Training and Fighting
It had been a few days and Naruko had been working herself into the ground each day. She had mastered yet another style in Taijutsu and Kenjutsu and Kurama had taught her a few new jutsu. Right now she was perfecting them on a Training Field. When the sun set she returned to her home. Once there she ran into Haku.
"Hey Haku, would you mind teaching me your Hyoton?"
"But Naruko-sama, my Hyoton is a Kekkai Genkai. It cannot be learned."
"Don't worry about that, I have a Dojutsu that can copy all jutsu, even Kekkai Genkai. It adapts my body to the necessary factors."
"Well, if that is the case I will do so first thing in the morning."
The next morning came and Naruko and Haku were in the yard. Naruko had her Orion'aigan activated and was looking intently at everything Haku was doing. Haku was going through all of her Ice Jutsu. Naruko copied them and then tried them herself with the help of an army of clones. Haku gave pointers every now and then and was amazed by the progress. They stopped after a few hours and Naruko had already mastered the basics of the Hyoton.
"We'll call it a day. Do you want to go to the hot springs?"
"Of course Naruko-sama."
They made their way to the hot springs. They soaked in the warm water. They were enjoying the silence and the soothing of the water when Naruko sensed a strong Chakra Source. She activated her Orion'aigan and saw an old man peeking through a hole in the wooden fence.
"Suiton: Mizurappa!"
Naruko blasted the man with a huge stream of water. It flew through the fence and hit the man dead on. Naruko and the other women got into their clothes and left. Naruko stalked up to the man who was currently shaking his head and wringing the water out of his white hair.
"Mind telling me what you were doing here, Sannin no Jiraiya?"
"So, a beauty such as yourself has heard about me. What can I do for you? Are you here to ask me if you can star in my new book?" he asked with a giggle.
"As much as I enjoy reading your work, we have things to discuss. Haku, please go back to the compound."
"Hai."
"Now then, how about we go somewhere, where there will not be a hunt going on for your head."
She grabbed his shoulder and dragged him into the forest.
"Well I like them feisty," Jiraiya giggled, when they arrived.
"Don't even think about it. Do you know who I am?"
"Well, I would say you are a local beauty who also appreciates my work. Hey! Watch it!"
Naruko had thrown a kunai inches under his crotch.
"While I do appreciate the compliment, Jiraiya-sama, know that that was no accident, the next time you try to fool around with me, I will aim just a little higher," Naruko said in a cold tone.
Jiraiya's face instantly paled.
"Now, do you know who I am?"
"No, I do not," he said seriously.
"Well then, let me enlighten you. Thirteen years ago the village was attacked by the Kyuubi, the Yondaime knew he could not defeat the creature, so he sealed it in a child born on that same night."
Naruko watched as the man grew more nervous by the second.
"He and his wife sacrificed themselves to seal the demon inside of the child. From that day the child was ostracized, hated for reasons it could not understand. Until one day it got the answer to the one question it never found the answer to. Why? The child knew now and left the village and became strong, so strong that it was allowed to know of its heritage."
Now Jiraiya was seriously sweating.
"The child found out its parents had doomed it for life. It was the Yondaime's own child. Does this sound familiar, Jiraiya-sama?"
Naruko was leaking KI at a rapidly growing level, it could be felt all over the village.
"But the story doesn't end there. The child had two godparents, both of which it never knew. So tell me Jiraiya-sama, does this ring a bell?"
She channeled her chakra into the seal of the Kyuubi and let it appear. Jiraiya was now gasping for air. The Killing Intent was intense. All he could do was nod. Naruko released the KI and looked at the old man.
"So tell me Kyofu, have you been so busy that you couldn't even come visit, even when you were in the village?"
"I am sorry, Naruko, I know I should have visited, but I was too narrow minded and thought only about my spy network. I apologize, can you forgive me?"
"I can and I will, however I would like you to train me. I am participating in the Chunin Exams and I am in the finals."
"I see, so how far are you?"
"I am proficient in all aspects of the Ninja Arts, what I would like to have is a few new jutsu."
"Well that can be arranged, tell me, have you ever heard of summons?"
"Yes, I have. I am also in a summoning contract with the Four Heavenly Rulers and the Kitsune."
"You, what?!"
"I have the ability to summon foxes, dragons and serpents."
"I… I don't know what to say. Please show me these summons."
Naruko nodded and did the required hand seals.
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"
There was a huge cloud of smoke and went it disappeared Jiraiya was short of a heart attack. In front of him stood a human sized fox with green fur, a Sea Serpent with emerald scales, a snake with legs covered by grass green scales, a dragon with two legs in white scales and a four legged dragon covered in fiery red scales.
"What can we do for you, Naruko?
"Nothing today, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up, because we might be fighting together in a few weeks."
"Understood. We will tell the others, please have a nice day, Naruko."
"You too."
