Kenneth, Gwen's older brother out of nowhere stopped contacting home. That was unusual for someone like Kenneth who like Gwen was a model student. The longer Kenneth went without contacting his parents the more it worried his parents and sister.

So Gwen contacted Ben, pleading for him to help her find him. The only clue they had was a call from Kenneth before the phone had went dead. Tracking down the call to the last known location they made their way to Santa Mira.

Traveling around the small town the two began seeking out any clues they could find. Eventually they made their way to a garage where Kenneth's car was stashed.

Sure enough the two men posing as mechanics turned out to be none other than DNAliens. Once quickly disposed of Ben and Gwen began going over the map. Even if the map clued them in on DNAlien activity that didn't help them in regards to finding Kenneth. So that's when Gwen struck up the idea of hopefully retracing her brother's steps.

By the time they made it to the coffee shop it had begun to rain and no progress was made, disappointing the redhead. "It was a nice try Gwen. Don't worry we'll find your brother." He assured her with a comforting hug until the noise of something coming from a nearby vehicle drew his attention.

Gwen pulled back, adjusting her hair. "Did you hear that?"

Getting up Ben made his way to the origin of the noise coming from inside a truck. "Yeah, check this out." He said as he opened the back of the truck and as he saw what was inside his eyes narrowed.

It was a DNAlien who was bounded and shackled by a pair of energy cuffs and a cloth-like gag.

He looked back at Gwen before looking at the DNAlien before stretching his arm towards the alien, removing the gag from its mouth and after the alien was free to speak, Ben asked or more like demanded, "Start talking."

However before the alien could speak, his Omnitrix was beeping wildly. "Unknown DNA sample Acquired."

"That's new." Ben said, as he observed the Omnitrix more closely.

"Ben, you might want to look at this." And as he did, he saw something he recognized.

"This is from his favorite shirt!" He gasped holding the familiar material on his hand as Gwen handed it to him with a look in her eye.

It was a piece of clothing from Max's old Hawaiian outfit.

"The owner of this shirt, the one who did this to you, where is he!?" Gwen demanded binding the DNAlien with her Mana and as he refused to answer, she added more pressure.

"Max Tennyson," The alien forced out as he struggled, "He wanted to find some kid…"

"Where is he!?" Gwen repeated the demand already getting tired of this.

"I don't know," The DNAlien groaned out in pain, "He cuffed me and left me here."

"Not Max Tennyson, he can take care of himself!" Gwen snapped, "Where is my BROTHER!?"

"Th-the Hatchery!" The DNAlien finally answered before he was knocked unconscious.

Meanwhile within the Hatchery the DNAliens were also doing an interrogation of their own.

"Look I told you, I told you, I have no idea where my grandfather is; I don't know anything!" Kenneth Tennyson pleaded to the DNAlien that was standing in front of him while he was bound down to a wooden chair with tightly knotted and really thick ropes.

"I believe you," The DNAlien answered and when a question was asked the alien replied gladly, "I'm glad you asked Ken, I think the best way to get to know somebody is to walk a mile in their shoes."

The DNAlien walked to the table beside him in the four corner room they were in, and opened the box.

"What is that?" Ken whispered in fear as the DNAlien held some sort of thing on his hand that slowly began to make movements. "My shoes."

Outside of the Hatchery Ben and Gwen made their way to the front of the doorway. "Any ideas to get in silently?"

"Just hold on to me." Ben said as he wrapped an arm around Gwen's waist. With that the two of them disappeared in a swirl of wind.

Meanwhile, as Ben and Gwen made their way inside, the head of Max Tennyson rose from the green liquid flowing through a pipeline that was heading to the inside of the building. He had successfully infiltrated the DNAlien HQ.

After observing silently he noticed that there were few guards around and knocked out the ones that were on patrol and after he did, he made a mad dash for a door leading out of the area he was in and stumbled upon a narrowed hallway.

He ran and knocked out any other aliens he found before trapping them in the null void warp projector on his palm and as he reached the door he was looking for, he paused.

Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a plumber badge and swiped it over a panel giving him access inside and as he rushed in, he saw his grandson hunched over on the ground twitching and groaning in pain as he knelt on one knee.

He quickly rushed to assist his grandson but as he reached towards grabbing distance, he was electrocuted and knocked out and the grandson that was in pain stood over the body of his grandfather looking down at him with a blunt look in his one free eye. "We have him."

Once inside the duo were quickly swarmed by a small squad of DNAlien soldiers. Effortlessly they defeating the squad and went about tying them up when they came across the surprise of a mostly transformed Kenneth. "We gotta do something! We can't leave him like this!"

While Ben wanting to assure her that everything was fine he wasn't sure how to do that. What could he say? There wasn't like they had anything that could fix him or any inkling on the DNAlien's technology.

"Ben, creator Azmuth added a protocol to the Omnitrix to repair generic damages. It is within my capabilities to reverse engineer the genetic tinkering done to his cellular structure."

Gwen's eyes lit up with hope at this. "Well then Trixi, permission granted to do the repairs." Placing the Omnitrix next to Kenneth's face a bright green flash erupted from the device and before they knew it Ken was back to normal.

