Ben and Gwen found themselves attending one of Julie's tennis games. It was a tie game with Julie just having scored an advantage and as she heard the applause, she turned and gave Ben a small wave with a smile. "Why haven't you asked her out yet?" Gwen asked him.

"You really think that's the best idea?" Ben answered Gwen as he waved back to Julie.

"It'll help put an end to people's interest in the nature of our relationship for one. Second of all mister ladies man, you two have been dancing around each other long enough."

"She still thinks all those adventures I told her were stories and that I'm going to be a fantasy writer." He said as Gwen began playing with his hair.

"Now Ben, you have no one but yourself to blame for that. Besides Julie is a much better prospective then some of your other interests."

Ben couldn't help but groan. He was never going to hear the end of the Kai and Rebecca thing no matter how much time passed.

"You may be a bit weird and a pervert," Ben sent her an annoyed look. "…but you're also funny, and sensitive, sweet and well-mannered when you want to be."

And at that moment Julie had scored a goal and won the game.

"Go ahead Ben, now's your chance." Gwen pestered before pulling him down the stairs.

Gwen had been right, Julie was more than happy to accept his request for a date. That was how the two of them found themselves on the pier at the amusement park with a surprising lack of people.

"Slow night."

"Yeah this place is usually packed on weekends," Ben said, hands in his pockets.

"That's good," Julie said softly, slowly hugging Ben's arm and looking him in the eyes. "We have the whole place to ourselves." Ben grinned as he caught a whiff of some kind of minty perfume. Well, considering Julie had dressed up in a violet skirt and black dressy top it made sense that she also did a bit more to spruce of for this date. Thankfully she wore low heeled shoes meaning they wouldn't have to deal with the headache of high heels in an environment that didn't call for it.

"Well it makes for a more relaxed atmosphere and we don't have to worry about crowds. This will definitely prove to be interesting."

And then the Omnitrix started beeping.

"What's going on?" Julie asked loudly to be heard over the beeping.

"Sorry, new watch." He said as he tried to muffle the sound by hiding it behind his back. "Be right back." He said as he left to investigate what was going on.

"Alien presence detected nearby."

Ben looked around for said alien. He didn't see anything, but just in case. If the alien wanted a fight, it would have to do so away from Julie.

A blob was slithering towards him and the sound of the beeping. The blob looked at the him and saw that he had a plumber symbol on him. The blob turned to the bumper car attraction next to it. Perfect! The blob slithered over to it and took over the nearest car.

The beeping finally stopped. 'This could prove troubles…gah damnit.'

Suddenly the screams of the bumper car attraction alerted him A green and black bumper car jumped over the rails of the ride and stopped in front of Ben, snarling and looking pretty damn menacing. Its set of ugly green teeth resulted in Ben retreating.

He kept jumping back as the runaway car forced itself off the ride. It drove closer and closer only for Ben to surprise it, causing a slab of earth to rise up and flipped the car causing it to go flying into the air and crashing into a lamp post. With a loud bang, the monster car was flipped over and badly injured. Heading over to the damaged remains of the car Ben noticed it was red instead of black and green. 'Could that have been a Galvanic Mechamorph?'

"Ben! Ben where are you!" Julie's calls for him jolted him from his thoughts. Well, whatever that thing was he hoped that it would leave him alone, at least for the rest of the evening.

Running back he hastily deflected any questions she was going to ask by suggesting they get some cotton candy.

Because the place was rather vacant it always took a bit of time to find the employee who was supposed to be at the stand and operating the rides.

Noticing Julie was being quiet Ben decided to help the mood by shoving some cotton candy in his mouth and smiled, showing off his blue teeth. Julie giggled as she pointed out one of the rides she wanted to go on next. When Julie finally slowed down, they were in front of the Jet Fighter, a ride that looked like a jet plane and that bounced and swerved in place to make the people inside sick to their stomachs.

"This looks fun," Julie said, pointing to it.

"Good thing we only ate cotton candy. I'm up for a little jolt." He frowned when he saw the black and green circuit board design overtaking the Jet Fighter.

"What in the world." Julie said as she saw what was happening. They stood and watched as the Jet Fighter broke free of its metal restraints and reared its pointed head at them, its wings spread out like a bird.

"Julie we got to go, now," Ben stated as he grabbed Julie's hand and led her away. The jet tried to go after them, but was still stuck to one of its restraints. It tried to break free, leaving enough time for them to get away.