With that they dispelled. Jiraiya whistled.
"Well I'll be damned. Well, how about I teach you one of your father's jutsu, the Rasengan?"
"I would appreciate that," Naruko said.
"Alright let's head into town to get the things we need."
They went into town and as usual Naruko was being glared at. Jiraiya noticed this but decided to question it later. He also noticed the subtle change in the BDUs of the shinobi. They bought a bag of water balls and a bag of air balls. Then they headed back to the forest.
"Alright Naruko. This is what the Rasengan looks like."
He did the jutsu and showed her the spinning orb of chakra. Naruko was intrigued.
"Now the training has three steps. We'll go one by one. First try bursting a water ball by retaining your chakra in the palm of your hand. Like this."
Jiraiya took a water ball and after a few seconds it started to show signs of movement. It stretched in multiple directions until it went out with a plop. Naruko took a ball next. She channeled her chakra into her hand, then she started rotating it. She noticed she did not get the same effect as her mentor so she tried spinning it in multiple directions and sure enough the balloon started to expand and burst.
"Well done, you truly are his daughter. You've got talent kid. What are you doing?"
"I am decreasing the training period by increasing the amount of experience I get. Kage Bushin no Jutsu."
She created a dozen clones and had them train with the remaining water balloons. Jiraiya was astounded by the maturity of his goddaughter. She already knew and mastered an A-rank Kinjutsu and knew how to use it to her own benefit. He took out an air balloon and explained the next step.
"Alright, the first step was rotation, the second step is to steadily increase the speed of those rotations. Try making an air balloon pop now."
He showed her the result and then Naruko tried. The clones had dispelled and she now had their experience as well. She channeled her chakra into the ball and started speeding the rotations up. After a few seconds the balloon exploded.
"Well done. Now all you have to do is compress your chakra so it takes the shape of a sphere. What you have to do is take the prior two steps and keep them contained within the space of the balloon."
Naruko created an army of clones and they each took one balloon. Those that didn't have a balloon tried to do it without it. After a few minutes Naruko had managed to maintain it long enough for the jutsu to accelerate by itself. Jiraiya was impressed.
"Very good, now I'll be leaving you, I've got research to do."
"Have fun peeking, by the way, if I see you peeking on me or the females of my clan again, I will make your life a living hell."
Jiraiya nodded and left. Naruko continued to train until it was dark and started to head home. She suddenly sensed a large discharge of chakra and saw the brief form of Shukaku. Naruko sent a clone to where the spike of the dust cloud pointed and headed for its beginning. She sensed and smelled three chakra signatures and decided to be safe and hid hers. She landed on a roof and overheard Kabuto talking to the Jonin from Suna. She also smelled Gekko Hayate, the proctor of the third exam. It seemed that Kabuto was a spy for Oto. Suna and Oto was planning on invading and destroying Konoha. Hayate was found out and the Jonin from Suna followed. Naruko followed them and watched.
Hayate was forced to fight, he attacked with the Mikazuki no Mai, but it was blocked by the Jonin's armor. The Jonin then used Kaze no Yaiba. He struck the helpless Hayate and killed him. When the coast was clear, two figures landed next two the body.
"That was a close one," the shorter one said, clearly female.
"I'll say, but how in the world did you know where to find me? And what is it that we are looking at? It's rather disturbing seeing myself dead," the other one said.
"Well Hayate-san, I am a sensor and I sensed a spike of chakra and decided to go check it out. Two, what you are looking at is a Time Clone, depending on how much chakra is used to create it, it will last longer or not. It doesn't matter what happens to the clone, it can die and it will look like a real body. This one will be around for about two more months. But as soon as it is found it should be cremated so no problem. I hope you know that until this mess is solved, you are a shadow, you do not exist anymore."
"I understand, Uzumaki-san, but why would you save me?"
"Well, I know of your relationship with Neko-nee-chan, and she would kill me if she found out I was doing nothing to save you. I've witnessed her angry once, that is enough for me. Come on, I will let you stay at my estate, but you are to only speak with the people of my clan. Whatever they say, is a direct order for you as long as you need to stay dead."
"I understand."
They went to the mansion and Hayate was shown a room. Over the course of the next few days Naruko practiced her Hyoton.
One day she was visited by a Cadet Branch member of the Hyuuga Clan. She stood outside the gates, on high alert.
"What can I do for you, Hyuuga-san?"
"I am sorry to disturb you, Uzumaki-sama, but Hiashi-sama wanted to inform you that he would like to see you in a few days."
"Of course, tell him I will be coming over tomorrow."
The Hyuuga nodded and left. Naruko left as well in search of her new mentor. As expected she found him in front of the hot springs. She walked over to him and sat down.
"Well, I can't say my Kyofu doesn't have taste," she said looking through a different hole.
"What, Naruko, what are you doing here?"
