Free for all Battle Royal, The Huntress Unleashed; The Chunin Exams
It had taken some convincing but the Uzumaki crests were now something only held by the Uzumaki. Of course the entire clan was now on the village's most hated list. The shinobi understood and still kept their usual positions towards the girl. Over the last three months the clan compound had been attacked numerous times. At every occasion the attackers never got past the outer walls. Gozu and Meizu stood in the yard playing cards while the civilians climbed in over the walls, were instantly incapacitated by the abnormal amount of traps placed on the walls. The seals were truly amazing.
On top of that they were also allowed to roam the streets and were enlisted as Konoha shinobi. Zabuza was chosen to be the Uzumaki representative in the council. Ameyuri chose the life as a housewife but still kept her training up. Gozu and Meizu were Chunin, but with the persuasive abilities of their clan head, they didn't have to go on missions. Haku now worked as a medic under the care of the Hokage's personal doctor. And Naruko was the same. She was currently waiting in front of the Hokage's office.
"Enter."
She walked inside.
"Naruko-chan, what can I do for you today?"
"I would like to enter in the upcoming Chunin Exams."
"Well you certainly have the required amount of mission, and there is no doubt about your skill, but you have to have two more members on your team, and you have to have a Jonin Instructor. So can you fit those requirements? I can put you on a two man cell, if you want to?"
"There is no need for that. Squad Eleven. Momochi Uzumaki Zabuza, Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko, Hanyou no Nagai Ha and Hanyou no Mara. Where and when do I have to be?"
"Be at the academy in room three hundred and one, in one week."
Naruko nodded and left. She made two clones to inform the tribe and her clan. She walked through the village when she heard a scream.
"Watch it brat."
She turned the corner and saw something that made her blood boil. There was a Suna ninja in a cat suit threatening Konohamaru, holding him in the air. Next to him was a Suna Kunoichi, not wanting to get involved.
"So are you going to apologize, punk?"
Konohamaru was struggling to get free. Just then Sakura and Gotegma rounded the corner.
"Put him down, Kankuro. You'll get in trouble later."
Naruko looked at the two, something was off, but she would deal with that later, first Konohamaru was top priority.
"Don't worry, I'll just teach this punk a lesson."
He drew back his fist, but hit a large stone. Naruko had switched places with Konohamaru and the immediately changed places with the rock that the boy hit.
"Owww… Why you little bitch."
"Kankuro, you're an embarrassment to our village," came a female voice from the side.
They all looked over and saw a girl with red hair hanging by her feet under a branch. She did a sand based body flicker and landed in front of the two ninja from Suna.
"Ga… Gaara, I… I was just playing around."
Kankuro was now very nervous.
"Shut up, or I'll kill you."
The two foreign ninja stepped back. Now Naruko knew what was happening.
"No you will not. You may be foreign ninja, but you are in my sand box now, and here I decide who gets to kill."
There was a sudden increase of KI but Naruko just ignored it. She had experienced far worse when she had once gotten both of her mothers and her father angry beyond belief with a prank. In a burst of speed she was behind the girl. The KI stopped and all of the Suna ninja were shocked.
"Know your place, Ichibi," she said with a low growl, loud enough for only the Suna group to here.
She slipped a piece of paper into the pockets of her fellow Jinchuuriki and then dragged her clawed finger over the throat of the girl, drawing a thin line of blood. This of course scared the Suna ninja even more.
"And a word of advice," she said to the boy, Kankuro.
"Konohamaru-kun is a very close friend of mine and the grandson of the Third, if I even hear a whisper that you touched him again, I will kick you back to Suna. And I don't care if you're here for the Chunin Exams or not. Also I will report this to the Hokage and have him deal with this. I will make sure he knows exactly what has occurred here. Konohamaru-kun, Udon-kun, Moegi-chan, we're leaving."
"Okay Nee-chan," the three students said.
They walked off but Naruko stopped a few steps later.
"Oh and Uchiha, try finding a better spot to hide when spying."
She started walking to the Hokage Tower.
She walked into the office.
"Hokage-sama, your grandson has just been threatened by the Genin team of Suna Gakure. I am hereby delivering him and his friends to you. Also I would like to know if you had someone in fire country I could hunt."
"I am sorry, Naruko, but I do not. Please also stay in the village."
"I understand Hokage-sama."
Naruko left and ran along the roofs. She needed to prepare things. She arrived at her compound.
"Good day Naruko-sama," Gozu and Meizu greeted.
"Was your meeting with the Hokage of positive outcome?"
Naruko had taken her time to train them all to her standards and after those two months, the clan had come to respect their clan head for her power and her no nonsense attitude.
"Well I can't go on a hunt. Oh and in a few minutes there should be a Suna Kunoichi coming over. Her name is Sabuko no Gaara. I want one of you to take her to the pavilion."
"Yes ma'am."
Naruko walked into the house and saw Zabuza and Ameyuri in the kitchen.
"Good day, Naruko-chan," Ameyuri said.
She was the only person in the clan who didn't have to call her Sama.
"How was your day?"
Naruko released her true form and sat down.
"The villagers seem to have calmed down now. Guess having them enter the estate and then pick them off might not have been the smartest way of doing things. But in any way they got the message. I also have an appointment with the civilian council in two days. They want to discuss my future career as a kunoichi. Not that they have any say over me, but I decided to humor them. Zabuza, I would like you to accompany me to that meeting. I hope that is no problem for you, Ameyuri."
"Not at all, Naru-chan. Just bring him home safely."
"I will. On that note, Zabuza, I want you to leave your day free in three days. It's time you meet the two other squad members of Squad Eleven. We'll be going to the tribe. I want you on your best behavior."
"Yes, Naruko-sama."
Naruko nodded and went to her room and changed into her Royal Garbs. She then walked to the pavilion. She made a clone and had it get a pot of tea. She sensed the gates being opened and four people coming towards her. She created twenty Shadow Clones and had them hide in the shadows. The Ma Shotto drawn. Before long Gozu came with three Suna Genin following.
"My Lady, announcing Sabuko no Gaara, Sabuko no Temari and Sabuko no Kankuro."
"Welcome. Please take a seat. I trust all of your weapons have been confiscated."
The three nodded.
"Please have some tea."
She handed over the tea and poured it.
