Chapter 50: Dawn of a New Will
Atop the Monument District, the Village Hidden in the Leaves
Inojin Uchiha was now being confronted by his twin brother Shunsuke, as he was about to attack Noburu Yakushi from the Hidden Sound Village. The four-eyed boy had insisted that he had no intention in being here and that he was trying to escape from his chaos. But Inojin, still recalling the duel they had back on the Train Mountains was not willing to let Noburu go. He and his teammates: Chouta Akimichi and Shikaien Nara had followed the young boy's tracks and had pursued him to the Monument District. But now, Shunsuke, along with his teammates and other classmates had now interjected him.
"What do you want, Shunsuke?" Inojin asked sternly while pushing Noburu away. He then glanced at him with his narrowed eyes. "Didn't I tell you not to interfere in my…." Inojinwas interrupted by the voice of Shunsuke.
"Just let it go, Inojin. You have no idea how misguided you have become" Shunsuke insisted to him.
Inojin only closed his eyes and even fixed a smug smile as he began reflecting on what Shunsuke just told him. Shunsuke and his friends did not know what the boy with the ponytail was thinking right now. Heck, even Shikaien and Chouta had no clue as well. But it didn't take long before the raven-haired boy opened his eyes once again, thus revealing his Sharingan, much to Shunsuke's own shock.
"The Sharingan…what is…" Shunsuke was caught off guard by seeing his twin brother heading directly towards him. "What's with this speed….." the short-haired boy snapped in surprise, as he could feel Inojin standing right beside him, going as far as to hold onto his left shoulder.
Inojin fixed a smug smile with his mouth and glanced sideways at his twin brother. "I see…..I know where this is going" the boy with the ponytail remarked, much to the confusion of those around him. However, a kunai was pulled out from Inojin's right sleeve and he held it tightly "Our battle was rudely interrupted by these invaders, when we barley were getting to the finale. So in that case….." the young boy said and begun moving his kunai. "IN THAT CASE, LET US SETTLE THE SCORE BETWEEN US ONCE AND FOR ALL!" he then exclaimed with a determined voice.
As those around him were worried about Shunsuke getting cut, they became stunned when the raven-haired boy grabbed the blade of the kunai with his left hand, being willing to take the bleeding. But that was not all, as Shunsuke had even activated his Sharingan as well. He only glanced at his brother with a frown, much to the surprise of his twin brother.
"Woah…what the hell just happened?" Shikaien asked in his head, stunned by seeing how remarkable Shunsuke's reflexes were. The blonde-haired boy with the spikey ponytail then glanced over at his teammate. "Just what are you trying to pull now, Inojin?" he then wondered.
The two brothers glanced at one another with their crimson eyes, with blood dripping from Shunsuke's hand. None of them had made a move, yet it concerned those around them.
"Shunsuke…..Inojin…." Nashiko thought in her head while seeing the twin brothers preparing for the other to move or the opposite.
"Have you become this blind, Inojin!?" Shunsuke asked his brother with a hint of disbelief in his voice. "Look around you! The Leaf Village is under attack! Do you really think that we should determine the winner of our match now!?" he asked once again, not believing the kinds of stuff that went through his brother's head right now.
While Shunsuke kept holding the kunai's blade, Inojin pulled it out, thus leaving a mark on Shunsuke's hand. The long-haired boy then proceeded to attack his twin brother by delivering a powerful kick at his face, in which Shunsuke narrowly dodged. However, Shunsuke grabbed Inojin's right leg firmly, only for the boy with the ponytail to attack his face with his left foot. Shunsuke was thus sent flying a few feet away from him.
Inojin stood on his feet and looked down upon his twin brother while having his arms crossed. Shunsuke had gotten up to one feet and spat out a drip of blood from his mouth. From what the raven-haired boy could tell, Inojin did not regret his actions.
"Maybe I'm not being clear here!" Inojin said and readied his fighting stance. "I'm challenging you, Shunsuke! So either you fight or stay out of my way!" he then said in a surprisingly cold manner, that astounded his teammates.
The short-haired boy gritted his teeth in frustration, yet he slowly got up to his feet, facing Inojin with his own Sharingan. To his twin brother's own satisfaction, Shunsuke readied his fighting stance, intending on physically confronting Itachi.
"You want me to fight you? Fine! I'll do it! But just remember, you asked for this, Inojin!" Shunsuke spoke up in a surprisingly strict manner before speeding straight towards his twin brother. Inojin was musing to himself by seeing this and began charging as well.
While running towards each other, the twins performed hand seals quickly while building up chakra within their bodies. It was apparent that they both wanted to attack each other so badly, especially with ninjutsu.
"FIRE STYLE: UCHIHA GREAT FLAME!" the two brothers exclaimed at the same time and blew out a giant fireball from their mouths. As these two fireballs clashed against one another, a small explosion was caused, causing smoke to appear on each side in the street area.
The smoke gave the rest of the group of young shinobis an opportunity to get out of the way as quickly as possible. In fact, the kids hid behind a trash can, as well as a bench were bystanders would usually sit. As they had found some objects to use as covers, they had difficulties in seeing, given that the smoke was unusually thick.
"Damn it. This smoke is too thick. I can't see a thing" Nashiko cursed as she tried to get a better look.
"I'm not gonna lie, that fireball clash of theirs was pretty impressive" Shikaien admitted to his friends, only to be given a dirty glance by Chouta. Shikaien noticed this and only shrugged his shoulders. "What? I've never seen something like this before" he told her in return.
"Who cares about that? Don't you see what's happening right now?" Chouta demanded an answer while glancing over at the thick layer of smoke. "Inojin…..what the heck's wrong with you?" the chubby girl then asked in her head.
But among them, only Takeda and Arata could see through the smoke, thanks to the Byakugan and the scent respectively. But they were not the only one, as Kotone could sense the twins' chakras, especially Itachi since she fought with him.
"I can see through the thick layer. Both of them are still alive" Takeda told his comrades while starting to have some hint of concern towards his teammate. "You really are brave to be able to stand against your brother, Shunsuke. I'll give you kudos for that. But somehow, I have a feeling that Inojin has more tricks up his sleeves, but thanks to the invasion, we never got to see them in the stadium. Will he be using them now that there's no adults to intervene and stop him?" the brown-haired boy wondered in his head while thinking about Shunsuke's match against Inojin in the stadium.
"Hey Kotone, can you can sense them, can you?" Aoi asked his four-eyed teammate, who simply did not respond to his question. Sighing deeply, Aoi looked into the smoke. "I'll take that as a yes" he flatly responded.
But while the smoke took a while to disappear, Noburu saw this as a great opportunity to make his escape. But as he was about to back out and run, he found himself completely being unable to move a muscle Looking down, the four-eyed boy noticed that his had been caught by shadow. It was the work of Shikaien's Shadow Possession Jutsu. Noburu gritted his teeth in anger.
"What the hell!? Why are you….." Noburu was interrupted by Shikaien.
"How about you shut up and let us ask the questions, while you answer them!?" Shikaien sternly suggested to the grey-haired boy as he listened. "First of all, why are you here in the Leaf Village? And second of all, what makes you think we'll believe that you're not with the invaders?" he then asked Noburu.
The four-eyed boy was now caught in a trap, and he was unable to even perform a jutsu. In anger, Noburu gave in to their demands. "Fine! I came to the Leaf Village to finish something that my father had originally started many years ago: eliminating the Leaf Village's delusional liberalists" he then revealed, much to the curiosity of the other children.
"Liberalists? What liberalists?" Chouta asked, not getting what Noburu was trying to get at.
The four-eyed boy gritted his teeth in anger. "Bonehead! By liberalists I mean all those bastards who still value the Will of Fire! People who follow that philosophy are nothing but delusional idiots, no different than those who succumb to the Curse of Hatred!" Noburu then explained.
Saburou adjusted his sunglasses. "So in other words, you came here to assassinate top politicians of the Leaf Village…..among them Nashiko's father, I suppose" the blonde-haired boy remarked, thus shocking some of his friends.
The moment Nashiko heard what was being said, she angrily confronted Noburu, although she didn't put her hands on him. The young pinkette was furious over Noburu's motives.
"YOU SICK MONSTER!" Nashiko spoke up against the four-eyed boy, while Ochinko and Takeshi were trying to restrain her from attacking him. "DID YOU REALLY PLAN ON KILLING MY DAD!?" she then asked while demanding an answer.
"Nashiko…calm down!" Ochinko urged the pinkette.
"Yeah, he's in no position to commit any assassinations for now" Takeda noted while glancing warily at Noburu. "But I agree with Nashiko on one thing, you're despicable!" the brown-haired boy said while Arata barked in agreement.
Noburu remained defiant, even as he was facing Nashiko. "Yes. I admit it! I had plans to kill that pathetic excuse for a shinobi!" the grey-haired boy spoke up, thus enraging Nashiko even more. However, the boy with glasses did not seem intimidated or threatened. "But before I could even pull the trigger on my crossbow…something stopped me" he then admitted, his voice lowering.
"Tch, as if that will make us feel any form of sympathy towards you!" Shikaien said with a scoff. "Now spit it out! Did the Sound Village send you to do this?" he then questioned sternly.
"No…...I am acting on my own" Noburu said, even beginning to face the ground with gritting teeth. "I defied an order from my village's leaders and my sensei. And truth be told, I do regret in doing this to them, especially since it was the Sound Village who raised me" the boy with glasses went on explaining.
Although Nashiko had wanted to punch Noburu right in the face, given what he had done in the past, something inside the pinkette told her to restrain her anger. At the same time, it also urged her to stop focusing on violence and more on common sense. Therefore, she would not resort to punching Noburu to a pulp. Nashiko merely huffed at him.
