Chapter 22: A happy ending.
An hour has passed since the Battle of the Great Valley became a major victory. Battle casualties are finally counted.
Surprisingly the casualties are extremely light. The allies and resistance suffered only One dead and eight injuried, two hospitalized for treatment for Anthrax, and One M2 Bradley destroyed.
The enemy army and air force suffered heavy loses with an estimated 1,000 dead, and an estimated 3,000 injuried, and 10,000 captured and 300 T-72's and BMP-1's destroyed.
The news of the Battle of the Great Valley of a United Flat tooth and Sharptooth Allied Force defeated a Flat tooth and Sharpteeth Extremist Army. Soon other Valleys started sharing the news as they cheered at the success of the Great Valley and her new ally, Paradise Valley.
As the rest of day continued, the Military Vehicles are lined up as a hugh parade was underway. First in the lead were the residents that defended their home, followed by Allied Force with their Longnecks, Threehorns, Swimmers, Spiketails, Sharpteeth, and Fast Runners. Littlefoot and his friends and their families are in their groups during the Parade. Then Richard and Miller lead a group of Fast-biters with guns as they marched, as Tanks and other military vehicles follow. The residents standing on the side cheered.
Then the Flyers of the Great Valley flew over head, followed by the Allied Forces Air Force made out of Flyers and Flying Sharpteeth. Soon the Helicopters flew overhead, then the military transportation aircraft, followed by the fighter and bomber aircraft.
Then a group of fighters planes came together for an Air Show as they did air stunts.
Soon night fell, the Allied Force launched fireworks into the sky to celebrate their victory alongside the Great Valley residents.
Doc and Sharptooth saw the celebration, but couldn't attend because they were being treated for Anthrax, Dara was checked and she was cleared, but she stayed close by next to Doc.
Doc and Sharptooth while recovery from Anthrax and their injuries, Doc and Sharptooth began rebuilding their friendship that was destroyed by Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo. This time they will not interfere with the Friendship and Doc and Sharptooth were talking and susprisingly laughing together like they used to do years ago.
Everything was going so well. Doc and Sharptooth for the past few days while being checked out, recovery from the sniper attack from Utah and their fight with Argentino and Tarbo.
Doc has been some tree stars by Littlefoot and his friends, while Sharptooth got meat from Chomper and Richard from the Mysterious Beyond.
As the days pass, Doc and Sharptooth recover and helped each other. Sharptooth has decided to show how Doc can recover the energy that he lost over the years.
Doc and Sharptooth have trainned together as partners side by side. Littlefoot and Chomper were watching from afar they are smiling that two former enemies that wanted to fight to the death are now doing everything together as good friends, like their friendship never changed over the years.
Soon a plane arrives, it is a Boeing 747. It lands at the makeshift airport that was made a week ago to prepare the Allied Air Force planes.
The Boeing 747 then slows and parks. Then the stairs came, out came a Fast-biter, the Paradise Valley dinosaurs that fought to defend the Great Valley recognize him as one of the Paradise Valley Council members.
Mr. Threehorn and Bron met up with the Fast-biter at the bottom of the stairs.
The Fast-biter spoke first.
" Hello there, my name is Assad. I represent the Fast-biters of the Paradise Valley Council. I am here to represent all of the Council to discuss future Great Valley - Paradise Valley relations and help the Great Valley build a trust between Leaf tooth and Sharpteeth." Assad said.
" Hello there Assad. My name is Bron." Bron said.
" You can call me, Mr. Threehorn. " Mr. Threehorn said.
" We would love to thank you for sending your army and air force, to help us protect the Great Valley against the enemy that tried to destroy us." Bron said.
" After learning about the attempt attack by Argentino, Utah, and Tarbo, thanks to Richard, Miller, his mate Gemma, your son Littlefoot, your daughter Cera, their friends for finding out the truth and stopping the attack and gather intelligence on the attack on the Great Valley, and we called on allies nearby, in the Mysterious Beyond, leaf tooth valleys and Sharpteeth valleys, and we got all our brand new, newly acquired military equipment that we have found and stored for this kind of military operation to save your Valley." Assad said.
The three continue to talk, after awhile of negotiations and friendly talk, an agreement has been reached.
Some of the Paradise Valley fast-biters and other dinosaurs that have knowledge of military equipment and military tactics will live and train in the Great Valley to help the Great Valley build a new army and air force.
Sharpteeth of all kinds will be finally be allowed to live in the Great Valley, with conditions to follow the new rules of the Great Valley.
Littlefoot and Chomper are happy to finally see their dream finally come true.
After a week in the Great Valley, most of Allied Force went back home to their respective Valleys, and the Paradise Valley dinosaurs including Assad headed home, and a majority of the Military equipment going with them. Thankfully the Allied Force donated some their military equipment to help the Great Valley prepare for future threats. On top of military equipment, they also donated emergency vehicles for when a real bad disaster happens.
