Hello everyone, I know its been a while since my last chapter but I have been studying for my midterms and a case of writers' block. I hope everyone likes the chapter. I had a couple guests want me to bring in COD: Infinite Warfare material but I don't know anything about it and I don't want to try bring multiple games together. Read and Review, I also own nothing.

Eden Prime, 1 hour into invasion

Eden Prime had been considered a paradise for almost as long as it had been settled but that peace was shattered by the Geth invasion. Geth fighters dueled Atlas and Alliance fighters as AA-guns fired while the ground-side battles waged across the planet surface as Geth troopers fought a bitter battle against the Atlas forces after Alliance personnel were nearly wiped out from the Geth "plasma" weaponry. Titan tanks rolled through roads trading shots with Colossi as combat teams ran across streets and roof tops keeping Stalkers from easily attacking civilians running from the battles. Goliath suits escorted convoys as Armatures tried to take them out. The casualties were immense as the fight in orbit became more brutal as Atlas vessels struck hard against the Geth with viruses, logic bombs, and even denial-of-service attacks against the Geth servers as they pounded the physical forms of the Geth ships.

Ashley Williams was fighting with four Atlas riflemen as Geth assaulted their position. Her rifle was barely making a dent in the Geth shields as the Atlas forces' weapons just brute forced their way through with superior mass or were ignored with energy weapons were used by special units. AGRs rolled across the ground pouring bullets down range with the occasional humph of a launched grenade or drone. She couldn't believe the difference of quality between the Alliance and Atlas forces. Despite being a mercenary company their individual gear was superior to hers, they were still in contact with the rest of their forces while the Geth had cut off all Alliance comms within half an hour of attacking Eden Prime.

Plus their weapons were on a whole different level of firepower. They deployed more types of armour and support such as CLAWs, AGRs, and drones for air support. She only had her rifle, shotgun, and two grenades. Suddenly she noticed them pulling back. "Where are you going?" She yelled at one. "We are pulling out, there are no more civilians in this sector. I suggest you pull out as well, command might decide to deny the Geth any territory and start carpet bombing." She sprinted with them but an armature crashed to earth as she split off to avoid the massive weapon platform and was cut off from the Atlas troopers. She was chased by a couple Geth troopers and drones.

She ran for a bit before she fell onto her back as a drone zoomed in for the kill a rifle cracked as it blew the drone apart. Ashley looked to see two Alliance soldiers run towards her as she dove into cover behind a large boulder as the two took up position with her. "Commander Shepard Alliance N7. What is the status of the colony?" Ashley shook her head, "Don't know ma'am. Geth took out comms shortly after invading, the only people who kept any semblance of communications would be Atlas and they just pulled out with the last civs just now."

Shepard nodded at the bleak situation and sighed, "I am here with a Council Spectre to recover the Prothean Beacon. I need you to help me recover the asset or deny the Geth it if necessary." Shepard advanced as she fired on two Geth troopers with Kaiden supporting her with his pistol. Ashley shook her head and stepped out of her cover firing on the last trooper as it tried to take down Shepard. Three Atlas drones flew overhead firing on Geth as they evaded missile fire, one making a mistake and evading into another missile as another was hit with massed rifle fire. Shepard and her team smashed into the Geth as they were distracted by the drones. They found a CLAW pinned under a fallen tree, a speaker came to life on the CLAW as a synthetic voice spoke, "Warning, you are nearing a combat zone, civilians please evacuate the area and allow military forces to work unimpeded." The message started to repeat as Shepard started to lift the tree off the machine.

"Shepard what are you doing?" Kaiden asked her. "We can use this for support against the Geth. It doesn't see us as enemies so it must be programmed to target an enemy until updated." Kaiden used a Lift to free the CLAW as it plodded forward scanning for Geth, quickly noticing the two troopers running forward and gunning them down. Shepard grinned and said, "Well now we have heavy support. I wonder if the Alliance has though about making something similar."

She shrugged and contacted Nihlus, "Nihlus, I am on my way to the Beacon. I have picked up an Alliance trooper and am recieving support from an Atlas CLAW. I should be there momentarily." Nihlus spoke over the comm, "I am almost there as well. I can see the Geth trying to make a push against the Atlas forces to the north but Atlas seems to have set up bunkers and are holding them back well." Nihlus seemed to have a small bit of respect in his voice about Atlas.

