone in his room.

"Besides that guy has always been…"

By pinning the blame onto Gorouza, he managed to find away to unconciously drive him away from fear.

However the second he entered under the covers, he jolted from hearing a sound. He hurriedly turned around.

"W-what is it!?"

"Ku-kuranosuke-san? A-are you awake?"

"That voice. Idiot woman?"

Noticing that the noise came from Kasane, Kuranosuke rubbed his chest and sighed with relief.

Soon after a question popped into his mind. What was this woman doing in his room?

"What? You need something from me?"

"Eh, um… well..."

Kasane began in a refrained tone.

"C-can I sleep with you… tonight?"

"...HA! ! ? ?"

Kuranosuke explained at Kasane's unforeseen words.

Sl-sleeping, to-together meant.

"After hearing that story, I seriously, seriously got scared… So."

"A-aren't you an idiot!? Of course you can't do that! !"

Blushing bright red, he yelled at Kasane, who still stood behind the door.

Even though he couldn't see her expression behind the door, he could see her form shrinking down apologetically.

"Uu… You're right… I'm sorry. Then, I'll go off to Inuchiyo's place."

"Bah! Oi, wait you idiot woman."

Seeing her figure leaving, Kuranosuke hurriedly opened the door to stop her.

"Huh?"

Widening her eyes in response, she looked back at him with confusion. He unconsciously shrank back.

"W-what are you going to do if Inuchiyo also refuses?"

"I was thinking of going to Gorouza-san's place…"

She scratched her head as she gave out a forced smile.

Inuchiyo then Gorouza…

"Then what if Gorouza refuses?"

"U~n, anyway I will be going around asking everyone I know…"

"Are you an idiot! ! ?"

Kuranosuke flabbergastedly yelled.

In this castle all of her acquaintances were guys.

Unfortunately, there were no brave ladies that would wear such strange clothes and participate in the art of swords like her who would be acquainted with a group of hot-blooded young soldiers boys.

Inuchiyo and Gorouza might be alright, but the rest of them must be different.

If a young girl like her were to arrive with a request to sleep in their room, they would definitely have wicked intentions in their minds when they agree.

With a troubled expression, she worriedly glanced at him.

Kuranosuke heaved a heavy sigh.

"...F-fine. Just tonight…. y…. you can sleep with me."

"Really!?"

Filled with relief, she happily smiled at him.

Feeling somewhat self conscious by her smile, Kuranosuke frantically looked away.

"However! It's just for tonight! !"

"Yes! I'm fine with that!"

She happily nodded her head up and down in agreement.

"Don't start up any idle talk and go straight to sleep."

"Yes."

"You… can just use my bed to sleep on. I'll just sleep at the edge."

He surrender out the futon he just spread out, he then took only a blanket with him and went straight to the corner of his room.

"Eh! ? I couldn't! I'll sleep on the floor, so Kuranosuke-san, you can sleep on your bed! I was the one who intruded after all…"

"Idiot! As if a guy guy like me could sleep on the futon while a girl like you sleeps on the floor!"

"Gender doesn't matter here! Kuranosuke-san should sleep on the futon!"

"You sleep on it!"

"No Kuranosuke-san should!"

Both he and Kasane began bickering back and forth with incomprehensible arguments.

After a while, as the two stopped to catch their breath, Kasane tapped her fist in the palm of one hand as if an idea came to her.

"Then why don't we both sleep on the futon?"

"...Haaa!?"

Kuranosuke raised his voice at her her suggestion.

"Sl-sleep together… futon... you, mean."

Turning bright red, he began stuttering out his words.

No, impossible.

Of course not! He-he wouldn't with this idiot girl…!

"Whenever my brothers were scared watching a psychic's program, we would always sleep together like this~."

Kasane lackadaisically loosened her expression.

Kuranosuke was able to calm himself down from her remark and creased his brow as he looked at her.

"I'm not your brother you know…"

"Dear me no~, of course not. I know that much you know."

Now then, did this woman really understand him?

Judging by her behavior it seems that she doesn't see him as a man.

"Fine then… So troublesome."

Feeling stupid that he was the one getting all riled up, Kuranosuke reluctantly consented to her suggestion.

Turning his back from hers, he settled himself into the futon.

"Then, goodnight Kuranosuke-san."

Feeling her enter under the covers, he heard her voice from behind.

In a close distance that he couldn't tell whether or not they were touching each other, he desperately tried to hold down his heartbeat.

Although she was the one to suggest to sleep together, once she saw his large back, she keenly realized that it was different than her two younger brothers.

(He is a guy after all...)

Now feeling embarrassed of her actions, Kasane firmly closed her eyes.

However she now didn't have the fear like back when she was all alone in her room before.

The thought of Kuranosuke beside her set her to ease.

And so, she peacefully went to sleep.

Kuranosuke... pft... such a gentleman... Tsundere gentlemen... So cute. I think Inuchiyo would have totally agreed though. He'll just think of it as a fun sleepover. If I was in her situation, I would have totally grabbed my dog and cuddled up with him. Will have a bout of horrible allergies afterward... but it will be totally worth it. He'll keep away the ghosts for sure.
