Here comes the next chapter of Undercover.
Chapter 17: Polygraph Exam.
The two groups met up again, along with Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo.
About a few feet away, Doc and Dara, and also a yard away Sharptooth are watching the group, even Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo. Doc and Sharptooth both remember the three former friends of theirs. They remember that their former friends, like their parents warned about their friendship.
Doc and Dara noticed Sharptooth and Sharptooth noticed them. But neither one moved, they keep watch at the group and decide to listen in on what is going on.
Richard and Miller talk.
" So who should we start it?" Richard asks.
" I think we should start with Tarbo, Then Argentino, and save Utah for last." Miller says.
" We need a independent person, to tell what is the truth and what are lies." Richard says.
" I will talk to Brown Claw, he will give us an independent operator." Miller said as he left.
Richard and the team got the equipment ready, Brown Claw sent Sabre. Sabre is one of Brown Claws best members of his pack, he has incredible skills of telling if someone is telling the truth or lying.
Richard will be asking the questions.
Chomper will be with Richard when Tarbo is being questioned.
Littlefoot during Argentino's questioning.
And Miller and Brown Claw during Utah's questioning.
Tarbo got pads that go on his body and head.
Richard explained to Tarbo, Argentino, and Utah that they have answer yes or no when being questioned. And said they will be questioned separately.
After getting everything ready, the exam begins.
" Is your name Tarbo?" Richard asks.
" Yes." Tarbo says.
Sabre examines the polygraph results, he gave a look that says, ' He's telling the truth'.
" Do you know Sharptooth?" Richard asks.
" Yes." Tarbo answers.
Sabre looks at the results, and gave the 'truth' look.
" Do you know Doc aka the Lone Dinosaur?" Richard asks.
" Yes." Tarbo said.
Sabre gave the 'truth' look.
" When Sharptooth and Doc left did you meet Argentino before coming to this Valley?" Richard asks.
" No." Tarbo said.
Sabre looks at the results, then his express changed, he looked serious, as if saying, 'That's a lie.'
Richard decided to turn up the heat a little.
" When you decided to look for Doc and Sharptooth, have you ever found them?" Richard asks.
" No." Tarbo answers.
Sabre gave a 'false' look.
" Did you know that Doc and Sharptooth had mates or love interests, and/or hatchlings?" Richard asks.
" No." Tarbo says.
Sabre gave a 'false' look.
Then Richard gave one last final question.
" Did you and your planned a revenge against Sharptooth and Doc for the betrayal of leaving you guys behind and forming a new friendship with each other?" Richard asks.
Tarbo hesitated a little bit, then he gave his answer.
" No." Tarbo said.
Sabre looks at results and gave the serious 'false' look.
Richard then knew that Tarbo just lied to him on the most important question of all time.
Richard decided not ask about the murder of Sharptooth ' s mate and their hatchlings because he wants to have forensic evidence before he reveals to Tarbo, Argentino, and Utah that it about her and hatchlings.
Soon the polygraph exam ended. With Chomper escorting Tarbo out, Littlefoot came in with Argentino, same questions as before, Argentino told some truths and lies, and Utah's polygraph also produced results.
After all of the Polygraph were examined, Richard decided to give the news to the three.
" Well guys, I wish I could say that you are clear, but unfortunately that is not the case here." Richard says.
" What are you saying?" Utah asks.
" You three all failed your Polygraph exams." Richard said.
" Are you serious?" Argentino asks.
" I am afraid so, since you have failed the polygraph exams, you will not be eliminated as suspects, and since this Valley has a council that has records of you all breaking their laws, we will be following up and we will be getting orders to get biological material from you, unless you are willing to give any for us." Richard said.
The three stood there and gave looks that said, ' We refuse to give any biological material to you.'
" Okay, then we will have to get orders from the council, then get biological material from you then. You are free to go for now." Richard said.
Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo left the HQ And disappeared.
Richard see's his team and begins a dressing his team.
Meanwhile Doc and Dara, and Sharptooth were listening to the group from afar.
" How it go?" Petrie asks.
" They failed." Richard said.
" So Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo killed Sharptooth's mate and hatchlings to get back at Sharptooth and Doc."
Doc and Sharptooth were shocked to hear the news that their former friends, but they had trouble taking in the information because they never thought their old friends would betray them. They then stay quiet to hear more.
" It is a strong possibility, but we need forensic evidence to tie them to the murders." Richard said
" So we go to the council and get orders for Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo to comply with us on allowing us to take biological material and other evidence." Chomper says.
" We should head out." Littlefoot says.
" Yes. Let's go team." Richard said.
Richard and the team go to the council to get orders, then after they left Doc and Dara, and Sharptooth then head toward each other.
Then Sharptooth spoke to Doc.
" Good to see you old friend." Sharptooth said in leaf.
" Good to see you too old friend." Doc said back.
The two Longnecks and Sharptooth stand face to face in complete silence not knowing what is going to happen.
Then Sharptooth said, " If it was our former friends that betrayed us and framed you, then we should go after them."
" I agree with you, but let's wait until we know for sure that they did this. Let's let the young adults solve the case, then we show ourselves to them." Doc said.
Sharptooth sees Dara.
" Is she your love interest?" Sharptooth asks.
" Yes she is." Doc said.
Dara was in shock and in bless, that Doc admitted his feelings out loud in front of her and in front of a possible former enemy/ friend.
" You both will no doubt be great for each other." Sharptooth said.
" I don't mean to be rude, but we do have a job to do, is watch the group, and learn more about the case." Dara said.
" Dara is right, we must keep moving and keep listening. Let's go." Doc said.
For the first time in a long time, Dara, along with Sharptooth and Doc aka the Lone Dinosaur are walking side by side with good feeling that old bitter relations have been thrown aside, and a fire of the old friendship, is being burned again, a renewal of friendship is underway.
Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo have failed their polygraph exams, and are now suspects, Richard and the team head out to get orders from the Valley Council to get the forensic evidence need to bring Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo to justice. Meanwhile Doc and Sharptooth are slowly starting to rebuild their friendship that was destroyed years ago. How will it go out? Find out next time on Undercover.
