Hola everybody, I am back again with another chapter of Advanced Warfare. Now the story starts to change the events of Mass Effect. Lets see how things change, also I am changing Jack's personal history a little as they never mention much about her family. So lets get started, Geromino!
LLLIIINNNEEE BBBRRREEEAAAKKK!
Jack prowled her side of the fairly large room with about ten feet between her and the suit with guards stationed in a loose semi-circle on their side while the suit poured himself a drink and offered a bottle of Jack Daniels, "Would you care for a drink Jack, I have a proposition for you to hear."
Jack glared at him and used her biotics to roughly pull the bottle towards her, to his credit he didn't react to the show of power and just took a sip of his drink. "Whats stopping me from leaving? I doubt you could stop me from leaving." She gave a flair of biotic power to emphathize her point as she took an aggressive step towards him.
He shrugged, "Maybe not but I do have something you will want to hear, plus I won't stop you from leaving after I get to make my proposal. Hell I have a small transport capable of Relay jumps you can take if after you hear me out you still want to leave. So, care to listen Jack?"
Jack gave him a glare but nodded and leaned against the cyro-pod and stared at him with a hurry up gesture. Kevin grinned and spoke, "Well, just incase you don't know I am Kevin Irons, CEO of Atlas Incorporated and I want you to work for me. You will get a great salary and Cerberus won't be able to try and get you under my protection. Plus Atlas doesn't care for thier methods and beliefs. We could make a great team Jack."
Jack snorts and starts to walk out when Kevin called out, "Did you know you have a sister Jack?" At that Jack froze and using her biotics sprinted forward at an incredible rate and held Kevin by his collar before anyone could react. Lifting him up she could see the short flicker of worry before he steeled himself and gestured for his guards to lower their rifles. "You have a little sister, when Cerberus took you you were two years old and your mom was pregnant with a girl. She was born three months after you were taken, it was the only reason your mother didn't break down from losing you. Your sister actually works here for Atlas."
Jack dropped him and took a step back and stared at him but held a glazed look as she tried to take in the fact she had family alive. She asked, her voice barely a whisper, "What about my mother?"
Kevin grimaced at that and shook his head, "She died four years ago to an infection in her lungs, I am sorry." He actually did seem sorry but she ignored it and asked, "Where is my sister and can I see her?"
Kevin nodded and gestured to a nearby table with a data-slate, "Everything you want to know is on that slate, how I found her the DNA test and how I tracked her down. She works here as a computer specialist and Comms operator in charge of coordinating our operations across the Terminus systems."
Kevin took a step to the side and watched as Jack walked out in a daze looking at the slate. Once she was gone Caemus stepped up to his side and asked, "Do you think she will stay or leave?" Kevin watched her go with a small smile and told him, "I don't know, it depends on how her reunion with her sister goes. I guess we will have to wait and see."
As he walked back towards his office to finish his paperwork, damn it to hell, Maria Sevlik asked him, "What makes you think she will go to her sister? She has never even known her in her life." Kevin glanced at her and shook his head.
"I have known a few people like Jack, well maybe not being insanely powerful biotics but I digress, who would do almost anything to see the family they never knew. I can't say that she will stay but I do know that she will meet her if just to know she is indeed real."
LLLIIINNNEEE BBBRRREEEAAAKKK!
Jack stared at the medium-sized two story house in front of her, she couldn't find the courage to go up to the door and knock, despite all the things she had done before and it scared her, even if she didn't admit it at all. How could she just expect her sister to just welcome her. She did find out her sister's name, Evaline Grayson. She was wearing a zip up hoodie so her tattoos and holster top didn't attract attention.
Finally she took a step toward the house when a yellow school bus pulled up outside the house and two kids got off, a little boy and girl about nine and seven, and ran up to the house and the door opened up to reveal a woman who at first glance looked just like Jack, but without the tattoos and and bald head. She had long brown hair held together by a loose pony tail that went straight down her back and green eyes. She smiled at the two kids and asked about their day in school and that there were cookies baking for them after they did their homework to the groans of the kids as she laughed and ushered them inside.
Jack could make up her mind when the door opened again and her sister stepped out and walked over to her, Jack couldn't decide to run or stay when her sisterstood before her. Her sister smiled at her and asked, "Is there something I could help you with? I don't mean to pry but you have been standing here for an hour looking like something was on your mind."