"Ahh… You know, enjoying the view, finding my Kyofu spying on my clan, once again… So you know, the usual…"
Jiraiya turned around nervously. He had experienced the consequences of his peeking more than once. And boy, this girl could throw a punch that made Tsunade's look weak.
"Now, now, let's not get hasty, Naru-chan," he tried to talk his way out of this mess.
"Cut it and follow."
She walked into a hot spring disguised as a man. She rented the place for a few hours and they got into the water. She released the transformation and soaked. Jiraiya did the same, however he stayed on the far side of the pool. Naruko created a few Shadow Clones and had the clones transform.
"Haremu no Jutsu."
Jiraiya couldn't believe it. In front of him were five drop dead gorgeous women.
"So Jiraiya-sama, why can't you stay away from our family?" the women purred.
"I'm sorry, could you ever forgive me, you gorgeous darlings?"
Naruko dispelled the clones but stayed in her transformation.
"My eyes are up here, Jiraiya-sama."
"Hehe… Sorry. I meant no offence."
Naruko transformed back.
"Good now I would like to know if I could further advance the Rasengan."
"Well the Fourth never got to finish it, but many think it is already completed. What you could try is to add an element to it and see what happens. But in anyway, I say refine the skills you have and take a few days rest before the exams, I'll be around."
He got up and left. Naruko enjoyed the warm water and heeded the old man's advice. She trained the styles she knew and refined the skills. The meeting with the Hyuugas was rather promising.
Naruko walked to the Hyuuga Clan Compound with Zabuza as her guard. She was lead to the Clan Heads office. Once there she took a seat.
"You wished to talk to me, Uzumaki-san. What is it that I can do for you?"
"I am here to offer a proposal to you, for the benefit of your clan. I went through the files my father left behind and it seems he and you were old friends. And to honor that friendship, he started designing a seal to protect the Byakugan. I have completed that seal and I was wondering if you are still willing to accept this gift of your late friend."
"I had given up hope for the seal, but the elder council was against the idea. They want to brand Hinata as well."
"She may not be your typical Hyuuga, Hiashi-san, but she has the true prowess of a huntress. I think her problem is the training methods your clan uses. I know she is strong and she can fight, but with the right encouragement she can be a strong leader."
"That still does not change the fact that she is weak."
"Hiashi-san, Hinata is not weak. It is not the fault of the student for not being able to do a task, it is the teacher's. Now are you going to accept the seal or not?"
"I would, but the elders will not."
"Hiashi-san, the way I see it I can help you in more ways than one."
Naruko started grinning.
"I could give you back the love you lost and the brother who sacrificed himself to save you."
"And how would you be doing that?"
"I am in a partial summoning contract with Shinigami-sama, I can bring back the dead… For a price."
"And what price would that be?"
"The sacrifice of four living souls," Naruko grinned.
"Your elders want a branded Hyuuga, brand them a Hyuuga. You want the mother of your daughters and your brother, give their lives to me."
"If you can prove to me, that you can return them, you have yourself a deal."
"Alright."
She went through a string of hand seals and transported them to the hunting realm.
Hunting Realm
They walked to a shrine and Hiashi was amazed by the girl.
"Bound to one realm
serving in another;
your servant stands
Waiting for Thou
she is asking for Thou"
Hiashi was wondering what this had to do with the girl proving she can bring back the dead. After her chant was done there was a bright light. Hiashi instantly tensed. Out of the light a horrendous being appeared. He saw Naruko bow to one knee, and decided to do the same. The Shinigami looked at Naruko and then at the Hyuuga and then back to Naruko.
"What can I do for you, young huntress?"
"Shinigami-sama, I present Hyuuga Hiashi, head of the Hyuuga Clan. I have offered to return the love of his wife, which he lost to the birth of his second child. And his brother, who sacrificed himself to protect him from death."
"I see, Hyuuga Hiashi, this child can bring back to you those two souls, however, it comes with a price. Are you willing to pay it?"
"Yes, I am."
"Very well, please give me the names of those you are wishing to have back. I will let Naruko fill you in on the details."
"Hyuuga Hizashi and Hyuuga Hinakomi."
The Shinigami disappeared.
"So… You have proven you are able to return them, now what do you want in return?"
"Two things. First, this is a requirement for this to work. I need four living sacrifices to be sent to this plain of existence, two per soul returned. The other thing is, I want training in the Jukenpo."
"You want to be trained in our Taijutsu? That is impossible, you cannot use it, without the Byakugan."
"I too have a Dojutsu. And it is far more superior to the Byakugan."
"You have a Dojutsu?"
Naruko activated her Orion'aigan.
"Yes."
"Astounding. Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko, you and I have an agreement."
