Kasane x Nobunaga

Part Three

"What shall I do… This is awkward…"

Saying this, Kasane held the newly born baby in her arms.

Just before one of the maids cajoled her into looking after the child.

"I wonder when will the maid return…"

Muttering to herself, she glanced down at the baby.

Tucked in, comfortably asleep, the adorable child made the kid-loving Kasane instantly melt into a pile of fluff.

"Ehehe… So cu~te. The cheeks are so squishy~."

She poked the baby, softly enough to not wake him up.

She can feel the bouncy softness under her fingertips.

"...What are you doing."

At the same time, she heard a deep voice behind; Kasane turned around.

She found the master of the voice Nobunaga standing there with a large crease across his forehead.

Without loosening his stiff expression, he glanced at her face and turned his attention to the small creature bundled up in her arms.

"Ehehe… Another maid entrusted me with their child."

Remembering that she met Nobunaga before in a similar fashion, Kasane wryly smiled.

"U-um I'll properly do all my chores! So… just for a little while, may I look after this child...?"

With a smile that was meant to smooth things over, Kasane appealed to Nobunaga.

After switching his attention to her and the baby he then flung out a remark, "Do what you want."

"Yay! Then we'll be together for now!"

Kasane cuddled with the child, rubbing her cheeks against his.

He was still a babe that couldn't support his neck. She monopolized those supple cheeks.

Now that she thought about it, she couldn't stand around in this cold place any longer.

She needs to bring him to her room and wrap him in a blanket or else!

"Then Tono-sama, I'll excuse myself…"

"Oi, wait."

Stopped by Nobunaga, Kasane curiously titled her head.

"My room has a furnace. It's better than your cold room. Bring it along with you."

"EeeEEeeEEeehh!?"

"What?"

"W-what kind of turn of events is this!? I thought Tono-sama hated children! !"

"...If you don't want to, that's fine with me."

"No, no! I'll gratefully take up to your offer!"

Babies are just so soft. So squishy. I'm always afraid to hold them though, since I feel like I might drop them. Which is why I always make sure I sit down first. Ahahaha...