As they hid behind one of the concession stands, Julie tried to calm her nerves. "Ben, please tell me that was a hallucination from the cotton candy."

"Julie…look…I…" He tried to explain as the Omnitrix started beeping again.

"I know Omni, hold on." Ben grumbled to his watch. He tried to look for a suitable alien to fight the Jet Fighter and turned to Jetray.

But then the earth shook, settling the two of them off balance. Ben slammed down the dial anyway, turning into a… crustacean?

"Did you…Ben, what on earth is going on?"

"A sea based life form against the likes of an aerodynamic enemy. Pah quoting limericks against a buffoon has a greater chance of sparking insight then this time of match. At least this form is mentally gifted. I shall take up the name Cerebro."

When the thoughts had suddenly entered her mine Julie was understandably a bit freaked out.

The head of the crab crackled with electricity, making Julie take a step back for her own safety.

The Jet Fighter finally freed itself from its confines and reared its singular gaze on Cerebro. The Jet Fighter flew into him, knocking him off the ground. When Cerebro got up, he glared at the fighter. "Now I am most decidedly miffed." He opened his head, revealing his brain, and shot lightning at the fighter, which dogged them all. "What the deuce?" Cerebro cried, shocked.

That was when the jet decided to use its green lasers against the crab. Cerebro literally thought up a shield, which protected him from the blasts. Unfortunately, one of the blasts veered off in Julie's direction, to which Cerebro used his mind powers to create a mini shield around her, levitating her from her spot and putting her somewhere safe.

By then Cerebro had effectively shot the possessed fighter out of the sky and into the water with a well-placed lightning bolt. "And good riddance to you!" the crab said happily before scuttling away. It went into an unoccupied port-a-potty and turned back into Ben. He then left in search of Julie.

Ben found her near the Ferris wheel, at the side where the water was. She turned to face him, her expression both stunned and missed with worry.

"Julie I'm sorry I…"

"This entire time," she cut him off. "…all those stories and jokes we shared. All those little adventures you went on about. They were…they were…true?" she whispered the last part as if she didn't know if she could trust her own voice.

Julie let out a gasp as the features on the boy in front of her changed. Blue eyes with unusual birth marks.

"Ben?"

That was the name wasn't it. That was the name of his other self. The name of the account he used.

"Everything I ever told you Julie was the truth. I am Uzumaki Naruto and I am Ben Tennyson, to culmination of both of them. "

Julie lapsed into silence trying to process everything she learned. She let out a scream when the ground below her seemed to explode. The back of her head slamming against the seat, rendering her unconscious.

"Julie!"

Suddenly as soon as it had come the creature began retreating with Julie. He had to suppress his urge to try and instantly destroy it. Julie was in danger and there was no telling what the alien wanted. He was going to need and try and find some sort of weakness and opportunity to get her away before he fought it.

The creature made its way into the woods.

When Julie woke up, she could make out the woods in front of her. She could feel the grass beneath her as she lay there, aware of the severe pain at the back of her head. Julie brought her hand to the back of her head to check for blood. No blood, but a bump.

As her vision cleared she took notice of towering machine in front of her. "You. What do you want with me!?" But the machine gave no notice. It didn't even move.

"Julie!"

She turned to have noticed it was Ben. Sneaking away from the monster she made her way over to him.

"You okay?"

"Just a bump, I'm fine."

Ben looked at her with more concern. "He hit your head pretty hard." He reached out to see the wound only to get his hands slapped away.

"I'm fine," she dismissed. She knew he didn't mean any harm, but this whole situation had been one rather emotional roll…she had to suppress the urge to groan. Add carnivals to the list of things she wouldn't be enjoying for a long time. "So um, isn't this the part of the story where you do something?"

The monster suddenly reared its head over them and bleated, "Ship… ship!"

"I think it's trying to tell us something," Ben deduced. To emphasize its point, the monster nudged a seat at Ben, forcing him closer to Julie for his own safety. The monster then pointed the seat to the right, with had a red glow in the distance. All the while, the monster was bleating, "Ship…ship…ship!" It no longer sounded like a monster.

"Ship…" Ben said, catching on. "You brought us out here to find that spaceship!"

In response, the black and green design on the machine dripped away, leaving it a simple carnival ride. The Omnitrix started beeping again. They ran towards the red light, and saw that in fact it was a spaceship, only completely destroyed and with an alien trapped behind an angry red force field.

"Isn't that a Galvanic Mecamorph?" Julie asked as Ben looked at her with surprise.

