~~~ Masamune ~~~
The household was awake. No one could sleep with this much tension in the air, not to mention the commotion except the newlyweds who were dreaming sweetly in their private room away from the main house. Everyone had gathered into the main hall with Lord Shingen at the front. His face was expressionless but his brow was creased in a clear sign of anger.
Masamune sat eerily quiet next to Kojuro letting off the aura of anger the likes that even Kojuro had never seen before. You could see it seething off him like steam, his teeth gritted and his face stone cold. Tsukiyo was next to him with her head in his lap, a clear look of sadness and defeat on the wolf's face. She had always protected Mego, then at the one time it counted the most she had failed her. She let out a whine of sadness at her carelessness to notice signs of danger. Masamune instinctively moved his hand down and stroked her head in comfort.
"Tsukiyo, it's not your fault..." he said barely audible to anyone. Tsukiyo twitched her ears and nuzzled Masamune's hand. She was sensitive to his pain as well and felt the need to be close to him to ease some of his pain.
Motochika sat in the corner comforting Nana who, despite being all tough like, was distraught by the sudden disappearance of one of her best friends. Nana and Motochika had got well acquainted last night after Mego introduced them properly. Motochika's face was expressionless but he too was giving off an aura of anger whilst remaining by Nana's side as if he needed to keep her protected as well.
The room was mostly silent as a lone guard came into the room.
Keiji sat in the corner brooding. He had always said he never wanted to see Matsu and Toshi under any circumstances. Seeing the way this was eating away at Masamune only confirmed his conviction even more. He balled his fists up in anger. How could anyone do this? On such a beautiful night like this? When two lovers were finally able to declare their love for each other. If he ever got his hands on the man responsible… That's if the one eyed dragon doesn't get them first he thought.
"Lord Shingen, should I wake Yukimura and Akihime?" asked one of the guards. Lord Shingen shook his head left to right. Now wasn't the time to ruin such a magical and special moment in life.
"Leave them. When the sun rises I will go and inform them. Let them enjoy their night." Lord Shingen decreed. The guard bowed and moved on.
As the guard left, suddenly the doors to the left side of the room were thrown open and Lady Hikari stepped through. She hadn't bothered to compose herself. Her face reflected her emotions clearly for all to see. Anger. She immediately turned to Shingen with her head held high emitting a sense of authority.
"Tell me what has happened." She stated. Lord Shingen nodded his head.
"Mego has been kidnapped." He said simply.
"By whom?" Lady Hikari demanded.
"We don't know. They came in undetected. It was most likely a ninja as only a ninja could sneak past the security to get in and then leave with her undetected." Lady Hikari put her hand up to her chin, looking at the ground in thought. Who would take her away? She pondered. And then it came to her.
"No it couldn't be…" she said aloud though she had not intended to do so. Lord Shingen looked up at her.
"What is it?" He asked sternly. She looked back at him, fear in her eyes.
"It never occurred to me." She said shaking her head.
"The unmarked banners. The unnamed soldiers. The attempt to kidnap me. It all makes sense now." Lord Shingen waited for her to finish but showed a quizzical look on his face.
"There is only one man who would want Mego more than anything. There is also one man who would do anything to obtain what he needs. To do so he would pay handsomely for mercenaries and sellswords to do his bidding." She said looking at Lord Shingen. He gasped as his name came to his lips.
"Matsunaga Hisahide." As the name left his lips the room fell silent.
Masamune upon hearing the name went from silent anger to rage in an instance. He stood up gripping his sword by his side.
"THAT BASTARD MATSUNAGA I'M GOING TO KILL HIM" he yelled shaking the doors behind him like he'd just ferociously roared.
"Calm down one eyed dragon" Lord Shingen said sternly like he did to his cub occasional.
"Calm down?" Masamune spat, gripping his sword tighter preparing to fight. Kojuro immediately stood up and put a firm hand on his shoulder.
"Enough." He said. Masamune looked at him full of rage and anger as if he'd bite his head off for stopping him. However, he was met with a just as angry look on Kojuro's face. He understood then that his anger was of no use here.