"Just to make sure we understand each other Hiashi-san. Your elders are threatening a dear friend of mine, by making her a glorified slave, with the very seal that she despises. It may be an old Hyuuga tradition, but I have also studied the seal on one of your branch members. What it is now, is a disgrace. It was modified by elders of the past to have slaves. Hinata does not want her family to be split. And I know you as a father do not want to see that seal on your daughter. I gave you a seal that is irremovable to anyone not of my kind and will seal the Byakugan and destroy the genetic map of Byakugan wielders. In return, I will only accept the lives of the entirety of your elder council. If they cannot see past the fact that Hinata is kind hearted and female, they deserve to die, on the grounds of threatening my friend."
Naruko said this with a coldness in her eyes that made the Hyuuga head shudder.
"I understand. I will have the clan go to our outer courtyard for a posed execution after the exams. They will be on the platform, you may strike then."
"As you wish, you will see your family again… After the exams."
Real World
"It was nice talking to you, Hiashi-san. I will take my leave now."
Naruko left and continued with the plans she had made for the rest of the time she had. A few days later she was woken up in the middle of the night by the three Suna siblings. Naruko let them in and took them to the kitchen.
"So what can I do for you?" she said.
"Our father arrived today. We had a nice time and he encouraged Kankuro and me, but then he started acting out of character," Temari said.
"What did he do?"
"He called me 'Daughter'. He does not do that, he never acknowledges the bond of blood we share. All I am to him is a weapon that cannot be controlled.
"So Orochimaru is posing as your father. I hope you know we will have to go to the Hokage, immediately now."
"Yes, we know."
"Good follow me."
They went straight to the Sarutobi clan compound. The two guards tensed but soon recognized the familiar outfit. They knew who she was and quickly let them in. One of them brought the group to the office the other got the Hokage. Seconds after entering the office Hiruzen entered. He took his seat and activated the Privacy Seals.
"What is it now, Naruko?" he said annoyed.
"I have information about the movements of one Sannin no Orochimaru."
Instantly the old man grew cold and listened.
"Orochimaru has already infiltrated our walls, his plan is to kill you and destroy the Leaf Village. During the chaos he will flee with one Uchiha Sasuke. The target has the support of two Shinobi Villages. Otogakure, being the targets own and Sunagakure, whom accepted the alliance due to cuts in their budget. The target has already eliminated the Genin team from Kusagakure and is now posing as Sabuko no Rasa, Yondaime Kazekage no Sunagakure no Sato. His plan is to attack during the second fight of the final exams, using the confusion of the moment."
"How do you know this, Naruko? And why are these three Suna Nin with you?"
"Let me introduce Sabuko no Kankuro, Sabuko no Temari and Sabuko no Gaara, Jinchuuriki no Ichibi. Gaara and I share bonds closer and stronger than that of blood, we share the bonds of pain. She can testify to everything I just said."
Gaara nodded. Sarutobi looked at the girl and sighed.
"What do you think we should do?"
"I think that Suna should be warned. I will talk with my tribe and have them take care of any and all Oto Nin. Also I want the exams to continue, but knowing Hatake-san, the Uchiha will be late. Be sure to not give him special treatment. If he is late, he loses by default on grounds of automatic surrender. Also I hear that Kumo will be attending the finals."
"Yes, they will. I will follow the plan you laid out. Gaara-san, do you think you can convince your people of the betrayal?"
"Yes, Baki will listen. He is in charge of our people during the invasion."
"Good. Naruko you are hereby given an SS-rank mission. Create a battle plan for the invasion, I will play as if this meeting has never happened. You may leave now."
The four left and went back to Naruko's home.
"Alright, this is what we'll do," she said once she was back in the kitchen.
"First we need to make sure Suna won't be attacking."
They were disrupted by a voice from outside.
"Whoever lives here, open up! I want to have a talk with my students."
Naruko sent a clone and waited for the stranger to come into the kitchen.
"What in the name of Kami are you three doing? I want you back in the hotel, immediately! I apologize on behalf of my three students for any and all inconveniences that may have occurred. I strictly told them to stay in the hotel and not to go wander the streets, especially at this time of night," the man apologized.
"It is quite alright. It is actually good that you are here, Baki-san. Please have a seat."
Baki tensed. Whoever this girl was, she knew his name. And he knew he had never talked to her.
"Let me introduce myself, I am Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko, and I wish to discuss a few things with you."
Namikaze, that name struck a cord and Baki tensed even more. What had Gaara gotten them into this time?
"Relax, I am no threat. I wish to discuss the plans you have for the final rounds next week."
Their cover was blown, Baki had already activated his Kaze no Yaiba and was rushing to the girl, only to be stopped by the girls own Kaze no Yaiba.
"I said I am no threat, the reason I want to discuss is that your leader is dead, as Gaara-chan can testify. Now, please, take your seat, or I will forcibly put you there."
Baki returned to his seat and looked at Gaara, who nodded.
