Chapter 34: The Idiot and the Sadist

Inside the Hokage Monument, the Village Hidden in the Leaves

"Good luck with your match, Jurou!" Kotone said sweetly at him, although he didn't seem to care what she felt. But he did give her an approving nod in appreciation, considering that he wasn't much of a talker.

"Just don't take things too rash, okay?" the voice came from Aoi, who was facing him very sternly. "I know that this is your match, but don't get so full of yourself, just like what Kotone did in hers" he added while taking a brief glance upon the redhead.

Kotone was fuming with anger over hearing the azure-eyed boy's words. "Shut up, Aoi! Like you are any different!" she hit back. But she fixed a friendly glance upon Jurou. "All I ask of you is for you to be careful, Jurou" she told him sweetly.

The orange-haired boy sighed deeply before replying to her. "I will do that, although I think it will be unnecessary against that pathetic loser" he said while expressing his distaste of Guy.

He took a brief glance at his teacher and the bandaged man only gave him an approving nod, indicating that he had faith in him. In fact, Kaito knew that Jurou was the most mature of his students. After exchanging nods, the orange-haired boy jumped off the tribunal and stood ready.

Guy was stretching his arms while beaming with confidence. He watched as his opponent had already jumped down from the tribunal and was waiting for the match to begin. The brown-haired boy's smile turned into a deep frown.

"That's the same guy who insulted me after Kimiko's match" he noted and suddenly cracked his knuckles. "Now that we'll be fighting, I'm gonna return the favor by letting him taste my fists!" he said, as he clearly remembered what happened between them.

"Just don't lose focus on your fight, Guy" the young boy snapped by hearing Hisoka's voice coming to him from behind. Since his match had ended, Hisoka had been sitting against the wall. But he was actually giving some advice to Guy, who was surprised by this. "Whatever you do, make sure that you're not killed. Didn't you say that you wanted to beat me?" he suddenly pointed out.

By hearing this, Guy formed a confidential grin. "Oh you bet I will!" he replied before turning his gaze on his sensei. "Give me your support out there, Hideki-sensei!" he said to the silent jounin, who actually opened his eyes to see Guy.

"My support…isn't that just another way of saying "wish me luck in the fight"? Get real" he stated in return, but Guy didn't seem to care about his lack of friendliness. Hideki sighed deeply before speaking up. "Alright then, do your best, Guy" he finally said, causing Guy to be filled with confidence.

The brown-haired boy immediately jumped off the tribunal and landed on the floor to face his opponent. He walked closer and readied his fighting stance, facing Jurou in the process. The orange-haired boy could see how serious Guy was on fighting him.

"The words you said to me down here were unforgivable. So I will gladly return the favor by knocking that arrogant head of yours sideways" he said, trying to taunt Jurou.

So far, Jurou had only stood silent while facing his opponent with a similar glance. But he didn't smile and prepared his fighting stance. "Knocking my head sideways? That would actually be my line, clown" he replied while adding yet another insult to Guy. But the fuzzy-eyed boy easily shrugged it off, as he remembered what his teacher had taught him.

"When I'm finished with him, I'll show him who the clown is!" Guy thought in his head.

Lee watched with excitement by seeing his own son standing down there preparing to fight. He could see much of himself at Guy's age in the young boy. "Alright! This is the final round of the third phase. Give us a good show out there, son" he thought in his head while smiling.

Udon adjusted his glasses, realizing that the combatants were ready. "The final round of the third phase begins….NOW!" he declared and swung his hand.

Guy made the first move, and he sprinted towards the orange-haired boy in passive speed. As he neared him, he noticed Jurou only standing there unfazed, even as Guy was preparing his assault with a powerful punch to hit him. He was aiming to hit Jurou's chest.

But the orange-haired boy crossed his arms and before Guy's fist could reach him, bones began sprouting out from his arms and shoulders and few from his chest. "Bone Guard" he said as the bones sprouted out. By seeing this, the brown-haired boy narrowly avoided it by pushing himself backwards with his feet.

"Those spikes…just like the one he pointed at me with" Guy uttered under his breath. But he snapped once he remembered what Jurou previously said. "Wait…bones…are those his bones!?" he wondered.

His opponent uncrossed his arms, with his bones still intact. "You seem a little surprised" Jurou noted and suddenly pointed his fingertips on his right hand at Guy. They gradually began opening themselves and small, white bones sprouted out from them. "How about I warm you up? Drilling Shrapnel!" he said and the drilling skeletal bullets were fired from his fingertips.

By seeing this, Guy knew he had to avoid them, so he quickly slammed on the floor on his stomach. The skeletal bullets passed over him, but they continued flying until they hit the wall creating holes in it, considering that they were drilling. The brown-haired boy couldn't believe his eyes.

