Author's note: There's been a little change in my plans for this chapter. I won't focus so much on the Exams' first phase. I found that part to be boring in the canon series. Chapter 17: Hellish Exams Part 1

Inside the Exam Classroom

The stage was set. All the genins participating in the Chuunin Exams prepared their pencils and began reading through the papers they had received. The sound of writing could be heard from wherever they sat. That was the only sound allowed in this classroom, as no one could ever do something stupid as to speak out loud.

Nashiko was trying to read through the papers, hoping she could find some questions that were easy to answer. But some of these questions were to her knowledge, not easy. She could see how complicated it was, as she didn't even understand what some of the words meant.

"This is ridiculous! How the hell am I supposed to pass the Exams, when I even can't understand some stupid-ass questions!?" she angrily wondered in her head while staring at her papers. But she then snapped once she remembered something that Shino said earlier. It was something about to answer the question as shinobis. "Wait….what did he mean by that?" she asked in her head while taking a brief glance at Shino, who sat on his seat with his arms crossed.

The man with sunglasses was canning all the genins in the classroom. He and his assistants made sure that none of them were caught cheating by looking at their neighbours' papers. While scanning the classroom, Shino could see his son writing on his papers in a fast pace. But Saburou was also sweating a little, something which made Shino muse to himself.

"That's it, Saburou. Welcome to the hard way of learning. I trust that you know what must be done" Shino thought while facing his son.

Shunsuke was sitting in silence while staring at his papers. It made him confused, and he tried his best to sort it out. But still, he found his the answers at a slow pace, something which made him a little bit stressed.

"All these questions…they're much more challenging than I thought" he noted in his head.

Takeda with Arata in his collar was looking though the papers with laziness. But he had answered some questions already. But he was interrupted when Shino suddenly began speaking loudly towards the row he was sitting on. Fortunately, it wasn't him specifically Shino said to. It was the Grass ninja sitting beside him.

"You there, on the third row! You're out!" Shino rose up and pointed his finger towards the Grass ninja, who was filled with shock and outrage at this. "You've been peeking into the papers of your competitor, I saw it with my own eyes" the man added sternly.

The Grass ninja rose up from his seat and pointed an accusing finger towards Shino. "You're saying I'm cheating!? That's bullshit! What proof do you have that I peeked into others' papers!?" he protested.

But his moment of confrontation was short-lived as Ibiki suddenly appeared before the Grass ninja. The middle-aged man grabbed his finger and broke it, causing him to yelp in pain. The other ninjas only watched this with fear.

"ARGGHHHH! MY FINGER!" the Grass ninja shouted as Ibiki had just broken it. The tall man stared at him with no remorse of his actions. The Grass ninja trembled in fear.

"When we say you're out, you do as we say. In this classroom, we are the ones in charge here, not you!" Ibiki sternly warned the ninja, who didn't have the strength to protest. The tall man eventually focused his gaze around the classroom. "This bum's teammates may also leave this classroom!" he called out and two Grass ninjas rose up from their seats and headed for the exit.

This episode made more students convinced not to cheat by peeking into the neighbour's papers. In fact, if some of them were indeed caught cheating, they didn't even open their mouths to protest. The least they wanted was to get their fingers broken by Ibiki, as he would not be so merciful towards cheaters. But most of the genins of the Leaf knew that deep inside, Ibiki was a nice and just man, like all the other heroes of the Leaf.

Inojin was one of the many students to have finally realized about what Shino meant by answering the questions like shinobi. While sitting silently, he activated his Sharingan, the same crimson eyes used by his father, uncle and all his relatives from his paternal side. The young boy with the pony tail only smirked while using his eyes to scan every paper.

"I must admit that the Sharingan does indeed come in handy" he noted in his head. "But I wonder if Shunsuke has also awakened the Sharingan" he wondered while thinking about his twin brother.

But Shunsuke was finding another solution to his problems. Having just discovered that all the jounins in this classroom, including Shino and Ibiki, expects them to just in a shinobi way, he scanned the classroom.