"Now, I know of your pact with Orochimaru and I know he is planning an invasion. I also know that your leader is dead and is being played by him. I want you to kill all of the Oto Nin outside of the walls. I will provide with forces who will take care of one half of the wall while your forces take care of the other side. Be sure to be as quiet as you can. After that is done, I want you to play along with the snakes plan until you have a chance to aid Konoha's forces to take out the Oto forces. Will you be able to do this?"
"Yes, but what will Suna gain from this? After all, Orochimaru paid for this rather generously."
"Multiple things actually. One, I can give you back your leader. Two, I can assassinate your daimyo without repercussion and put in someone of your choosing, granting your village back its funds. Three, stronger ties with the Leaf. And four, you get to keep your lives."
Baki tensed at the last one.
"Don't get cocky girl. You may be a Namikaze, but you can't wipe out all of us."
"It won't just be me. I am the Shinku Hantoresu no Konoha. I am an S class threat, now imagine an army of thousands of me. I could wipe you of the map within a single night."
Baki gasped. He had witnessed the Shinku Hantoresu personally and knew of the devastation she could cause with one jutsu alone. Having her multiply to such a number could truly wipe out any village.
"Alright, but what is the cost. Bringing the dead back to life has to come with some sort of sacrifice."
"Normally, I have to kill the person, who killed the one I want to resurrect. There are exceptions and loopholes that enable me to do it without that. Orochimaru is one of the Sannin, and an S class criminal who has evaded and destroyed all those whom have come after him. I am not naïve, I know I might not be able to reach him in time or even kill him, so the sacrifice has to be a different one. The sacrifice will be the fallen Oto Nin. That would be the solution to that. What I gain from this is your Genin team. I know of Gaara's status, and I know how her father treated her. I will adopt her into my clan, where she will be treated as an equal."
"You can't do this. Gaara is Suna's…"
He stopped because of the sudden increase in KI.
"If you say she is a weapon, then I will kill you. She may be a Jinchuuriki, but she still is a human, and should be treated as such. Plus, I will have given you back your leader, therefore you will be in debt to me. And in order to be even, I demand Gaara and her siblings, if they wish so, is given her freedom."
Baki sighed, he knew he could not go against that logic. And if even Gaara said the girl was right, he was bound to believe her. He just knew he was going to regret this afterwards.
"Fine, but I wish to have our leader in front of me and you to discuss this with him as well."
"Then we are at an agreement."
She led them to the door and then went straight to the tribe, as soon as they were outside.
In the camp she went straight to the Holy Mother.
"Naruko-hime, you seem troubled, what is the matter my dear?"
"Konoha will be invaded, by the Man of the White Snakes."
The Holy Mother tensed. That man was a long standing enemy of the tribe. He had tried to abduct, kill, experiment and rape many of the tribe's members.
"How can we help?"
"I need the tribe to kill any and all ninja from Otogakure and have them piled up at one location. After that is done the warriors have to collect the fallen bodies of the enemy on the other side of the village and pile them as well. I need the bodies to be guarded by the warriors, they are needed later on. The warriors have to kill all ninja on the East side, from North to South. Suna will do the same on the West side."
"I will relay this information to the tribe, when and how shall we act."
"In about a week when the finals start and as silently as possible."
"Very well, Naruko-hime, it shall be done."
Naruko nodded and left. She still had more to do. She returned to the mansion and saw Nagai Ha waiting.
"So, what has you so active?"
"Orochimaru is planning to invade us and kill the old man. I have already made arrangements with Suna and the tribe. All that is left is the clan, ANBU and the old man. Please get the clan up and have them come down."
Nagai Ha bowed and in five minutes the clan was seated.
"Naruko-sama, Nagai Ha said it was important, what's wrong?" Haku asked.
"Orochimaru will be invading Konoha during the finals. He wants to destroy us and kill the old man. I am sure you had plans to go to the arena and I do not want you to abandon those plans. I am however setting up a plan as soon as it happens. Ameyuri, you being pregnant, are the weakest member of the clan at this point, that is why I want you to be protected at all times. I know you can fight, but I am responsible for you, and I do not want to have to worry about you. That is why I will have you watched by Zabuza, Haku and Gozu. You three are responsible for her. As soon as the invasion starts, I want you to bring her back to the compound. They will most likely try and send you to the shelters, but this estate is the securest place in the village. Meizu, you will be at the gate at all times, as soon as they are inside I want you to lock the estate. Gozu you will be in the mansion with her as last line of defense. Activate the Siege Seals and be on your guard."
"Meizu, Haku, I want you to open the gates for any and all Konoha residence. Have them stay in the yard, if they cause problems, throw them back out on the streets. Zabuza, as soon as she is safe you come back to me and back me up. You are allowed to kill any and all Oto Nin, if you encounter Nin from Suna, knock them out. Is everything understood?"