"Now I have asked you to come here because I want to know why you are really here."
The three siblings tensed.
"I know you three are here for a reason. You do not act like ordinary Genin. On top of that, Gaara is a Jinchuuriki. Now we can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way. There are more than twenty arrows pointed at your vital spots. They penetrate any armor, even the armor granted to you by the Ichibi no Shukaku."
Gaara looked at her and smirked. Her siblings were quite scared of the girl but she sensed something beneficial.
"So the option is wither or not we are to be diplomatic or if you are going to take what you want by force, Shinku Hantoresu, am I right?"
"Yes you are, Gaara of the Desert. Now, what are you doing here?"
"Let's start with what do we get from telling you."
Naruko knew that Gaara was going to talk, especially with the offer she had.
"I know of your problems as Jinchuuriki of Shukaku. You have had no sleep every night you have walked these plains of existence and the problem is not the Shukaku, no it is the monk that has tried to seal the Great Spirit of the Desert, but he failed and was absorbed and now he torments the spirit. Ever since the Great Spirit of the Tanuki torments those it is sealed in. I can give you the treasures of sleep and rest and I can put our kind on top of the food chain. So do you accept?"
"I accept, but first free me of this curse and I shall be in your debt."
"Gaara, how can you betray Father like this?" Kankuro asked.
Gaara looked down in shame.
"She is not betraying her father. She is merely telling someone who is closer to her than you could ever be. I know of her pain and whatever it is you are here to do, I do not stand against family. You want your freedom, I will give it to you. Family helps each other, trusts each other and sticks together."
Naruko stood up.
"Follow me."
She walked out of the pavilion and headed to a small hut. In the hut there was a staircase. After a few minutes they were in a cave. She sealed the entrance and pointed to a few inch deep hole.
"Sit in there and relax Gaara. This will hurt. Now if you two want to help sit down beside her. Take her hands and periodically raise and lower your chakra, it will calm her. Gaara, we will be entering your mindscape. This will give us an advantage, we will draw out the monk and exorcise the madness inside of the great Biju that you hold."
They did as they were told. Naruko went through a long string of hand signs.
"Uzumaki Ninpo: Maindo o Nyuuryoku no Jutsu!"
She stood in a great desert. Next to her Gaara appeared. They looked at each other.
"So, what are we going to do now?"
"Easy. We draw him out. You call him and distract him."
She made fifty clones and had them run in a circle.
"Hey, monk! Come out here so I can kill you," Gaara said with her KI blasting out.
"No need to become uncivilized girl. We can talk face to face."
"I don't want to talk, I want to kill. You!"
She started attacking the monk with the sand.
Meanwhile Naruko had he clones in position, the made a few hand signs.
"Uzumaki Fuinjutsu: Zettai Shoheki Kabe!"
The barrier stood. Naruko walked towards the monk. The man saw this and smirked.
"Another whore I can purify."
"You may try, but you will end here and be sent to the Realm of the Hunt. Shinigami-sama will be happy to punish you."
She released all of her Restriction, Gravity and Weight Seals. She rushed at him. She left a huge spray of sand in her way.
"Gaara, now's your chance."
She ran in circles around the priest. Gaara used the wall of sand and sent spikes to the priest. Naruko broke off and stopped next to Gaara. The priest had multiple stab wounds, but was still alive.
"If we kill him he will come back, I will send him to the Hunting Realm."
She took out her Horobi and Kiyomeru and ran at him. She created two Shadow Clones and had them strike from the sides, while she struck from above.
"Mikazuki no Mai!"
"You'll pay for this bitch. I'll get you in the next life!"
"You may try, and I will be waiting."
Suddenly the ground shook. And the sand moved. And out of the sand the Ichibi no Tanuki rose from the ground.
"Humans, I must thank you for getting rid of that little pest. For that you have my gratitude. What is it I can do for you?"
"First you can change into your Human Form."
The Tanuki nodded and changed.
"The fact that you know of this can only mean you are a Jinchuuriki as well."
"No I am the daughter of Kurama."
"Kurama, so that hot head got herself captured as well?"
"No she voluntarily chose the sealing, but because of the treatment I got in this village, I was adopted by her as the heiress for the Demon Throne."
"I see… So princess, what is it that you want, I am in your debt."
"Very good. Shukaku, I wish you to adopt Gaara-chan here as your daughter and heiress to the Great Deserts that you rule."
"WHAT?!" they both screamed.
"No deal, I don't want to die."
"You wouldn't die, you would become a normal Tanuki and still live eternal, Gaara as your daughter would only gain your powers, knowledge and experience."
"Let me guess, that's how Kurama did it."
"Yes, and I am thankful to her that she offered me this chance for a new life. You as a Biju had a family in your kin and the Sage, us Jinchuuriki, we get ostracized, humiliated, beaten and hunted. Most of which happens every day."
"I see… So Gaara would you like to be daughter of the Tanuki?"
Gaara looked at him then at Naruko and then back to the Tanuki.
"I do."
"Okay, I pronounce you my successor and heiress to the Throne of Sand. If I remember correctly Kurama took a tribe of Hanyou under her care, am I wrong to suspect, you are also protecting them."
"Yes, you are correct. If you wish I shall adopt her and teach her when my plan has come to an end."
"Do that. I hope to see the others as well."
"If all goes as planned you will."
The Tanuki nodded and left. Seconds later they were back in the cave. Gaara collapsed and instantly fell asleep. As equally as fast she was pinned to the floor by a very forceful grip around her neck.
"What did you do to her?" Kankuro yelled.
"I gave her the freedom she needed to sleep."
"That still doesn't explain the raccoon stripe on her face, her raccoon tail and her raccoon ears."
"Kankuro-san I suggest you remove your hand, or I might be compelled to cut it off."
Kankuro withdrew his hand and Naruko sat up.
"She has been adopted by Shukaku-sama, as I have been adopted by Kurama-kaa-san."
"WHAT!?"
"That is correct, your village wanted a demon, now they have one, just like my village has me. Now I suggest we give her a bit pf time to rest. Kami knows she deserves it. Now how about you tell me why a Jinchuuriki of such reputation as your sister, doing here at the Chunin Exams of a foreign village? Last I heard the Chunin Exam was held last time in Suna, now is there anything I need to know about?"