"You can shove that sob-story of yours up your ass. I would be just fine if you left the village!" she told him.
Noburu only scoffed in return. "Fair enough! I never wanted to become allies with you anyway!" the boy with the glasses spat back in return. But for some reason, he could not control his right hand, as he began slapping himself on his right cheek. The slap was very hard. "Ouch! What the hell!?" he said, only to see that it was Shikio who had done that. That's right, the young boy was willing to even slap his own cheeks that hard.
Shikaien's eyes narrowed at Noburu. "Don't push your luck, four eyes. Over my dead body would I ever become an ally to you" the punkish boy responded sternly. "Now shut up for a second or two. Otherwise, I'm gonna slap my entire face, which will make you destroy your own glasses" he then threatened him in a cunning manner.
"Damn you…." Noburu cursed by being held at Shikio's mercy.
Chouta sighed by what she was seeing and even dropped a sweat. "Really, Shikio? Why do you have to be such a showoff?" the chubby girl asked in her head.
Nashiko and the others began noticing the smokes vanishing, indicating that she and they could now see how the fight between Inojin and Shunsuke went. "Why are those two still fighting? There is no reason to do this in a battle" the young pinkette then wondered in her head.
The group of kids watched in awe as both the Uchiha-Yamanaka twins stood face to face in the middle of the street. Neither of the brothers had made a move against the other. They only stood and glared at one another with their crimson eyes. From what people, could tell, they seemed to be now having a serious staring contest, with none of them opening their mouths to even pant.
"Inojin…...listen" Shunsuke finally broke the silence when he spoke up. "I don't know what has gotten into you, but you need to swallow your pride and let this desire of yours go. Instead of focusing on each other, we should be concentrating on the invaders!" the raven-haired boy insisted to him.
However, Inojin's glance remained unfazed. The boy with the ponytail was even now forming a slight smirk with his mouth, indicating that he didn't care about what Shunsuke just told him.
"Don't you know anything?" Inojin asked while closing his eyes. "To me, a mere invasion like this does not stop us from finishing a duel like this. Therefore, it either fight…OR DIE!" he then revealed while opening his eyes once again.
But Shunsuke was in for a shock, as Inojin's Sharingan began transforming itself into the Mangekyo Sharingan, where his irises were formed like the letter x. It was a terrible view for him to see this.
"What the…..it's the Mangekyo Sharingan!" he noted in his head, while seeing how darkness was slowly taking hold on Inojin. Shunsuke was very uncomfortable with this, and even snapped as Inojin began taking small steps towards him. "Inojin…..stop this!" he then began requesting him with a hint of desperation in his voice.
Despite his twin brother's plea, Inojin did not give in. "If you're scared, you can run away. That is what I suggest to you right now" the boy with the ponytail told him.
Shunsuke's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're…..you're starting to sound a lot like dad" he noted, thus making Inojin stop in his tracks. Apparently, Inojin had felt stunned when he had heard what his brother just said. A burning determination was building inside of the young boy. "You said it yourself after hearing about the atrocities dad committed! You vowed never to take a path similar to him, nor starting to take after him! Yet, here you are treating me like I'm not your brother!" Shunsuke then pointed out to Itachi.
Inojin gritted his teeth in anger over hearing this and clenched his fists tightly. "Bastard…." He spoke up lowly, as something began forming into his hands. As Shunsuke and his friends got a closer look, they could see black flames coming out from it. The back flame in his right hand began transforming itself into a sword. "DON'T YOU EVER COMPARE ME TO HIM!" Inojin angrily yelled as he charged towards Shunsuke, who remained still.
Shunsuke was standing still and had not moved an inch. However, determination burned inside of him and he knew something had to be done. As Inojin was nearing him, Shunsuke surprisingly charged at him with only a kunai in his hand. His friends were outraged by what they were seeing.
"A kunai against black flame!? You're crazy, Shunsuke!" Takedacalled out to his friends, not believing what he was seeing just now.
But despite what he was up against, Shunsuke headed straight towards Itachi, intending on meeting him head on. He gritted his teeth in anger as he was about to clash with his twin brother.
"I'M NOT GIVING UP YET!" Shunsuke declared loudly as he even went as far as to yell.
At the gates of the Leaf Village
While the arrival of the Akimichi clan had bolstered the gate's defenses, the sieges was far from over. In fact, a large cannon had been able to fire another spinning ball towards the wall of earth and wood blocking the entrance. And it was just as Captain Yamato predicted, the enemy would still do any attempt to break through the walls and enter the village.
But now that there were no hindrances at the entrance, it enabled the army of soldiers and siege vehicles to enter the village, thus forcing the shinobis to concentrate on the enemy inside rather than the enemy outside.
In fact, three members of the Akimichi clan were currently dropping hot and warm lava from cauldrons and down on the machines. While it did destroy them, the soldiers clad in iron managed to avoid it and proceeded to find whatever target that was possible. Naruto and the other shinobis stationed at the entrance were fending off the attacks. The blonde-haired man had called Kurama to his side and together, they dispose of the dangerous siege engines that were threatening the village.
"That should teach these bastards to not mess with the Lead Village" Naruto thought in his head while watching the various scraps that lied before him. He glanced upon the armored soldiers, who had begun retreating, knowing that Naruto was very powerful.
Lee and Sai came to his side, being proud of their friend and future Hokage in taking care of the machines. "Good work, Naruto! That should send them a message!" Lee praised him while raising his thumb.
As much as Naruto felt appreciative, he could not smile, as he looked to the entrance. New machines entered by the minute. His friends could also see this and they became stressed by the minute.
"Their numbers are limitless!" Sai exclaimed and suddenly watched the walls where Leaf shinobis were clashing with the enemy soldiers. "Even though we're able to hold off against them, their numbers just keep popping up!" the pale-skinned man remarked with a hint of distress in his voice.
Lee formed a frown when seeing this. "We will be joined by the Inuzuka and Hyuuga clans soon. But is that even enough for us to take on the army of machines outside the gates?" he then asked his friends.
Meanwhile at the gates, Chouza Akimichi was inspecting the cauldrons alongside Ibiki and Yamato. They could see that both tall cauldrons had used up their lava. This left them distressed.
"Damn! We're out of lava!" Ibiki cursed and suddenly threw a kunai-bomb at a charging group of armored soldiers, who at first used their shields to protect themselves. But this kunai-bomb caused a deadlier explosion and their armors could not protect it from them. The serious man then glanced out from the watchtower to see the army of machines lining up. "And there is no end to these machines either! The rest of our shinobis are busy with treating the injured, helping the civilians escape or fighting the Elemental Ascendants. Our lines are stretched thin!" Ibiki then added to what he was seeing.
Yamato nodded his head at him while panting. The brown-haired man had sustained minor injuries on his cheeks. "Yes. These invaders are smarter than we had originally thought. Somehow, they are resorting to tactics that leads to dividing us defenders from one another. And while we were concentrated in the enemy inside, these infernal machines gathered outside the village! Shit!" Yamato cursed while slamming his fist on the edge.
But all of a sudden, a small hint of sound wave could be felt from those standing on the walls, and they could see that it even spread across the nearby forests outside the gates. For some reason, the army of machines stopped on their tracks, as did their soldiers. All of them wondered what had just happened.
But the answer soon came to life, as a big explosion erupted on the siege machines that were positioned far behind in the lines. This explosion was gigantic and it managed to take along many siege machines, as well as soldiers and nearby trees. A pile of dust sprouted up towards the skies. But the Lead shinobis became stunned by what they were witnessing.
"My god…" Yamato uttered out lowly as Naruto, Lee and the other shinobis joined him. The brown-haired man faced Naruto, who happened to form a smile on his face. "What just happened? And how come you're so happy about this?" Yamato asked him.
Naruto only grinned smugly in return while pointing his finger at the giant figure that appeared in wake of the dust. "Heh. Just take a closer look and see who arrived just in the right time" he urged his fellow shinobis.
As the group looked into the direction Naruto was pointing his finger, the shinobis gasped in awe by the thing that appeared from the dust to attack the mechanical weapons. It was a giant brown-colored ox with eight tails that looked like tentacles of a octopus. In addition to that, the bull's left horn was broken.
"It can't be…is that really.." Ibiki was in disbelief over what he was seeing.
Naruto chuckled in amusement. "Your eyes are not deceiving you, Captain Ibiki. That's the Eight-Tailed Ox Gyuki. And guess who his current jinchuuriki is?" he then asked with confidence in his voice, before standing on the edge of the wall, ready to jump down. However, Naruto turned around to look at the surprised shinobis. "Anyway, his arrival just gave the perfect idea. Me and Kurama are gonna help him with that. You guys stay back here and hold the fort!" he commanded them before jumping from the wall.
While Naruto was far away from the wall, he called upon Kurama once again, this time, thus activating his Tailed Beast Mode. The giant chakra-infused fox landed on the nearby siege machines. The iron clad soldiers were in disarray over seeing two Tailed Beasts blocking their ways.
Eventually, Gyuki took notice of Kurama's appearance, although their voices were now different. "Yo Naruto, my homie! What's the beat, doggie!?" the giant ox spoke in a voice that was very familiar to Naruto.
"Is this your attempt to make a rhyme?" Naruto asked smugly through Kurama's chakra. "Man, you've really gotten sloppier lately, B" he added to his explanation.
The giant ox snapped in return. "Hey watch it, dawg! I'm still a master in rapping poetry!" the infamous shinobi of the Hidden Cloud Village named Killer B replied through Gyuki's imposing appearance. "But enough of that shit. I see that the attack has already begun. Dayum! I guess I arrived too late" he then noted.