The clan nodded and went back to sleep. Naruko went straight to ANBU HQ after that. In HQ she met up with her captain and had him call all other captains and commanders. Minutes later they were all assembled and were looking at the girl. Naruko was tired, but she prized herself for her professionalism in all of her missions, so she forced herself awake.
"Why have you called us here Kitsune?" Washi asked.
"I have asked you to come here on behalf of an SS class mission given to me by Hokage-sama. I am to devise a battle plan for the Invasion of Konoha by Oto. Oto will think they have the support of Suna, but Suna is on our side. I do not know the specific time and place of the attack, but I know it will be during the finals of the Chunin Exams in one week. You are to eliminate any and all Ninja hailing from the Sound, but only take incapacitating non-lethal measures against the Sand. The Sand will play along and will strike the Sound as soon as they get a chance without raising suspicion. I have already taken care of the outer walls, which will be done by Suna and the Hanyou of the Uzumaki Clan. While that is happening, Orochimaru will be attacking Hokage-sama. He will most likely create a barrier of sorts, but nothing I cannot get through. I want a squad of Black Ops in hiding near the Kage Booth, also I want ANBU Black Ops all around the arena. Are there any questions?"
"Yes, what are we to do with the captives?" Morino Ibiki said.
"If they are from the Sand put them in the holding cells to make it as real as possible. Those from the Sound are to be put into the interrogation block. Have the recruits play with them, but I want to have two for myself."
"And why would you want to do that?"
"Well I am thinking on transferring to the T&I unit for work outside of my FRU responsibilities and to show you my abilities in that area, should get me a job. That is what one is for, the other, well I want to show recruits, just how to do it right."
"That is if you impress me. Very well, I will do as you ask and arrange my subordinates accordingly."
"Any other questions? Good let me continue."
"Basic procedure during invasions is to bring the civilians to the safe houses, this is normally done by Chunin and Genin. I want a few units doing covert patrols guarding those escorts and also to do guerilla attacks on enemy patrols. I want multiple units inside and around the vicinity of the hospital to protect the injured and staff. Take injured civilians there. If you find injured shinobi take them to the Namikaze estate. I have a medic of the Uzumaki stationed there. The rest of you will be divided in half. One half will be doing active Search and Destroy of any and all Oto forces while the other half will act according to standard protocol during these situations. Does anyone want to add something?"
No one said a word, they were too shocked. This girl had come up with a solid plan and had thought of just about everything. Stations, protocols, procedures, you name it, it was there. They all agreed to the plan and left. Naruko wrote down all that had been planned and headed back to the Hokage. The old man was not happy to be woken up again in the same night,, but when he read over the plan he would be lying if he said he wasn't impressed. He took the scroll and went to bed.
The rest of the week was spent training and preparing. Then it was finally time. Naruko and those that would come with her from her clan left and went to the arena. Naruko stood in the center while her clan went to the seats. She and all of the contestants stood and were ready to go. While they waited Naruko remembered the night she saved Hayate.
Flashback
Naruko had sent a clone to the end of the dust cloud. What the clone found was a seriously injured Kinuta Dosu. He was unconscious and bleeding heavily. She bandaged his wounds and took him to the tribe. When he woke up he couldn't move and he didn't know where he was.
"Where am I?" he said.
"Safe, breathing and alive, though the latter can change quickly, if you don't tell me, what I want to know."
Dosu looked around and saw a girl standing in front of him. He tried moving again but failed. He was in a dangerous situation and he knew.
"What is it that you want to know?"
"Well, how about, if you are willing to abandon your leader, Orochimaru, after all, he clearly abandoned you?"
"How do you know that name?"
"I am ANBU boy, I know things you couldn't even dream of. Now, here is what's going to happen. I saved your life and I am offering you and your team a safe haven from that pedophile, you call a Kage. He has tossed you aside and will kill you. So do you accept my offer?"
"How do you know all of this?"
"I overheard a spy named Yakushi Kabuto talking with the Suna Jonin Baki about what you were doing. It seems Orochimaru is going to use you and your team as sacrifices for one of his Kinjutsu. I am offering you protection and safety. I will not ask again, do you accept this offer?"
Dosu was speechless. He was an enemy. He was fully accepting to die in enemy hands, but he did not expect someone to offer help and safety. He knew Orochimaru was using them, but he had to face it. He was willing to take life over being guinea pig for an experiment.
"But the freedom you offer, comes with a price, am I correct?"
"You are, as exchange for a new life I will adopt you into my clan. And as adopted member, you will be labeled as a member by an Adoption Seal. On top of that I expect absolute loyalty."
"I accept. I hope you can convince my teammates, they are in room three hundred twelve. In the hotel given to foreign candidates.
"I will get them, you will convince them, here. And a fair bit of advice, provoke one person here and you will come to know horrors worse than Orochimaru's experiments."