Shepard shrugged and moved forward when her team saw a dozen spikes holding up bodies, Human bodies. Suddenly the spikes started to lower in a cascade as the bodies stood and started to run towards them in a swarm. Their bodies were emancipated and grey with blue markings across their skin, reminding her of a circuit board but she didn't think about it for long as they charged. The CLAW immediately started to fire it's machine guns at the horde but they didn't seem to even notice the holes being made in them as they mindlessly charged forward only to meet to 40mm grenades from the CLAW as it still calmly plodded towards the dwindling horde of Husks without a care that they had been Humans at one point.

Shepard fired on the last ones as they fell to the team's combined fire. She looked at one as it died. The thing barely looked Human as it decayed quickly before her eyes. Kaiden seemed to be horrified by the things as he quickly looked away and moved forward. Ashley took a moment to give a quick prayer for them and moved on. The CLAW was still just plodding on as if it just killed some training targets. Shepard stood at the top of the hill near the space port when a sharp gunshot went off from the direction of the space port. Shepard double timed it as they sprinted forward leaving the CLAW behind as it just moved at the same pace. They ran smack dab into a raging firefight as four Atlas troopers were surrounded by Geth and Husks. The ground around them was littered with the destroyed remains of Geth but also a couple Atlas and civilian bodies laid on the ground.

Shepard ran towards them as they kept fighting even as they saw her. They dropped into cover as the Atlas troopers covered them and poured shots out at the surrounding Geth. "Commander Shepard, Alliance Navy N7 division, whats the situation?" One of the Atlas forces shook his head. "We are being attacked on all sides by the geth and even we can't contact anyone due to the amount of jamming around here by the Geth." Shepard noticed he had cybernetics covering the lower half of his face as he spoke in a slight tone. She nodded, "I need to get to the space port, have any of you seen a Turian here recently?" The Atlas troopers looked at each other causing Shepard to worry. "We did but shortly after we heard a single gunshot from that direction, I have doubts he is alive, sorry ma'am."

Shepard froze at that statement, "where is he?" They pointed to a platform nearby. The last Geth were about to charge them with several Husks when the CLAW finally caught up with them and fired on the Geth, the sudden fire from another direction stalled the Geth long enough for them to return concentrated fire to bring the last down with the CLAW putting them in a crossfire.

Finally clear Shepard rushed up to see Nihlus' dead body laying there with a hole in the back of his skull. She could tell whoever killed him had to of fired the gun inside his shields to have killed him in one shot. She heard a noise nearby behind some crates. Pulling her Avenger out she pointed it at the crates and glanced at Kaiden who had pulled his pistol and nodded at her. He edged left and called out, "Who's there?" A second later a Human dressed in work clothes stumbled out with his hands high.

"Don't hurt me please." Shepard lowered her rifle and Kaiden his pistol. "Did you see who did this?" The worker nodded, "It was a Turian, they seemed to know each other. The first one was just standing there and the second came up and talked to him. The first waited until he had turned away and put a pistol to his head and fired and headed that way. I couldn't hear what they were saying." He pointed towards the railway. Shepard nodded and headed towards the rail only to see the Atlas soldiers heading that way too.

"Come on boys, we got a HVT to go after. Mr. Irons wants him alive, he doubts a single man could gain control over the entirety of the Geth Network. He wants whoever helped him." The four marines loaded their weapons and moved to the cargo lift. Geth troopers attacked but they were met with death as seven weapons fired upon them with no remorse. Shepard nodded to the leader as they headed out, the CLAW plodding behind them as it followed it's new squad. A Juggernaut charged forward only to meet a grenade launcher firing 40mm rounds into it causing it to falter and collapse. The dozen or so troopers poured suppressing fire on them as they fought their way forward. Shepard looked over to see one Atlas trooper using an Exo-Shield to block fire as she ran across an empty area of terrain.