"If I must gather information in shinobi style, I might as well look for answers by seeing through another one's eyes" he said and did the signature ability of his mother's clan. "Mom told me I didn't need the Mind-Transfer jutsu, but I must clash with her in this case" he mused to himself while thinking about his mother. He saw a Waterfall ninja, who was writing on his papers in a fast speed. This would be a perfect target for him. "Heh, found the perfect target" he said and unleashed his technique on the ninja, thus taking over his mind.

Konohamaru sat on side-lines smirking. He did that because he knew that some of the students had begun to realize how they were supposed to get the answers. "Those kids are starting to get it. They know what we're really after" he remarked in his head.

Saburou had in secrecy of everyone, even his father, spread bugs all across the classroom. These bugs crawled onto every student's table and gave the answers to Saburou. The blonde-haired boy smirked to himself.

Ochinko could actually see everyone's answers on their papers by just closing his eyes. The reason was that he could actually communicate with everything that his drawn, not just by brush, but by pencils as well. He had his father to thank for that.

Minami was thinking about how to gain the answers without getting caught. After sighing deeply, she closed her eyes before opening them again, but something happened in the process. "Byakugan!" she said and the infamous Kekkei Genkai of the Hyuuga clan could be seen on her eyes. But while see scanned the answers, she gritted her teeth while having those eyes activated. "I really hate to use this technique. But I do so for mom, not for the old man stuck in the past" she thought, thinking about her maternal grandfather. She also patted Riko who hung on his collar watching as Manami wrote down the answers.

Takeda used his trusty companion to find the answers. Arata sniffed in the air and could lowly tell him what the answers were. The long-haired boy chuckled with amusement. "This outta do it!" he thought with confidence.

All the ninjas sued different methods of cheating. The Sound ninjas could know the answers by just listening to what they were writing. But there was more. Noburu had actually x-ray scanners programmed in his glasses and he found the answers with ease. Yuudai also had scanners on the white eyes on his mask. But they mostly did the easiest way by listening to the sound.

Guy had with the help of thin threads and weapons, erected a mirror above the classroom. With these threads and weapons, he could see the answers to not only himself, but also his teammates. While Kimiko greatly appreciated Guy's help, Hisoka didn't seek Guy's assistance. He had his eyes closed and suddenly opened them again but something happened in his eyes.

"Kaminarigan!" he said and his eyes became blue as the thunder itself. With this, he could find the answers from what the other students wrote in their papers. "With the Kaminarigan, I should be able to collect information" he thought while writing.

The Mist ninjas did found the answer through the unusual way. Given that most of the jounins brought with them bottles of water to drink, they could actually use to water inside those bottles to find the answers. They could even get a peek at Shino's papers and read the answers there.

Jurou were using some white spikes rising from the floor that he had planted before they took their seats. The spikes acted as his eyes around the classroom. In addition to that, small eyed began around his neck and they gave him the answers he sought.

Nashiko however, was still trying to figure out the questions. She was lost in confusion, but she remembered something her mother had told her. Sakura had said to Nashiko that she needed to carry on writing what she thought were the right answers, no matter how hard it was. She wondered if this was the same thing she and Naruto did when they took the Exams. The young pinkette firmed the grip on the pencil and continued writing.

"I can do this! I won't we thrown out, because of some dumb test! I will reach the top!" she exclaimed in her head.

Inside the Leaf Village's hospital

The Leaf Village's hospital had grown into a large skyscraper over the years. As had other buildings that had existed in the village for a long time. Right now, Naruto was visiting it to see what his wife was up to. He knew that she had expressed concern about Tsunade's condition in the last weeks. That is why he wanted to ensure her that she would endure all hardships, as she had done in the past.

Naruto and his lovely wife were standing in a tiny room by themselves. They could now converse without being disturbed by anything. Sakura was dressed in a white coat, something which a normal attire used by those working in the hospital's leadership.

"I saw Nashiko. And I'll tell ya: she looked confident!" Naruto chuckled when telling Sakura about their daughter.

Sakura's cheeks blushed. "Well, she's inherited much from you, Naruto" she pointed out, making Naruto raise an eyebrow in confusion.

"Inherited from me?" he asked. But he quickly laughed at her in denial. "Maybe she has inherited some from mom. But to be frank, she has inherited your spirit and strength, Sakura. She's almost like a Sakura jr" he joked, but Sakura could tell that he meant well.