All the adults were shocked by seeing this, especially Naruto and Lee. "Holy smoke…those bullets just drilled the wall…I can't imagine what would've happened if they managed to hit Guy" Lee was at loss of words and filled with shock.

Naruto was just as surprised. "Hey Lee, those spikes of his…haven't we seen them before?" he asked the man in green jumpsuit, who snapped by hearing this. Naruto faced him and nodded his head. "That's right…those aren't spikes….they're his bones!" he told him.

Tsunade could hear them talk, so she spoke up. "Yes. This Jurou Kaguya carries a deadly Kekkei Genkai that allows it's user to manipulate the bones from his skeleton. It's called the Shikotsumyaku" she told them grimly.

Shikamaru's eyes widened at this, so did his colleagues. "Wait. Kaguya as in…the Kaguya clan?" he wondered in shock.

"But that clan became extinct decades ago" Sai pointed out to her.

Menma was also shocked by seeing how the match was going so far. He could see both Nashiko and Shunsuke facing him with curious eyes. "Menma-sensei what's all this fuzz about the Kaguya clan?" Nashiko quizzed him, as she could notice how he was sweating.

He faced his students and composed himself. "Long ago, the Kaguya clan was once a deadly force to be reckoned with in the shinobi world. It was known for its savage battle-tactics and archaic values. Its members were all descendants of the Mother of all Shinobis herself: Kaguya Otsutsuki. They were also known for their ruthlessness towards their enemies. No one made it out from a battle against them" he explained to his students who listened closely.

"Hey Ayumu-sensei, didn't the Kaguya clan battle the Hidden Mist Village once?" Shikaien asked his teacher, who was viewing this fight grimly.

"Yeah, the clan members always hungered for bloodshed and even though the attack failed, they fought until the very end. The whole clan was exterminated, but there was someone who managed to survive" he told his student.

Kaito mused to himself while seeing all teams getting so worked-up about Jurou's ability. The bandaged man and his students could care less about it. He continued to view the match, as Jurou was about to make another move with his hand. "All of them probably know about the Kaguya Clan Massacre many decades ago, as well as its sole survivor. However, what they don't know is that there was actually….two lone survivors of the massacre. We from the Hidden Mist have never shared this information with the other villages" he thought about it in his head.

Jurou fired another round of skeletal bullets at Guy, and the brown-haired boy jumped quickly to avoid them. But instead of focusing on distancing himself from his opponent, Guy quickly headed towards him. "Perhaps I should attack him by air. That will leave him vulnerable" he suggested and jumped before he even reached Jurou.

The orange-haired boy got surprised by seeing Guy jumping in the air. But Jurou realized that his opponent was intending on landing a kick on his face. He used his elbows to cover his head. But what he failed to notice was that Guy was actually planning on attacking him from behind, so once the brown-haired boy landed, he immediately moved his feet on his opponent's back. "Leaf Hurricane!" he exclaimed and landed small, but strong kicks on the orange-haired boy's back. He did that quickly, and Jurou was pushed to the ground as a result.

"Hah, I fooled you!" Guy taunted him. "Never underestimate an enemy from above!" he added with humor.

But his amusement was short-lived as Jurou quickly got back on his feet and faced his opponent with serious eyes. The bones on his arms had disappeared, but fewer bones had been activated now, with some of them sprouting out from his legs and shoulders.

"You want me to come at you? Very well, I shall grant your request" he said seriously and ran straight for his opponent. "Embrace your defeat! Willow Dance!" he said as he unleashed his attack upon his opponent.

Guy got cautious, and stood in defense against Jurou and as they collided, he tried his best to avoid his opponent's bones. But it was impossible for him to fight back, considering that Jurou could release his bones to pierce his hand.

But Guy knew that he couldn't just avoid him, so he moved his fist towards Jurou's face. "Say hello to my little friend: Ferocious Fist!" Guy exclaimed as he moved. But the orange-haired boy quickly blocked his attack with his right hand and held it tightly. Guy could feel how firm his grip was and tried to free himself. "Darn it…his grip sure is hard!" he noted while gritting his teeth.

Jurou only stared at him with disapproval. "You can try punch me in the face, but it won't help. And by the way, for being a user of taijutsu, your moves are easy to predict" he commented, much to his opponent's irritation.

Before Guy knew it, a bone pierced through his bandaged hand and blood coated it. The brown-haired boy howled in pain as he felt that. The bone was sprouting out from the palm of Jurou's hand.

"AAARRRRRGHHHHHHHHHH!" Guy shouted as he freed his hand from the bone although he felt the pain due to the hole in his hand. Blood dripped from his hand.