"Tch" Masamune said before turning around and punching the door to his right enjoying the feeling of it giving way and flying into the dark night. Kojuro sighed. At least he will calm down now he thought. Masamune then looked at Shingen, his dragon aura surrounding him.
"Then what are we going to do old man?" He asked, squinting his eye as he assessed Lord Shingen's response.
Lord Shingen sighed. He knew nothing he said was going to appease Masamune.
"For now, we must wait for Sasuke to bring intel back so we knew where they have taken her." He said. Masamune looked at him seething with anger.
"So we are just going to sit here?" He spat, angry at his powerlessness.
"LORD MASAMUNE." Lady Hikari yelled at him like he was a naughty child giving her his undivided attention.
"I understand you are upset right now. I am too. But we can't do anything when we don't know where she is." She said calmly. Masamune, no longer able to hold back let his rage run wild.
"You'd just stand here and let them do what they want with her? Coward!" Masamune yelled at Shingen as he swung a left hook at his face. Shingen lifted his arm up and deflected the blow effortlessly staring down expressionlessly at Masamune. This infuriated him even more. He began to swing violently at Shingen hoping to let all his frustration and anger out on him. Shingen deflected all his blows with ease catching his last two punches in both hands. He stood there looking at Masamune before softening his expression.
"I know you are angry and want to do something but it is pointless when we don't even know where she is or who has taken her." He said sternly. Masamune looked at him and turned away trying to hide his emotions as he accepted his wise words gritting his teeth. Shingen recognized the deep emotions Masamune held for Mego and respected this as probably the most emotion he has ever shown in front of people other than Kojuro. Masamune's resistance weakened and he dropped his hands to his sides. He stood there, head slunk so his face couldn't be seen.
Masamune was frustrated and angry. He felt the need to break everything because he couldn't do anything. He was helpless and he wasn't even crippled this time when Matsunaga took something of his. The great one eye dragon was powerless and he was angry, angrier than he's ever been in his life. Without warning, he quickly turned to his left and punched right through the other door that was next to the one he'd already disposed of. Unsatisfied he kicked it successfully sending it flying into the courtyard outside. As quickly as a fire catching light Masamune went on a rage, breaking doors and flinging people away from him who rushed to stop him. He punched Motochika square in the nose causing blood to start gushing out of it. People started stepping away from him in fear of receiving his wrath. This went on for minutes before Kojuro sighed and went behind him and using the hilt of his sword knocked him out cold. As he slumped to the ground with a thud Kojuro bowed and apologized to Lord Shingen.
"Please forgive Lord Masamune. He does not mean any harm." He said apologetically. Lord Shingen dismissed it with a wave of his hand.
"There is no need to apologise. I too would destroy everything in sight if I had the most important person taken from me and yet there was nothing I could do." He said curling his hands into fists, raising one of them to his eye level and studying it.
"He is suffering more than anyone of us will ever know." Lord Shingen continued. Many lowered their heads in the room acknowledging the pain Masamune must be feeling. Lord Shingen looked directly at Kojuro.
"I know it is unbearable and cruel but he must be patient. We need more information before we can launch a rescue mission. I must ask you to try and contain him for now." Lord Shingen declared before allowing Kojuro to take his lord to his room. Kojuro bowed respectfully before picking up his Lord. Motochika came over and helped him and together they took him back to his room. Motochika exchanged a sad look with Kojuro.
"Maybe Keiji was right all along." Motochika said. Kojuro looked at him in surprise.
"Hm?" he asked.
"That having someone to love and protect is better than fighting some war." He let out a laugh. Kojuro nodded in agreement, thoughts of his own wife coming to mind.
"Having someone to protect, to come home to makes us stronger." Kojuro said looking up at the night sky and smiling.
~~~Mego~~~