"So you've followed recent news, including the….." Naruto was immediately interrupted by B's voice.
"Yeah, no need to fill me in! I got a call from A and we had this talk like in two hours! A giant pain in the ass if you ask me. But fuck it, what's the current status in the village?" B then asked his fellow jinchuuriki.
Naruto lifted one of Kurama's paws and swapped away the armored siege machines, as well as soldiers. "Grandma Tsunade and the Fifth Mizukage are taking care of evacuating the civilians. Meanwhile, Gaara, Sasuke and the others are battling whoever the hell the Elemental Ascendants are. We were almost outnumbered at the gates, but your timing was perfect" he answered B.
"Cool! Now what do you say me and you go and have fun with these tiny-ass tinmen and their cans?" B then smugly asked Naruto, who listened closely. "Since both of us are outside the village, it means that we can do whatever the hell we want with them" he added to his explanation.
"Sounds good to me!" Naruto responded with happiness. "I could not risk using Kurama's powers inside the village, especially with the evacuation ongoing" he added to his explanation.
The two giant beasts then focused their attentions on the armored machines that were aiming their cannons at them. But among the armored soldiers, it seemed kind of inevitable to charge against two Tailed Beasts, who both possessed enormous amounts of chakra.
Lee and the other shinobis stationed at the gates smiled when seeing how they were doing, knowing very well that Naruto and B would take care of those armored siege engines. But they could see Sai fix his attention to the floating airships above the Leaf Village's central districts. Enemy shinobi flyers emerged from those airships, wreaking havoc upon their targets below. However, with the arrival of the Aburame clan and assistance of the other clans, the defenders managed to put up a valiant stand.
"With Naruto and B taking care of dismantling the siege weapons, it looks like we can turn our attention on those flying airships" Sai said to his fellow shinobis of the Leaf. "They keep sending reinforcements. And we still need to watch out for the Elemental Ascendants" the pale-skinned man remarked while surveying the view.
Chouza's eyes suddenly widened, as he could see two large hands grabbing a giant rock, thus preventing it from destroying some of the nearby buildings. The elderly man mused to himself by what he was seeing. "Ah, so you're currently out there fighting, Chouji. I am proud!" the red-haired man exclaimed, feeling impressed when he could see Chouji daring to go into battle.
"Just look at the top of the stadium!" Yamato said in distress while pointing his finger at the stadium, where the shinobis could see the Elemental Ascendant of water floating on the top. Yamato had been watching with the help of binoculars. "Kakashi, Sasuke, the Kazekage and that Mist ninja are currently engaging that watery being! It must mean that the stadium is consumed by water!" he then added to his explanation.
Lee forced a slight smirk by what he was seeing. "Well, those four will keep that thing busy for sure" he said before taking his glance at the tall hospital. The man in the green clothes knew that his wife and son had taken refuge there, as had his son's teammates. As much as he wanted to go over there to check on them, he knew better than to underestimate the wisdom of Tenten, as well as the other shonobis and kunoichis who were currently at the hospital. "The hospital seems to be reinforced. But there are still enemy shinobis trying to spread across the village" the man with the weird eyebrows noted as he looked at the battlefield.
Ibiki narrowed his eyes when he saw this. "We better hurry and rendezvous with the rest of our allies. Both the hospital and the Hokage Tower serves as the bastions of safety to the villagers" the elderly man then took a brief glance at Sai. "Sai, you better head over to Lady Tsunade and inform her about Killer B's assistance. She will definitely be pleased about hearing this" he told Sai.
The pale-skinned man was already on his ink eagle and flew towards his destination quickly. He would have to tread lightly, as there were enemies all across the Leaf Village, both on the ground and above. But so far, neither side had achieved the upper hand in this battle.
Back on the Monument District
Shunsuke landed on his feet and panted deeply. So far, he had put up a valiant fight against his twin brother. But now, he felt somewhat overmatched against Inojin. The raven-haired boy didn't know why, but he could see that Inojin's fighting abilities had only increased thanks to his use of the Mangekyo Sharingan. Shunsuke coughed out some blood as he looked up.
Inojin was only standing there with his arms crossed. The look in his eyes showed a very different side of him. Shunsuke was stunned, as he started to wonder whether this was his twin brother who stood before him now.
"Hmmm…..you don't impress me for a minute" Inojin suddenly spoke up while glancing at the raven-haired boy.
Shunsuke's eyes widened in shock, feeling stung by hearing the comments coming from his twin brother's mouth. This made him grit his teeth in frustration and slowly get up on his feet. The young boy suddenly clutched the elbow on his right arm. Shunsuke had managed to avoid getting hit by the black flames, yet he could feel some hints of burn on his skin. It astounded him for some reason. Maybe the heat from those flames were strong enough to land a few marks on him.
In fact, Shunsuke began looking to his side and watched his teammates and some others watch his fight with different reactions. Although he could tell that all of them were worried, he knew that Nashiko was the one most worried about them all. Shunsuke could tell it by glancing at the young pinkette's emerald eyes, as she was filled with slight sadness by seeing the twins she had grown close with fight one another. The raven-haired boy sighed and decided to talk with his brother once again.
"Inojin…..I'm not gonna ask you this again. But for the sake of all the people of the Leaf Village…..I ask that we postpone this match to some other time" Shunsuke then requested from Inojin.
Hearing this made Inojin stop in his tracks, and he merely glared at Shunsuke without showing any signs of remorse. In fact, the raven-haired boy only got slightly angrier when he kept hearing Shunsuke trying to plead. "Shunsuke…I don't give a damn about this invasion! What does it even matter to us!? Those bastards who has badmouthed us and mom can die for all I care!" he said with words of venom.
Shunsuke's eyes widened in surprise when he heard this. "What are you talking about?" he asked lowly. "You really think that they deserve to die? But they have done nothing to us" the raven-haired boy pointed out to Inojin.
Inojin clenched his fists tightly, his teeth even gritting along the way. It was apparent that the boy with the ponytail was very pissed about what his twin brother just told him. "Done nothing to us!? They have abused us! Slandered us! Degraded us! Made us targets for something we never had any involvement in!" he angrily snapped while he suddenly began forming a blade out of black flames. The young boy glanced over to his brother in a cold manner. "I don't care whatever they are! I will never forgive them! Therefore, they deserve no future in this village!" the boy with the ponytail added to his explanation, before running straight towards Shunsuke with the blade in his hand
The other kids watched in shock as Inojin was willing to even go to such lengths to defeat his brother. At the same time, they were also stunned to see that Itachi was still drifting in the past. Nevertheless, Shunsuke did not move to either flee or retaliate. He only stood there with his crimson eyes filled with determination.
However, before Inojin could even reach his twin brother, a lighting suddenly struck on the road in the street and it was powerful enough to make all the children fall onto their knees. Both twins were separated from one another. The lightning strike had left some dust in it's wake and the kids were now coughing.
"Is everyone alright?" Nashiko asked her friends as she coughed slightly.
"I'm okay" Takeda said as Arata slightly sneezed. "What the hell was that!?" he then demanded as he watched where the lightning had struck down, only for him to see that someone was descending down towards the children in the streets. His bright eyes widened in shock and.
"What's wrong, Takeda?" Chouta asked, as she and the others were curious about his behavior. When the long-haired boy pointed his finger upwards, they looked at the direction he was pointing it at. Their eyes were filled with the same as Takeda's.
Indeed, there was someone who was descending down towards the children. From what they could see, it was in the form of an ancient man with long white hair and beard. He had wrinkles, but despite being old, he didn't have many. His white clothes were decorated with black stripes along his sleeves. The skin was pale, but along his forehead, two horns stuck out. They were a good addition to his blue eyes which showed everyone his azure pupils. In addition to his clothes, he also held a black and long Japanese trident in his right hand. The children were stunned as they saw him landing on the ground without making so much noise.
"No…" Noburu uttered out those words as he was filled with disbelief over what he was seeing. Apparently, the grey-haired boy knew who this man was. And it was definitely not Mikazuki Otsutsuki, the one who had "employed" him to steal the Orb of Asura. Speaking of which, the old man held onto the orb, as it glowed teal and shone upon every corner of the street. But Noburu was filled with unease, he even began facing the children. "We need to get out of here, fast!" he yelled to them.
Saburou glanced over at him. "Care to explain who this man is?" Saburou then requested sternly, although he also demanded that Noburu tell them who this man was.
Noburu was furious over hreaing this. "THERE'S NO TIME TO EXPLAIN! THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN TO HAVE EVER….." before Noburu could continue with his words of anger, he suddenly found himself pierced by the trident the old man was carrying. He had to the disbelief of the children, thrown the weapon straight towards Noburu, making sure that the trident would catch him and pierce through this stomach. And thus, Noburru was flown against the wall, the trident stuck in his stomach. The young boy coughed out blood, as some of it dripped from his mouth. "RRRGHHH…I CAN'T GET IT OUT!" he cursed while seeing that he could not even push out the trident.
Shikaien was in disbelief and noticed something. "Damn it! My Shadow Possession Jutsu got dispelled thanks to the lightning strike earlier" he said, but Shikaien snapped back. "But screw that! What the hell just happened!? That old man just threw his trident straight towards him! Does he even know about the rules of attacking children!?" he then wondered in his head.
As the old man approached the four-eyed boy hanging on the wall, the other children quickly moved far away from Noburu's location, afraid of him doing something to them next. From what his eyes could tell, the old man didn't possess a single hint of regret for his actions. He grabbed a hold of the trident, yet he did not pull it out.