Everyone on the tribunal were horrified by what they just witnessed, even Hideki and Hisoka. They had so far been following the match closely, but this caught their attention.

"Shit….Guy's hand just got pierced!" Hisoka expressed shock, something he rarely did. "That orange-haired bastard is one hell of a monster!" he noted in his head.

Hideki leaned over to see his brown-haired student trying to overcome the pain in his hand, although he could see how it took a heavy toll on Guy. "Fuck, this is actually a battle he won't be able to win! How the hell is he gonna be able to defeat him with only his fists and feet!? Come on Guy, get serious!" he thought in his head.

"Guy….." Lee said lowly as he was terrified by the state his son were in. "The memories…they are coming back!" he added as he recalled something. "But I'm confused…..is it my first fight with Gaara….or is it my fight with…." Lee's eyes widened. Turns out he actually remembered something.

Naruto could notice him feeling uncomfortable and he couldn't blame him. "Lee's getting uneasy, I can see it" he thought in his head. "But who can blame him? Against the Shikotsumyaku, taijustu is not the wisest fighting style to use. Lee learned that many years ago" he added.

"Hey sensei, why don't Guy use ninjutsu?" Shunsuke asked Menma. "At this rate, he won't be able to as much as land a punch on him" he added.

Menma faced him with a grim expression on his face. "That's because…much like his own father, Guy does not use either ninjutsu or genjutsu" he answered lowly.

Nashiko's eyes widened. "But that's insane! Fuzzy Eyes won't be able to survive this fight with only that!" she remarked with worry. "He must have other tricks up his sleeve!" she suddenly thought.

But the atmosphere in the arena changed, as Guy had quickly managed to bandage the injury on his hand. Although it still hurt, the brown-haired boy remained defiant and withstood it. He faced his orange-haired opponent with eyes of determination.

"It looks like…..I need to stop having doubts over my abilities. Holding back my strength isn't gonna help at all" he said while wincing in pain. But he stubbornly resisted it. To Jurou's surprise, Guy grinned with confidence. "Allow me to demonstrate you the true art of the Dancing Leaf Shadow!" he said and quickly took off in fast speed.

Jurou got cautious and remained on guard. "That speed…it's faster than what he previously showed me" he noted. But instead of barging right into him, Guy circled around his opponent with fast speed. The orange-haired boy got even more cautious. "Damn it is he trying to confuse me?" he wondered frustrated.

Seeing how lost Jurou was, Guy knew that the time to strike was now. "Time for me to put on a show! Leaf Hurricane!" he declared and quickly landed a powerful kick on Jurou's stomach that made him flying. But Guy was not finished and jumped up in the air and proceeded to kick him rapidly. "How about some more!?" he taunted as he gave everything he had on his feet.

As he felt those kicks, Jurou coughed out blood as he could actually feel how hard they felt. "What…..kind of…..kicks are those!?" he wondered in his head. But he slowly began moving his arms and Guy could spot it. The brown-haired kid knew he had to change course, so he quickly appeared behind Jurou's back. This took the orange-haired boy by surprise, as he was wrapped up in bandaged from Guy's arms. Jurou realized that he couldn't move. "My body…it won't move!" he expressed frustration as Guy held him captive up in the air.

Guy smirked at seeing his opponent's reaction to this. "I hope you're not afraid of heights, Jurou! This is gonna be one dizzy trip, so hold on tight!" he said and all of a sudden, Guy began spinning around in the air while holding Jurou wrapped in his bandages. As they were spinning faster, Guy drew Jurou with him onto the floor. "HERE WE GO! PRIMARY LOTUS!" the brown-haired boy shouted as they both clashed on the floor, causing a shockwave in the process.

Naurto and his friends gasped at seeing what Lee's son was capable of doing. The blonde-haired man quickly turned to him, who only smiled with confidence. "Heh, that's my boy! Always so enthusiastic when using this technique" he remarked with a chuckle at the end.

"You don't say" Naruto replied back, as he completely agreed with Lee's words.

There was dust covering the area once Guy got up on his feet and fixed his eyes upon his team. He faced them while giving them a thumb with a grin forming across his face. "Well, did you enjoy the show?" he asked them loud.

While Hisoka only stared at him dumbfounded, Hideki felt incredibly embarrassed by this. He began sweating and looked to another direction to pretend he wasn't listening. "That idiot…must you always do this?" he wondered in his head.

"You damn moron! Focus on your opponent!" Hisoka scolded him.

The brown-haired boy scoffed at his words. "Give me a break, Hisoka! I pummeled Jurou onto the floor! There's no way that he could've survived…" he paused once he could hear something moving through the dusts. As he quickly turned around, he could see skeletal bullets heading towards him. With tough luck, Guy narrowly avoided them by immediately downing himself to the floor.