"Orochimaru is planning on attacking Konoha. He has his own village and army."
"But even if he did, he would need help. Plus he must be head of a very small village, to have slipped under our radar for so long. What else is there to know?"
"Father has accepted to help him. His reason is that Suna has been losing budget and mission that normally go to us go to other villages. Our Daimyo is a greedy bastard."
"All royals are. When is your father coming here?"
"He's coming to the third part."
"Has he been acting strangely, other than his normal routine?"
"He has been a lot more cautious and wants Gaara to be monitored more."
"I would like you to keep a close eye on your father. Knowing Orochimaru he will backstab you. His file indicates his partners end up worse for wear. Meaning most of the times they are either used for experiments or dead. If you notice anything, come here immediately."
"We will. What are we going to do about Gaara?"
"We let her sleep."
Just then Gaara woke up.
"Gaara, how are you feeling?"
"Better than ever. I thank you, Naruko-san."
"We're family Gaara-chan, we look out for each other."
She got up and walked out of the cave. She led them to the gate.
"Remember, if you notice something you come to me."
They left and Naruko returned to her house. The next day was filled with rigorous training. She trained and trained until even Zabuza said she should stop. She rested and then returned to her training.
The next day she awoke with a very foul mood. She had a quick shower and went to the gate. As expected Zabuza was already standing there. Zabuza saw the dark look in the eyes of the girl and knew not to mess with his clan head today.
"Zabuza, follow me."
She hated talking with those brainless idiots. The ANBU that were hiding all around the village felt the presence of something evil and went to investigate. As soon as they reached the source they went straight back in the other direction. On days like these, the Uzumaki heiress took no prisoners. One wrong move would provoke her and she would vent all that anger on the source of provocation. Naruko arrived at the tower and entered the council chambers.
"Brat we have been waiting for you for ten minutes, this kind of disrespect just shows that you are not suited for the career of the shinobi. We are hereby taking you out of the program and admitting you into the CRA. This process is just a formality, everything has already been arranged, and your signature is just to say you know of this."
The civilians were smirking, finally they had the bitch cornered and she couldn't do anything. They looked at her and saw the smirk on her face. Naruko was pissed, pissed beyond reason. She blasted the room with so much KI the door burst open. The civilians immediately broke down and started panting. Most of them passed out, the only ones who were on the edge of consciousness, were the elders minus Danzo, who was not attending the meeting.
"Listen to me, and listen well. I have arrived on time, if you are here early that is your problem. Now then how many times do I have to tell you I Am Not under Your Authority, if you cannot get that through your head, you will start missing parts of your bodies?"
"Naruko-chan what is going on here?" Sarutobi asked.
"I am bringing over my opinion about the little contract. It is on the table."
Naruko lowered her KI and the Hokage took the scroll.
"Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko is hereby removed of the Shinobi Program," he read.
"Due to being the last of the Namikaze bloodline she is to be put into the Clan Restoration Act. She shall be bred by of the council chosen suitors to not let her bloodline die out. The council strips the Namikaze of the right of own household and she shall be placed into the House of Uchiha.
Accepted and Signed"
The Hokage gave the scroll to Naruko. She took it and channeled her chakra into the scroll until it burned. She looked at the Hokage.
"The Namikaze bloodline is dead. I may have forgiven my father, but his name will die."
"I understand Naruko, but next time, please come to me when they try something like this again."
"If you wish me to do so I will. Zabuza, we're leaving."
"Hai, Naruko-sama."
The two left and returned to their home.
"Zabuza, I want you at the portal tomorrow at ten."
She returned to her study and did research until the early hours of the next day. She took a nap and got up before nine. She got into her normal attire and walked to the portal. Zabuza was there and waited. Naruko walked up to the portal.
"Uzumaki Fuinjutsu: Kukan o Toru!"
The portal glowed and the two passed through it. They now were in camp. Naruko walked to the Holy Mother.
"Naruko-hime, I suspect this will be the man who will play the teacher of your squad. So young man, I will give you the responsibility of our two most promising hunters. No matter what, do not betray them."
"You have no need to worry. I regard my team as my family. And you do not betray family."
"That is a strong set of mind, let's see if you stick to them."
Nagai Ha entered the room, behind him came Mara.
"So Hime, what's the plan."
"In a few days, the Chunin Exams start. We will enter these exams. I want us to be a Genin team. I will give you a room in the mansion."
"Very well, what equipment are we allowed to take?"
"Take kunai, shuriken and a few scrolls. Other than that you are free to choose. But keep in mind that we travel fast. I'll meet you at the portal in five minutes."
The two left and Naruko got up. She walked to the portal with Zabuza and waited for her team. They arrived shortly after. The next days were spent planning, strategizing and training. Zabuza overlooked the training and saw the results of the rigorous tribal training. The teamwork displayed was extraordinary. He could safely say his team had the greatest teamwork of all the Genin. Then it was finally time to leave for the exams.
The three walked to the academy. Naruko had her standard attire. The black trench coat with the dark crimson stripes. Her ANBU style forearm protectors. Her two ninja-to, were safely secured in her Spartan style boots. Her Hitai-ate was wrapped around her left forearm. Nagai Ha was wearing his usual fit. Black ninja pants. He had multiple holsters and pouches on his thighs and waist. Mara wore ninja pants and the same style of top as Naruko. She too had war paint all over her torso. She too had holsters and pouches on her thighs and waist. They entered the academy and stuck to the shadows, they still were early so they took the time to spy. They saw most of the Genin falling for a basic Genjutsu. They stuck to the ceiling and saw a boy clad in a green spandex suite. Naruko saw that he wasn't even trying. Then the Uchiha interrupted the fiasco and revealing the Genjutsu. Naruko shook her head.
"You'd think the Uchiha would have figured out the reason for the Genjutsu," Naruko said still sticking to the ceiling.
"But I guess now we can have more prey to hunt, so thank you, Uchiha."
