America Honey
"So, when were you going to tell me about you taking the police exam?" Sam asked as she took a seat on the bench next to Jason, just outside of the airport. The newlywed had just arrived back to Willows Creek from their two week honeymoon.
"What?" Jason asked as he spread his arms on the back of the bench and turned to face his wife, "How are we getting home?" He asked as he tried to change the subject.
"Kristina is picking us up, she can keep a secret. I thought we could lay low for a few days before we are bombarded by my family, sort of a late wedding gift to my husband." Sam smiled sweetly as she placed a quick peck on his lips.
"Who told you about the police exam?" Jason sighed.
"I read it on my Dad's twitter." Sam announced, "Apparently Kristina and Molly set him up an account." She explained as she pulled out her phone and showed it to Jason, "He is welcoming his favorite son to the police department, as his deputy." Sam read as she showed him the screen.
"Before the wedding, I took the test on a whim. I thought it was about a time I figure out what I am going to do in this town, now that I am a married man and all, I can't just up and runaway now."
"So, your choice was to become a deputy with my Dad?" Sam questioned, she had not really put any thought into what Jason would do. She had always thought that he would just help out at the bar, like her brother and the guys did.
"Your Dad actually made the offer and I couldn't come up with anything else I would do. I mean Johnny's been talking about opening a mechanic shop and that could be cool, but I don't see that happening anytime soon."
"He is the best bar tender I have, you better not be trying to change his mind." Sam slapped Jason on the chest just as a police car with flashing lights pulled up to the curb.
"Samantha Scorpio-Morgan." A female voice called over the loudspeaker as the window rolled down to reveal Kristina in the driver seat.
"Kristina." Sam smiled as she opened the door, so she could pull her younger sister into a hug, "Pop the trunk." Sam said as she pulled away and moved to the curb, so she could place the bags in the trunk.
Jason just stood at the curb with his mouth open as he watched Sam move and act like this was an everyday occurrence, "So, we are just going to get into the car."
"Yup and you are in the backseat." Sam smiled as she closed the truck and slid into the passenger seat.
"How did you get your Dad's car?" Jason asked as he slid into the cop car.
"Oh, there is so much going on at home; you are not going to believe what you missed." Kristina laughed as she pulled away from the pickup and headed towards the highway.
"Are Maxie and Johnny back yet?" Sam asked as she pulled a bottle of water out of her purse.
"No. Johnny asked me to book their plane ticket from Florida because they don't have good WiFi." Kristina smiled as she merged onto the highway, "That was two days ago, I booked them a ticket to Willows Creek in North Dakoda."
"You have made me proud." Sam laughed as she turned to Jason.
"That's not even the best part." Kristina interrupted, "Our wounded gazelle did not rent the RVs, he bought them."
"What?" Jason asked not even believing that Nikolas could be capable of something like that.
"It gets better; he has now moved out of your house and is staying in both RVs."
"They aren't parked on our lawn are they?" Jason asked, "How did my sister even let him do that?"
"No, Mom is letting them stay in the front yard. Emily went along with it for the first two days and then got pissed and choice to move in with Mom."
"Dad is actually letting all this happen?"
"Oh, he called Nikolas a Mama's boy and is now living at your house with Molly and I." Kristina answered as she sped up in an effort to beat the light as it turned red.
"Nikolas is living in two RVs at your parents' house, Emily is living in the house, Mac, Molly and you are now staying with us and Johnny and Maxie are in North Dakoda." Jason summed up.
"Robin and Patrick are still on vacation."
"Yeah, Patrick said that he was going to be another few days."
"When did you speak to Patrick?"
"We are couple best friends, so of course I kept in contact with him." Jason covered.