"Very well, then Haruto must be a Naruto jr" she pointed out and laughed. "He does possess your attractiveness, even though he's just a kid and has my eyes" she added, much to her husbands' amusement.

The couple exchanged laughs, but it was only for a brief moment. As much as they hated to admit it, they knew that more serious matters were needed to discuss. But they were reluctant, considering the fact that their daughter was now participating in the Chuunin Exams, while Jiro was entering the Academy.

"I spoke with Sasuke on the way here. He has some news from the fields" the blonde-haired man revealed, making Sakura surprised. "I don't know what he found out, but we agreed to take it up with Grandma Tsunade" he added while thinking about what Sasuke said.

"Naruto, Tsunade wouldn't mind if I came along with you on this meeting with Lady Tsunade, would she?" Sakura asked him. Naruto raised an eyebrow at his wife. "I know it sounds unnecessary, but I really want to see if Tsunade is feeling well. So can I join you in this meeting?" she asked her husband who only nodded his head, understanding Sakura's desire to see the Hokage. Sakura sighed deeply. "I pray to that these times won't be troubling. Even though the war ended many years ago, I still feel uncertain whether peace has been achieved throughout the world" she said lowly.

Naruto held around Sakura to comfort her, something she gladly accepted. He smiled at her and she returned it with a kiss. After the kiss Naruto spoke up. "Peace is something that can't be achieved easily. While I prefer peace over conflict, the road to peace is long" he explained.

Sakura smiled at her husband by hearing this. "I feel so safe when you're by my side, Naruto. Throughout the years, even before the war, you always were there for me, even though I failed to notice it" she said while hinting a regretful tone in her voice. "I used to think that my heart was with Sasuke, but as we reunited…I realized that the reason I cared so much about him, was because I considered him a dear friend….or even a brother" she added softly while remembering those times.

Naruto showed understanding in return. "I also considered Sasuke to be a brother, so you're not alone by thinking like that" he assured her. "But about what happened many years ago, that's all in the past now, Sakura. We're no longer those idealistic dreamers. We're now….husband and wife….and parents. For some reason, I think becoming parents have led us to embrace what's reality" Naruto told her and Sakura, moved by his explanation, fully embraced her husband with a passionate kiss.

Naruto happily accepted it and held onto her hips. As long as they were together, they would stand up to all challenges that laid ahead of them. But the couple broke the kiss and Naruto could see Sakura eye him with seduction. He grinned sheepishly at that.

"You mind telling me why you're looking at me like that?" he wanted to know.

Sakura turned around and swayed her round butt against his crotch. This made Naruto gasp in amazement as he never knew the many things his wife could make him turned on. Sakura turned her head and licked him underneath his chin.

"I've been such a naughty nurse, Naruto. Because I really need someone to satisfy me when I'm all stressed on the job" she said seductively. She loosened her white coat, revealing her clothes she usually wore at home.

Naruto smirked at this. "Well then, why don't we go somewhere more…..private?" he suggested to her.

Sakura fixed a lustful look on her face and held her arms around his waist. Naruto only eyed her in confusion, but he also began sweating by seeing how seductive his wife was becoming. "But why don't we just do it right here? We're all alone and nobody is watching us" she pouted childishly.

Naruto freaked out in shock at her pouting. "Are you out of your mind? We can't do that in your workplace!" he countered.

His wife chuckled sweetly in return, making Naruto confused. "Sorry, I was just teasing you, Naruto. You sure are cute sometimes when I tease you" she said mischievously. She then leaned against the door while sticking her round butt out, making Naruto completely aroused. Sakura turned around to face him seductively. "Follow this ass back to our home, then we can start the show" she ordered him while patting her nice behind.

Naruto grinned in return. "Woah, I sure am lucky to have two adorable children and one attractive wife on the same level as a goddess" he thought in his head while eyeing his lovely wife. "I can't wait till I become Hokage, then I will prove to the other Kages that I have a wonderful family which has helped me realise what it means to be one" he added to his thoughts.