Noburu glared at him angrily, even clutching to a kunai he had hold onto in one of his pockets. The boy with glasses was determined in attacking the old man. He even began reaching out towards his captor. "DIE…..BASTARD!" Noburu yelled and was about to stab the old man in his left arm, only for the old man to grab the kunai and stopping him. The old man also held onto Noburu's hand and even started to crack it slowly, causing the young boy to scream in agony. In the end, he let go of the kunai.
"Foolish, little mongrel" the old man suddenly spoke up, his elderly and powerful voice filled with dispassion over what he was seeing. "You thought that you, a mere human, could best me in trickery!?" he then asked demandingly.
"What….who is he…" Shunsuke wondered as he was sweating with unease from what he was seeing. So far, he had only stood on one knee and watched as Noburu was held up by the trident like a fish caught by a harpoon.
Inojin however became enraged when he saw that someone had dared intervene in his fight. In fact, the young boy with the ponytail still had the guts to stand up on his feet. "Damn you! The hell are you doing, interrupting my battle!?" he angrily demanded from the old man.
But he chose to simply ignore Inojin's rude remark and focused his attention on Noburu. He even began to slowly pull his trident out from Noburu, and it was painful for the young man to bear. But the old man felt no remorse for his actions. "The existence of you and your "Village Hidden in the Sound" offends me! To think that misbegotten test subjects thought they could be free from the taint that the Saanin Orochimaru left in his wake. Well, you have foolishly MISTAKEN!" he bellowed and finally pulled out the trident, causing Noburu to yell out in anger as he fell down on the ground. The old man's azure eyes narrowed further. "Know this, mortal. You are unworthy! Unworthy to even be bothered with by the almighty Hirohito Otsutsuki!" the old man said his name.
Hirohito turned around, leaving Noburu sulking on the ground. But the old man was currently paying his attention to the children that had been watching him. He could see that some like Shikaien, Saburou, Aoi and Takesda were determined to stand and face him, although he didn't hold any interest in fighting children he considered as worthless. However, Hirohito was actually having an interest in some of the children.
"I see" the old man spoke up softly and even went as far as to point his trident at the group of children, who were extremely cautious about whether he had plans to attack them, as he had just done that to Noburu. "My eyes do not deceive me, as does my instincts. I can feel so many powerful bloodlines among some of you children" he then noted.
"What is that old man talking about?" Aoi wondered to some of his fellow shinobi. But the brown-haired boy was currently studying Hirohito's appearance, until something snapped inside of him. "Hold on! Did that man call himself…an Otsutsuki?" he asked in slight disbelief.
"Care to fill us on?" Shikio asked him.
"Fool, he is talking about the Otsutsuki clan!" Saburou sternly scolded Shikaien, thus surprising some of the students. The blonde-haired boy with the sunglasses then fixed his glance towards the old man. "Now that I think about it, just look at the markings around his neck" the young boy told his fellow shinobis.
Hirohito formed a slight smirk underneath his white beard. "I sense them all. Two Uchihas, two Uzumakis and one Hyuuga" he noted before glancing over to another distance in the grey skies. "And I also sense the presence of more young Hyuugas, as well as a young Kaguya. To think that these would dwell underneath my watchful eyes" he then added to his statement.
Takeda's bright eyes snapped, and he began growling like a wolf. He knew who he was talking about. "Hey! You leave my family alone! And that's an order!" he barked with Arata following suit.
Kotone's eyes widened in shock. "This man…..does he know about my heritage…..as well as Jurous?" she asked Aoi.
The young man simply nodded his head and faced Kotone, along with Nashiko, Shunsuke, Inojin and Takeda. "Yeah. Don't forget: all the greatest shinobi clans descended from the Otsutsukis. The Uchihas, Hyuugas, Uzumakis, all of them share their origins in that clan" he spoke up, before facing Hirohito once again. "But those eyes…I never knew that there existed a Kekkei Genkai for the Otsutsuki clan" he then noted warily.
Hirohito had taken notice of the Aoi's explanation and even started to take small steps towards the group of children. "How amusing that a mere boy like you know about us" the white-haired man said as his eyes narrowed. "Now as for these eyes, they are those of a true member of the Otsutsuki clan. They alone surpass the Sharingan, Byakugan and Rinnegan. These eyes are the eyes of the gods, the Tenseigan!" he declared as a burst of wind suddenly sprouted beside him, thus sending many of the kids falling to the ground.
"Such immense power….." Nashiko remarked, only to see Inojin quickly getting back up to his feet. "Inojin…what are you…." She was stopped by Inojin glaring at her with his crimson eyes.
"Stay out of this, Nashiko. I will take care of this monster!" he said and slowly began walking towards Hirohito, who merely glanced at him with disapproval.
"Hmmm….these two boys must be the sons of the last Uchiha. Heh, how I despise that name. That weakling Madara tried to exploit the powers of Kaguya Otsutsuki: the mothers of all shinobi" Hirohito explained before forming a smirk with his mouth. "But if you or any others dare defy me, know this! At the time you die, the Chakra that dwells inside of you…..WILL BE MINE!" he declared while taunting Inojin.
The young boy got angry and gathered enough black flames to his side. "Inferno Style: Black Dragon Flame!" he yelled and suddenly shot out a black flame of a serpentine dragon towards the old man. His teammates and friends were in awe at seeing how destructive his power was. Yet despite this, Hirohito simply stood in silence, never moving an inch to avoid the attack. Inojin fixed a confidential grin by seeing this. "Burn in hell, old man!" he said, not caring for how cold he just sounded.
But before the black dragon could even hit its target, it quickly disintegrated into nothing but smaller bits of black flame. Inojin and the others were stunned to see what he had just done. In fact, powerful chakra had now gathered around the ancient man and his eyes shined brighter by the minute.
"Is this the best you can do!?" Hirohito demanded an answer while raising his trident in the air. Even now, the skies above him blackened and lighting struck down to the trident's spikes. The kids were too stunned to even make a move, whether it was to attack him or flee. "I WILL SHOW YOU THE TRUE POWER OF A GOD! A TRUE GOD OF THE SHINOBIS!" he then exclaimed loudly before slamming the butt of his trident onto the ground.
This resulted in a giant shockwave empowered by lightning that spread throughout the streets of the Monument District. While it did manage to shatter some buildings, it didn't manage to bring the buildings down. They remained where they were. Just as the kids thought that they were taken by the shockwave, they were stunned when they saw that something had protected them from being taken by it. It was in the form of a giant white slug, with a single blue stripe on each side. The children were stunned as the slug fixed its giant head upon them.
"Are you alright, children?" the slug asked them in a very motherly tone. "It seems that I made it just in time to save you" she added to her explanation.
Some of the children were dropping their jaws, among them Kotone and Aoi. Apparently, they had never seen a giant animal like this. But some of the children of the Leaf were also surprised, especially Chouta.
"Woah! That slug is HUUUGE!" she exclaimed with a hint of paranoia in her voice.
"What is this?" Kotone asked, her jaw still dropped to the ground. "There actually exists slugs on THAT size!?" she then asked in disbelief.
But Nashiko was one of the few who knew very well the slug, and she fixed a bright smile upon her face as she looked up to the slug. "Lady Katsuyu! You're here!" she exclaimed in happiness over what she was seeing.
The slug took notice of the young pinkette. "Nashiko, I am glad to see that you're alive. Your mother has been worried about you" the slug spoke up in a sense of relief, but she was not yet finished. "Now what were you and the others thinking, running out from the hospital?" she then asked them sternly.
"Katsuyu, save your scolding for afterwards" a female and commanding voice could be heard, as Tsunade and Mei Terumi suddenly landed before the giant slug. The blonde-haired woman nodded at Katsuyu with a smug smile, before turning her strict glance upon the children. She also made sure to face the members of Team Ayumu. "You children shouldn't have gone off without your parents. It is too dangerous for you to be alone" she then reminded them.
"Lady Tsunade…" Shunsuke spoke up in a surprised tone.
"Aunite Mei…what's the big idea?" Aoi suddenly asked the Fitfh Mizukage, who didn't seem to be in the best mood. In fact, she even glanced at her nephew with a stern glance. The young boy gulped in return. "What….it was Kotone who got me dragged into this!" he then exclaimed while trying to shift the blame.
Kotone twitched in anger over hearing this. "Quit dragging me into your mess, Aoi!" she told him in return.
"Don't try to change the subject!" Mei's firm voice forced the two Mist ninjas to get a hold on themselves. "We have come here to see why the evacuation has somewhat slowed down. And this explains everything" the azure-eyed woman noted as she looked around the urban environment they were in.
Tsunade fixed her eyes upon the children, her eyes filled with the strictness as the children knew she was known for. "Listen carefully, children. Why you came up here doesn't really matter to us. We just want you to go as far away here as possible" she said while motioning for some jounins to come to her and Mei's side.
The children were awed as Menma Umino, Ayumu Sarutobi, Kazue Shimuzu and Kaito Mizushima stood there with different reactions to what their students had been doing. The one who showed must contempt and disappointment was Ayumu. The red-eyed man fixed his eyes upon Inojin, who only shrugged his shoulders in return. Chouta felt worried as she watched her sensei's gaze, while Shikaien paid no attention and only scratched the back of his head.
"Jounins, take these children back to the hospital! This area is bound to get more explosive by the minute!" she told them and they each headed to their respective students.
But all of a sudden, Katsuyu's enormous form suddenly exploded out of no reason. However, the giant slug did not die from it, as she only began disintegrating into many smaller forms. Both Tsunade and Mei quickly turned around in and watched in awe as none other than Hirohito Otsutsuki stood there, his glowing eyes indicating his rage. Enormous amounts of chakra was enveloping around him.