Jack swallowed and not knowing what to say handed over the data-slate, Evaline looked at the slate and after a moment looked at Jack with a shocked look and whispered, "Jennifer?" and pulled her unresponding form into a tight hug. Evaline was sniffling as she held her tight and whispered to her, "Mom never gave up hope that you were alive even to the day she died."
Evaline finally stepped away from her and pulled her towards the house. "Come on, I want you to meet your niece and nephew." She tried to pull Jack with her but Jack hesitated. She turned back to her confused.
Jack looked at her, "Evaline, I don't know, I haven't exactly just been away. My life isn't something I can just dump into your life. I am wanted by governments in my systems of Citadel Space, I have killed people too." She looked at Evaline, expecting horror from her and disgust but was shocked to see a determined look on her face as she tightened her grip on Jack's hand and pulled again, more insistent then before, "I don't care Jennifer, I have you back after all these years, I am not going to just let you go without a fight."
This time as she guided her towards the house Jack let her pull her to something she had never dealt with before, meeting people who were family. Once inside Evaline tried to take the hoodie but Jack shook her head and looked at the nice warm cosy home, children's toys were everywhere and the could see that it had been their's for a good long time from the photos on the wall, one in particular grabbed her attention. It a man, he was about six feet one inches tall with dark black hair and blue eyes, holding Evaline from behind with the two children she saw before standing in front of them in nice clothes, the picture seemed to be a family portrait.
Jack smiled at the happy look in her sisters eyes and looked at a couple other pictures such as her wedding photo and a couple that seemed to be from vacations and everyday moments. Jack turned when she heard Evaline call her and she walked toward the direction she heard her name and came face to face with her sister and the two children. "Kids, I want you to meet my sister Jennifer. I finally got to meet her today so let her get settled before driving her crazy with questions, okay?"
The kids nodded and waved at Jack and smiled at her. Jack was ushered to a chair and the two kids told her all about their day and some recent events like Melissa, her seven year old niece, going on a field trip to a local aquarium and Jackson, her nine year old nephew, playing soccer. As Jack was listening to them she looked at Evaline who had a small happy grin on her face as she watched them while making some sandwiches.
After a period of time that Jack was enjoying hearing about the nice life her sister had the front door opened and Jack immediately tensed for a split second until a voice called out, "Sweet-heart, kids, I am home!" The kids immediately yelled Daddy and ran to the front door yelling about thier new aunt and blabbering on as Evaline smiled.
The man from the picture came into the kitchen and hugged and kissed Evaline and then turned to Jack, "So, you must be Jennifer. I glad we get to meet, Mike Grayson. I hope you will be able to be around for a while, I know Evaline has wanted to meet her sister for a long time."
Jack nodded and shook his hand and said, "I hope so to, I did get an offer to work for Atlas but I wasn't sure if I was goign to take the job. I only found out I had a sister today, its why I came by." Evaline smiled as she put sandwiches in front of everybody and turned to Jack, "I work at Atlas too and I have to say they do give great benefits to their employees and there are plenty of employee housing nearby until you can get your own home. What kind of work would you be doing?"
Jack shrugged, "I was kinda focussing on having a sister more then what that Irons guy was offering for as a job." They were suprised at the mention of Irons. "You were offered a job personally by Mr. Irons?" Mike asked stunned while the kids had a awed look as they listened with rapted attention.
Jack nodded as she took a bite of the sandwich and started to talk, "Yeah..." Evaline interrupted and told her to chew and swallow before finishing speaking. Jack chowed at the motherly display swallowed and continued, "Yeah, he kinda helped me out of a bad spot and gave me the offer. I am thinking of taking it but I don't know, I am not much of a team player."
Evaline shook her head, "I am sure Mr. Irons knows that and has a job for you. He always does his research for people he hires personally. I think this is a great thing. You can stay with us until you get your own place and we can catch up. What kind of work do you think he will have for you?"
"Porbably combat work, I am a powerful biotic and I have practice with fire-arms and experience in combat situations." At that Evaline had a slight sad look in her eye as she could tell Jennifer was downplaying her experiences. She smiled as Melissa trying to pull her sister away from the table towards her room so she could show her dolls to her new aunt. She wasn't making much progress as Jennifer was confused until she stood up and finally started to follow Melissa upstairs.
Jackson followed trying to get her to show him some biotics while Evaline started to gather the dishes. Mike pulled her into a hug from behind and asked, "Are you okay, Sweet-heart? I know its been years."
Evaline turned slightly in his arms to look at him and smiled, "I am just happy she is here. I can tell she hasn't had a great life. She admitted to being a criminal before and having to kill people but I can also tell she doesn't want to loose the chance for a family either."