Sasuke was fuming. The dobe had shown him up and humiliated him. The Genin walked away and he walked out. Naruko followed and saw the Uchiha being challenged by the boy in green, Rock Lee. After a brief brawl the Uchiha activated his Sharingan but still lost. Just as Lee was going to use a very devastating Jutsu, he was interrupted by his sensei Maito Gai. Then she witnessed The Sunset first hand. It was disturbing. She then took her team to the room. The door was shut and Naruko decided to have some fun. She kicked in the door with so much force that it flew into the room. Then with the Meisaigakure no Jutsu she walked into the room. Her team did the same and the Genin were no smarter. The Konoha Rookies were doing a scene and were approached by a boy called Yakushi Kabuto. Naruko was instantly very cautious. That boy smelled, no reeked of snake. She only knew one person who used snakes. Orochimaru.
"You should keep it down. You are attracting too much attention."
"Who are you supposed to be?"
"I am Yakushi Kabuto and I am somewhat of a veteran in these exams."
"So have you taken these exams before?"
"Well they are held bi-annual, so this would be my seventh time. I could give you some info. With my ninja info cards. These card hold all information I gathered, encoded with my chakra."
He showed them a map of the Elemental Nations.
"Do those cards have any info on candidates, individually?" Sasuke asked.
"They might, anyone specific in mind?"
"I might."
"Well I can't promise that my information is complete, but I have something on about anyone here. So who do you have in mind?"
"Gaara of the Desert, Rock Lee and Shulmah."
"Well there goes the fun, you even know their names. Well first off is Rock Lee. He is a year older than you guys. Mission experience is eleven C-ranks and twenty D-ranks. Squad members are Hyuuga Neji and Higurashi Tenten. Their sensei is Maito Gai. In the last twelve months his Taijutsu has radically improved, but his other skills are pretty shaky. Last year he has gotten a lot of attention but chose not to enter the Chunin Exams, so this will be his first year, just like with you.
Next is Gaara of the Desert. Mission experience is eight C-ranks and check this out one B-rank as a Genin. There is not a lot more info on this girl, other than that she is from Suna and a rookie like you guys. But there is this, every mission, she came back without a scratch."
The Genin were shocked. A rookie, doing a B-rank with no injuries was unreal.
"And lastly, Shulmah, aka Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko…"
"I'll be taking that," Naruko dropped down from the ceiling and took the card.
She looked at the card and frowned. This guy had information only the Hokage knew.
"You are playing a very dangerous game, Yakushi Kabuto. Some of this information is highly classified."
She walked towards the boy and stared him in the eyes.
"I will be keeping this and know that I will keep a very close eye on you."
"Okay, just let me clarify something. My card says you have been on higher ranking missions."
"You are moving on dangerous territory, I'd be careful if I were you."
"The dobe was on our C turned A-rank."
"No what I saw was D to S-rank, all of which had more than a dozen completed."
"Your info must be incorrect, the highest I ever did were A-ranks."
Even though she denied the S-ranks the Genin were looking at her warily. Naruko blasted the room with Killing Intent.
"Mind your own business, before I make you my business,"
The Genin looked away and Naruko walked to a corner and sat down. She was soon joined by her teammates.
"Alright you baby faced miscreants."
Out of the smoke came Morino Ibiki.
"Shut up and get a number. Take the seat with your number."
They walked into the next room. Naruko got a seat in the front row and smirked. Ibiki saw this and gave off a smirk of his own. The test was handed out and Naruko relaxed with a smirk of mischief.
"The written part of the test will be graded on a ten point scale. You get ten points to begin with. A question you answered wrong will mean you lose a point. Answer three questions wrong, you lose three points. Second teams will be graded as one…"
"WHAT!?" Sakura yelled.
"If one member has zero points the team fails. Thirdly, the instructors around you will watch your every move, if they spot you cheating you instantly get reduced by two points. If you idiots get spotted cheating five times you and your team fails. The final question will be given out fifteen minutes after before the end of the test. You have one hour to do the test. Begin."
Naruko looked at her test and yawned.
"Ibiki-san may I have the answers, please?"
Ibiki was taken off guard.
"Err… sure."
"HEY! SASUKE-KUN SHOULD GET THOSE ANSWERS! HE'S THE BEST SHINOBI WE HAVE!"
"Does she stop screaming?"
"Gi'me a sec."
She threw a kunai at her.
"Next time that will be your head. Now shut up."
"Thank you."
He handed her the sheet. She quickly copied the answers and tapped her pencil. Nagai Ha understood and used his Orion'aigan and copied the answers. Mara did the same and so Squad Eleven was safe. She started writing a message for Ibiki. She channeled her chakra into the paper and burnt it. She noticed that her friends were mostly seated so they could cheat from each other. Naruko noticed Hinata's Byakugan was active. She took a nap and woke up to the final question.
"Alright pencils down and eyes up. Before I tell you the question you have the choice whether or not you take the question. Also there are more rules you should be aware off. Like I said, you have a choice. These rules are unique to Question Ten. Try not to be too scared."
"So what's the catch, if we don't want to do the tenth question?" Temari asked.
"If you don't take the tenth question, your score automatically drops to zero. Meaning you and your team fails. If you choose to take the question and get it wrong, you will be barred from taking the Chunin Exams ever again."
"What kind of bull is that? There are people here, who have taken the exams before," Kiba yelled.
"Well you're just unlucky to have me as a proctor this year. I make the rules and I decide the rules. If you're not feeling confident, you can skip it and try again next time," Ibiki said darkly.
"Alright the tenth and final question. Those who don't want to take the question raise your hand now."
One after another team by team quit. After some time Naruko had enough.
"Very impressive, Ibiki-san, but even with your finesse in understanding the mind you are not shattering my resolve. So please stop with the mind games and let us pass already. That's the tenth question isn't it?"
"Correct, in the ninja world is life and death. As Chunin you have to go on missions with high risk. The point of the test was to test your skills in gathering information under high pressure in a high risk scenario. Information it can be the most valuable thing in battle, how well you gather intelligence can determine if the mission is a success or a failure, if you live or die. There will be times where you have to risk your life to get it."
Ibiki showed off his head, it was full of scars and other mutilations.
"Of course you must always consider the source of your information, better to have no information than to have false information. Enemies might not give you accurate information, remember that. False information can lead to failure, death of a comrade and loss of a village. That is why I put you in the position to cheat. You had to figure out if the information was solid or not."
"Okay but I still don't see the point of the tenth question."