"My god…that man's power seems…...destructive!" Mei noted beneath her breath and faced her fellow female Kage. "Shall we do this, Tsunade?" she then asked her in a surprisingly serious manner.
The blonde-haired woman looked at her sideways, a smirk being made as she did that. "Absolutely. Naruto and the others have taken on the responsibility to deal with the invaders in the village. Even now, he himself is breaking their siege alongside Killer Be from the Cloud Village" she told him before facing the ancient man before them in a serious manner. "And besides, based upon the destructive power he holds, as well as him carrying the Orb of Asura, there is no doubt in my mind that he is the mastermind behind the stealing, as well as sending this….war machine at us" Tsunade added to her explanation.
Mei only forced a chuckle underneath her lips as she could not help but to agree with what Tsunade just said. "Well said! I couldn't agree more" she responded before looking over her shoulder to face Kaito and his team. "Kaito, you and the other jounins need to take our students and get far away from here! I and Tsunade will deal with this monster ourselves!" she said to them.
"And we're not going to say this again. Leave before we still have some sense of reasoning left within us!" Tsunade did the same, as she looked over her shoulder to see the children.
The jounins grabbed the hands of those who were reluctant to go, while some of the other children knew what was being at stake here. They immediately followed the Kages' orders without hesitation. As they ran away from the street, Nashiko and some of the other children briefly looked behind to see the two women getting ready to confront the enemy. But Nashiko could even see Tsunade forcing a smile at her, indicating that she was somewhat proud for the little pinkette. She had a reason to feel that way, as Nashiko embodied the will from each of her parents, especially her mother.
Tsunade thought in her head as she watched the children disappear from the street. "Hmmm….I honestly can't believe how much Naruto and Sakura have grown since the first time I met them. They're no longer the same confused kids as they used to be, that's for sure" the blonde-haired woman remarked in her head.
"Mistress Tsunade" one of Katsuyu's clones spoke up as it climbed on her right leg and up to her arms. "From what we have discovered, Noburu Yakushi's whereabouts is nowhere to be found. But some of my clones have picked up sings of shinobi activity nearby" the small slug told her.
"You don't say" Tsunade remarked as she looked up to the skies with a slight frown on her face. "I don't care about your where you are, just get out of the Leaf Village and return home. Had it not been for Naruto's vouching, I would've personally dealt with you myself" she then admitted in her thoughts before facing the slug once again. "Let that brat go. Our priority should be protecting the village, not looking out for some misguided boy" she then told the slug.
The small clone nodded her head in return. "As you wish, mistress" she responded and crawled back, eventually disappearing into a nearby hole in the ground.
Mei rolled her eyes as she heard this. "Can we start focusing on the task ahead instead of your slugs? I can't believe that your personal summon had to be a slug. You Saanins really have bad choices when it comes to that" the brunette remarked with slight disgust.
Tsunade only shrugged her shoulders in return. "Spare me your chatting later, Mei. We have an enemy to defeat" she told the Mizukage as she and Mei confronted Hirohito. The ancient man had only stood still and glanced at them with no emotion. "Your actions have caused many loss of human lives, tyrant. There will be no more of that when we defeat you" the blonde-haired woman told him sternly.
Surprisingly, Hirohito formed a smirk underneath his white beard. "So, you are the Fifth Hokage? I can see the blood of Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki run through your veins. Your heritage amuses me, Tsunade Senju" the ancient man spoke up, expressing his interest in Tsunade's heritage.
The blonde-haired woman narrowed her eyes while hearing this, not welcoming what Hirohito just said. "Watch your tongue, heretic. You have no right in addressing me with that name. And for the record, you have no right to speak of my grandparents' legacy!" she sternly told him.
Hirohito remained unfazed when hearing those words. "Be on the defensive as much as you want, it will not help you in any way" he told her and but away the Orb of Asura, thus having his left hand free. By merely moving his fingers, teal chakra enveloped on his hand. "Once I have defeated both of you insolent wenches, I shall take your chakra and make it mine.
Mei narrowed her eyes and proceeded to make some hand seals. "Perhaps I should try some of my tricks to see how powerful this man really is" she noted in her head while finishing her hand seals. "Vapour Style: Solid Fog Jutsu!" she exclaimed and suddenly blew out acidic mist from her mouth.
Hirohito surprisingly raised his trident up one more time and slammed it on the ground, only this time, something else happened. He found himself standing in the middle of a water pillar, almost as it was protecting him.
"A shield made out of a water pillar…..intriguing" Mei noted in her head as she kept blowing out the mist. "But it won't help you. My mist capable of melting everything, including water" she said and could see that the mist gradually made the water go away, only to see that he was not affected by it was well. It astounded the brunette.
Tsunade quickly formed a few hand seals herself and faced her opponent with narrowed eyes. "Keep going, Mei! I have the perfect solution to make him suffer!" she exclaimed and suddenly slammed both hand palms on the ground. "Earth Style: Earth Hold!" she exclaimed and all of a sudden, two giant walls of earth appeared to Hirohito's sides. The size of the walls was as high as the buildings.
The ancient man was caught in surprise by seeing how quickly those two walls that been risen up from the ground so easily and he was about to make a move, only for him to be covered in liquid, and that was thanks to Mei, who had switched over to another form of jutsu.
"What kind of poison is this!?" he asked in anger as the stuff consumed him
Mei smirked by what she was seeing. "Heh, I switched over to my Melting Jutsu. No one has ever managed to survive that" she told him before facing Tsunade with serious eyes for real. "Now, Tsunade!" she told him.
"I don't need to be told!" Tsunade responded and suddenly clapped her hands together. The moment she did that, the two walls of earth now trapped the ancient man between them in a surprisingly fast pace. As the wall was finished, Tsunade put her hand on the ground once again, this time sending the wall back to where it came from, with Hirohito still inside it. Tsunade kept her focus on the ground, starting to feel somewhat suspicious about this. But when she heard nothing, the blonde-haired woman slowly rose up to his feet. "I can feel the ground not being at unease. It only indicates that he has perished. But can that really be true?" the Hokage noted grimly.
Mei fixed a smug smile in return. "Hmmm, I have to admit, you performed that jutsu very well, Tsunade. I am glad to see that you're not only relying on brute strength to defeat your opponents" the brunette said before facing her in the face. "Now how about you and I go and clean up the rest of this…" Mei's voice was interrupted by Tsunade's once again.
"Don't celebrate just yet!" she snapped as she felt something unusual happen. "Do you feel it?" Tsunade asked Mei as she began tapping the ground with her feet. "The earth beneath us…it's trembling!" she exclaimed with a hint of shock in her eyes.
Mei realized that Tsunade was not lying, as she too could feel how incredible the shaking felt, almost as if it was an earthquake. The two Kages suddenly saw cracks moving from Hirohito's previous spot to the current standpoint of the two women. They got extremely cautious, not knowing if this was Hirohito's doing or not.
But out of the blue, and angered Hirohito jumped out of the ground and right before Tsunade, thus kneeing her face. It was one hard attack and the blonde-haired woman was send flying away, until she landed on the ground while sliding a little. Because of her talented healing abilities, Tsunade had managed to clear her face of any serious injuries, yet there was blood running down from her lips.
"TSUNADE, ARE YOU…" Mei suddenly found herself stabbed from behind by Hirohito's trident. But the ancient man pulled it out and proceeded to slam her with his weapon, thus sending her rolling on the ground. She laid there while slowly raising up her head, with blood streaming from her lips. "YOU….BASTARD!" she cursed at him.
"Oh no! Mei seriously needs treatment fast" Tsunade noted in her head and suddenly called upon one of the many clones of Katsuyu. "Katsuyu, tend to Mei quickly! She has serious injuries on her lower back.
"As you wish, mistress" the small slug said and immediately headed towards the Mizukage. Mei was soon joined by more clones to help her with recovering.
Tsunade got up on her feet, her eyes solely fixed upon Hirohito, who was merely standing with a displeasured glance on his face. Seeing this only made Tsunade angrier, as she could not believe how he was taking it so simple.
"You sure as hell have a lot of nerve striking down at the Village Hidden in the Leaves, not to mention that you stole the Orb of Asura, a treasure valued by us" Tsunade noted and suddenly readied her fighting stance. "Therefore, as my duty as the Fifth Hokage, I will defeat you, monster!" she spoke with steel in her voice.
Despite seeing how determined Tsunade was, Hirohito could not help but to only laugh at her words. He started by going slowly before laughing louder, probably as an attempt to mock Tsunade's dignity. The blonde-haired woman narrowed her eyes in return.
"Heh! I spit upon your dignity, mortal! And as for the orb, it never belonged to you or your Senju forefathers!" he spat back before reaching out for the orb once again, seeing it shine brightly before the old man's azure eyes. "And neither did the orb belong to my foolish nephew: Asura Otsutsuki. That imbecile Hagoromo stole this from me and made it a perfect tool for his son to have. If only I had not known about this sooner" he then went on expressing his disgust about something.
Tsunade's eyes widened in surprise. "Hagoromo Otsutsuki…you're talking about the Sage of the Six Paths…and the way you refer to Asura…are you a real Otsutsuki?" she then questioned him warily. Hirohito fixed his azure eyes upon the elderly woman, who she also took notice of. "And those eyes…..they look similar to a Byakugan….could it be that you are…Hamura Otsutsuki?" she then questioned him.
For some reason, anger began boiling inside the ancient man, and he suddenly aimed his left hand at the Hokage. Before Tsunade knew it, she found herself being lifted up in the air, yet she saw that her enemy was not even close to her. But there was something else, she found herself getting slightly choked around her neck. However, she could not see any hand.