The skeletal bullets continued to drill holes in the wall and Guy couldn't believe his eyes. He quickly got up on his feet and as the dusts settled, Jurou was standing there, this time his torso completely exposed.

"No…..no way!" Guy said while panting.

The orange-haired boy faced his opponent with deadly eyes, and Guy could tell that they were real. Bones began sprouting out from his torso, shoulders and arms. "Your taijutsu is more advanced that I originally predicted, Rock Guy. Therefore, it would only be logical if I also stopped holding back my strength" he said and fell on his knees as the skeleton within him created a spine made of bones. He even made a cartilage that functioned as a tail and whip. "Clematis Dance: Vine" he said while slowly standing up on his feet.

"What in the world?" Guy was at loss of words. "He created a spine with his own skeleton?" he wondered.

"It is as you suspect. These are the bones from my skeleton. One of the Kekkei Genkais I was born with grants me the power to manipulate them at will. It is what is also called the Shikotsumyaku" he revealed to him with a serious voice. But he suddenly held up his right arm and it began morphing itself into something. "But the other Kekkei Genkai, allows me to absorb natural energies, as well as change my physical bodies!" he said and his right arm was now formed into an axe.

Kotone's eyes widened by what her teammate just did. "Oh no, he just did it! He's using that innate ability of his!" she expressed her worries. "I pray to god that he won't lose his mind to rage" she silently said.

Aoi had a similar look in his eyes. "The scariest truth about Jurou is the fact that he has inherited Kekkei Genkais from two clans with uncontrollable lust for fighting and madness. But even so, he is very calm and possesses no love for bloodshed or violence" he noted lowly by what he was seeing. "However, I wouldn't wanna be in that goofball's shoes right now. Despite his calm demeanor, Jurou can kill you and rip your body to shreds if he feels like doing it" he added.

As much as it seemed troubling for him, Kaito only watched the match with his stern eyes while crossing his arms. "I sense no signs of bloodlust and aggression within the kid, but I can tell that he's beginning to sound interested in this Rock Guy, considering that he was able to land damage on him" he noted in his head and suddenly began shutting his eyes. "When the Hidden Mist learned that there was another survivor from the Kaguya Clan Massacre, they wanted to kill it on sight at first. But they realized that the survivor was a young girl with an incredible frail body. She had been adopted by an elderly woman in the countryside of the Land of Water and raised there until adulthood" he recalled something in his head and suddenly stared into the palm of his bandaged hand. It was as if he was lost in thoughts. "That young woman became quickly friends with a jounin from the Mist, who had previously served in the ANBU Black Ops. It was thanks to that friendship that she was able to survive" he noted in his head.

Jurou was talking small steps towards Guy, who only stood still and did nothing. Surprisingly, the axe on his arm reverted back to a hand. But the spine and the bones were still there on him. "I can smell your fear even from the distance between us. From what I can tell, you are afraid of me" he suddenly spoke up.

These words caused Guy to snap in realization. "What is this feeling? Is it…fear?" he wondered in his head. He could his entire body shiver, but the brown-haired boy stubbornly resisted it and clenched is bandaged fists. "I must not let him destroy me psychologically. I must stand tall!" he insisted in his head.

By seeing his stance, Jurou paused walking. The expression on his face was still faced with displeasure. "I have no desire to eliminate you. However, I will be happy to show you the true meaning of humility!" he explained and while he was speaking, many jet-like appendages began forming on his back along with the spine and were ready to blast off. "Feel the pain!" Jurou exclaimed and he immediately took off with the blast and was heading towards a desperate Guy.

In desperation, the boy in grey jumpsuit sought to avoid getting hit by jumping to the sideways, but he was too slow. Jurou managed to catch him with his arms and held up his opponent, until they both hit the wall, with Guy taking most of the damage. Blood sprouted out from his mouth.

By seeing this, Guy was mortified. "What manner of creature is he!?" he wondered in shock.

Tsunade was sensing a grim atmosphere taking hold in the caverns and it made her feel at unease. But she was the Hokage, so she knew that there was nothing for her to fear with regards to the children. "A tactical genius with close relations to the Fifth Mizukage, a girly swordswoman from the Hozuki clan and now a deadly possessing the Shikotsumyaku and another Kekkei Genkai. It seems like the Hidden Mist have made a wise decision in sending this team for the Chuunin Exams" she noted lowly to her assistants.

"Tell me about it" Shikamaru replied. "But couldn't they at least have gotten a team that was not composed of…you know….serious and ruthless fighters?" he suddenly asked her.