Mike nodded looking towards the stairs the others had went up and smiled, "Besides, i am sure you will help her get adjusted to normal life. I don't doubt she will be happy here. I won't stop you from helping her."
Evaline smiled as she went back to the dishes as she knew her family was finally complete.
LLLIIINNNEEE BBBRRREEEAAAKKK!
Kevin was working on forms for a contract on protecting trade conveys for the Hanar and Drell when Jack strode in despite his secretary telling her not to go in. Kevin waved her off and she closed the door. He looked up at jack and gestured to the bar and Jack immediatelty went over and poured herself a drink.
"Why did you do it?" Kevin looked up at the expected question, but he didn't expect the tone. It was quiet, almost silent. Kevin looked at her, "I knew people similar to you Jack, friends who never knew their families due to horrible experiences or events. They all hated most people but I know without a doubt they would have done anything to meet that family they lost, even if it ended badly. So I looked your family up after I found you. I wanted to see if you had family alive."
Jack mulled this over as she pondered the reasons. "Why did you buy me from the Blue Sons, I doubt it was purely for me to meet a sister I didn't know I had."
Kevin chuckled, "I doubt anyone would anymore but your right, I had other reasons. Cerberus is a pain in my ass, we stopped seven attempts of them trying to hack our network and sixteen attempts at inserting thier agents. So i know eventually we will have to deal with them. A intercepted data pack told us that Cerberus was planning on retrieving you for more experiments and possibly brain-washing so I intervened to fuck them over."
Jack laughed at that but was stopped as Kevin continued, "Plus, I was hoping to hire you or atleast get us on your non-bad side, you never know when we could have crossed paths so better to have you not hating us like you doing Cerberus. Rightfully in my opinion."
Jack swirled her drink looking contemplating his words and nodded, "So when do I start, Boss?" She asked with a sarcastic tone at boss. "After we do the usual medical check-ups and basic military training to make sure you can work with a team. Jack groaned at the mention of check-ups and glared when he mentioned her working as part of a team.
Kevin chuckled as he push a standard employee contract and security badge across the table to her with a pen laying on top. Jack walked over as she glanced at the badge and contract noticing the name on them, Jennifer Grayson. She looked at him in puzzlement, "Its so Cerberus doesn't make a connection immediately."
Jack nodded and signed the forms and started to walk out, at the door she paused for the breifest moment and said "Thanks," so quietly she wouldn't have been work unless someone was listening. Kevin didn't react as he doubted Jack had intended for him to hear her. He grinned as he imagined the changes this would cause.

Finally after a year of combat training Jack was on her first mission for Atlas, during that year she stayed with her sister and her family. Jack grew a short ponytail but left the sides shaved wearing a light grey jacket and black cargo pants with black steel-toe combat boots.
Jack stood in a dropship with her S-12 in her arms and two MP11s at her hips as her squad leader Greg Donnavon, of the four man fireteam Obsidian, stood at the front of the doors looking at them, "Alright Obsidian, we are here to retrieve a VIP from the Blood Pack. We are going in fast and hard, we can't afford to be bogged down so Jack I want you in point and go full fury." At that Jack grinned and nodded, glad her leader acknowledged her skills and utilized them. "We will be going in the side will fireteam Black will assualt the front with a team of CLAWs and AGRs to hold their attention while we head in."
Jack smirked as the red light turned green, indicating it was time to deploy. Jack immediately sprinted past Donnavon straight for the Blood Pack base with her shotgun at the ready, loaded with solid slug shells. A Vorcha stood in her way only to become a bloody smear as she gave him a biotic-enhanced punch and she turned firing a slug into another Vorcha causing his fuel tank to explode showering everyone nearby in flames and shrapnel only for Jack to ignore them as her team finished of the last two. Jack slammed into a Krogan and shoved the barrel into his mouth held the trigger firing four slugs into his head.
The rest of the team covered her as they advanced while Jack held the attention of the nearby Blood Pack. She jumped of the Krogan with a yell of "Cover!" As she dropped by a small metal barricade to let her biotics and kinetic barriers to recover as Micheal swept his PYTAEK across the Vorcha swarming in the room as the others kept the Krogan leader pinned while Jack reloaded and pulled a threat grenade out and tossed it.