"The tenth question was the choice of take it or don't take it. Look at it this way, you and your squad are chosen for a mission with a high risk of death, suicide, you have the choice to take it or not. Don't take it and you and your squad live to fight another day. Take it and chances are you might not come back. It is a no win situation. These kind of choices Chunin have to face every day. There will be missions you cannot avoid. No matter how risky or dangerous. But it does not matter, you achieve it through courage and discipline. This is what Chunin are, troop leaders. Those who chose the safer of two paths, those who waver in the face of adversity, are not fit to be Chunin. You have earned the right to the next step. Congratulations."
Then the glass shattered and in a flash of movement stood a kunoichi in front of Ibiki with a banner.
"Heads up little gakis. No time to be celebrating, I'm the next proctor, Mitarashi Anko. Ready for the next test? Good! Let's go? Follow me!"
"You're early, again."
Anko blushed in embarrassment.
"How many are there? Twenty seven teams? Ibiki, are you losing you're touch?"
"Not at all. We've just got a tougher bunch of candidates this time. Just look at the first row on the right."
Anko looked and her eyes widened and a grin came to her face.
"So she is here too? Where are her teammates?"
"War paint."
Anko looked around and found them. She nodded and left with the kids. Ibiki was collecting the sheets and saw the please read note on the test of Naruko.
"Morino Ibiki, your knowledge of the inner workings of the human mind is surely impressive, but my mind is one that you will not break. On a side note, I would like you to keep a close eye on the Konoha Genin Yakushi Kabuto, he knows a lot more than he should. Please take this to the Hokage."
Ibiki saw the card and shunshined to the tower.
With Naruko
The next day Naruko was at the designated location.
"This here is Training Ground 44, the Forest of Death."
Naruko sighed. She sensed the kunai coming tilted her head and spun around. Anko was caught off guard. Naruko had Anko's head in a headlock and instantly DDTed the proctor.
"Mmhh… Your blood tastes delicious, Mitarashi-san."
She got up and spin elbowed a ninja coming towards her with a kunai.
"Don't sneak up to me or I will not hold back next time."
"My apologies, I was just returning the knife."
"Alright."
"Alright gakis, fill out these forms and we can begin."
They took the forms filled them out and handed them back.
"Alright go to the booth and take a scroll. You can have either a Heaven or an Earth scroll. You will need one of both of these scrolls. And then get to the center tower. You have five days to reach it. Do not read or open the scrolls until you reached the tower with a fully functional team."
"What about food?" Akimichi Choji asked.
"Well the forest is full of food. But also you can be food for the forest. But as there are no rules you could just eat a defeated opponent," Mara said.
"Right, I here Genin taste great this time around," Nagai Ha said.
Everyone took a step back from the three feral grinning Genin.
"Alright get to your gates."
They ran to their gates and waited. After some time the chain was removed and the door sprang open. The three ran in and used their Orion'aigan. They quickly spotted a team and ambushed them. They were Konoha Genin. Naruko stepped in front of them.
"Look it's the bitch that took away our sign of friendship. Let's kill her."
"Before I waste my time, tell me what scroll do you have?"
"As if you could defeat us, but to humor you, we've got a Heaven Scroll."
Naruko smirked. Seconds later the three Genin fell to the ground with an arrow to the neck. She scavenged everything and left the area. She met up with her team and raced to the tower. She opened the scrolls and threw them to the ground. In a cloud of smoke, there stood Umino Iruka.
"Well I wasn't expecting to be called out here so early. Congratulations Shulmah. You completely shattered the record by more than five hours. Please choose a room in the tower and rest until the test is over."
They nodded and left. Naruko stayed behind.
"I'll do some scouting guys, summon me when the test is over."
The two nodded and left. Naruko turned and headed back to the forest. On the way she ran into a squad of Iwa ninja and swiftly decapitated them. She sealed everything and now had an Earth Scroll. She headed off again and ran south. After some time she ran into Squad Eight. She landed in front of them ninja-to drawn.
"Hey Shulmah-chan, why are you here?" Hinata asked.
"It would seem that Shulmah-san is here to liberate us from our scroll," Shino said.
"I hate to disappoint you, Shino-san, but I already completed the test. I just came by to see if you needed a scroll."
"Naah, we're fine. We already got the scrolls. By the way where is the tower?" Kiba asked.
Naruko pointed in the direction. She nodded and ran off. She felt an intense blast of KI and headed there. She saw Squad Seven paralyzed in fear of a woman. She took an arrow from her quiver and shot it into the air.
"Hanta no Geijutsu: Shi no Sen Doriru Kako Ya!"
The arrows rained down and the woman dodged. She appeared in front of her and kicked her.
"Wrong move."
She ducked and disappeared. She watched the woman summon a snake and head for Sasuke. After a brief confrontation Gotegma and Sakura were paralyzed again and Sasuke got bitten by the woman.
"My name is Orochimaru," the woman said.
"If you want to kill your brother, seek me out and I will give you the power you desire."
She let him fall to his teammates and looked up. She was surrounded by Naruko clones.
"Well who would have thought I would get to meet the master mind behind my first S-rank mission. Orochimaru, mind telling me what you are doing here and now?"
"My… It seems you know me, but other than your name I do not know you, Naruko-chan."
She blasted Naruko with KI. Naruko just shrugged it off and revealed her true form.
"Wrong, you may call me Kyuubi."
She blasted away the KI and easily overpowered it with her own. Orochimaru was shocked and interested.
"Now tell me…"
Naruko disappeared and reappeared right in front of him.
"What do you want with the Uchiha?"
"I just gave him a little gift."
He struck the clone, but instead of bursting into smoke it split into two new ones. His eyes widened.
"Impressive isn't it. This is my personal clone jutsu. No matter how many you destroy they just double. Now it's time to end this. Ninpo: Bushin Daibakuh!"
The entire forest shook. Naruko had already taken Squad Seven away. She felt the blast of the explosion.
"Maybe I overdid it by creating five thousand clones," she said to herself.
She brought them to a hollow and laid them down. Sakura was the first to wake up.
"What are you doing here, Baka?"
"Shut it. Heal them, you have three more days and your team is down."
She left and headed to the outer boundaries of the clearing and laid down on a branch, she knew she was being watched, but she also knew that there was no need to worry. She watched Sakura fall asleep and waking up abruptly.
"Pitiful."
