I would like to apologize for my lack of updates, but promise you, as long as it is within my power, I will update my stories once in two weeks. I swear on the River Styx *thunder rumbles*. So, on with the chapter!

Third Person's POV

'What happened to Piper?' Annabeth muttered, running toward the door. Percy (because Annabeth was his girlfriend) and Thalia (because she knew Piper) ran side by side toward the exit. Nico hesitated, then followed. Not wanting to stand alone, Jason and Reyna thought it to be best if they went too. One after another, they all came out of the exit.

Outside, they saw Piper pressed up against a wall, trying to sink into it to get as far as possible to the gods.

'No,' she gaped at Aphrodite. 'You can't be my mother!'

Annabeth and Thalia gasped. They had been with Piper long enough to know she acted nothing like a daughter of Aphrodite. She was more suited to Athena, somehow.

'I am, actually,' Aphrodite told her, continuing to look unfazed. Perhaps that's why Piper's disbelieving, Annabeth thought. She thinks it's just a joke.

Annabeth was, to some extent, right. Piper was actually divided at the moment. For one, she was extremely scared about this might being a ploy to kidnap her or something. On the other hand, she was disbelieving that her mother, who she had never met in her life, was standing in front of her. In teenage form, on top of all of it. That's stupid, right? Piper sure thought so. Then the third set of conflicting feelings came into the picture. She felt like this was too good to be true. This might actually be her mother? Then she would have her mother back in her life. But then again, her so-called mother was a teenager approximately her age. Does that even make sense?

'How can you be my mother?' Piper asked in a broken voice to the teen in front of her. Aphrodite's faced softened and she walked ahead to gently grab the girl in front of her by the shoulders.

'Sweetheart, I am a goddess,' Aphrodite said softly.

Piper's eyes widened to the point where they looked like they were going to pop out. Then they rolled up, and Piper fainted into her mother's arms.

Jason wanted to know why, in the name of the gods, why did a girl actually faint. It was so – so cliché. But after all, she didn't know the gods of Olympus existed. In the course of fifteen minutes, she was told her mother was alive, a teen her age, and a goddess to boot, all without even being properly introduced to the world of the gods. This, Jason reckoned, was a good reason to faint.

Piper opened her eyes, blinking when they were attacked by a sudden stream of light. Once she adjusted to the light, she noticed that she was lying down on a bed in a small room, and Annabeth, Thalia, and the girl who claimed to be her mother and a goddess were surrounding her, concerned looks on their faces. Annabeth's and Thalia's faces kept on breaking into incredulous looks, glancing from Piper to her mother, and exchanging looks before schooling their expressions into concerned ones (which looked like they came effortlessly).

'Whassgoion?' she murmured, blinking again. The three surrounding her whipped their faces to face her, looks of thankfulness covering their features.

'Thank the gods you're alright, Pipes!' Thalia exclaimed, clutching her hand. Piper glared at her and mumbled, 'Don't call me Pipes.'

Thalia just laughed. 'I've got years of practice on that one. Annabeth hates being called Annie too.'

Annabeth started glaring too.

'Are you really my mom?' Piper asked weakly and in a soft voice to Aphrodite. She may be a lot of things, but she was not dumb. She had got the feeling that this conversation was secret.

'Yes,' Aphrodite said just as softly.

'How? You're a teenager!' Piper said, eyes wide.

'I'm a goddess, I told you,' Aphrodite replied.

'How can you be a goddess? Gods and goddesses don't exist!'

Then came the whole conversation revolving the 'Greek gods and goddesses in America' concept. Annabeth and Thalia personally hated giving it, but this time Aphrodite relieved them the duty and told Piper. It was quite refreshing, actually.

'Now do you believe us?' Annabeth asked once Aphrodite was done.

'Let me get this straight: You, Annabeth, are a daughter of Athena, and Thalia, you are a daughter of Zeus. You are my mom, Aphrodite,' Piper said looking shocked.

The three nodded in unison.

'You're one lucky demigod, Piper,' Annabeth told Piper. 'I doubt there is even one demigod alive who was told of the gods' existence by the god themselves.'

Aphrodite just smiled.

'Now, get up, I've already missed Homeroom, and that is more than I have ever missed,' Annabeth pulled the daughter of Aphrodite to her feet. Thalia looked shocked.

'Are you serious?' Thalia said with widened eyes that looked almost comical.

'Yes,' Annabeth said matter-of-factly, before shooing Piper out of the room, Aphrodite following.

'I don't know you!' Thalia shouted to Annabeth's back, who just turned around and stuck her tongue out. Thalia responded with the same, before following the others out of the room as the bell rang.

Just so you know, guys, I've decided I'll take requests for stories, as long as they're extremely short (like, one or two-shot).

Yours truly,

Stella

PS - Sorry for the extremely short chapter.