"What is this!?" Tsunade said as she moved her hands to see if there was something she could take off around her neck. But she found none. "Is this some kind of genjutsu…or telepathy!?" she thought in her head with distress. She could see that the ancient man before her was even moving his hand, slowly clenching it.
"Insolent creature! You dare mention those names in my presence!?" the ancient man yelled angrily before he suddenly let go of his hand, thus freeing Tsunade from whatever spell he had just used on the Hokage. He then fastened his trident on the ground, and enveloped both of his hands with celestial chakra. Those chakras were unlike the two female Kages had ever seen, and they glowed stronger by the minute. "I am neither of them! As a matter of fact, I have surpassed them both! What you are seeing now is the one and only God of the Shinobis: Hirohito Otsutsuki!" he declared as the chakra in his hands got bigger.
All across the Leaf Village
While the battle was ongoing around the village, Choiji Akimichi was fighting against the Elemental Ascendant of Earth: Furue. So far, Chouji had put up a valiant effort, although he was both bruised and battered over right now. Chouji's strength had helped him, but he apparently underestimated Furue's strength. In the meantime, Furue also seemed to have underestimated Chouji's tenacity. However, she had now learned how to counter Chouji's moves, especially when he resorted to the Size Growing Jutsu. Right now, the chubby man was snapping with fear, as he could see a large boulder being carried by Furue. Without delay, he jumped sideways to avoid getting crunched.
"Woah….too close!" he exclaimed while quickly getting up on his feet. Furue suddenly landed on the grond with her feet, and it caused the ground beneath him to shake. "Man….is this a tremor or something!?" he wondered in disbelief. The shaking made him lose balance, and Chouji fell on his behind.
Furue approached him slowly, cracking her tubby fingers in the process. Like Chouji, she was also chubby, although she didn't necessarily seem to care much about weight as Chouji did. The female ascendant suddenly picked something out of her rocky belly and it was stones big as her hands. Obviously, she was planning on throwing them at him.
"Your size-based jutsus will not defeat me, fleshling. I suggest you surrender before I return you to the earth" Furue warned him sternly before throwing the rocks at Chouji, one by one.
The proud member of the Akimichi clan was still sitting on the ground, and he knew something had to be done. But when he saw how relatively small the rocks were, an idea struck him. A smirk crept on Chouji's face.
"Okay, her goes!" he said while doing a hand seals. "EXPANSION JUTSU!" he then exclaimed and his body was formed like a balloon. This was especially the case of his belly. The man with the goatee could see the stones heading towards him. "Alright lady, bring it on!" he then taunted her.
Despite their hardness and fast speed, the stones quickly bounced off the moment they hit Chouji's belly and they headed straight back to Furue. The Elemental Ascendant of Earth was surprised by seeing this, yet did not fear being injured by the incoming stones. In fact, she stretched out her tubby arms and waited to reactive the stones, as they were hers to begin with. When she was finished, Furue glanced at Chouji with dispassion.
"I grow tired of you, Chouji Akimichi" she said and suddenly stomped her left foot on the ground, thus pulling up a large boulder in the air. Her opponent was filled with disbelief. Moving on, Furue kicked the large boulder. "This will let you test agony" she then concluded.
Before Chouji could even make a move to either defend himself, the boulder hit his belly spot on and he felt an enormous amount of pressure. The boulder was and fast, yet Chouji's expanded belly was not strong enough to hold it back. The chubby man felt pain, as blood started streaming from his mouth. The pain he felt was too much for him to bear.
Furue crossed her tubby arms and slowly walked towards Chouji, who was lying on his stomach wincing in pain. The chubby man was holding onto it, as if he had managed to break some bones or guts on the inside. The female ascendant showed no remorse for her actions and began forming two large rocks with her hands. They almost looked like a pair of hammers, except for the fact that they were made of rocks. She approached the lying shinobi, who had begun looking up to her.
"Foolish fleshling, did you honestly believe that your powers were equal to mine?" she then asked while raising both rocks in the air. Her eyes even narrowed with emptiness in them as she glanced down upon her opponent, who was gritting his teeth in distress. "I admire your bravery, but it is now time for us to end this battle. And I shall do so by delivering you the final blow!" she exclaimed loudly and swung down her arms of rock.
Chouji shut his eyes and prayed that a miracle would save him from death. To his surprise however, it did. But this was a different form of miracle. The chubby man opened his eyes and looked up to see why he was not getting crushed. The moment his eyes got the picture, he gasped.
"What the…" Chouji uttered out those words lowly, as he could see Furue standing still, except for the fact that there was a bright light covering over her. The stone-faced woman merely glanced up to the light, while all parts of her body began disintegrating slowly. "What is this!?" the chubby man asked in unease.
Furue closed her eyes as more of her body parts began to vanish. "I see" she spoke up lowly and formed a smile with her mouth. "It looks like my services are no longer required. That means I can finally rest in peace for all eternity" she added, although Chouji was unsure about whether she was even talking to him anymore. "Thank you, almighty Hirohito. Now return me to the earth" she said, before her entire head began disintegrating into nothing but dust.
Chouji covered his eyes for the dust, before he watched in awe as the ascendant who were that close in killing him, was no longer there. He could not believe his eyes. He sat on his knees and panted deeply, but made sure to do it slowly, given his injuries.
"Looks like she's….gone. But how…how did she suddenly…." Chouji's wondering was interrupted when he suddenly began coughing out a large chunk of blood on the ground. The injure on his stomach still paralyzed him. "Damn….how did this become so….painful?" he wondered in his head while trying to catch his breath.
However, Chouji could feel the same sound he felt just now and he looked up to see that a familiar light was shining on the top of the stadium. This could only mean that one of the other ascendants were there, or maybe not anymore.
On the top of the stadium, the Elemental Ascendant of Water called Genzai, was battling against Kakashi Hatake, Sasuke Uchiha, Suigetus Hozuki and Gaara. So far, the group of four were doing great in teaming up against the destructive being of water, who was intending on flooding the entire Leaf Village with the water he had gathered underneath him. Genzai had perfectly managed to hold against four opponents, but he was growing impatient with their many tactics. However, the light that suddenly appeared over him, forced the ascendant to cease his actions.
"What? Is it…is it really the time?" Genzai asked lowly, his eyes gazing up to the light, while his watery body began disintegrating into nothing but liquid. "But my lord…I had barely begun my….masterplan" the watery being said as he gradually began fading into liquid.
The four shinobis before him were stunned by what was happening right before their eyes. "Woah! What the hell just happened!?" Suigetsu asked out loud while lowering his sword. "Here we were busting our asses to fight that jerk and now he's gone all of a sudden!?" he then added to his disbelief.
"That light…." Kakashi noted lowly as he watched how brightly it felt. "It appears that the ascendant was suddenly being taken his powers away, but by whom?" the white-haired man added to his assessment.
Gaara suddenly felt a chill coming from behind and looked at that direction. The other shinobis did that as well. When they turned around, they could see that two similar pillars of light were shining so brightly at the top of the Hokage Monument. It indicated that something was indeed happening over there.
"I can sense something similar happen on the Hokage Monument. Obviously one of the other Elemental Ascendants must be there" Gaara noted, before his blue eyes narrowed when he took a glance at the pillar of light that was rising straight up from the Monument District. "However, I can sense something else at the Monument District. There is an enormous amount of chakra over there and…." The Fitfh Kazekage's eyes suddenly snapped in realization.
Suigetsu only raised an eyebrow. "Okay…..care to fill us in?" he then asked the red-haired man.
Kakashi's eyes began to widen when he understood the picture. "Lady Tsunade….the Mizukage…..they're both over there!" he then said before snapping in realization. "Then that means…." Kakashi was interrupted by Sasuke taking steps towards that direction.
"The enemy's leader has arrived on the battlefield. He is there, right now" Sasuke filled in and fixed his glance upon the gates, where he could see Naruto and B dealing with the siege. "They better be informed about this. The enemy is planning on something, I can feel it" the raven-haired man noted before fixing his eyes upon the Hokage Monument.
On the Hokage Monument, Kiba Inuzuka had angrily unleashed his bestial fury upon the Elemental Ascendant of Lightning: Eikyo. She had used her powers to attack his daughter Manami and she was knocked out as a result. Neither he or Hinata knew whether she was dead or alive. Therefore, Kiba had made his move and began attacking the woman.
As much as Eikyo tried to fight back, Kiba's strength was something she failed to take seriously and she received so may cuts from the brown-haired man's attacks. But before he could officially kill her, this celestial light suddenly appeared. This light shoved Kiba away from his target and he watched as the woman gradually began fading away into nothing.
She mused to herself. "It would seem that my time's up, doggy boy. I'm not gonna lie, you really impressed me with that wild boy act of yours" she said, her entire form slowly disintegrating into small sparkles. Despite seeing this, Kiba angrily attacked her, only to not feel anything. The woman only chuckled in amusement by seeing this, her face gradually disappearing. "What are you, blind? I just said that my time is up. The almighty Hirohito no longer requires my services. That means my own essence of power gets taken away, and returned to him" Eikyo pointed out to the brown-haired man.
Kiba only dug his sharp claws in the dirt, his feral teeth demonstrating his ferocity. "You fucking bitch….." the young man said lowly, his sense of reason barely present. "COME BACK AND FACE ME!" he then roared out so loud.
"Get over it, already!" the ascendant snapped back, her form appearing as nothing but sparkles of lightning. "Now before I go, I just wanna reveal something to you about your brat! She's still alive! I merely forced her into going unconscious. She will awake soon. But on the other hand, you may wanna start thinking about running away" she then said before vanishing into thin air. All that was left was nothing.