She waited and the next day she was woken up by the Oto ninja. She watched them trying to hide.
"Pitiful," Naruko murmured.
She watched them send a squirrel with a paper bomb. She was angry, but she kept herself hidden. The animal ran to the hollow but Sakura threw a kunai at it. The squirrel turned and ran. She looked at the ground and saw a very poorly hidden trap.
"Pitiful."
She created an army of clones and had them surround the clearing. The Oto Nin charged into the clearing.
"Idiots, Rule Number One: Never rush your opponents."
"Some lookout. Falling asleep. Well the good thing is you don't have to anymore, now that I have found you. Now wake the Uchiha up we want to fight him."
After a small verbal confrontation they charged. From above they sailed through the air, the trap Sakura made was easily destroyed. Out of nowhere Lee appeared with the squirrel on his shoulder.
"Konoha Senpu!"
He kicked the three Oto Nin, who were sent back a few yards.
"Who are you?"
"I am the Beautiful Green Beast of the Leaf Village, my name is Rock Lee"
He set the squirrel to the ground and got into his fighting stance. The Oto Nin with the bandaged face charged. Lee pulled out a route and blocked his path.
Naruko sensed Squad Ten hiding in the bushes and Lee's teammates standing on a branch.
Lee unwrapped his arms and disappeared. He kicked the ninja into the air. Lee jumped into the air behind him. His tape rapped around the ninja and Lee started spinning.
"Omote Renge!"
They hit the ground head first. The Oto Nin landed in a pile of dirt and got up again. Lee couldn't believe it. The ninja charged and Lee was hit by his jutsu. Lee wavered and collapsed. Naruko analyzed everything she saw and smirked. They were showing her everything. Sakura threw kunai and shuriken, only for them to be blocked and sent back with air. After that she was held by her hair. After a few exchanged words, she started sobbing and cut her hair off. Now Sakura got up and attacked. She used the Kawarimi no Jutsu. She always appeared from a different angle. After a while she tricked her opponent into thinking she had switched again. She rammed kunai into his arm and bit down into the other. The ninja started hitting her head.
After a few minutes he had finally freed himself from her. She was punched into her face and she flew away. The ninja was about to use his jutsu when Squad Ten made their move. They stopped in front of Sakura and blocked the path. After a verbal confrontation the Squad attacked Choji raced to them as a giant boulder. He was blocked by the air but Choji just jumped over the airstream. The bandaged Oto Nin was captured by Shikamaru. Choji was still chasing down his opponent. Ino used the female Oto Nin as a hostage, but the plan only backfired.
Just then Neji appeared and threw around a few words but stopped. After his speech Sasuke woke up with a very ominous chakra and proceeded to pound away at the bandaged Oto Nin. Then he appeared behind the air bending Oto Nin after he tried to blast him. Sasuke hit him and he flew away. After a quick kunai attack disguised with fire he grabbed the Nin's arms and broke them. The bandaged Oto Nin gave up the scroll and left with his teammates. Sasuke calmed down after Sakura engulfed him in a hug. After the Oto Nin left Naruko jumped down from her perch. The clones did as well.
"My, my. You sure know how to put on a show, Uchiha."
"I've got you now, dobe."
He charged at the girl but was pierced by twenty arrows made of chakra.
"Hanta no Geijutsu: Supiritto no Yajirushi o Kantsū
You just don't know when to give up Uchiha. Those arrows will paralyze you for an hour. Oi Shikamaru-san, you still need a scroll?"
"Why are you asking?"
"I found one on my way here. Don't worry, I have already completed the test. So you got an Earth Scroll?"
"No we have heave Heaven."
"Here you go. Come I'll take you to the tower"
"Hey, you can't just leave us here!" Sakura screeched.
"On the contrary. I could kill you if I wanted to. Be happy you get that scroll."
She took off and Squad Ten followed. Shortly after they arrived at the tower. Naruko asked Asuma who was there to greet them, to take her to the Hokage. He did and Naruko instantly went to her cold façade.
"We've got a problem, Hokage-sama."
"I know. Orochimaru is here but we do not know what he wants."
"Well he seems to be after the Uchiha, he gave him one of his hickies. I have copied it and studied it. I think I could destroy it, but I will need some things from my home."
"Impressive. You certainly have surpassed both of your parents. Now please return to your team. You will be needed in a day."
"Hai Hokage-sama."
She left and went to her room. She studied the seal along with her two teammates. The next day she stood in front of the Hokage. The Hokage explained the reasons of the Chunin Exams in the end it turned out there were too many candidates and there would be preliminaries. Yakushi Kabuto quit, and Sasuke got called out first. His opponent was a kunoichi from Kiri.
The fight was rather uneventful. The kunoichi only used Suiton: Suiben no Jutsu. Sasuke dodged the strikes and defeated her with his Shishi Rendan. After that Kakashi took him away.
"I require the help of the Uzumaki Clan, once the preliminary rounds are over," he said before leaving.
The next Fight was Hanyou no Mara vs Abumi Zaku.
Mara waited for him to attack. He used his Zankuha. The fight was over fast though as Mara dodged and used her speed to get close to him and cut the tendons in his arms. Mara was announced winner and Zaku was sent to the hospital.
Akado Yoroi vs Aburame Shino
Yoroi charged at Shino. He got a grip on the young Aburame and started absorbing the chakra of his opponent. What he didn't know, was that he was absorbing the chakra of a bug clone. So as soon as he started, they broke down and over ran Yoroi. After two minutes Yoroi collapsed due to chakra exhaustion.

Hanyou no Nagai Ha vs Kyami Chu Lii (Kiri Kunoichi)
Nagai Ha jumped down and landed in the center of the arena. The Kiri Kunoichi was walking down the stairs swaying her hips a lot. She looked at her opponent, licking her lips. Nagai Ha was as impassive as ever. Sure his opponent was a female and yes she was a beauty, but he already had given his heart to someone else. The Kunoichi saw the look and was angry. No man could withstand her looks. That was why she excelled in one on one combat, especially with males.
"So, may I ask where you are from, handsome? You don't seem to be living in this village." She said with a purr in her voice.
"I may live here or I may not. Maybe you can convince me to tell you," he replied with a smile.
On the walkway Mara was starting to growl.