"You remember the species name?" he asked, surprised that Julie had committed that much of his stories to memory.

"D-Don't look at me like that. Those emails you sent me were interesting reads when I had nothing to do." She replied, a faint blush painting her cheeks.

Ben turned back to the alien just in time to see it get electrocuted. It cried out in pain, and Julie instinctively tried to help him. Ben held her back by putting an arm in front of her.

"That energy field will fry you," he warned.

"We have to do something," she said, looking at the alien.

Then she noticed the beeping alien words right above the alien. "Is that a countdown?" she asked, pointing to it. Ben was about to answer, only to hear a strange purring sound and something rub his leg. It was the green and black blob, only it looked harmless and, to Julie, cute.

"What? A little fella like you was the one causing all that trouble?" Ben asked the thing.

"Ship?" the little thing inquired.

"Okay, Ship," Ben decided. He knelt down to hear what it wanted to say. The thing turned into a mini replica of a spaceship, only to explode. Ben instinctively put up a hand to protect himself, only to realize that the creature was fine and the explosion had been faked. "Just once it would be nice if there wasn't a self-destruct sequence to worry about."

Ben made his way over to the energy field and walked through it. He grabbed the device that was creating the force field and pulled it off the ship, electricity buzzing around his hands. Launching it into the air with an earth plateau he watched as the force of the jutsu launched far in the sky where it exploded like a massive firework. Thankfully the distance meant the powerful energy waves that blasted outwards could do no damage to the planet or anyone nearby.

With that taken care of Ben the giant metal restraints holding him down."You okay?" he asked the alien.

"Well, yes," the alien said in his prim and proper voice. "As I was saying as I lost consciousness, I created this syndicate, the one you call Ship." He gestured to Ship, who was bobbing his head up and down like it was agreeing with whatever his master said.

"You set it off to the nearest Plumber for help. It was reading the energy signature off the Omnitrix! That does explain what Onni's warning earlier. She was keying me in to the distress signal."

"Wait so you two are not Plumbers?" the alien asked exasperatedly.

"No but if you want we can help you." Julie volunteered. She always did have a noble and helping streak to her.

The alien stopped working and looked at her earnest face. "Well, yes, I suppose I could need a hand or two."

About a half hour later, Ben and Julie were on the roof of the spaceship, connecting large metal tubes into deep little holes. "That's the last one," Julie said happily as she and Ben set the tube in place.

"I, uh, guess this is probably the worst date you ever had," Ben told Julie as he couldn't keep the embarrassment out of his voice.

Julie smiled as she leaned closer into the tube. "Are you kidding? This is one of the best dates ever!"

Ben raised an eyebrow. "Really? Including the part where you got knocked out and kidnapped?"

"Okay, I admit that part sucked bad, but this date was definitely interesting," Julie admitted, her eyelashes fluttering. Her face was very close to Ben's, and he leaned in…

"I'm all done!" the alien called out, interrupting the two teens. More than slightly disappointed, they climbed off the ship and onto the ground, where they found the alien already in his ship and ready for liftoff. As the two of them stood off from the side, Ben noticed that Ship was with them.

"What about this thing?" he asked the alien in the spaceship. "Doesn't he blorp back into your body or something?"

"Blorp." The alien sighed. "That's not how it works. Besides, you and he have had such a wonderful bonding experience. He's yours now." Before Ben could protest, the alien closed the hatch he was talking through and lifted his spaceship off the ground. Ben and Julie closed their eyes to protect them from the wind, and when it finally died down, the spaceship was gone.

After he left, Ship kept rubbing Ben's leg like an affectionate pet. "He's kind of cute," Julie said. "Are you going to keep him?" Ben looked at Ship, who began panting like a dog.

"Sure, why not." He said as he leaned over and began to pet ship. They began their trek out of the woods. "Well, I can get you home provided nothing screws up my selection." He said as he glanced down at the Omnitrix. "Look, Julie, again, sorry for everything. "

"Aliens. Super Heroes. Secret identities. It's a lot to take in and when I think about it I've come to a decision. I have no interest in dating Ben Tennyson."

Well, he supposed he should have seen that coming. The next thing he knew, a soft peach flavored kiss was being laid upon his lips. The moments lasted a few seconds, but it was spine tingling nonetheless. Julie pulled as a grin adorned her features. "Ben on the other hand, I wouldn't mind getting to know better or should I say keep on continuing to know?"

Tonight hands down turned out to be an amazing night.