The ground was cold and hard when Mego came around to consciousness. The smell of metal and hay was strong in the air as Mego began to regain her senses. As her consciousness became more stable she could feel the hay stabbing into her body making her uncomfortable. She grunted as she managed to lift her chest and head off the ground. She felt a throbbing in her head as she attempted to open her eyes. Clearly she'd been knocked out by something strong. It took her a few blinks before she could open her eyes as the light was blinding. When she finally managed to open her eyes, she was confronted with straws of hay and a stream of light coming through the window. She closed her eyes and put her hands down and pushed her body up from the ground and attempted to stand up. As she pushed her feet up to stand she felt the ground sway beneath her. She immediately held her squatting position on all fours and she waited for the swaying to settle. Once settled she brought herself to her feet and observed her surroundings. She was clearly in an oval shaped room with just the one window and surrounded by metal bars that fashioned her prison. As she observed further she noticed the steel bars surrounding her enclosure went straight up and curled at the top where they met in the middle connected to a thick metal ring that was connected to the roof. And then she realised why there was hay on the ground. Her prison was suspended. Mego felt a sinister aura behind her and she turned abruptly shaking her prison along with her sudden movements. Eyes stared back at her from the darkness, eyes of pleasure as her captor stared at his prize.

"I finally have you my beautiful dove." He said as he stepped out from the shadows. Mego gasped, her eyes wide in fear as her eyes met his face. She remembered his face and those eyes, those eyes that looked at her like she was some precious exotic treasure. Those eyes had been forced away from her under the protection of Lady Hikari. Her heart raced as memories swarmed her mind. Running from him madly in the woods, her lungs burning from lack of oxygen, fear and adrenalin fuelling keeping her away from his greedy hands reaching for her in the dark. If it hadn't been for Lady Hikari's soldiers, she would have been one of his treasures on display years ago. And after years of thinking she was safe, there he was in front of her and she was officially part of his collection of precious treasures.

"You" she scowled glaring her eyes are him.

"My, my, haven't you grown into a fine young dove" he said looking at her like some trinket.

"Won't you sing me a song?" He asked a hint of humour underlying his words.

"Why would I ever sing for you?" Mego barked back unwilling to participate.

"Why, if my dove won't sing, my dove will starve" he said adding a meticulous laughter at the end. Mego glared at him as she pondered the thought. She knew she was going to need food to survive but to bend to his whim made her sick to the core. Still, her best chance at surviving would be to indulge him.

With a sigh, Mego relaxed a little exasperating all the built up tension in her body.

"And what would Lord Hisahide, have this dove sing?" He laughed meticulously as she gave into him.