The Atlas forces fought as a unit equal to Alliance training which drew admiration from Shepard as she saw that Atlas did train their troops unlike most mercenary groups. The heavy trooper used a large machine gun to sweep across the Geth positions and rip into any caught by it's wrath. The CLAW just stood in the open pouring rounds and raining grenades at the Geth without a care about the hits it took. It had taken a beating but was stubbornly refusing to collapse and die.

Then she noticed something that caused her to realize why the Geth were just trying to keep them pinned, there was a large explosive charge ten feet away from them counting down. "Shit! Kaiden, the Geth planted explosives! Cover me so I can defuse them." She sprinted across the dock as the Geth targeted her as they knew what she was trying to do. The Atlas leader follwed her using his Exo-Shield to give her cover as he fired his revolver at the Geth. Kneeling by the bomb he pulled the shield off his arm and used a built-in stand to prop it up as he pulled out his ARX-160 and fired a burst at a Geth Sniper aiming for Shepard.

They managed to disarm the first only to discover there were three more. "Guys there are three more bombs, I want them disarmed ASAP!" The Atlas forces Forced their way forward using kinetic barriers and Exo-Shields to tank the fire as they returned the favor as the CLAW marched forward even as it started to take damage beyond normal levels but continued as no vital systems were damaged. Shepard and her two teammates fought as they worked to shut down the bombs as Atlas took the attention off them. Finally the last Geth fell and the final bomb was shutdown and they found the Beacon but alas the mystery Turian was long gone.

Ashley was looking at the beacon commenting on the fact it wasn't glowing when they moved to the spaceport that morning. Suddenly the Beacon latched onto her as it tried to pull her close. Ashley struggled as it pulled when suddenly Shepard grabbed her and threw her away but was pulled in. A barrage of images flashed across her sight that she couldn't interpret accurately then an explosion from the Beacon threw her back knocking her out. Ashley and Kaiden ran to her as one of the Atlas troopers kneeled beside her pulling out a first aid kit and pulled out a small scanner.

"I can't find anything wrong with her brain activity except for over stimulation but I can't be certain. She needs actual medical attention to make sure." Kaiden was calling the Normandy while this was going on. Shortly after the Normandy landed close by and as it's ramp lowered several crew members ran towards them with a stretcher with an African descended man in an uniform following. As the stretcher bearers passed the Atlas soldiers the man stepped up to them. "Captain Anderson Alliance Navy. I have to thank you for your help today."

"Sargent Nick Jackson, Atlas Corp. Your welcome, we were just doing our jobs. Now I don't suppose you can give us a lift to the Citadel? We haven't been able to raise anyone over the comm and we don't know if anyone is still around to pick us up." Anderson nodded, "I was going to ask you to come with us as witnesses to the events that occurred today anyway. After we speak to the Council I will personally see to it that you receive transportation to anywhere you need."

Nick smiled and nodded, "We can meet up with Atlas Command on the Citadel but thank you. I doubt anyone will care that we are witnesses after we confirm our survival and let them know our situation." Anderson motioned for them to follow him but turned when he heard Nick call out, "Come on, Ol' Faithful." He turned to see the CLAW slowly trundle behind them as it acknowledged the order.

Shepard suddenly bolted upright as she regained consciousness, looking around she noticed she was in the Normandy's med-bay. She looked over to see Dr. Chakwas looking at a computer screen only to look up and see Shepard awake. She hit a button to let Anderson know and hurried over to her to check her vitals. "How are you feeling Shepard? Any groggy feelings or discomfort?" Anderson walked in and asked, "Shepard do you know what the Beacon was trying to do?"

Shepard shook her head. She couldn't remember much after the Beacon grabbed her except flashes of battles she couldn't make out the combatants. "All I can remember was a battle, I couldn't make out the fighters but one side was losing badly. There was an image but I couldn't really understand."

Anderson nodded, "We are on our way to the Citadel to speak to the Council about the attack. We have the Atlas... mercenaries with us as witnesses to the event." Anderson was hesitant to call the Atlas troops mercenaries but that was what they were classified as by the Citadel Council and Alliance. The troops showed discipline and training on par with some of the best the Alliance had to offer, other then the N7s.

Shepard nodded at that and tried to stand, she wobbled a little but managed to remain up and started to walked forward. Dr. Chakwas shook her head at Shepard's display of foolishness but knew she wouldn't listen unless it was serious so let her go. Shepard saw Ashley at a table outside the Med-bay and waved at her. Ashley rushed over and asked if she should be up so soon.