In the Uchiha-Yamanaka home

Sasuke was warmly embraced by his wife the moment her got in. She kissed and he returned it, as he knew that was a way to express love towards one another as husband and wife. Since Sasuke was feeling a bit tired after his time in the fields, he and Ino sat for themselves in their bedroom. Apparently, Ino was also feeling a bit tired after working in the flower shop, all the more reason for them to relax on their bedroom. Sasuke was dressed only in his underwear, thus exposing his muscular chest. Ino had for some reason put on her morning coat and had her long hair loosed, but Sasuke didn't care, as he was most interested in getting some relaxation.

"It's a shame you didn't get to see the boys before they left. But there's plenty of time for you to see them during the Exams" Ino tried to assure her husband.

Sasuke nodded his head, accepting his wife's explanation. He was currently staring towards the end of the bed, being lost in thoughts. But he snapped out of it and eyed Ino with a slight smile on his face.

"You're right. And besides, the ANBU Black Ops are heavily requested as security during the Exams. That means I won't be out in the fields for a while" he revealed.

Ino smiled in return. "Well that's great. This means that we both get to see whether our boys will make it to the finals" she said gleefully. But she stopped once she noticed how strange her husband acted. True, he always was the quiet one, but there was something else. "Ummmmm….is something wrong, dear?" she asked him.

Sasuke faced her with his normal glance as if he was trying to hide his curiosity. "While I was in the fields, I received a letter from Shunsuke" he uttered out words.

"Shunsuke sent you a letter? Oh that is so sweet of him. But I don't think Inojin sent any letters" Ino said and Sasuke nodded his head as a yes. The blonde-haired woman strokes her hair and sighs deeply. "I really want you and Inojin to get along. You two always bicker when you see one another" she said while putting her arms on Sasuke's shoulders.

The raven-haired man closed his eyes as if he didn't care what she said. But he eventually opened them again and faced his wife. Ino was confused at this.

"Has there been any strange about the boys, lately? I mean has one of them…..awakened the Sharingan?" he asked her, who was stunned by what she just heard.

But the blonde-haired woman decided to answer her husband as honest as she could. She tried to be a real wife for Sasuke, as much as Sasuke tried to be a husband for her.

"One day, while the boys were outside, I was visited by Naruto and Inojini's sensei Ayumu Sarutobi" she explained.

Sasuke nodded his head, but there was something he found interesting. "Sarutobi, as in the Sarutobi clan?" he asked her.

"Yes, he's Asuma-sensei's son. That makes him Konohamaru's cousin and the late Third Hokage's grandson" she explained but refocused the subject. "Anyway, they asked me if we could have a talk. And by that he meant between him, Ayumu and us. You were away so I said we could have this talk once you were back" she told him.

The raven-haired man accepted Ino's answer and he took a brief glance at his hand while clenching it. "Did they mention anything specific they wanted to talk with us about?" he asked her while still looking at his hand.

Ino eyed the end of the bed and sighed. "They didn't say much, because of their confidentiality. But what they could mention as that it involved our sons" she said with uncertainty in her voice.

Sasuke closed his eyes as he heard the answer. In some way, Sasuke could understand what Naruto and Ayumu had wanted to speak with them about. This could only mean one thing: one of them had awakened the Sharingan. He mused to himself while thinking about it.

"But do you think they would speak to us in private just because of your family's Kekkei Genkai?" she asked him with a hint of worry in her voice. "I don't want anything to happen to the boys, Sasuke" she added worriedly.

Her husband only sighed annoyingly in return before facing her. "Calm yourself, Ino. It's too early to come up with theories such as this" he assured her while putting his hand on her shoulder. "Besides, Inojin and Shunsuke are old enough to take care of themselves. I understand your concern for them, but cuddling them won't do any better" he added.

Ino felt ashamed of herself of thinking like that so she got closer to her husband. "Right, sorry for being so stressed. I never realized how busy the job as a florist really was" she said while letting out a sigh.

Sasuke eyed the roof while crossing his arms. He understood how Ino had been stressed during work. And since the Chuunin Exams was already in motion, her concern about her twin boys' well-being had increased. But now that Sasuke was gonna stay with her for a while, she could find calm within herself.

