So for you making wait for months but I was busy with a story that I had to finish. With that done, here is the next chapter.
Chapter 16: Investigating the suspects
After learning about three possible suspects. There names are Utah, Argentino, and Tarbo. From what Richard, Littlefoot and the team learned from Brown Claw and his pack that they are familiar with them because they have been trouble in the Valley. They are told the residents hate them for spreading hate and anger against the Valley. They also heard stories of them planning to take the Great Valley by force.
For Richard and the team, they have a got possible suspects, they suspect they might have something to do with the murder of Sharptooth's mate and their hatchings, but don't have any links or hard evidence against the three. They need forensic evidence to connect them to the murders. Richard also went through the notes and remembers the story where Sharptooth killed a female Longneck by accident, now Richard suspects that the murders between Sharptooth's mate and his hatchings and the murder of Doc's first love interest before Dara came into the picture are connected.
Richard suspected that Utah and Tarbo were once Sharptooth's friends and Argentino was Doc's friend. But when Doc and Sharptooth became friends and ran away from their parents for good, they felt betrayed and decided to form an alliance to get revenge against their former friends.
" Guys, I think I might know what happened years ago." Richard said.
" What do you got?" Miller said.
" I think Utah, Argentino, and Tarbo, murdered Sharptooth's family, and I believe they framed Sharptooth for the murder of Doc's first love interest, I believe they killed both females and a couple of hatchings as revenge for betrayal." Richard theorizes.
" You think it is foul play? " Miller asks.
" I am sure, but we need forensic evidence, I think we need to find the three and question them." Richard says, as he turns to the team. " Littlefoot. You, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, and Ruby go talk to Argentino. Me, Miller, Chomper, Brown Claw, and the pack will talk to Tarbo and Utah."
The team splits into two.
Doc and Dara from afar decided to follow without getting noticed, Sharptooth followed us without us knowing. He toke a peak and saw his dead family here as he then realize we are investigating his past. Sharptooth then turned his attention and followed us without us knowing it.
Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie Spike, and Ruby, along with some members of Brown claws pack head to where Argentino.
Soon they reach a clearing and found Argentino, one of the three suspects, as they head for him.
They get his attention.
"Excuse me?" Ducky says, soon Argentino looks at the group.
" Hello, who are you?" Argentino says.
Littlefoot goes to Argentino.
" Are you Argentino?" Littlefoot asks.
" Yes who are you?" Argentino asks again.
" I'm Littlefoot, and these are my partners, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, and Ruby. We want to talk to you." Littlefoot said.
" About what?" Argentino asks.
" Do you know the lone dinosaur?" Ducky asks.
" There are many lone dinosaurs in this world." Argentino says.
" Does the name Doc mean anything to you?" Ruby asks.
" Doc? Yes I know him. I haven't heard his name in a long time." Argentino says.
" Were you a close friend of his?" Cera asks.
" Me and him were really close friends until he ran away from his nest." Argentino says.
" How did you take it?" Spike asks.
" I was worried for him and I wanted to know where he went, and I even want out to look for him." Argentino said.
" Were you upset or angry he left without saying a word to you?" Cera asks.
" I was a little upset that he left and decided not to tell me anything about it." Argentino says.
" Did Doc ever mention that he had another friend?" Littlefoot asks.
" Yes. I was introduced to a Sharptooth which back then were called Big Biters. His name was Sharptooth, my guess Doc and Sharptooth formed a friendship until Sharptooth went mad and started killing dinosaurs left and right when he got older." Argentino says.
" Any reason why they would leave?" Ruby asks.
" I heard rumors that Doc's parents and Sharptooth's parents advice their sons, to break off the friendship saying they will end up fighting each other when they reach their adult age. My guess they didn't take the advice really well that they decided to leave for good." Argentino said.
" Did Doc ever mention about having a lady friend, like a female longneck, that he really liked?" Littlefoot asked.
" Not that I am aware of, no." Argentino says.
" Have you met any friends, when you left to look for Doc?" Ducky asks.
" I have met two Sharpteeth, in this valley, one is a Sharptooth named Tarbo, and a Fast-biter named Utah." Argentino said.
" How is your friendship with them?" Spike asked.
" We are good friends. At first it was a rocky start, since I was a longneck, and they were Sharpteeth, but we soon over time developed trust and mutal respect for each other." Argentino says.
Cera then noticed a scar on Argentino's side.
" Where did you get that scar on your body?" Cera asks.
" Childhood accident." Argentino said.
" Okay thank you. Are you doing anything later on today?" Littlefoot asks.
" No, I am free right now." Argentino says.
