American Honey
"Are we going to eat here? I mean it's the perfect opportunity for Wounded Gazelle to get back at us. I am a fetus to be concerned about now." Patrick rambled to Sam as he slid into the small table of the motorhome. Patrick and Robin quickly jumped ship and joined Maxie, Sam, Jason and Johnny in Nikolas's RV.
"Emily ordered it." Sam smiled as she slid next to him and Jason followed her into the booth.
"What is going on between the two of them? Emily is staying at the house with Mom and Dad, while Nik is living in one of these." Robin asked as she waved around the RV, "Are they going to split up?" She added as she slid in across from Patrick.
"Your brother better get his act together." Jason muttered.
"Why couldn't Emily be the problem? She knew what she was getting into when she married my brother, she needed to stick by him." Sam countered.
"Have you looked at your brother?"
"He is my twin, we shared a womb for nine months."
"Maybe you should have absorbed him then. Would have saved us a lot of trouble."
"That can happen in real life?" Patrick questioned amazed.
"Sharks do it all the time." Jason shrugged.
"Well I am a human not a fish, sorry," Sam frowned as she looked at Jason.
"Well on the topic of crazy things." Patrick smiled, "I've got a question that has been bugging me since I watched that True Blood marathon with Maxie last week." Patrick announced.
"The question Patrick." Robin replied in a forceful tone.
"Do vampires use their teeth to make a puncture wound and then suck or do their fangs act as straws?" Patrick asked as he looked at the three who had their mouths wide open in shock.
The group was unable to answer as Nikolas walked into the RV with two large trays of food. "We lucked out by having the fun dinner group." Nikolas smiled as he walked to the kitchen area and set the trays down.
"Shouldn't you be having dinner with your wife?" Jonny asked as Sam handed paper plates to everyone and Maxie made sure that everyone had their Gatorades.
"My wife and I are having some communications issues at the moment and she choice to eat with my parents and younger siblings." Nikolas answered as he opened the tray that had the pasta and then moved to the one that had chicken.
"Kristina said that you have been sleeping in her and Emily has been staying in the house." Maxie commented as she took a sip of her drink, "I think you are about to break the record of the shortage marriage in the family."
"That might not be true." Robin disagreed, "Mom and Dad might have the record."
"What are you talking about?" Sam asked as she grabbed the pasta and passed it around the table, after she put some on her plate and then Jason's.
"Uncle Robert let it slip out at Christmas."
"That was over a year ago and you kept it to yourself that long." Maxie exclaimed.
"I didn't think that it was important."
"Robin, just tell the information before you give your sister an aneurysm." Patrick advised as he grabbed the pasta.
"We all know that Grandmother is not a fan of our father, when they were younger she tried to get Mom and Dad to break up. In an act of rebellion Mom and Dad got married when they were eighteen to prove that Helena couldn't stop her." Robin explained.
"She is such a hypocrite." Maxie yelled, "She is always lecturing me about being reckless, yet she went and married Dad."
"Anyway, Helena found out and forced them to get an annulment. That was two weeks after they had got married."
"Emily and I are not going to split up." Nikolas disagreed as he took a seat at the table, "She is going to come around."
"Well, I have something that might help you with that." Maxie smiled as she pulled a folder from her purse and handed it to her brother, "It came to the house and the address said that it was from Grandmother."
"I am thinking that we might have to move." Jason muttered to Sam, "I am afraid that if we stay around these couples we're going to turn into them."
"We are not going to end up like my brother because you think before you do something." Sam retorted as she took a bite of her chicken.
"Grandmother bought me a house as a wedding present." Nikolas exclaimed as he read over the deed, "All she did was give you some china. I guess that means I am her favorite." He added as he glanced at Sam.
"You were bound to be someone's favorite." Sam laughed.
"I told you it would all work out and Emily is now going to be happy that we have these RVs. That way we can get to our new house. Since I am never going to fly again since they always lose my bags." Nikolas rambled as he stood, "I am going to tell her about it."
"That was easier than I thought it was." Maxie smiled once her brother had left the camper.
"You are not really going to send your brother to another state are you?" Patrick asked not sure how he felt about this.
"I gave you amazing footage and the house comes with a built in security cameras all over the house and they are already hooked up."
"Nikolas does seem to be a favorite among my followers." Patrick agrees as he pulled the beer out from under the table where he had been hiding it.