"Why a love song of course." He said laughing even louder before leaving Mego to sing by herself.

~~~ A few hours later ~~~
Mego sat humming in her cage whilst her guards enjoyed the soft and sweet sound of her voice. They leant against the wall, completely at ease as they knew Mego couldn't escape the cage even if she wanted to. The steel used to make the cage was twice as thick as a normal prison would be made of. Hisahide wasn't about to let his treasure escape her enclosure.
Hisahide had made sure Mego kept singing by only allowing her food or water if she sang for it. It was degrading. She didn't want to sing like this. She wanted to sing when she could enjoy the company of good friends. She recalled a few duets with Keiji on summer nights with Aki and Lady Hikari. Keiji had a beautiful voice but made a wonderful tenor. They used to laugh and smile a lot on those summer nights. The memories made Mego smile and then suddenly made her feel lonely and cold. Being more sensitive to the cold she noted there was no blanket. It was chilly being suspended in a cage though the hay did provide some warmth but there wasn't enough to really make a bed out of. She was just going to have to deal with what she had.
Mego stopped humming and sighed. She just hoped someone would come soon to rescue her. She had never been so anxious or scared in her life. She didn't like being trapped here. She didn't like being someone's pet or treasure. She didn't belong to anyone. Wait that's not entirely true she thought to herself. There is only one person she would be willing to belong to. Masamune she spoke his name in her mind and felt instantly relieved. She smiled as she saw his cheeky grin in her mind. His soft eyes when we looked at her when they were alone. She sighed happily. She could at least think of happy things to keep herself from feeling anxious about her current situation. Still, she felt dirty and violated. The way Hisahide looked at her gave her chills up her spine. She hugged herself reacting to the horrible mental images that were sending shivers up her spine.
Suddenly she heard a cough from behind her from one of the guards prompting her to start singing again. Ugh Mego thought mentally and started to hum Sakura. She kept thinking of smiling faces of her loved ones whilst she did so to ease her mind.
Sasuke sat perched on a branch hidden in the trees observing the enemies castle before him. He'd managed to track down where they'd taken Mego but was unable to pinpoint where they might have put her. He moved to closer to the castle making note of the main fortress structure. It reminded him of Hideyoshi's castle. The top level was quite high, but rather than it being an observation deck, it appeared more like a round tower. The rest of the castle seemed normal. Still, it was the castle of no lord. In fact, Sasuke couldn't recall anyone living here at all in the last ten years. So an unmarked army and unknown castle. This has to be the work of Matsunaga Sasuke thought to himself. Sasuke rubbed his chin in thought before he heard this sweet sound coming from the tower itself. It was beautiful he thought to himself. Clearly a lovely lady is…. Wait. Sasuke immediately realised it was Mego singing. He'd heard her humming once when she and Aki were preparing her for the wedding. Aki had become quite nervous so Mego started humming a sweet medley. Upon hearing it Aki immediately cheered up and joined her friend. Together they hummed a sweet song whilst dancing around the room. That was until they were interrupted by the arrival of the maids who were to help Aki don her uchikake.
Shaking his head to disperse the memory he was left pondering the question. Why is she humming? He thought to himself but that was a question he will have to have answered later. But a thought came to his mind. He made a bird call with his hands summoning one of his special 'tools' to him. A little song bird landed on his shoulder responding to the bird call. He gave it orders to fly up to the window and investigate the humming. As the bird flew off he just hoped Mego could send him some kind of message back.
Mego was humming whilst looking out the window at the blue sky. Suddenly a little song bird landed on the window sill and was chirping happily whilst jumping about.
"Hello little bird." Mego chirped smiling. The little bird flew down to her landing not far away from her. Mego giggled a little and put her hand out.
"Come here, don't be shy." She said extending out her hand to the bird. It looked at her judging her first before flying to her arm and perching itself in her palm. She then brought it closer to her face.
"Why hello there little one." She said. Promptly the guard behind her questioned the bird.
"What is that?" He demanded, looking curiously at the bird. Mego smiled at the bird and responded without looking at the guard.
"It's a song bird. It must have heard my singing and wanted to come join me." Mego said. The guard grunted as if to say that's all and returned to ease as if nothing had happened.
As Mego looked the bird over she observed something white sticking out of its wing. She pulled it out and was surprised to find a small note with "Mego" written on it. Only a ninja would be able to conceal something like this Mego thought before hiding the note in her clothing. She had to send a note back. If her suspicions were correct, Lord Shingen would have sent Sasuke after her kidnappers meaning it is likely Sasuke was the sender of this little messenger. She smiled at the thought and stroked the song birds head. She looked around for something to use to reply and saw that her only material was straw. She mentally sighed before picking some up whilst humming happily to keep the guards naive. She began to twist and bend the straw seeing what shapes she could make out of it. She noticed some could bend but mostly the straw bent and made sharp edges.
Mego then got a brilliant idea and got working intertwining straw to create a symbol Sasuke would recognise as her. She pulled out strands of her hair as well to tie the straw together and to also prove her identity. There weren't many blonde maidens hanging around
Once she had finished her masterpiece she then looked back at the song bird and decided to add another message through a song. She began to sing a song she knew Aki, Keiji and Lady Hikari would recognise immediately.
"Now little bird repeat after me." She prompted. The song bird obeyed and waited for her to start singing.
"I wonder. I wonder. If my heart keeps singing will my song go winging, to someone, who'll find me, and bring back a love song to me?" She finished thinking of Masamune as she sung it.
She then gave the song bird her physical message and sent it back to its master. She just hoped he would understand. She sighed and started humming again, silently praying that help would come soon.
Sasuke waited eagerly out of sight. He had to be careful to not alert any enemy ninja or soldiers. Suddenly his trusty messenger returned carrying an ornament made out of straw. He took the ornament from the song bird and observed it. It was shaped just like a sakura blossom with strands of golden hair tying it together. The sakura was the pattern Mego wore on her combat kimono and it was obvious that it was Mego's hair the bound the ornament together. Sasuke knew this would be good to use as evidence when he returned. He also though that Masamune might like it. It might keep his mind at ease having something of hers.
The song bird then chirped demanding Sasuke's attention. It repeated the song Mego had taught it but fell on deaf ears. Sasuke had no idea what it meant. A message for someone else he thought. He took the song bird and hid it in his clothes to keep it protected before dashing off at full speed back to Takeda. It would take him until nightfall to get there even at his top speed but at least he knew she was safe. Don't worry Mego. We will have you back soon. He thought as he looked back at the castle before dashing off. Hold on.
~~~Masamune~~~