Dosu gulped and the clone headed off. Five minutes later it had found the two Genin and put Incapacitation Seals on them. They could still talk, but not move. In a flash of speed it had brought them to the tribe and dispelled, the tribe would take care of them.
Flashback end
Naruko listened to the speech of the Hokage and checked the crowd. She saw the ANBU and the important officials. In the Kage Booth were Orochimaru, disguised as the Kazekage, with two guards. The Raikage with two guards. And the Hokage with two guards. She saw the nervousness in the Kazekage.
"Now let the first match begin."
Neji and Naruko stayed in the arena while the others went into the competitor's booth. Neji looked at her.
"Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko, also known Shulmah. You graduated Kunoichi and Rookie of the year. You have shown to be capable in the field as a shinobi. You are member of the FRU and self-proclaimed Mistress of Pranks. Your academy scores are spotless, even though you did not grow up inside of the village. But in all honesty, you are a failure and doomed to lose today. Fate has been kind to you until it gave you me as your opponent. Face the facts, you cannot beat me. I can see your every move."
"So you know a bit about my life, congratulations. But I did some research as well. Hyuuga Neji you are the son of the twin brother of the Hyuuga clan head. You are member of a cadet side branch of the clan. You graduated the academy as last year's Rookie of the Year. You have the powers of the Byakugan and are one of the most prestigious to use it. You also have an exemplary Genin record. And have an irrational hate for the main branch of your clan, which you have shown one month ago, by trying to kill the heiress, your cousin. As you can see, I can play mind games too. Now let me tell you, fate is nothing other, than an escape. Our future is not put in stone, it flows and changes with time."
Naruko created forty Shadow Clones. They ran up the wall with their bows drawn. They all aimed at the Hyuuga and waited. Naruko threw a few kunai and saw he could easily deflect them. She created a few more clones and had them engage in Taijutsu.
'Judging by the way he countered and moved, he has a three hundred and sixty degree field of sight. His reflexes are high as well. But he also only engaging in Taijutsu. So if I swarm him with a few clones and have some other do some Ninjutsu, he should have to dodge.
She created ten clones and had them form two circles. The inner circle engaged in Taijutsu while the others prepared a jutsu.
"Futon: Daitoppa!"
The jutsu shot true, destroying the surviving clones. Neji saw the attack and started to rotate.
"I see… He discharges chakra from all tenketsu of his body and then rotates. With the rotation and the discharge of chakra, he creates a dome of chakra. An absolute barrier that deflects the attack. Interesting… I wonder if this will work."
All the while Neji had slowly inched closer.
"You are in range. This fight is now over.

When he was finished Naruko was sent flying through the air. She landed and was in pain. She tried to mold chakra, but it was blocked.
"I have now struck all sixty four of your chakra points. Must be antagonizing knowing that all that hard work was for nothing. You're lucky to still be breathing."
Naruko was lying on her back, laughing.
"What's so funny?"
"To think that you think I am useless without my chakra. I was trained without chakra before coming to the village."
Naruko got up and dusted herself of. She tried molding chakra but failed.
"Well since you took away my chakra, let me give it back to myself."
Naruko concentrated and soon she was engulfed in an orange aura. Everyone was shocked, the Hyuuga even more, as on by one, her tenketsu opened up once again. Neji couldn't believe. Naruko put her hand in the air and formed a fist. Instantly she jumped back. Neji sensed an attack and started rotating again. However some arrows did make it through his dome and struck him at the arms.
"Hanta no Geijutsu: Shi no Sen Doriru Kako Ya!"
When the hail of arrows finally subsided Neji was sporting a few cuts, much to his disbelief.
"Hanta no Geijutsu: Shi no Sen Doriru Kako Ya. It's one of my techniques I use in conjunction with my bow. Those arrows will track you wherever you go and will drill into anything up to two feet. I never miss with my bow, as you can see on yourself. I am impressed though. You are the first to survive that technique. I had a hail of forty thousand arrows shoot towards you. And only four of them made it through that dome of chakra. So tell me, why all the hate for the main branch?"
"If you want to know, when I was four years old, the war with Kumo was finally over. Everyone in the village was there to greet our old enemies. Every Genin and Jonin. Except one clan. The Hyuuga Clan. That day the heiress turned three and I was branded a slave, by my own uncle."
He untied his Hitai-ate and showed her his mark.
"This mark is a threat to all those who bear it. We of the Side Branch live in constant fear of having our brains turned to mush by the main branch. It is a symbol of our destiny, to serve the main branch of the Hyuuga clan. There is only one destiny we share all together, and that destiny is death. You do not know what it's like to bear a mark that sets you apart from others?"