"I hate to change the subject, but do you remember the aftermath of the war?" he suddenly asked her.

"Of course I do" Ino answered with a hint of bitterness in her voice. "We paid tribute to all those who died in the battle, including dad" she said. "And you…well, you were hospitalized. But you were under strict security and it was almost as if you were incarcerated" she added.

"I pretty much deserved that" Sasuke said, making Ino chuckle lightly. "But returning to the Leaf Village after years of hatred was a difficult transition for me" he explained and faced Ino, who did so in return. "But all that changed thanks to Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi-sensei….and you" he said lowly.

Sasuke and Ino got closer to one another. They began thinking about how they actually began their relationship as young adults. Sasuke, who was still hated for his crimes, had chosen to live in the shadows. But he had friends and Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi and Ino would often visit him in the hospital. Ino had missed him as much as Sasuke's teammates. But they didn't get better acquainted to one another until a mission done by a combined group of ANBU Black Ops and the Interrogation Squad.

"Forget the past, Sasuke" Ino said lowly. "You have a family of your own now" she whispered as she got closer to Sasuke's face.

The raven-haired man had his lips captured by Ino's. They shared this passionate moment on their bed, undisturbed. But Ino broke the kiss and eyed her husband seductively. Sasuke in turn, glanced at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Why don't we put all this nonsense aside for now? I want you inside of me, Sasuke. I really do now that's just the two of us here" she said with a hidden lust. To Sasuke's confusion, she got off the bed and faced him lustfully. "It sure feels warm inside here. I better get rid of this morning coat" she said teasingly.

The blonde-hair woman slowly loosened her morning coat and let it slid down to the ground, thus exposing her naked body to her husband. Sasuke smiled in amusement in return. "You were naked underneath the morning coat? You sure know how to surprise me, Ino" he remarked.

Ino began crawled on the bed towards Sasuke in a lustful manner. Now that her hair was loose, it fell down towards her breasts, effectively covering her nipples. "Don't move, honey. You don't wanna miss this" she sexily said. Sasuke did as he was told and sat still facing his wife. "Just sit back and enjoy me. I'm gonna give you a naptime you'll never forget" she added with lust in her voice.

Sasuke smirked in return. He ended up picking up a blonde-haired goddess to be his wife. Even though he wasn't really into this love thing, he enjoyed having sex, as married couples did when expressing love to one another.

Near the Hyuuga mansion

Kiba was almost home. He was done with his shift and had decided to return home and have some rest. Akamaru tagged along, following his companion wherever he went. But as the brown-haired man with goatee neared his home, he could see someone standing by the entrance to the mansion. It was his father-in-law.

Hiashi stood there, never taking off his disapproving gaze at Kiba. The elderly man had his arms crossed, indicating that he was waiting for him to come back home. Kiba scowled by seeing him.

"Good, ol' Hiashi. What a surprise seeing you at my home" Kiba remarked with sarcasm.

Hiashi twitched by hearing his words, but remained calm when facing his son-in-law. "Do not be so idiotic, Kiba Inuzuka. YOUR home is actually MY home as well. It belongs to the Hyuuga clan and the Hyuuga clan alone" the grey-haired man said with strict disapproval.

Kiba only snorted in return, ignoring what he just heard. "Whatever. What the hell are you doing here, anyway?" he rudely asked, demanding to know an answer.

Hiashi began taking a few steps forward, while Kiba only stood still. An animosity existed between those two. Akamaru meanwhile, didn't feel like intervening to stop this confrontation. This was after all, between his companion and the father of his wife.

"I was on my way to the store to buy something for the household. But then I could sense you nearby, so I decided to stop and greet my "so-called" son-in-law" Hiashi explained with a hint of sarcasm in his sentence.

Kiba was not satisfied by his answer. "Cut the bullshit! I know you're here by Hinata's invitation. And she didn't even notify me of you visiting us? Damn" he snapped in irritation.

"Why does my daughter need your notification of me visiting her? You are barley home with her and the children!" the grey-haired man shot back, not appreciating what Kiba just said. "All you do is drinking till you collapse on the floor!" he added while gritting his teeth.