Masamune stared up at the moonlit sky outside his appointed room or should he say prison. He had caused such a commotion the last night that he had been put under guard. He cussed at the thought recalling his outburst of rage balling his fists up.

Lord Shingen had ordered him to stay and wait for Sasuke and his ninja comrades to gather the intel they needed before they planned a rescue mission. Masamune was too hot headed to be able to sit around whilst they could be doing who knows what with his Mego.

He'd only just gotten her in his grasp, or well he was going to propose to her, and just as quickly there she was gone. He clenched his fists even tighter, remembering the powerlessness he felt then and now. He released his fists and sighed. He was more calm and collected now, but he was still angry. ]

When Masamune woke up in the morning, his head ached and so did his heart. One feeling was new and another one he had experienced too many after a long night. He stared at the ceiling when suddenly Mego's smiling face came to mind.

"Wake up Masamune you're going to miss the day!" She teased as she stood at his door letting the morning sun seep through and force him to get up. He sat up quickly outreaching his hand to her ghost he had created in his mind. Realising it wasn't real he pulled his hand back towards him and stared down at it.

He sighed. He had to wait and hope that she ok. Something he'd never had to do. The day had gone by without much happening that Masamune could remember but that night looking up at the stars he could only think of one thing. Mego.

The memory of the night she sat out on the porch with him drinking sake came to mind. He could see her there with her smiling face. He smiled at the thought again before shaking his head. It's like I think she is dead or something. Why am I thinking such crazy things? He let out another loud sigh.

Masamune heard a familiar whine to his left as he sighed. Tsukiyo came and sat next to him rubbing up against him. He gave her a pet on her head which she took for an invite to lay down and rest her head on his lap. Something she'd done regularly with Mego. She continued to whine softly on his lap until he petted her head constantly which seemed to appease her. He knew she was worried for Mego as well but she was also trying to keep his mind off her.

"It will be ok Tsukiyo. We will find her and we will kill anyone who laid a finger on her. You see?" Masamune said softly. Tsukiyo looked up at him and then lifted her head up far enough to lick him on his chin. Masamune looked at her shocked. She'd never licked him before and it wasn't something he was used to. He recalled seeing Mego being attacked with licks from Tsukiyo and Mego hugging her around the neck and rubbing her nose and face into her fur. He smiled remembering her smiling face again.

"It means she likes you." Came a voice from behind him. He looked around and saw Aki standing there with a smiling face. She came over and sat on the other side of Tsukiyo and was immediately attacked with licks on her face. She giggled and then hugged her back.

"I'm sorry I haven't come and seen you Tsukiyo. I've uh... been preoccupied." She said blushing. Masamune grunted a laugh. It went silent for a few minutes.

"How are you doing?" Aki asked. Masamune didn't turn to look at her but stared up at the stars.

"I am trying to be patient but I can't stop thinking about her and... worrying." He said.