After week of of screen and tested, Doc and Sharptooth have been cleared of Anthrax, their friendship has grown, they proofed that no matter what in the past.
Doc and Sharptooth met with Richard, Miller, and the team that solved the crime and stopped further lives to be lost. Littlefoot and Bron are talking to Grandpa and Grandma Longneck.
Doc gave Sharptooth a look that said, ' I think you also owe someone an apology'.
Sharptooth knew what he meant he came to Littlefoot, Bron, Grandpa and Grandma Longneck
" Look I know that it probably be too late or have been too long to even say this, but I want to say that I am very and truly sorry about your mother, your daughter, and your mate. I was in a rage for years never not even stop to think of the damage I had done to you and your family amd for deeply hurting your mother in law and your grandmother. I hope if you all can forgive a big old Sharptooth like me, so I can move on and start over with my life." Sharptooth said with regret.
It was a bit hard for Grandpa and Grandma Longneck, and Bron, and even more harder for Littlefoot.
Grandma and Grandpa Longneck and Bron were saddened when they heard their daughter and his mated by Sharptooth's teeth and claws, but they had to forgive for them to move on.
Littlefoot had think for over an hour, because he was there and witness it along with Cera to watch Sharptooth attack her, and to watch her die right in front of him, he had to grow up without a mother figure in his life, but that mother figure was his grandmother and when Bron was not around his grandfather toke that role.
Soon Littlefoot then knew he had to forgive Sharptooth, because if he didn't he would live the rest of his life with regret and dispair.
" I have never thought that in my life that the Sharptooth that killed my mother would one day come to me to ask for forgiveness, I would have thought it would be crazy. But as up today, I want to say it is time to let go of my past and let my mother rest in peace. For that I forgive you for what you did at the time. As I now see a new Sharptooth that is friendly and more willing to listen to reason then rush onto action." Littlefoot said with a smile.
After a long time others of the team also forgave Sharptooth, so did all of the Great Valley residents.
About a month later, the scars of war were gone, the new Great Valley Army and Air Force are now armed and ready to take any new threats that if any should rise again to cast a dark shadow over the Great Valley, they will be ready to fight. The Great Valley wall is heavily defended with cameras and heavy machine guns and missile lsunchers.
At the Great Valley main entrance, security was increased ten fold, the required of guards is now up to 10.
The guards are there to check new dinosaurs that want in the Great Valley. All Sharpteeth and Fast-biters have to be screened to see where they had been and also into their past history. If anyone of them had a major criminal felony on their record, they are not allowed in, but are allowed to live in the Outskirts in the Mysterious Beyond near the border with around 200 fast-biter guards to make sure they don't break the law.
If a dinosaur has had a criminal record and wants in must proof they are not going to be a threat to the Valley, by following the strict Flattooth-Sharptooth requirements to pass.
So far only 20 former criminal dinosaurs have passed and we're finally allowed in.
The Great Valley also developed it's first interspecies council made up of all races together that lead the new Flattooth and Sharptooth valley. Richard introduced a election system to vote on who will be the new council members.
Bron and Topps aka Mr. Threehorn won election to stay as Longneck and Threehorn representatives of the council. Ms. Swimmer became the new Swimmer representative, Ms. Flyer won the spot as a Flyer representative, with Doc's help and support Sharptooth was elected as the Sharptooth representative, Hyp's father was elected as a Fast Runner representative of the Great Valley and Miller was elected as a Fast-biter representative of the council. Sadly there was no Spiketail to be elected yet on the council. The current council was to last for two cold times (aka two years) after the new council will over and will last a long time until new generations take over.
Soon other residents were given positions to control civil and military positions, even in defense.
Then three night circles (aka three months) ago, on the last night of there lives, Grandpa and Grandma Longneck got to spend with their family and said their farewell being happy, Grandpa and Grandma Longneck before saying farewell got to talk to Ali and she made a promise to look after Littlefoot for them. The next day, Grandpa and Grandma Longneck passed away over, they died peacefully while they slept.
Bron and Shorty were upset, but the one that was upset the most was Littlefoot, he had lived and spent most of his life with them, when his mother died.
While Littlefoot was sad for the lose, he was however happy that Grandpa and Grandma Longneck won't be alone, his mother will be there with them for he knows that a reunion was underway.
Richard and Miller gave the now deceased Longnecks a proper funeral. Everyone got to say what they liked about Grandpa and Grandma Longneck, even Mr. Threehorn himself, in his speech he expressed that while he was the voice of opposition, he respected them as not only a herd leaders but also as good friends of his, and will always remember them as his first Longneck friends.
Soon the bodies of Grandpa and Grandma Longneck are then put on two flatbed semi's as they are been sent over as food for the Sharpteeth and Fast-biters residents.
Over the next two years, the council is once again up for election, Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Chomper, Ruby, and Richard were in. And for the first time since the council was formed, Spike was tapped into joining the council, the Great Valley voted and approved Spike becoming the first Spiketail representative of the council.