"Why are you allowing yourself to be intimidated by mere kids?" the stern voice came from Sasuke, who had begun eying the man with ponytail in a manner that seemed like he was disappointed in him. "You were appointed to be an advisor to the leaders of the Leaf Village, yet all I hear from you is your laziness and stupidity. Just get your shit together" he added with a statement.

Shikamaru did not take kindly to being spoken to like this, so he flipped his middle finger at Sasuke in return. "Speak to my finger instead, asshole!" he said. But he was calmed down by Sai.

Despite his rudeness, Sasuke only scoffed at Shikamaru and never took his words seriously. Instead, he fixed his eyes upon Naruto and Tsunade, who knew that there was something he knew about this team of Mist genins.

"Unlike this moron right there, I happen to know some facts about Jurou Kaguya" Sasuke revealed to them, while ignoring an angry outburst from Shikamaru. "I'll admit that I don't know who his mother is, but I actually know that boy's father" he added.

Both Tsunade and Naruto were surprised at this. But Naruto suddenly fixed a bored look on his face. "And let me guess, it was another ninja from the Mist Village who has now returned home?" he asked sarcastically.

"There are a few falsehoods in your sentence, Naruto. Yes, he was a former partner of mine. However, Jugo was born homeless. As was the clan he was from" he corrected him.

This made Naruto change his mood. "Hold on. Are you talking about that orange-haired pacifist that fought with us during the world war?" he asked in curiosity.

"I see. It was the man who was afraid to lose his mind to rage, so he was recruited by Orochimaru, believing that he could actually help him cure his rage" Tsunade recalled from what she knew of Jugo. "An understandable but foolish mistake, Orochimaru never cared about helping him at all" she added with a hint of disgust.

"Yes, but it wasn't Orochimaru that made him wanna stay in the Sound Village, Hokage. Rather, it was the only friend he ever had. And that friend was the previously declared last survivor of the Kaguya Clan Massacre decades ago: Kimimaro Kaguya" Sasuke told them.

Both Lee and Naruto knew who he was speaking of and they both recalled the day they fought him many years ago as teenagers. In fact, Lee was beginning to realize something and it made him worried.

"Kimimaro…I remember him" he thought while recalling how he put on a good fight, but struggled against the Sound ninja. "At that time, he was probably the most advanced opponent I had ever faced, if not Gaara" he noted while collecting the pictures. "However, I Gaara hadn't come to my assistance on that day…I probably wouldn't have made it out alive from that fight" he concluded and suddenly fixed his eyes upon the fight taking place below. He could see that Jurou only stood there, watching as Guy was sitting against the wall, with blood running across his chin. This only made things worse for Lee. "He may be just a teenager, but I'm afraid that he is someone who isn't keen on showing mercy towards his opponents" he added to his explanation.

As he only watched Guy struggle and wincing in pain, Jurou quickly turned around and walked away. This made everyone confused, including Guy. Why was he doing that? The orange-haired boy stopped and looked over his shoulder to face his struggling opponent. After doing so, he made a hand seal.

"Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Jutsu" he said and he suddenly breathed out a thick mist from his mouth and nose. The mist covered the arena and those on the tribunals couldn't see them. But deep in the mist, both combatants could see each other. But so far, Jurou had not made a move since he unleashed the mist, something which made Guy very cautious. "I have a question for you. Are you incapable of performing ninjutsu and genjutsu?" he suddenly asked him, still having his back facing Guy.

The brown-haired boy was filled with outrage over hearing this statement. To him, Jurou was treating Guy like he was on the verge of defeat. He hated that and gritted his teeth, while slowly standing on his knees. "Of course I am incapable. But what makes you think knowing this will help you defeat me!?" he demanded to know from his opponent.

Jurou only closed his eyes while hearing this. "I see" he said lowly and turned around to actually face his opponent, thus opening his eyes. "Then you might as well forfeit this match and exit the tournament as a whole. The Chuunin Exams have no use for a talentless imbecile like you" he said, and it felt like a stung in the heart to Guy.

By hearing these words, rage began burning inside of him and he slowly got up on his feet. "Take back what you just said!" he said lowly while panting at the same time. His wired eyes were both concentrated on the orange-haired boy. "You dare…..rate me as a…talentless imbecile!?" he demanded to know from him.

Jurou's expression remained unfazed. "I'm only doing you a favor by giving you this advice. You are lucky that I'm not someone who enjoys watching their opponents in pain. As a matter of fact, I pity you" he suddenly revealed to him.

Guy could no longer stand being treated this way. He began clenching his fists tightly. He was really mad at his opponent and for some reason, the mist began moving. Jurou noticed this and became suspicious. But as he looked around, he could notice chakra enveloping around Guy.