" I want you to come with us to the Valley, we were are trying to solve a cold case, and we need you to take a polygraph exam to eliminate you as a suspect." Littlefoot says.
" Okay. Lead the way. " Argentino said.
Littlefoot and his friends return to their place with Argentino in tow.
Meanwhile a little far away from Littlefoot and his friends, are Doc and Dara watching them. Doc then sees Argentino.
" Argentino?" Doc says out loud.
Dara looks at Doc.
" Doc do you know him?" Dara asks.
" Yes. But I haven't seen him in a long time." Doc says.
" They are heading back to their place." Dara says.
" Let's follow them. I want to know what is being said." Doc said.
Doc and Dara follow Littlefoot and his friends, and Argentino back to their place.
With Richard, Miller, Gemma, Chomper, Brown claw, and his pack head to where Utah and Tarbo are at.
Soon they see a Sharptooth and a Fast-biter talking to each other in the Sharptooth language.
Richard decided to get their attention.
" Excuse me. " Richard says in the Sharptooth language.
Utah and Tarbo look at the Sharptooth and fast-biters.
" May we help you?" Tarbo asks in Sharptooth language.
" Are you Utah and Tarbo?" Miller asks in Sharptooth language.
" Yes we are. Who are you?" Utah asks.
" I'm Richard, this is my partner Miller, this big guy behind me is Chomper, and this is my mate Gemma." Richard said in the Sharptooth language.
" How can help you?" Tarbo asks in Sharptooth language.
" Do you speak leaf?" Chomper asks in Sharptooth language.
" Yes we do. " Tarbo says in Sharptooth language.
" Then let's talk in leaf." Chomper said.
" Okay. What can we help you with?" Utah asks.
" Do you know a Big biter by the name of Sharptooth by any chance?" Gemma asks.
" Oh yes, we remember him. Big bad Sharptooth that called himself 'The Walking Terror'." Utah said.
" 'The Walking Terror'? What's that?" Miller asks.
" It was a childhood we used to play, the rule was you had to defend the title, while you fought for it the title or defeated your opponent to keep it." Tarbo said.
" So the game is to help make you a better fighter." Richard said.
" Yes, and you had to play fair, Sharptooth played fair, but there were times Sharptooth wanted to change the rules of the game and win. But we allowed him to get away with a few rule breaking, but most of the time, we stopped him on the rules that can't be broken. " Utah says.
" What are the rules?" Chomper asks.
" One, you must win the fight fairly, you get two chances, if you fail, you lose the title and you are lose the game. Two, don't get to rough in the fight. And three, the most important rule of all, never kill for sport or your own ends ever." Tarbo says.
" Okay. Very interesting. We're you both the only friends that Sharptooth had when you were hatchlings?" Richard asks.
" Sharptooth had a friend that was a longneck, I believe his name was Doc." Utah said.
" How good was the friendship between Sharptooth and Doc?" Miller asks.
" Oh they were inseparable. They were really close to each other. Sharptooth even named Doc as his Gralnuk. It means best friend in Sharptooth. They both trusted each other." Tarbo says.
" Did they stay with you guys?" Richard asks.
" Sadly no. They ran away from their nests, when they both got into an argument with their parents. " Utah says.
" Did they say what the argument was about?" Gemma asks.
" Sharptooth's parents said they tried talking to Sharptooth about his future friendship with Doc, they wanted him to break the friendship off, our guess is that Sharptooth didn't take it so well, that he and Doc ran away without telling us they were leaving." Utah says.
" How upset were you when you found out about this?" Chomper asks.
" Very upset, that was our friend, that decided to leave us without telling us. We even went out to look for him years. Then we came here met a Longneck named Argentino and built our friendship with him and completely forgot about Sharptooth until you came and brought him back up again." Tarbo said.
" Just one more question. Did Sharptooth ever mention that he has a lady friend or a mate, and had any hatchlings?" Miller asks.
" No, he has never told us if he had any one he liked." Tarbo says.
" We are so sorry to bring back bad memories, but as you know, we have cold crime case, we are trying to solve and we would like you both to come to our place to take a polygraph exam to eliminate you both as suspects if you are willing to take the exam." Richard said.
" Anything to help you out to solve a case you are working on." Utah says.
" Okay follow us." Richard said.
As the Sharpteeth group head back, Sharptooth was watching them and he saw his old friends from a long time ago. Sharptooth then started to wonder, when he saw his dead mate and hatchlings in a hanger, and begins to fear the worst, but he puts it out of his mind and starts to follow the group back.
So the two groups have made contact with Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo. So far, they seem to be cooperating, but for how long? What will the polygraph exams reveal? Find out next time on Undercover.