Looking for the highest amount of targets she grinned and called out, "Pain Train Coming Through!" Micheal immediately stopped firing as Jack leapt out of cover slamming into the group of Vorcha causing some to splatter and others to be flung away as she fired her S-12 full auto into the surrounding Vorcha, who only had basic armor plates which helped little, who were cut down while the Krogan charged Jack and tackling her into a wall. Jack punched the Krogan square in the jaw, only causing him to stumble back as Jack pressed the advantage and kept throwing punches backed by biotic might until the Krogan grabbed a hand and pulled her to the ground and stood only to meet a RW1 to the face.
Jack looked up to see Micheal give her a hand up. The quiet man nodded to her and brought up his PYTAEK up and poured rounds at the last group of Vorcha holding the doorway. Jack pulled her MP11s and supported his storm of bullets at the Vorcha. The group moved fast as Greg checked on the assualt team's progress.
Jim Carson was holding his position behind a CLAW and fired his HBRA3 at a Vorcha flame trooper while the CLAW's machine gun roared it's fury at a squad of Krogan soldiers firing Revenants at them while AGRs rolled across the field firing grenades and machine guns while enjoying a smoke screen fired by the CLAWs. "Things are going well here but I doubt we will be able to support you inside, so hurry man."
InsideObsidian moved quickly down the corridors as Jack rammed into a squad of Vorcha that turned a corner, sending them flying as Jack fired into the flying bodies as Micheal poured rounds down the corridor at the three Krogan charging them as Megan fired her IMR at them as she slid into cover while Greg used his Exo launcher to fire an explosive drone above the Krogan and kept moving towards cover as the drone took a plunge into the middle of them and detonated with signifigant force, flinging them away and allowing the team to finish them off and take off at a run as they saw their target being moved by a squad of six Krogan Warlords.
Jack slipped the visor down on her helmet as three came to a stop admist the Warlords and blew just as they looked down. Jack grinned as she fired a sluig point blank into one's eye, as he roared in pain she gave him a heavy punch to the sternum causing him to bend over into her knee. Micheal pulled out his Tac-19 and fired at the Warlord holding their VIP as Megan came in under him and grabbed the VIP as she fired her IMR into the third Warlord.
Greg pulled out his MDL as he yelled over the fight, "Jack pull back!" The team moved back as he launch several grenades into the disorganized group as they pulled back with the VIP in the middle of the team. A door opened as a Vorcha came out shocked at the sight of four Humans and a Turian only to have Jack grab him by the throat and give him a biotic Warp to the neck and flung him away.
The return was quick with just a few momentary shots fired as the Blood Pack was running out of bodies to throw at them with the bulk fighting the Atlas assault. Finally reaching the extraction point Greg contacted Jim, "VIP is extracted, I repeat, VIP is extracted. Pull out Jim."
Jim was firing at a Vorcha team as the AGRs were pulling back towards the drop as the CLAWs did a slow steady walk backwards, still pouring heavy weapons fire into the Blood Pack squads while Jim's team sprinted and luanched themselves up towards a dropship flying past allowing the ship's guns fired cover for the CLAWs.
LLLIIINNNEEE BBBRRREEEAAAKKK!
Kevin looked at the alert on his computer telling him the VIP was recovered and grinned, he knew Jack would be able to work as a team player. He sent a message to his clients to let them know they had recovered their man. He checked a couple forms as he received a message from an agent on the Citadel.
"Agent Blaine, what is going on there?" He noticed she had a panicked look on her face. "Sir, look at the Citadel News quickly!"
Kevin hit a switch and paled as he saw the news line that Elysium was under attack. Kevin paled as this was a warning that canon events were starting up and the Geth attack was soon. "Contact combat groups Elipsilon, Gamma, and Hades. Keep that colony out of Pirate hands."
Comm specialists contacted the combat groups and gave orders to Atlas Naval Forces and gave them orders to escort and support the Combat Groups for the operation. Hundreds of soldiers were being sent to Elysium to fight off the Pirates. Alliance combat groups were still days from being prepared due to the stretched thin nature of the Alliance military and navy.
Kevin knew of many military and private citizens that disagreed with the Alliance's idea of spreading so far without any defensive measures to protect the colonies. This attack was proof that the Alliance was still run by idiots and self-importance bastards who were only caring about their own power and prestige.

The next chapter will be the Elysium attack and then Torfan after that! Also to answer a review
Woodsie: yes that is true but Kevin isn't like most people, he has trust in his men and their combat power. Atlas' tech is for the most part superior to the rest of the galaxy mainly due to the fact they don't know how to counter is efficiently. He feels safe enough now during major firezones he will see the need to stay away from the operation bases.
