Disclaimer: Hello again! I have translated another chapter. Man... I'm on a roll nowadays. Maybe at this rate I'll be finished with translating all of フクロウ's stories before the New Year arrives... As everyone now knows, all credit goes to Shingo Nanami and フクロウ. This story is pretty cute and I see it as a sister story to 'Fever'. So I hope everyone enjoys this chapter.
風邪
A Cold
Kasane x Nobunaga
Part One
"Nobunaga-sama! Enough already, please wake up!"
The time was already in the early afternoon.
Sado's voice roared at Nobunaga's chambers.
Inside of his bed covered up to his head, was a sleeping Nobunaga.
"As the leader of the Oda clan, you mustn't act like this!"
"Sado, you're annoying…"
Nobunaga croaked out a voice that seemed to have been pushed out from his abdomen, however Sado was already fed up by this behavior.
"That is enough!"
He then peeled off the covers.
"Nobunaga-sama…?"
Sado became surprised at the sight of Nobunaga with his brow more tightly knitted than usual and his harsh breath.
"Nobunaga-sama! What has happened!? Nobunaga-sama!"
"It's definitely a cold."
Kasane asserted as she place her hand on his forehead.
After that incident, Sado went out on a full-blown panic mood as if the whole world was ending, and when Kasane happened to drop by, she came to check out the situation.
"A cold!? Just a cold?! Are you sure about that, girl!?"
"I'm sure. But well, it might be best to call in a doctor and have him prescribe some medicine…"
Sado went on to order this to one of his subordinates.
He may complain all he wanted, but this person did care about the lord.
"..."
"Tono-sama, are you okay? Feel any pain? Do you want to eat something?"
As Nobunaga idly tossed around in bed, Kasane gently inquired him.
"Nobunaga-sama! How are you! Do you want something!? Do you feel pain anywhere!? Are you able to wake up! ! ?"
Pushing Kasane aside, Sado roared into Nobunaga's ear.
Kasane hurriedly plugged up her ears from the volume.
"...Sado… If I may."
"Yes! Say whatever you wish! !"
"Get out."
After driving Sado out, he was left with only Kasane in his room. He heaved out a faint sigh.
She felt a little bit shocked at how Nobunaga kicked out Sado and even felt a little bit sorry for the man, but if that kind of guy were to be around the Nobunaga now, he might just make the cold worse.
Well it can't be helped, Kasane closed off that topic in her mind and gave a quick glance at Nobunaga.
He never made a single complaint, but with this fever and harsh breathing pattern, he must be suffering.
"Here,"
She placed a towel that was soaked from the cold water from the well onto his forehead.
"Doesn't it feel good?"
"..."
For a moment, his hazy eyes glanced up at her before looking away.
"Want to eat something?"
"...I don't need anything."
"That's not good, even if it's a pain you have to eat something."
Whether or not he found it too troublesome to reply, Nobunaga failed to give her a response.
As if worried of his master, the hawk that Nobunaga kept as a pet, Tenrou, peered at him from the window.
"Then, make sure that you rest well, okay?"
Kasane began to stand up.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Eh? I thought of making rice porridge, but…"
"...Then go ahead. Don't just stand there."
"...But you were the one that stopped me…"
Kasane angrily resigned at his usual arrogance.
Even if she were to talk back at him, she wouldn't any response in return. So she left him be and walked out of the room.
TBC
Well everyone, that's it for now! And Thanksgiving break is almost over. So after this, my schedule is going to change back to normal. I feel pretty accomplished, translated about 7 stories in the past three days. I suppose this would be your reward for all the times I went on a mini hiatus because of school and work (lol).
I might upload the next two chapters tomorrow, maybe even tonight, who knows. So until next time, I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable day.