Kiba was about to angrily yell in agony over not being able to kill the ascendant. But something surprisingly forced Kiba to get a hold on his anger. Turning around, he watched as Manami now sat on her knees while rubbing her eyes. Hinata was sitting right beside the young bluenette. She was relieved to see her still being alive. Both Akamaru and Riko happily watched this, with Akamaru even licking Minami's left cheek, thus surprising the young girl.
"Ugh…..Akamaru….what was that for….." Manami asked while she felt herself tired. She then noticed Hinata hugging her tightly and it stunned the young girl even more. "Mom…" she uttered out in surprise, before she caught a glimpse of her father, who slowly began approaching her.
Kiba did not seem to be consumed by rage anymore, something which both Hinata and the dogs became relieved about. In fact, he seemed quite happy and a slight tear was shed the moment he caught a glimpse of seeing his daughter being alive. As their face met, Minami smiled lightly at her father.
"Dad…" she uttered out lowly. But the young girl took notice of something. "Are you crying?" she then asked while taking notice of the tear from his eyes.
The brown-haired man merely wiped it with his arm and nodded his head at her in return. "Yes, Minami. I'm crying out of joy. The joy of you still being alive, that is" Kiba then told her with a touching smile. In fact, he sat down beside her and even reached for a hug, in which Manami slightly returned. Hinata only sat and watched, happy over seeing her husband developing closer bonds with their twin daughter.
But Kiba and Hinata could spot the large pillar of light that could be seen by the skyscrapers of the Monument District. They knew that it meant something special was taking place right now. However, using their scent and Byakugan respectively also made them discover that Takeda and Arata was there as well.
"Takeda…..what are you doing there!?" Hinata exclaimed in shock. But the bluenette soon discovered that Takeda was not alone. He was with his classmates, as well as some jounins. Seeing this made Hinata relieved, as did Kiba. "Well, I can assume that they're heading for the hospital" she remarked and faced Minami. "We need to get you there as soon as possible, Minami. I can see that you have not recovered from your injuries yet" she told her.
Instead of being rebellious about this, Minami simply nodded her head in return. "You're right…we should move soon…uahhh!" the young girl fell on her behind as she was trying to stand on her feet. This really surprised her. "What's going on?" she asked in disbelief.
To Minami's own surprise, Kiba carried the young bluenette on his back. This was something she had not been for a very long time. The brown-haired man with the goatee simply held up Manami's legs, while she held onto his shoulders.
"That shock attack you received a while ago must have somewhat paralyzed your motioning balance. However, that doesn't mean you can't walk" Kiba told his daughter in a fatherly tone. "We best get you to the hospital and let the medics handle your treatment. You deserve a long rest after being exposed to this…...episode" he added to his statement.
And so, Kiba and Hinata tool their twin daughter and headed back to the hospital, accompanied by Akamaru and Riko. They would rendezvous with Takeda and Arata at that building. In fact, the first thing Kiba and Hinata wanted, was to put their twins in a safe place.
Back in the Monument District
"I must thank you for lending me assistance, Elemental Ascendants" Hirohito spoke up, meaning that he was actually speaking to them. "All of you have done well so far, and you have my deepest gratitude. But now, I no longer require your service for now. Therefore, you will give the Chakras I lent you back to me" he then declared to them.
It was apparent that the ability he was using right now as to draw power from nearby sources. He chose the Elemental Ascendants, who had all previously served him loyally. But being a powerful shinobi and close to a god, Hirohito felt that he would take back the chakra he had given them. The Elemental Ascendants had only been empowered thanks to receiving a portion of chakra from the ancient man.
Tsunade and Mei watched in horror as more powerful tints of chakra began enveloping all around Hirohito. At the same time, twelve different individuals started descending down towards the street, landing a few meters behind the ancient man. The two Kages were stunned by what they were seeing. It would appear that Hirohito was not alone in doing this invasion. One by one, the people dressed in white robes removed their hoods, thus exposing their faces, as well as they azure eyes. These eyes were the same as the one their leader had.
The "loyal children" of Hirohito watched the ongoing battle take place with different expression. All of the siblings had gathered. The first son Susanowa, the second son Mikazuki, the third son Koshin, the first daughters Tukiko and Tukiyo, the fourth son Bishamon, the second daughter Uzume, the third daughter Kishijoten, the fifth son Hotei, the youngest daughter Benten and the youngest sons Inari and Isora. All of them had arrived to witness their almighty father battle.
"More of them!" Mei spoke up warily. Her azure eyes narrowed further. "So there exists more survivors of the Otsutsuki clan?" she then asked lowly. It became clear to her that these people were the members of the group called the Brotherhood of the Blue Moon. That being said, Hirohito was without a doubt their leader.
Tsunade gritted her teeth in anger, even going as far as to clench her fists tightly. Mei could take notice of what she was doing. "Let me be clear on one thing, Mei. I could really care less about whatever enemy we're facing against. Whether it is Orochimaru, Madara Uchiha, the Dragon Creed or even an Otsutsuki clan member, it really does not matter to me" the blonde-haired woman spoke up in a strict voice. Her eyes were now closed. And she even did a hand seal. To the Mizukage's own surprise, Tsunade was now activating the seal that she was very famous for creating and possessing. It was the Mitotic Regeneration the Hundred Healings. The blonde-haired woman opened her eyes. She was dead serious in battling their opponent and even stood her ground. "I am this village's Hokage and I have sworn to protect it until my dying breath. And I intend to keep that vow!" she explained and looked over her shoulder to face Mei in a smug manner. "Now tell me, wouldn't you agree with me on what I just said? Wouldn't you have said this if we were doing this in the Mist Village?" she then asked the Mizukage.
As surprised as Mei was, she could not help but to force a chuckle at the Hokage's words. In fact, she walked up to Tsunade and stood right by her side. The middle-aged brunette glanced over at her. "As much as I hate to say this, you do have a point. And as for your question, you took the words right out of my mouth. Hard to believe how sturdy you have become recently" Mei responded, much to Tsunade's own amusement.
"Ever so persistent. Then how about me and you start taking this battle for real? We shall end this altogether" the blonde-haired woman said in return before fixing her serious eyes upon their common adversary. With her most powerful seal now activated, Tsunade had no intention of going back. She would face the enemy. She would no longer rely on anybody. It was time that she did something that Hokages were known to have done: putting their life on the line. She and Mei would now do it. "Listen well, Hirohito Otsutsuki! I may not know what your motives are, but attacking a village of innocent people have made me very angry!" Tsunade said and began cracking her knuckles. Her gaze was completely serious. "Such crimes can never go unpunished! Therefore, I shall take the opportunity to deliver you the most divine punishment on those who threaten the safety of these proud villagers: death" she then told the white-robed man, not caring how cold she just sounded.
Mei readied her fighting stance. "You are too dangerous to be let loose in this world! As two of the five Kages, we hereby challenge you to the death!" she then spoke up.
As powerful as these two women really felt, Hirohito merely laughed at their threats and began taking slow steps towards the two women. "What difference does that even make!?" he then asked out loud. He did not even bother taking up his trident. He kept walking towards them unarmed. "It does not matter what kind of title you possess. None of you have the strength to defeat a god!" he then exclaimed at them.
"You are really starting to piss me off with your mouth, old man!" Mei replied with distate. But she could suddenly see Tsuande reaching out a hand to her. The blonde-haired woman was smiling. Mei didn't quite get the picture. "Listen Tsunade, I really don't need you to calm me. I can control my temper on my own" the brunette pointed out.
"I wasn't aiming for that" Tsunade said motioned to her hand. "Just hold my hand. With that, I can share my strength with you. In the meantime, you can share yours with me. So what do you say?" she then asked her.
The Fifth Mizukage was amused by hearing the Fifth Hokage's offer. She reached out her hand to Tsunade's and she felt something strange happen to her. It was as if some new form of power was transferred over to her. And there was nothing Mei could do to stop it.
The Hokage mused by what she was seeing. "With my strongest seal now activated, I have the ability to share my strength with allies. And now, I am doing this with you, even though I have some misgivings about it" she admitted to her fellow female Kage.
Mei only scoffed her shoulders while hearing this. "Hmmm…..I'm actually not surprised to hear you say it" she then revealed, before forming a smile at Tsunade. "But we can settle that petty score between us some other time. We got a madman to defeat and a world to save" she then told her.
Tsunade nodded her head at her in return and let go of Mei's hand. "My thoughts exactly. Maybe we do have more in common than we think" the blonde-haired woman told her before facing their adversary, who for some reason had found his standpoint. She readied herself, as did Mei. "Here we come, monster! NOW TASTE THE FURY OF THE KAGES!" she yelled and charged straight towards him. Mei did the exact same thing and ran beside the blonde-haired woman.
Hirohito only stood and watched as the two powerful women charged straight towards him. They were both powerful and had dealt with many powerful adversaries before. Therefore, he could not allow himself to underestimate the two Kages. Despite seeing them charging straight towards him, Hirohito did not move an inch. However, there was only two things on his body that he was moving with: his hands. He croaked them and small light orbs began forming on his hands palms.
The two women yelled in anger and were ready to deliver powerful blows at Hirohito. The moment they swung their fists, a powerful lightning struck down on the Leaf Village. It was very powerful and made noise so loud that it caught the attention of everyone battling in the Leaf Village. Even now, many of the shinobis were headed towards the Monument District, in hope of seeing their leaders win against the enemy.
The moment some of the Leaf and Mist ninjas reached to the place where the fight was ongoing, they were all stunned in what was happening.