Aki giggled. "Our girl is nothing to be worried about she can hold her own." Masamune looked at her in disbelief.

"Don't underestimate her just because you've fallen in love with her. She isn't some tea cup that will break if it falls onto the ground. She has held her own against you, the one eyed dragon. I think it's fair to say she will be fine." Aki flashed him an infectious smile and Masamune couldn't help but let the sides of his mouth creep up a little.

"She will be doing her part to stay alive and well whilst she waits for you to rescue her." She said confidently.

"And don't you be worrying about that either!" She said pointing her finger at Masamune's nose causing him to flinch back.

"Sasuke and his ninjas are exceptional and should be back anytime now with all the information we need to find her and rescue her." Masamune grunted.

"I bet Tsukiyo could have found her by now." Aki acknowledged his idea but shook her head.

"But a black wolf running around with a headstrong One eyed dragon would not only ruin the element of surprise but also give the enemy time to escape with or worse, kill Mego don't you think?" She said confidently. Some military prowess in this one Masamune noted.

Masamune didn't protest but sighed deeply.

"I know this isn't the time to start a party..." He trailed off.

"You want her back in your arms?" Suggested Aki with a smile on her face. Masamune didn't look at Aki directly but smiled at her words.

"I see the way you look at her and the way you talk to her." Aki continued whilst patting Tsukiyo's back.

"I've observed a lot. I know you act all tough but really you care deeply for her. It's ok. I know right now she is probably thinking of you and how she'd like to be wrapped up tight in your arms." She said with a warm smile and teasing voice.

"Yuki and I are the same. We couldn't bear to be separated and knowing you two are separated and hurting has made us not want to leave each other's side." She stood up and put a hand on Masamune's shoulder.

"Just make sure when she is home safe and sound you give her a good proposal. I hear you owe her a new fighting kimono." Aki said giving him a wink before walking off and leaving him to his own thoughts.

He recalled the blue kimono in his mind. How it was elegantly embroided with sakura leaves and the image of her tearing the fabric to bandage his wounds thus destroying the beautiful garment. He then saw her taking on the lead commander whilst he was down again only slower. The brilliant electricity sparking off her blade and the wind whispering past his ear. She looked so strong and confident, a woman any man would be proud to call wife. He also recalled the warmth of her flesh that night stirring feelings in other places. The rising and fall of her chest as she inhaled deeply in her sleep. The thought made him smile warmly.