Over the years, Littlefoot and his friends came up with news plans and created new entrance into the Great Valley, they drafted a plan to create a road and railway tunnels to carry both food and passengers into the Great Valley. It took four years to build and blast. When the construction was over, tunnels were opened and more security guards were put in place.
Doc and Sharptooth both came commanders of a Longneck and Sharptooth units of the Great Valley Army. They taught the your youths what to do and how to fight.
Littlefoot and Ali settled down, had a nest and also had a hatchling, a grey Longneck son named Greyfoot. Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper, Ruby, and Richard have also settled and created a family of their own.
Cera had a white Threehorn girl named Moon.
Ducky had a daughter, when she talked she would talk for a long time. Richard jokingly said, " She sure does quack a lot." Ducky the smiled and named her daughter Quacky.
Petrie had a son named Dactyl.
Spike had a daughter named Spunia.
Chomper named his son after him, Chomper the second, aka Chomper Jr.
Ruby had a daughter named Crystal.
Doc and Dara also settled down and had a hatchling of their own. They had a son named Dino.
Sharptooth went without a mate for a year, then finally Sharptooth found a mate a Seal - back Sharptooth (aka Spinosaurus) named Meg and had a boy and girl of their own named Rex and Angel.
Richard and Gemma also had a son and they named him Richard the second, aka Richard Jr.
Two years later the group of children that grew from small hatchlings were listening to Richard tell the story of the case that changed history.
" And that kids, is the adventure that leads to what is happening right now." Richard said.
The children said their, 'Ooooh!'
Then Greyfoot asks, " Is it all true Richard?"
Richard gave off a small laugh and says, " Oh yes, and it was very tense time of our lives."
Dino then spoke up, " I am very glad that Dad and Sharptooth finally became friends."
Rex adds, " Me too."
Angel says, " Me three."
All the children agreed.
" It wasn't easy, but I am glad that we finally got it done." Richard said.
" Feeling the children's heads with our experience?" A voice said from behind.
Richard knew it was Cera, he felt like he got caught.
" Well, I just um..." Richard couldn't get the word out.
Cera soften her expression.
" I know Richard, but it is getting late, we don't want the children to stay up too late."
Cera turned to her.
" Come on Moon, time for bed."
" Yes mommy." Moon said.
Soon everyone left as well, even Dino, Rex and Angel left together to go to their nests.
Richard lead his son, Greyfoot, and Chomper Jr back to theirs.
Just as they head back, they saw a shooting star and they made a wish that the peace would never.
Unknown to all, the shooting star was the one meteorite that was going to Wipeout life on the earth and end the Dinosaur era, but the meteorite missed the planet, when everyone saw the bright light, but when the bright disappeared everyone that was already went back to sleep and those getting to sleep as went to sleep.
Deep down in Richard's mind, since the meteorite missed the earth, the timeline is forever altered and the earth is now for a dinosaur planet for many years to come, but it ain't just a normal dinosaur planet, it is a planet with dinosaurs that have some technology and weapons from the former futute human world, as Richard believes the dinosaurs with benefit it for centuries.
Richard took Greyfoot, Chomper Jr home to their nests.
Then at their nests Richard Jr looked up at his father.
" Daddy, what was the bright light?" Richard Jr asks.
Richard himself looked at his son and smiled.
" Nothing to worry about, go to sleep son." Richard said.
Richard Jr fell to sleep. So did Richard and his mate Gemma. Meanwhile in his dream, Richard is in white space, soon three Longnecks came forward, Richard immediately recognized them as Grandpa and Grandma Longneck they smiled happily at him, as the next Longneck came to Richard.
" Thank you very much for protecting and looking after my son." The Longneck said.
Richard realize that the Longneck in front of him is Littlefoot's Mother.
" Your Littlefoot's Mom." Richard said.
" Yes I am, and I am very proud that you fought for what you believe was right and brought Flattooth and Sharptooth together." Littlefoot's Mother said.
" Thank you very much." Richard said.
" There is at least a few more that want to thank you as well." Littlefoot's Mother said.
" Uh who?" Richard asks.
Soon a female Sharptooth and her small hatchlings, and Doc's former love interest came forward.
" Richard, the former human turned Fast-biter, I Razorclaw, my hatchlings and my friend want to thank you for avenging us and giving us justice that we have been waiting for years to get." Razorclaw said with a purr.
" Your welcome, Me and my team wanted to get to the truth and justice to those that did you wrong." Richard said.
Soon a bright light came.
" It is time to go, thank you Agent Richard, continue doing good by being the best council member of the Great Valley." Littlefoot's Mother said.
They said their good byes as Richard woke up from his dream.
It is now sunrise, in the Great Valley as everyone wakes up.
Richard Jr wakes and goes to see and play with his friends, while Richard now know widely as Richard Sr, headed to council meeting place to talk about business and do friendly talk with each other as they make plans for the future.