"Don't worry Ken," Ben knelt in front of his cousin, placing a comforting palm on him "Everything's going to be just fine."

"Nothing's fine," Ken responded holding his head in pain, "I captured Grandpa, handed him over to them, I-I couldn't stop; It was," His eyes looked up to meet Ben's before he continued, "It was like I was watching someone else." He ended it with a whisper and immediately, Gwen was beside her brother, silently making sure that he was okay.

Ben's eyes widened, meanwhile, at what he heard, and he asked just to make sure he was hearing things correctly, "They have Grandpa Max?"

"That was, that was why they took me." Ken said, "They knew he'd come for me, they needed him out of the way; their plan, their plan is horrible."

Ben snapped his gaze up to the ceiling of the roof and noticed how the infrastructure seemed right out of a monster movie. The appearance could easily be likened to the inside of a hideous creature. "Then we don't have time to waste. We have to find Grandpa Max and get out of here."

"Grandpa Max!" Ben rushed to aid his grandfather, spotting the old man tied with some red tentacle like stuff.

"You're a sight for sore eyes." Max smiled in relief before he watched his grandson freeing him from the bindings and when he was free, he gave Ben a Hug of appreciation.

Gwen, relived rushed to hug her grandfather and behind her, Ken followed with a glum expression on his face, knowing that it was his fault he was in this entire situation. "I'm so glad you're okay."

"Me too honey." He then took notice of Ken.

"Grandpa I didn't know what I was doing…I…" Stammers continued along his speech as he was obviously feeling guilty about what happened.

He received a hug instead. "It's okay."

The reunion was cut short as an announcement went off.

"Attention all personnel," It stated, "Initiate Project DNA, NOW!"

Rushing to the windows located in the room, they saw what was going on outside.

"They're shipping those things somewhere," Max responded, observing, as the hover cars picked up eggs that were stored inside the tub that contained the green liquid, "Putting together a DNAlien army…" he finished and as he watched the trucks moving once it was loaded, Max placed his palm on Ben's shoulder and looked deeply into his eyes, "Stop them Ben, these Xenopsythes must be destroyed! Go!"

Ben nodded as he and Gwen made way for the door but stopped and turned back to his grandfather and he asked, "What are you going to do?"

"What I have to."

Seeing that smile on his grandfather's face made Ben hesitate a bit before his decision was finalized and he rushed out of the room.

Ben and Kenneth watched in awe and approval at the destroyed trucks, courtesy of an angry Gwen Tennyson who took out said rage on the DNAliens around her.

Between Ben and Gwen, taking out the Foot Soldiers were rather easy, seeing as they were just as durable as regular human beings.

Max all the while was contending with a Hybrid commander. Max's inactivity for many years unfortunately meant he was far from his prime. Tried as he might the superior physical form of the commander resulted in the much larger commander to snatch up Max in his grip.

The other Tenysons arrived. "Let him go!" Kenneth demanded.

"Stay back or this one breathes no more." It said.

"Give it up. We beaten you. Your factories have been damaged beyond repair and your trucks turned to utter scrap. It's over!" Ben said.

"Fools more trucks can be here in a matter of hours and my DNAlien hordes." It trailed off as it gaze went to the glass window showing thousands of DNAliens waiting outside.

"Are already here." Ben finished.

"It ends now plumber. Nowhere left to run."

"I wasn't running chief. I was looking for the egg machine." Max said while pulling out something.

"A null void warp projector. You think you can imprison us all?" It asked.

"No but without the focusing lens this thing will do a pretty good imitation of a hand grenade. I figured it would take out half a mile." Max said.

"You wouldn't dare. You'd and your offspring would be destroyed."

"Gwen throw an energy field around you, and the boys and hold on tight and…" For a moment he paused before adding in a softer tone. "…be a good girl." He finished.

That was when he realized what Max was going to do. He couldn't stand by and let this happen. Not when he had the power to do something. He leaped forward and with a solid blow crippled the commander's fingers while quickly grabbing the back of Max's shirt and throwing him towards the others.

"Sorry Grandpa, but I've seen too many people I care about sacrifice themselves before my eyes while being unable to do anything." The beeping of the projector began to speed up. "Gwen."

Reluctantly Gwen erected up the shield.

"No! Don't do it, you'll be trapped in the Null Void!" Max tried to move but the barrier contained him. "Gwen, what are you doing?"

"Because if there's anyone who can pull off a miracle its him." Gwen's trust and belief in her partner unshaken. The bright blinding blue light that followed soon encapsulated the entire factory area. The light soon faded out leaving nothing but the remains of a destroyed factory and emptiness.

"No." Max said in mourning.

'Ben...Ben please...you're not gone. I know you're not.' Gwen thought and sure enough a small dimensional tear began to form. Leaping out of it was Ben who barely stayed on his feet as the tear closed behind. "So yeah...score one for op eye abilities right?" He asked only to be tackled by Gwen.

"I knew...I just knew you wouldn't..." So consumed with emotion she couldn't get the words out. Ben merely hugged her response. For now everything was going to be okay.