Kiba was beginning to grow angry by Hiashi's words. "Stop acting like you're my dad or something! It's my family and I do whatever the hell I feel like!" he snapped again, but this time in anger. "Oh, and since when did you care so much about Hinata's well-being? As far as I know, you used to treat her like shit when she was younger! So, don't lecture me about treating Hinata fairly" he suddenly brought up a difficult subject.

Hiashi was stunned by what was just told and his bright eyes widened. It was apparent that Hiashi still remembered what a different person he used to be when his daughters were younger. It all came back to him. But his expression changed into that of anger and the old man walked up to Kiba and grabbed him by his collar. Akamaru only stood in shock, as he didn't know what to do. But the white-furred dog got an idea and ran straight to the mansion, hoping to find help.

"Don't you EVER…say that to me again!" he said with anger while facing Kiba, who was unfazed by Hiashi's grip on his collar. "You who doesn't care about family, how no right to lecture me about parenting!" he added, still angry about what Kiba said.

The brown-haired man only faced him sternly in return. "Get the fuck out of my face before I headbutt you" Kiba lowly threatened his father-in-law, who got angrier by hearing this. "Don't make me repeat myself, old man! Get the fuck out of…" before he could come up with another one, Hiashi readied his right hand.

"I WILL SHUT YOU UP FOR GOOD!" he roared as he was about to deliver his palm against Kiba's face.

But the whole atmosphere changed once a pale-white hand stopped Hiashi's. He quickly turned around, only to see Hinata standing behind him with Akamaru tagging along. His daughter faced him with a troubled expression on his face. With great reluctance, Hiashi calmed himself, and Hinata let go of his hand.

Hiashi didn't feel like speaking no more and quickly took off, not saying a word of farewell to his daughter, let alone his son-in-law. Kiba meanwhile, only smirked in seeing Hiashi disappear.

"Yeah that's right! Beat it, old man!" he thought in his head with satisfaction. But it was only short-lived as Kiba has his face slapped by Hinata. It was hard and left him an ugly mark on his face. Kiba rubbed his face in anger before facing her. "Ouch! What was that for!? I come home from work and accidentally bump into your asshole of a father, then I get this!?" he snapped while feeling the pain.

Hinata only stood there, crossing her arms in disappointment. Her husband only sighed in return, as he could tell that she didn't like him badmouthing Hiashi. But still, he didn't show any regret about it.

"Anyway, why was he here all of a sudden? Couldn't you at least told me about him coming to visit?" Kiba asked her, trying to change the subject. "C'mon Hinata…" he said only to be interrupted by Hinata's voice.

"Don't you "c'mon Hinata" me! You're staying home for the rest of the day!" she surprisingly told him strictly. Kiba only gritted his teeth in return.

"Quit acting like you're my mom, Hinata! Besides, I am gonna take a nap once I'm home" he said.

Hinata nodded. "Well that's fine, but what I meant was no more bar visits! You're not going out tonight!" she explained to her husband. "You left for work too early and you didn't even wish Takeshi or Manami good luck on the Exams. Therefore, you will stay by my side and help me support this family" she added while commanding him.

Kiba was struck by how strict Hinata actually was. It was unbelievable. But that didn't mean the brown-haired man would go soft on his wife. So he stood his ground against her.

"The Chuunin Exams are just a load of bullshit! I would rather kiss the ass of a pig rather than reading through some boring papers!" he hit back.

Hinata wasn't finished with him. Before Kiba knew it, the bright-eyed woman grabbed him and drew him towards the mansion, much to his outrage.

"Hey! What's all this about!?" he demanded angrily as Hinata drew him towards the mansion. His wife inly ignored his protests and proceeded, not stopping.

Author's note: That was chapter 17. While we got to see Nashiko and her gang starting the first phase, we also saw the relationship some of their parents had between one another. I admit that this chapter contained some sexual content, but it was to demonstrate the relationship they had with one another. Just to be clear, Sakura, Ino and all the other women won't be sex crazed as they were in this story. But while Naruto and Sasuke had lovely wives, the relationship between Kiba and Hinata is somewhat difficult. As the story progresses, I might change the rating into M, probably due to the more dramatic chapters that is expected. But for now, enjoy the Chuunin Exams.
