After her sudden encounter of Nobunaga and his new wife, Kasane left herself absentmindedly glancing up to the sky.

The sun had long set and even with the appearance of the moon, Kasane remained unchanged.

"Katane, what's wrong?"

"..."

As she was blatantly acting strange, the three idiots worriedly looked at her.

Though they asked what happened, due to her heart being elsewhere, she didn't return a single clear reply back to them.

Even when she did answer they were all irrelevant replies, it was as if none of their words went through her head.

"...That reminds me, about Hayashi-sama; I saw him, Nobunaga-sama, and the princess together."

Kuranosuke turned to Gorouza and Inuchiyo as Kasane perked up a bit.

Not noticing her reaction, Gorouza replied back.

"She was a beautiful princess, but… judging by our lord's reaction she still has no intentions of marrying her… so that's already established."

Gorouza gave a wry smile to this troubling fact.

Once more she felt this squirming feeling in her chest.

"We might be able to spend time with our lord huhー."

"Our lord might be inviolable, but he is a man after all…"

Listening in and out of their conversation, she thought how she didn't wish to hear this.

...Though their lord has state he had no intentions of bringing in a new wife, he had no reason to turn down that beauty.

It's quite natural to change one's mind.

"..."

Trying to throw off this murky feeling, she shook her head side to side.

"...Ah~, geez~! This isn't like you Kusanagi Kasane! !"

Bringing up her usual enthusiasm, she slapped her cheeks with both hands with a huff.

The three idiots confusingly glanced at her sudden movement.

"Anyway! ! Now I don't need to pretend that I'm Tono-sama's lover anymore! Everything's okay now!"

Gripping her hand into fist she fervidly told herself.

If he were to take in that person as his new bride, there was no need for her to spoil the engagement.

Which means that she managed to avoid being chased by that tyrant all day before becoming his accomplice.

Isn't that a good thing?

However her heart still felt murky and her body felt dull.

Maybe it'll take a while before she gets better.

"Yep! Now I don't need to listen to that idiot Tono-sama anymーー"
"Who's an idiot."

"...To-tono-...sama! ! ?"

Kasane turned around.

When she did, she found Nobunaga, drawn up to his full height, in an unsavory mood glancing down at her.*

Due to his sudden visit, Kasane unintentionally tried to cover some distance away from, but he grabbed onto her arm to prevent her from doing that.

"Wai… let."

"That woman is already here. It's time for your entrance. Let's liven up things up and demolish it to the ground."

"Eeh!?"

Kasane owlishly opened her eyes at his words.

Nobunaga gazed down curiously at her response.

"What's with that surprised tone?"

"Eh… no, cuz. Y-you're going to turn down that beautiful woman…?"

Hearing her hesitantly say that, Nobunaga glanced down at her in shock.

"So you've already seen that woman?"

"Eh!? Ah, no! Well…!"

Flustered, Kasane's gaze swam around the room; realizing that she couldn't escape from this cross-examination she faintly bowed her head. She awkwardly avoided his gaze as she quietly spoke.

"...Earlier...I saw her with Tono-sama…"

"Ah…"

He replied back as he remembered.

His grip around her arm didn't relax.

"So…"

Kasane opened her mouth as if she were to say something more. She tried forming the words, but nothing came out.

She didn't feel so well.

...Wasn't her mood a bit down as well?

"...What are you so annoyed about?"

He curiously tilted his head to the side.

"I-I'm not annoyed~"

Blushing, she glanced the other way.

No matter how you think about it, she wasn't annoyed.

"..."

At the same time, Nobunaga has a sudden epiphany and evilly grinned as he brought his face closer to hers.

"W-what."

"...You're jealous aren't you."

If she wasn't annoyed by that woman, then surely this must be it.

As evidence for that Kasane then turned bright red and immediately became upset.

"J-jealous!? W-who is!?"

"Hou…"

Nobunaga unexpedly replied as he cheerfully smirked while staring intently at her.

"Even so you looked quite dissatisfied."

"What's with that face."

Kasane began to pull back as he, greatly entertained by all of this, began to close the distance between them; she tried to push him away as hard a possible.

However, Nobunaga took no notice of it.

"I see, so you're jealous…"

"I told you it's not itー!?"

Kasane protested as Nobunaga proceeded to ignore her previous arguments.

Her face was steadily getting warmer.

"So you don't like it when I associate myself with other woman…. Isn't that adorable."

"You're wro-..."

"...Then shall I marry that woman? It might not be a bad idea."

"..."

She gulped her words down.

But it was a response that was easy to read.

...Interesting.

He wanted to mock her, to tease her even more.

"I-it's irrelevant to me. ...S-so why don't you do whatever you want?"

It was obvious she was being stubborn. Was this way of her covering things up?

"Then if I'm not needed, I'll get going!"

Just as she began to run out of the room, he caught her thin arm and halted her to a stop.

"You thought I'll let you escape?"

With a wide grin, he whispered to Kasane.

Surprised, her eyes widened.

"Come."

"Eh!? Wai-...!"

Completely disregarding the three idiots, Nobunaga pulled Kasane b her arm and left the room,

The three of them could only blankly stare after them as if a storm had suddenly blown by without a warning.

Well off she goes! Nobunaga is sure enjoying this I guess this is her indirect confession after all. I guess it's Christmas Day for some people huh? Because of college I lose track of the calendar a lot. Ahahaha...