To think that he could feel that every day with her. It made his emotions wild. He pondered Aki's last words a little more. You owe her a new kimono. He did owe her a new kimono though and she was also in need of two new swords after hers broke in her match with Aki. Suddenly he had a thought. He knew exactly how to propose to her.
"Guard. Find me Kojuro" he barked as a smile gleamed on his face. Whilst he had some time he might as well make use of it. Time to put a plan into action he thought.

~~~Sasuke~~~
Sasuke appeared out of thin air in front of Shingen having just arrived back.
"Taicho" he said whilst kneeling in front of his master. Yukimura, Lady Hikari and Lord Shingen were all in the room and in an instant the castle became a bustle.
"Yukimura fetch Masamune, Kojuro, Motochika and Keiji immediately" barked Lord Shingen. Lady Hikari looked at Sasuke, fear in her eyes.
"Tell me is she alive?" The clear look of worry on her face.
"She is ok as far as I could tell. Unfortunately, I couldn't get too close to her, she is locked away in a tower." Sasuke reported. Lady Hikari breathed a sigh of relief. She was safe for now.
Suddenly doors flew open as Masamune came charging, his face full of worry. Kojuro followed behind him with Motochika and Keiji not too far behind. Aki and Tsukiyo came from the opposite side coming in quietly as to hear what Sasuke said without causing a fuss.
"Everyone settle down" Lord Shingen demanded. Everyone quickly found a spot to sit around Sasuke waiting to hear the news and plan their means of rescue. Masamune was itching to know.
Sasuke looked around and sighed. Even this many people made him feel uneasy. Lord Shingen, satisfied everyone was settled gestured for Sasuke to report.
"Mego is alive." He started off and an audible sigh around the room was heard. He produced her sakura ornament and showed Lord Shingen first before showing it to everyone else.
"A sakura blossom. Of course it's Mego's" Aki stated, clearly happy to know her friend was fine. Keiji nodded in agreement.
"But why is it made of straw?" Motochika asked curiously. Sasuke shrugged.
"I wasn't able to get close to her. He's keeping her in some tower. Maybe there was some straw in there?" Sasuke reported. There wasn't a definitive answer. His mission had been to observe, not to alert.
"Well?" Masamune said looking at Sasuke.Sasuke turned to him and handed him the ornament.
"I think she would have wanted you to have this. She bound it with strands of her own hair." Sasuke said handing it over.
Masamune accepted it and admired the craftsmanship. He looked at the golden strands wound around the straw. I gently stroked one remembering the feeling of her hair in his hands. Mego. He thought gently.
"There is more. I had my song bird investigate and she left a message through it but I don't understand its meaning." He produced the song bird placing it in front of him so everyone could hear it. It jumped around chirping before looking at Sasuke and waiting for its orders. Sasuke used a gesture to command the bird to repeat its message.
"I wonder. I wonder. If my heart keeps singing will my song go winging, to someone, who'll find me, and bring back a love song to me?" The song bird song mimicked Mego almost perfectly. Keiji, Aki and Lady Hikari immediately gasped.
"I haven't heard he sing that song for years!" Aki exclaimed. Keiji nodded in agreement.
"We used to sing that song together. But why sing that song? We used to sing it on summer nights when we were together." Keiji said rubbing his chin.
Masamune sat quietly pondering the words. He'd only heard her sing that song once when she was in the garden with Tsukiyo and thought no one was around. At the time he hadn't paid much attention just smiled and went along with his own business.
Everyone sat silently trying to work it out when Lady Hikari broke the silence.
"She is using it to send us a different kind of message." She said gaining everyone's attention.
"There are two meanings to this. The first one is for Keiji, Aki and I. She is telling us that she is ok but wants to be together again soon so we can sing that song together. The second is that she is asking us to send her a love song. The second meaning is for Masamune." She said looking at him.
Masamune looked stunned. He had no idea what the message was she was sending him.
Lady Hikari giggled.
"It's not meant to be a message you understand but rather a message we understand for you. She is asking for you to come save her. She keeps singing in the hopes you'll come rescue her." She said smiling at Masamune. Masamune felt a well of pride hearing Mego's request. Of course he'd save her. He'd do anything for her. His cheeky smile returned to his face as he grasped his swords. She had complete faith in him and he was determined to prove her right.
He looked at Lord Shingen confidence and eagerness welling within him.
"So old man. How are we going to start this party?"
Update:
First of all I want to apologise. I said I wouldn't be giving up on this fanfic (which I am not) but alas because of life I have left it sitting aside for almost two years. I feel awful for neglecting it for so long. I am sure I could give you at least ten reasons why but I am not here to make excuses. Life just gets in the way. Now, I am working full time and well I felt I was finally able to pick this back up and continue where I left off.
I've read back through my previous stuff and well I kinda felt silly. There were spelling mistakes, lots of ideas and some messy bits. I hope you have been able to get through most of it! I intend to go back and clean them up a little but I hope I haven't got too lovey dovey for anyone. I wanted this to be a love story, but for it to also encapsulate the characters personalities. I feel I have both upheld this and slipped a little. As per usual I welcome feedback. Let me know if you like the feel of it.
To my followers and fans I apologise and hope the wait was worth it. Thank you and sorry for the extreme tardiness.
Also, I've used song lyrics here from Disney songs to match the overall feel and to allow readers to make some connection to the overall feelings I am trying to convey. Let me know if you guys like thisJ
Thank you! See you soon. I am hoping to get chapters out at least on a monthly basis. I will – no matter how long it takes – finish this! And maybe some extra one-off shenanigans at the end.