"I intend to do so. But how about we settle this civilized? Could I convince you to surrender, Na-kun?" she purred.
The smile on Nagai Ha's face grew into a full blown grin.
"Perhaps, but how about you start? Ladies first, after all."
The Kunoichi walked up to him and then started running. She started tapping him. He turned to her and remained impassive. On the stands Naruko and Mara smelled the pheromones in the air.
"Sheesh, enough already," Kiba exclaimed.
"What's wrong Kiba-kun?" Hinata asked.
"She's pumping the air full of pheromones. I don't even have to try to smell them and it's getting harder to control myself."
"I know what you mean, Kiba-san, but it is not going to work. Nagai Ha is way too disciplined for those kind of tricks. See."
In the arena Nagai Ha had done his first move. He now held his opponent in front of him. Her arms struggling to get free of his embrace.
"As stimulating as this wonderful match is, we have to end this, don't want to keep the others waiting now, do we."
In a flash, he chopped the back of his opponent's neck, rendering her unconscious.
Hitori Gotegma vs Gaara of the Desert
The fight was practically over before it began. Gotegma started by throwing a barrage of kunai and shuriken at his opponent but they were all blocked by Gaara's sand. After that he tried to engage her in Taijutsu, but he never had a chance. Gaara ordered her sand to grab him by the ankle and flail him around, letting him smash against the floor, walls and ceiling. After a few minutes, she let him go and he flew into a wall again. Amazingly enough, he got up. He then did the hand signs for the Bushin no Jutsu but Gaara made a wave of sand and let it roll over them. She trapped the boy in her Sabaku Kyu.
"Surrender, or I will crush you until you are part of my sand," she said.
Gotegma surrendered and was released.

After the fight Neji tried to end the life of Hinata. Naruko stepped in before the Jonin could even reach him and planted him face first into the ground, with his arm behind his back at the breaking point. She leaned down.
"I know your pain, Hyuuga Neji," she whispered into his ear, adding pressure to his arm, to keep him from back chatting.
"If you want to be freed of the curse you are bearing and want your father back, go to your clan head and tell him to come to me. I have a proposal for him. In the meantime, I suggest you keep yourself under control."
She backed off and went back to her spot. Hinata was taken to the hospital.
Yamanaka Ino vs Haruno Sakura

Amani Tsugi (Kiri Kunoichi) vs Inuzuka Kiba
The fight was rather interesting to watch. It was obvious from the fighting styles that the two specialized on two completely opposite fields. Kiba excelled in hand to hand combat and was rather offensive. His teamwork with Akamaru in conjunction with his Family Jutsu he was on a constant attacking spree. The Kiri Kunoichi was on the complete opposite of the scale. She excelled in the defense and the support of her team. It didn't matter what Kiba and Akamaru tried she either blocked, dodged or countered it. After a tiring battle both had reached about their limits. They put all of their remaining power into their last technique. Kiba hit her with his Gatsuga he hit her head on. She had used her Suiton: Aian Mizu Sukin no Jutsu. And in a cloud of dust they disappeared. When the dust settled the two were both unconscious.
Final match Rock Lee vs Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko
Everyone in the arena was dumbstruck and looked at the girl. Naruko sensed their fear and gave them an extremely feral grin. She jumped down to the arena and waited. Lee was also fired up and waited for his sensei to give him advice.
"Lee, if this is true, you have found a truly youthful opponent. Watch her every move and do not underestimate her. Now go for it. Show them how youthful you are."
Naruko watched the exchange and saw Lee jump down to the arena.
"I am Rock Lee, the Hidden Leaf Village's Second Green Beast. I am happy to be your opponent. I hope to prove my youth to you."
"It is a pleasure Rock Lee, My name is Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko. Before we begin, please tell me in which field of the Ninja Arts you excel. I can fight you in Genjutsu, Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Kenjutsu or Fuinjutsu. I will let you choose, as an act of comradeship."
Everyone in the arena gasped.
"Could she really be this good?" Gai asked Kakashi.
Kakashi looked to Zabuza who was leaning against the wall. He waved him over.
"What can I do for you, Kakashi-san?"
"Well, we would like to know, just how far Naruko has gotten ever since the Genin Test."
"Well, I don't really know. The few spars I had with her, Naruko-sama has always beat me. She has trained me and my family into the ground. On top of that, I think her Bingo Book entry says it all."
"What? She is already in the Bingo Book?"
"Yes, she has been in it even before the academy. Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko, Shinku Hantoresu no Konoha, Konoha's Crimson Huntress," Kakashi answered for him.
"This is bad. Lee do your best!" Gai yelled.
Everyone heard what Kakashi had said.
"If that is your wish, I choose Taijutsu," Lee said.
"Very well, Rock Lee. Allow me to put this in your words. I, Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko challenge you, Rock Lee, to a Taijutsu Battle to test the Power of Youth between the two of us."
"I accept your challenge, Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko, let us see whose Youth burns more brightly. And I shall prove to you that hard work, can overpower natural talent."
On the stands Kakashi was witnessing his worst of nightmares come to life. His sensei's sweet little daughter was taking over his rival Gai's life philosophy. He felt like running and crying and yelling all at the same time. Gai on the other hand was crying his waterfall tears.
"That's the spirit, show us the Power of Youth!"
"You do not need to prove the worth of hard work. A genius is only hailed as such because they are stronger than others, but over time they will be overrun by those that work hard, as geniuses will not train as hard, thinking they are better than anyone else. In the end those who work hard, beat natural talent."
Lee was now mirroring his mentor, crying waterfall tears.
"I thank you for those inspirational words. I promise, I will give you my absolute best."
"Then let us begin, my youthful friend."
By now both Kakashi and Gai were crying. Kakashi out of horror and Gai out of joy.
Lee got into his Goken while Naruko got into the oldest Taijutsu style she knew Ryu no Esukepu Ken.
"Ryu no Esukepu Ken. It can't be. That style hasn't been seen in over a hundred years. Where did she learn that?" Gai exclaimed.
"I take it you know this style?"
"I have only heard about it, it is said that the style is so adaptable that it can block and counter any style the user encounters. It is extremely advanced, and to think she has already mastered it to such a degree. I can't imagine how hard she must have pushed herself."