"That's strange. I sense chakra bursting out of him. And what's with the expression on his face?" he wondered in his head.

Guy could feel the veins in his body twitch thanks to the technique he was using. His brown hair rose up and his skin became redder, much to Jurou's surprise. "It looks like he really isn't convinced about my true strength. I will just have to force him to accept me as a worthy opponent! Gate of Rest!" he noted in his head and the chakra began growing more powerful. "I was saving this technique for the finals, but it looks like I will have to give everything I got" added while forming a slight smile on his face. "Hideki-sensei, Hisoka, dad and everyone, watch this! Gate of Limit!" he shouted and his power cleared the mist from the arena and everyone could see the fight again.

Lee's eyes widened at what his son was attempting to do, as were Guy's sensei and teammate. He couldn't believe it. "Guy…..why are you…" Lee uttered out the words in surprise. "I thought you were saving it for the finals!" he added.

"That little brat" Hideki thought while observing the ongoing match. "He can't be serious! Is he intending on using the Eight Inner Gates!?" he wondered.

Hisoka was now starting to actually take interest in his teammate. He activated his Kaminiraigan to get a better perspective. "Hold on. He has already opened….5 GATES!" he exclaimed. "But he has always been able to fight by opening three gates!" he added lowly.

As Guy was all powered up, he could feel some cuts on his face. Even so, he remained defiant to his injuries and prepared his fighting stance once again, with his bright eyes now facing a shocked Jurou, who immediately did the same thing.

"HERE I COME!" Guy shouted and before Jurou knew it, Guy vanished from his spot and appeared right before him. The brown-haired boy quickly landed a punch on his left cheek, sending his opponent flying before he could even come up with a defense.

But Jurou quickly landed on the floor with the help of two weapons made of his bones. As he stopped, blood ran out from his mouth and nose. "He actually managed to attack me on sight!? That ugly son of a….." he was interrupted by Guy once again, who this time, swung his feet at him. This sent Jurou rolling on the floor. It felt so painful that Jurou was only standing on his knees as he got up. "You….BASTARD!" he angrily cursed.

Guy was jumping in the air and was intending on attacking his opponent from that location. But Jurou caught wind of it and used his long cartilage to attack him. Surprisingly, Guy quickly avoided it with ease and proceeded to dive at his opponent. "YOU ARE TOO SLOW!" he said loudly in return.

Jurou quickly got up on his feet and sprouted his bones on his arms and chest. "I don't think so! Bone Guard!" he roared and he blocked his chest with his arms, now dotted with his bones.

As Guy landed on the floor, he bent down and surprisingly managed to catch Jurou's hips with his left arm, although bones quickly sprouted out. But the brown-haired boy resisted the pain and used his right fist to land a punch on his opponent's stomach, eventually sending him up in the air. In the air, blood was sprouting out from Jurou's mouth. "Shit…what kind of power does that clown possess!?" he wondered aloud, but suddenly noticed that he was being wrapped in in bandaged once again.

To his shock, Guy was standing on top Jurou while holding him captive. His essence was filled with strength and Jurou could see it in his eyes. The orange-haired boy couldn't move a muscle while being wrapped up in bandages. "IT'S NO USE! YOU WON'T BREAK LOOSE FROM THESE BANDAGES!" Guy shouted and quickly jumped in the air. "NOW I WILL MAKE YOU REGRET YOUR DECISCION TO UNDERRATE ME! REVERSE LOTUS!" he shouted before delivering a powerful hand palm against his opponent sending him downwards to the floor.

A large explosion erupted in the middle of the arena and dust began to cover it once again. Everyone was very convinced that Guy would emerge the winner after pulling that attack. The boy in grey jumpsuit landed on his feet, but as his skin began reverting back to normal, blood streamed from all across his body. Furthermore, he found himself falling to his knees and it shocked him. Soon, he felt everything except his head was numb.

As he tried to clench his fists, it proved futile as they wouldn't obey his command. Furthermore, he felt his toes were frozen and they also didn't obey his command. The brown-haired boy tried to raise his arms, but the moment he did it, it felt incredibly painful. Guy managed to fold his arms, although his hands were unmovable.

"No…it can't be….my arms…my feet…I've….." the young boy was at loss of words amidst the dust. "I don't understand! Is this the price you have to pay for using the Eight Inner Gates!?" he wondered in despair.

"DESPAIR!? IS THAT WHAT YOU CALL DESAPIR!?"Guy's eyes snapped in fear as the dust settled.

Everyone was watching in awe, as Jurou was standing in his two feet but in a different form. His face was gradually changing into a darker color while both his arms had transformed into two jet-booster arms. There was even another one created on his back. The orange-haired boy began grinning at him sadistically, which was actually a very rare thing for him to do.