"I am fine enough, Ashley. I see your still with us." Ashley nodded, "Captain Anderson transferred me to the Normandy to fill Jenkins' empty position on the ground team. Although I feel like I am just filling in his shoes instead." Shepard shook her head, wincing as she did so, "Your a brilliant soldier Williams, don't worry about filling Jenkins shoes and just do your best."

Ashley looked a little better and nodded. Shepard looked around and asked, "Anderson told me we were bringing the Atlas soldiers with us to the Citadel. Do you know where they are?" Ashley gave a grimace at the mention of them. "I don't know if I would call them soldiers Commander. They are just a bunch of mercenaries, they aren't loyal to anyone but themselves. I wouldn't put it past them to try and steal the Normandy's secrets to sell to the Citadel or the highest bidder."

Shepard looked at her strangely, "Ashley they are well trained and just because they don't fight for the Alliance or any government doesn't make them like every other mercenary group in the galaxy. I have fought with them before and they are very disciplined and capable. Besides the Citadel already knows how to produce a ship like the Normandy, the Turian Hierarchy helped design and build the Normandy as an attempt to build friendly ties between us and if they know how the other Citadel Members probably could access that information."

Ashley was stunned at that viewpoint about Atlas and that the Normandy plans were already known by other races besides the Alliance. She nodded and apologized but she wouldn't trust them anyway. Shepard just shook her head and headed down to the cargo bay to check up on them. Once she suffered through the five minute elevator ride she could see the little corner they had carved out as their space. One trooper was welding a plate of titanium onto the CLAW as the others either checked their weapons, Exos, or exercised by push ups. She noticed the man she spoke to on Eden Prime looking over his assault rifle as she chatted with the female Asari on the squad. She walked up and nodded at him as she looked at the rifle.

"Nice rifle," he looked up at her and nodded, "listen, I wanted to thank you for the help back there. Is there anything I can help you guys with?" He shook his head, "No your Captain has been very respectful about our privacy and supplied us with some grub, unfortunately its no better then Atlas' rations." Shepard laughed at that as it seemed to be an universal constant that military rations were barely edible. They chatted some more until Joker spoke over the intercom, "We are about to hit the last Relay to the Citadel if anyone wants to see the Station." Shepard headed to the elevator but turned when Nick followed her. He grinned, "I find the sight of the Citadel to be amazing form the Relay."

She grinned and kept going. Finally they reached the cockpit to see Ashley and Kaiden were already there. Kaiden gave Nick a respectful nod but Ashley barely looked at him and turned away. Nick shrugged and nodded back to Kaiden. Nick glanced down at his Omni-tool as it chimed with a priority message. He nearly chocked when he saw the sender, Mr. Irons himself. Nick briefly hoped it wasn't bad news before he noticed Shepard looking at him. He gave a small smile and shook his head. She shrugged but turned towards the window, neither noticing Ashley looking at them.

Now this chapter is done. A Guest reviewer asked about what a challenge was about. Don't worry I won't kick your A**. Basically a Challenge is where a person gives a brief layout of a story idea and then other writers try and do it like a story where Shepard is from another galaxy and has to blend in with the humans as they seem similar to his people. A challenge can include who his( or her) Love Interest is, who they save on Virmire, and things like does Saren redeem himself in the end or not. Basically my challenge was where the Pyrdwen from fallout 4 in an attempt the escape the Institute trys to use the teleportation device they built to flee but ends up appearing over Omega and crashing there. After finding out they were not on their Earth anymore they must survive the harsh conditions of the galaxy at large and more immediately Omega's criminal element.

Also Anthony11899: Yes I am still working on it but I have a full college class schedule and I have midterms coming so I am needing more time to study for that. Also I don't really plan on adding anything from Infinite Warfare. To be honest Advanced Warfare is probably the last Call of Duty game I will buy except the remastered Modern Warfare if possible.

Now everyone please read and review and give me your thoughts, I feed off them. Now next chapter is a message from Kevin and the Council. Plus possibly a visit from the CEO of Atlas to meet Shepard. See you next time peeps