Her arms were slightly bent in front of her forming an open triangle. Lee charged at her and jumped into the air, spinning around he delivered two kicks in quick succession but Naruko blocked and moved with the momentum of them both.
"Konoha Senpu!"
He turned around and looked at his opponent. He had hit her, but she had blocked them effortlessly.
"The Lotus of the Leaf Village blooms twice," Naruko said.
Lee was surprised.
"That is the secret of the Lotus and all techniques derived from it. The trick is while the enemy may have dodged the first kick, he will be hit by the second. You are very proficient in the Goken, I wonder, do you know any other forms of Taijutsu?"
"No I do not. I have specialized my entire training in that style. It is my strength and I will wield it and become stronger than my sensei."
"Very admirable. But I will tell you this in good will, you may have a very hard match. I know a multitude of styles and as soon as I know your moves I will take on the style my family is most infamous for. But for now I will use Goken as well."
Lee couldn't believe it. He had a true genius in front of him, someone who could decipher his style with no help. This only motivated him even more. He smiled and started attacking. He threw punches, kicks, knees, elbows, everything he knew, but she matched him blow for blow. He was amazed by her skill. Again they broke apart after a series of punches.
"Unbelievable, to think she is as good as Lee!" Gai said astonished.
Naruko changed her stance again.
"Odoru Ryu."
Lee attacked once again and Naruko danced around him. The match had been going on now for over ten minutes. Naruko could see the frustration in the eyes of her opponent and decided to let him have one hit. Lee saw an opening and took it. He used his speed and kicked her in the air. He appeared under her.
"Kage Buyo. Very impressive."
Lee's tape wrapped itself around her, forming a cocoon. Lee grabbed her and started spinning.
"Omote Renge!"
She hit the ground head on. Lee jumped away and landed on the fingertips of the statue. Naruko was in pain. Not too much to be injured but enough to feel it. She got up and dusted herself off.
"Very impressive Lee-san. Very impressive. Your lotus is truly powerful."
"Take'em off, Lee."
Lee looked at his sensei and nodded. He took of the weights he was carrying and dropped them. The blast from the fall was impressive to say the least.
"Very impressive Lee-san. How much weight was that?"
"Those were about two hundred pounds each."
"Impressive, now let me release my weights as well."
With a single hand seal some of the tattoos on her body and wrists glowed and faded again.
"I am an Uzumaki, I use seals to enhance my physical prowess, and specifically I use Weight, Resistance and Gravity Seals. My Weight Seals are at three hundred pounds per limb, my Resistance Seals are at ten times the resistance of water and my Gravity Seals are at five times the usual gravity. Now I know of the sacrifice one pays for the powers of the Lotus. The speed you gain from the Lotus is so great, your muscles will start to tear up from the strain you put them through with said speed. The sacrifice is pain. A technique like the Lotus is supposed to be a last resort for stronger opponents. A finisher. I am honored you consider me to be such an opponent."
Lee nodded and waited a little, now he could move freely again. He charged his opponent with speed only Jonin could follow. Naruko grinned and matched her opponent. Everyone was in awe. The speed was incredible. Naruko knew that Lee was at his limits. He knew how to open the Eight Inner Gates. And if he knew the Frontal Lotus, he probably knew the Reverse Lotus as well. Sure enough they had once again stopped and now Lee was opening the Gates.
"Kaimon open. Kyumon open. Seimon open. Shomon open. Tomon open."
He burst away, he punched Naruko into the air and continued to pound her from all angles. He came from above and punched her straight into the stomach. She hit the ground hard, then she was pulled up again and was pounded into the ground. Lee fell to the ground and when the dust settled Naruko was starting to get back up. The sounds of her bones rearranging echoed through the arena.
"Very impressive, Lee-san. But now it's my turn."
She rushed to him faster than sound.
"Uzumaki Taijutsu: Pamu Hasai!"
Everyone was shocked at the speed and hearing the name of the style Gai rushed in, but he was too late. Naruko had struck, but not at Lee's head. She had struck next to it leaving the imprint of her hand on the ground, ten foot deep. Lee looked at the hand and then at the hole. Lee was scared and relieved at the same time. The amount of power was amazing, he shuddered at the thought if that would have been his head.
"You are truly amazing Lee-san. You have proven yourself a true Genius of Hard Work. Come by my home sometime, maybe we can create our own style, ehh… I thank you for this extraordinary match. I was having a good time."
"Thank you Naruko-chan."
"No problem."
After that the proctor called out the victors of the matches.
"The third part of these exams will be held as a tournament. Please draw a number out of this bowl."
One by one the Genin pulled a number and looked at it.
"Two." Neji said.
"Nine." Shikamaru replied.
"Eight." Dosu said.
"Ten." Mara answered.
"Eleven." Nagai Ha said.
"Seven." Temari said.
"Six." Shino said.
"One." Naruko said
"Three." Gaara said.
"Five." Kankuro said.
"Which means the Gaki is number four," Anko said.
"You all have one month to prepare, use the information you have gathered from these preliminaries. We will see each other in one month. Try to get some rest as well."
Naruko and her team left and she sent her team to the mansion with a clone and had it get her a few went to the hospital. She used her Sensor skills to find Kakashi and Sasuke. As soon as she entered theroom, she regretted to not have killed the Uchiha when she had the chance in the forest.
"The dobe? You had me waiting here all this time for the dobe."
"Naruko is an expert at least when it comes to seals. Being an Uzumaki she also has a natural affinity to them, in any way she knows more about this than I do. Now shut up."
Just then the clone came and brought the supplies. She had the clone lock the door and put up Barrier, Privacy and Security Seals, after that it dispelled.
"Alright, I am doing this for a favor for your sensei, Uchiha. So you will be quiet and let me work."
She started drawing signs around the seal.
"This is a three stage process. First we have to open the seal, then we have to break it down and destroy it. After that we have to fill the spot with your blood to completely heal the spot. This will hurt, but try to remain quiet."
She cut his hand and drained some blood into a container. After that she activated the first stage. She channeled her chakra into the design and slowly but surely the sealing formula began to show, as well as the poison that was injected. Naruko drained the poison and sealed it for later study. Soon the sealing formula started to vanish. After five minutes it was completely gone. All the while Sasuke was screaming his head off.
"Alright Uchiha, one more stage, and this will hurt like nothing before."