"Don't looks so surprised! You did manage to catch me in that attack of yours, and I couldn't move my arms. But that didn't prevent me from transforming them standstill!" he said and suddenly brandished his arms. "Living Wall Fist: Style One!" he called out. "Did you honestly believe that I would be defeated by a miscalculating trick like that!?" he demanded to know and suddenly began laughing at the pain he was in.

As he could see his opponent laugh at him, Guy realized that he had pushed to his limits…for nothing. This feeling actually made him sad and frustrated at the same time. "After all the hard training with dad…this is what I achieved!?" he wondered in his head. "All this pain and frustration…its only makes things worse!" he added to his thoughts.

But Guy's attention was brought on Jurou, who was now standing right before him with his two scaled arms. The look on his face, it was that of arrogance and amusement at the same time. It really hurt Guy.

"Why the long face? Can't you move your arms and feet?" he asked him, but soon chuckled when he realized that it was the answer. "How tragic, all that hard work and you have been reduced to…this!" he added mockingly.

To the brown-haired boy's eyes, this was torture. Yes, he had experienced similar episodes like this when he was younger. But in those episodes, he actually possessed the strength to fight back their taunts and bullying. Now, he was just sitting ducks before his opponent in shame.

"I admit that the attack you pulled was impressive, especially for someone who's only reliant on taijutsu" Jurou suddenly commended him, but also began readying his right scaled fist, which was empowered by chakra. "However, I still haven't taught you about humility! Allow me to demonstrate it…RIGHT NOW!" he declared and his fist slammed Guy, sending him flying towards the wall.

It was a loud crash and Guy was now sitting against it, still being unable to move his arms or even stand on his feet. He winced in pain, but got snapped once he could see his opponent taking small steps towards him.

His teammates had only gotten even more worried about this situation, especially Jurou's current attitude. Even Kaito was beginning to feel unease by just looking at him.

"This is not good! That goofball has actually managed to drive Jurou to the point of giving in to his hidden bloodlust and ruthlessness in combat!" Aoi noted lowly. "Only a few people have managed to do that. But the results…..not good…..not good at all!" he added.

"At this rate, Jurou will not even listen to reason. He desires nothing but to actually kill that doofus in cold blood" Kotone thought in her head with fear in her eyes.

"Jurou…." Kaito was in deep thoughts about this. "Whatever you do, do not kill him! Not while he's unable to even stand on his feet" he added to his thoughts.

Tsunade couldn't believe what she just witnessed and felt that things were not easy. Naruto and the others could see that on her expression. "I don't believe it! That boy survived the strongest attack Guy could pull!" she exclaimed with shock. But she could notice how immobilized the brown-haired boy was. "Guy hasn't been moving a muscle since he used it. He can't move his feet or arms!" she added.

"Then that means he's unable to continue fighting. Hard as it may be, he can't even defend himself from an attack now" Naruto remarked lowly. "Jurou has won, so we must declare him the winner of this round" he added.

"Yeah, but I can see that this kid isn't his usual self anymore!" Shikamaru said with a hint of worry. "He can't keep torturing Guy like that! We better do something, damn it!" he cried to his comrades.

Hisoka was starting to actually feel worried about Guy, and he was about to jump, only to be held back by Hideki. The young boy faced his teacher angrily. "Are we just gonna stand there and watch him die!? Quit acting like a fool and do something decent for once!" he demanded him.

Hideki only grunted in return. "Why don't you shut your ass up and take a look at who's actually standing up for him now!?" he demanded in return and pointed his finger to someone standing a few meters from Guy's location.

It was Lee! The adult was actually blocking Jurou's way, thus preventing him from going any further. His son only watched this in awe, even though he had little energy left to even stay awake. Jurou stopped and only glanced at Lee with dispassion. The adult however, was fixing a very serious expression on his face, even though the orange-haired boy didn't seem to care.

"Turn around and walk away from this! You have already won the match! What good you think will come out from you torturing an immobilized opponent?" he asked while requesting sternly.

"And just who the hell do you think you are, telling me what to do?" Jurou asked in return. "I advise you to step aside if you don't want me to pin your ass against the wall beside that fool behind you!" he spoke with such profane language, which was something Jurou usually never did.

Lee narrowed his eyes in return, as he couldn't stand being spoken to like that. "That "fool" behind me, is my OWN son. And I am his father: Rock Lee!" he told him strictly while his fists tightened. "I may not know what kind of gruesome practices you have in your village. But here, we let defeated opponents be. So I ask you one more time, turn around and let this match end" he explained while warning him sternly.