Hirohito was now having his fists inside both Tsunade and Mei and both women were left paralyzed, unable to do anything. The ancient man merely chuckled lowly, before letting out a maniacally laugh by holding the hearts of the two Kages. But that was not all. In just a short minute, something happened with the backs of the women. Before everyone knew it, powerful chakra beams suddenly shot straight out from the backs. These chakra beams were enormous, almost as powerful as those fired by Tailed Beasts. The shinobis watched in despair as the beams of chakra completely eradicated the insides of the two women. This resulted in two large holes in the two women's bodies and they fell on the ground.
All the shinobis were crying and howling in despair. Two great Kages had been defeated in combat. And by a ruthless and powerful being, who possessed no remorse for his actions. They wall watched in fear as Hirohito stopped laughing and tunred his attention on wherever he could sense the presence of humans.
"THIS…..THIS WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF MY GLORIOUS RETURN!" Hirohito exclaimed loudly and stretched out his arms. "FOR TOO LONG, I HAVE REMAINED HIDDEN AS SO MANY ANTS HAVE DARED TO CALL THEMSELVES GODS OF THE SHINOBIS! BUT I AM THE TRUE GOD!" he exclaimed and then grabbed hold of his trident.
The rain was now coming down upon the Leaf Village and while Hirohito was standing there, his followers began gathering around him. At this rate, some of the well-known shinobis of both the Leaf and the Mist had arrived to witness the horror of seeing the Kages lying defeated on the ground of dirt.
"A NEW GENERATION OF SHINOBIS DAWN TODAY! AND I INTEND ON CHANGING IT, BY UNITING ALL SHINOBI VILLAGES INTO ONE SINGLE NATION!" Hirohito continued his explanation, raising his trident in the air. "LET THE DEATHS OF THESE TWO INSOLENT WENCHES BE A WARNING TO ALL OF THOSE WHO REFUSE TO BOW BEFORE ME, THE ALMIGHTY HIROHITO! ONE DAY I WILL RETURN AND WHEN I HAVE DONE THAT, ALL OF YOU SHALL KNEEL TO MY WILL!" he finished his dark proclamation and with that, another powerful lightning struck the village once again.
This lightning strike was so powerful that it blinded some of the nearby shinobis. But when the lighting was no longer there, they were all stunned to see that Hirohito and his followers were gone. There was not a single trace of them left on the standpoint. But there was something the shinobis had taken notice of. The invaders were no longer to be seen anymore and the airships had disappeared as well. This could only mean one thing: the siege was over.
However, there was nothing to celebrate, especially for both the Leaf and Mist Villages. Right now, Naruto, Sakura, Shizune and many others had gathered in a circle around the two dying Kages, who still had some traces of life left in them. Tears were spilled as the two great leaders wanted to say something to their respective subordinates. But they were also having finals words to those of their appointed successors.
"Naruto…come here" Tsunade's elderly voice caught Naruto's attention, as he sat by her side and held her hand tightly. The blonde-haired man was crying, tears never stopping. The blonde-haired man had always looked up to her, and was probably the greatest inspiration as the role of Hokage. "My time as Hokage…...is now over….and you….are now destined to carry the mantle. All these years…I knew that there would be a time when we would have to say goodbye to each other for ever….I wish it would've been on different circumstances…..but one can never predict ones defeat" she said and suddenly formed a slight smile as her eyes was slowly starting to fade away. This time, Sakura sat beside her husband, also holding Tsunade's hand. The blonde-haired woman mused in seeing this. "Sakura…..Naruto…..promise me…..as well as those around you….that you will lead this village…..stand tall against any hardships…..and treat the village as it was your own family…just as you did….during the world war" Tsunade's voice sounded very touching and emotional.
Sakura and Naruto still had tears streaming from their eyes, but Naruto still had some fire left in him. Even the dying woman could see that and she was happy to see this. The blonde-haired man simply nodded his head slowly. But after doing that, he forced a smile on his face at the elderly woman. "I promise…..grandma. I won't let you down…..I swear this to you" he said, tears still streaming from his eyes.
Tsunade had not much time left. But she still wanted to have some final words with both Naruto and Sakura. "Thank you…thank you both…for showing me the light that I once refused to embrace…whenever you are lost…..ask the spirits of the previous Hokages for guidance…..that is what you can do" she said, as her body became slightly lifeless. "No lead one, Naruto. And remember…..never give up…until the end" she said some words that Naruto was well familiar with. The Fifth Hokage then died, and many shinobis took their time mourning and crying in seeing one of the world's strongest kunoichis pass away.
The same thing could be said for Mei, as the Mist ninjas were gathered around them. Almost most of them were crying, especially Aoi, whose heart was stung in seeing her aunt have some final words with him. She said very similar words to Chojuro, who could never stop sobbing. He was surprisingly comforted by Kaito.
A funeral was immediately held the day after. Despite the Mist ninjas being offered to bury their late Mizukage in the Leaf Village, they politely declined, yet expressed appreciation for their offer. She would be buried in the Mist Village, where all villagers could come and give their blessings to the woman who had ended the longstanding political unrest in the village. The funeral in the Leaf Village had guests from the Sand and Cloud Village and the Sound Village, with Gaara, the Fourth Raikage A and Hide Kinuta attending to pay their respect to Tsunade for the great and inspirational leader she was. A couple of days later, a similar funeral was held in the Mist Village, where foreign guests were also attending to pay their respect to Mei Terumi for the great Mizukage she was. The death of the two great Kages had brought sent clear messages to the other Five Great Nations. A new threat was on the move and no one knew where they might be targeting next. Therefore, it was important that the Five Great Hidden Villages once again unite to deal with whatever machinations Hirohito had in store for this world. What would happen next, fate would only tell.
Two weeks later, on the top of the Hokage Tower, Village Hidden in the Leaves
It was a surprisingly sunny weather above the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Two weeks had passes since that fateful day, the day that shock the Leaf Village, as well as the entire shinobi world. Despite the damages caused by the Brotherhood of the Blue Moon and its army, rebuilding them was taken care of with ease. Everything now seemed just like before the invasion.
But while that had happened, there had been a change in the Leaf Village's leadership. That's right. Standing on top of the Hokage Tower and gazing out towards the village was none other than Naruto Uzumaki. He wore a red and white cape, the cape of the Hokage. But underneath that cape, he wore an orange sweater. There was no other color than orange on that sweater. The pants he wore now were quite similar to those worn by his late father. His hair was still reaching his shoulders, and he did not wear a forehead-protector. Holding onto his chest was the Hokage hat, the one with the recognizable symbols of fire. All of this could only mean one thing: Naruto Uzumaki was now the Village Hidden in the Leaves' Sixth Hokage.
The blonde-haired man simply stood still and glanced up to the blue skies above him. The winds were blowing through him. Since gaining the mantle of Hokage, Naruto knew that there was a lot of responsibilities that was hanging on his shoulders, but he would face them. That was the vow he made to his predecessor on her deathbed.
"Mom…...dad…...Pervy Sage…...Grandma Tsunade…thank you for being at my side….." he said and suddenly closed his eyes. The Hokage was still smiling while having them shut. "I will protect the family…..the big family that exists here in the Leaf Village" Naruto added to his expression of gratitude.
"Dad!" the voice of a young girl snapped Naruto out of his thoughts, and he quickly turned around to see Nashiko and Haruto run towards him in a fast speed. Approaching further behind them was Sakura, who watched her children run up to her husband with joy. If there was one thing that could keep her spirits up and help her move past the death of Tsunade….it was her family and friends.
Naruto grinned and reached down to his children's level, although Nashiko was no longer as small as Haruto was. Having become a chuunin, she also possessed some new abilities, like helping the village, as well as her teammates. Nevertheless, Naruto happily embraced his kids as they all wanted to hug their father, who was now the Sixth Hokage.
While he warmly received Nashiko and Haruto, Naruto looked up to see Sakura standing there with a sweet smile directed towards her husband. He quickly got up on his feet and embraced his wife, giving her a well-deserved kiss. Sakura happily returned the favor.
Once they were finished, the couple stood side by side, with their two children right before them. They were now gazing out towards the Leaf Village, the home that they would all protect. Naruto carried Haruto and let him sit on his shoulders while holding the boy's sandals. Sakura then put her hands on each of Nashiko's shoulders. And the Hokage hat? Well, Naruto let Jiro take care of it, as the young boy put the Hokage hat on his blonde-haired head.
A new will had dawned now that Naruto was in charge of the Leaf Village. Naruto would keep his promise to his mother and others he had shared his Hokage dreams with: to become a better Hokage than those before him. True, waiting for the time had given him just what he needed with his duties: perspective, compassion and love. This was the dawn of a new will.
To be continued….
Author's note: Now that was the end of this wonderful story, written by me. I had always wanted Tsunade to have a very tragic and heroic death, given that she is a Hokage, as well as a Saanin. It may have been very similar to Naruto's Part 1, but I liked writing on it. 50 chapters are now complete. It will take a long while before I will write on this chapter. If you have read all the chapters, then feel free to comment on what you liked about it. And of course, I humbly welcome constructive criticism. I may not be Masashi Kishimoto (I thank him so much for creating the Naruto franchise), but I am good in setting myself into the world of manga and anime. Currently, I am writing a prequel to this story called "A New Beginning", in which focuses on how Naruto and the others coped with the aftermath of the shinobi world war, as well as getting into those relationships. But that will probably be more mature than this story (also including sexual content), given that it will be the first time I will write something with so much romance. I can admit that there are many details shown here that will be explained in the prequel. Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH for reading this story. Take good care!