The orange-haired boy was actually surprised when Lee had told him of who he was. He knew who Rock Lee was and what he was capable of doing. While standing there surprised, his arms began reverting back to their original forms and his face as well. Without even saying anything, Jurou turned around and walked away, but not before saying something by looking over his shoulder.

"In that case, I may as well tell you this: your son may be strong, but I'm stronger than he will ever be. He's not even worth killing!" he said and took off.

Udon, who had been clinging himself to the corners stepped forward to end this match. Surprisingly he had managed to stay alive amidst this rumble. "Winner of the final match: Jurou Kaguya" he said loudly.

By hearing his opponent becoming the winner, Guy noticed his vision fading away. It was not because he had lost his sight, but because he was lost of energy. He couldn't take it anymore and fell into unconsciousness. His stomach was lying on the floor.

"I…I…..I have lost….I have failed….I have been…defeated" was all the words that streamed through Guy's mind. Surprisingly, a slight smile formed on his mouth. "Forgive me…..dad…Hideki-sensei….Hisoka…..Kimiko….and the sweet cherry pie" he added with the last word referring to Nashiko of course.

The pinkette watched in shock as Guy was picked up by the medics. As much as she found his persona to be incredibly ridiculous, she felt very sorry for the brown-haired boy, given that he just lost. She still recalled the day they first met and how he had told Shunsuke that she along with Itachi was someone he wished to fight. But in this case, it was no longer optional. Guy was officially out of the Chuunin Exams.

"This is terrible…" Shunsuke noted while seeing this. "Guy really is incredibly strong and durable. But yet, he lost" he added with sympathy.

"Don't worry about him, kids" the reasoning voice of Menma could be heard. The man with the light-brown hair only grinned at them with confidence. "As much as I hate to agree that Guy is in a critical condition, I refuse to believe that his days as a shinobi are over. No, we all witnessed how very talented he was and the determination he carries within. That is why I believe he will return fighting" he assured them and somehow, it made both Nashiko and Shunsuke feel at peace.

Both Hideki and Hisoka had both been silent since seeing Guy loosing. But even though he looked gruff on the outside, they felt sorry for their fellow member of Team Hideki on the inside. This was perhaps the case with Hisoka, who now realized that his teammate was not to be dismissed as a failure.

"Guy, there are many subjects that I could clash with you on. But even so, I admit that…you did a great job in your fight" Hisoka thought while seeing his comrade being taken away.

Hideki had similar thoughts. But there was something else inside his head. "Why? Why did you resort to such tactics, Guy? Didn't I warn you that if you went beyond your limits, your body would be exhausted?" he wondered in his head. "However, I am proud to be your teacher, boy. You gave everything you had within you until the end. In fact, I admire you more than Hisoka" he admitted to his thoughts.

The moment Jurou got back to his team he was warmly embraced by Kotone, much to his annoyance. "You did great out there, Jurou!" she praised him.

"Just let go of him, Kotone! He doesn't like it!" Aoi scolded her, but the four-eyed girl only stuck a tongue out at him in return. The brown-haired boy only sneered by seeing this. "Always so bitchy, I see" he remarked, much to his teammate's anger.

While Aoi and Kotone were having their argument, Jurou decided to sit against the wall, beside his teacher. Truth be told, he and Kaito had many things in common, especially with being silent types, although Kaito was willing to be more sociable with others.

"Jurou, what were you gonna do to him just now?" Kaito asked him lowly, not even looking at him. The bandaged man got no answer. "Were you planning on killing him? You know that would've interfered to stop you if not Lee had, right?" he suddenly asked.

The orange-haired boy closed his eyes, not wanting to waste his energy having a discussion with his sensei. "I never said I would kill him. Strong as he may be, he's not even worth it" he suddenly replied lowly. "And besides, the only thing I will ever kill without mercy…..are ninjas from the Sound Village" he said with a bitter voice. "None of those bastards deserves any mercy from what their former leader did. Orochimaru's filth must be wiped out" he added coldly.

Lee waved his hand to Naruto, signalizing that he was intending on accompanying the medics to their quarters. Naruto nodded his head in agreement. He knew that Lee had more than enough right to be there over his son, considering what a spectacular effort he had made.

"And thus ends this day's third phase of the Chuunin Exams. This sure has been one hell of a show" Naruto said to Tsunade, who agreed with him.

"Yes. And it is obvious that the finals will be twice as advanced as this" she replied. "But we will have to gather up all the winners of the third phase before we proceed. We must divide them into who will be fighting who" she added.

Naruto looked upon the tribunals and studied each team. "For now, we have nine winners from this day's third phase: six from the Leaf Village and three from the Mist Village. We better gather up all those winners" he noted in his head.

To be continued…