"My… And here I thought you logic was flawless. Be honest with me, back in the preliminaries, you tried to defy your destiny, didn't you? You say you are destined to serve the main branch, but in the prelims you tried to kill Hinata. In all honesty, you do not believe in fate either. You just use it as an excuse. Oh… And you're not the only one who was ostracized, but at least you had food, a home, and a family. I had to live on the street, feed myself with garbage, no one, who waited for me. Neji, it is time you understand that there are people, who have lived far worse lives… But I am growing bored, let's end this."
She signaled for another wave of arrows and got ready. She released her seals. As soon as the hail stopped, she charged and knocked the Hyuuga out with a firm right elbow to his left temple. Effectively knocking him sideways into a wall, leaving a firm imprint. He fell to the ground completely out cold. The proctor called the match and the crowd started booing. Naruko ignored it and walked up to the competitor's box.
"The next fight is between Sabuko no Gaara and Uchiha Sasuke. Please come down to the arena."
Gaara walked down to the arena and waited. A ninja appeared and the proctor nodded.
"As Uchiha Sasuke is not here, the contestant surrenders by default. The next match is Sabuko no Temari vs Nara Shikamaru."
The crowd couldn't believe it. They started to yell and shout. Temari jumped down to the arena with her fan. Shikamaru was just leaning on the banister.
"What a drag."
"Come on, Shikamaru-san, or do I have to throw you down."
"No, I'm walking."
He hurried down the stairs.
Sabuko no Temari vs Nara Shikamaru

"The next fight is between Aburame Shino and Sabuko no Kankuro."
They walked down.
"Hajame."
Kankuro took out his puppet and sent it straight to the Aburame. Shino dodged and dodged. He was releasing his Kikaichu. He sent them towards the Sand ninja. His beetles encased him. It did not turn out good. Kankuro was relieved of most of his chakra and had to surrender. Just then a swivel of leaves and in the arena appeared Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Sasuke.
"Hi, are we late?"
"Yes you are. The Uchiha has been disqualified."
"What but I am an Elite, you can't disqualify me."
"On the contrary, we just did. Now leave."
Sasuke fumed, but left.
"The next fight will be Hanyou no Mara vs Hanyou no Nagai Ha. Please come down."
The two jumped down and landed. They got into their stances. And dashed, just before the first punch the booth was covered in smoke.
"It's begun. Shino, Shikamaru come with me. Gaara, Temari, Kankuro go to my house and wait there. Shikamaru coordinate the civilians Shino cover him."
She ran straight to the barrier that was now keeping them out.
"Don't go any closer, touch it and you die," one ANBU said.
"Don't worry, I got this. Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Fushoku-sei Daeki"
Out of the smoke a black fox with green stripes on his head. He looked at his summoner.
"Ahh… Naru-chan what can I do for you."
"Deaki-kun, I have a slight problem at hand. And only you can help me. You see the barrier here. I need to get inside to help Ji-ji. But it is supposedly indestructible. I know you can help me. After all, you said you can get through everything, right?"
"Of course. Please stand back, my beautiful sunset."
Naruko stepped back and the fox took a breath. He then spewed a green liquid. As soon as it hit the barrier steam appeared. Seconds later the barrier had a gaping hole that slowly extended.
"Thank you Daeki-kun. We'll have that dinner some time, okay?"
"Will do, have fun."
Naruko jumped in and was followed by the squad of ANBU.
"You alright, Hokage-sama?" she asked.
"Yes, thanks to you, that is."
"Raikage-sama, it is an honor to meet you."
"Likewise girl."
"Now, Orochimaru. You have to answer for a few things. Mainly, I want to know where and how you got your hands on Uzumaki Seal designs. Those are the sacred treasures of my clan. Secondly, don't you ever try and steal Uzumaki seals again. Your three Genin were a pain to scrape from the walls."
Orochimaru was shocked. He didn't order those three to do anything. But it explained their sudden disappearance.
"My, it sure has been a while hasn't it Naruko."
"Cut the crap. Why don't you pack up and leave."
"I think not. I came here to kill the old man, and that is what I want to do.
Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei
First coffin, second coffin, third coffin."
Out of the earth three coffins appeared. They opened and out stepped the prior three Hokage.
"Well hello, Shodaime-sama, Nidaime-sama… Tou-san."
"Naru-chan, mind explaining why I am here."
"Orochimaru."
"I see, so it would seem we are forced to fight."
"No, you will be put to rest."
Naruko vanished and the three Kage fell to the ground."
"Kuku… that will not work Naruko…"
But the bodies did not reform themselves. Orochimaru stared at the girl and the sword she was holding. She had cut the legs off of the Kage. They were lying on the floor, unable to move.
"I see you are puzzled. Let me explain. I cut them with one of my twin blades. This one is called Horobi. Your jutsu is impure and goes against the will of Shinigami-sama. My blades, are blessed by his will."
She severed the heads of the Kage and walked towards the man. Orochimaru chuckled and regurgitated the Kusanagi.
"So you fancy yourself a Kenjutsu fighter now… Well then prove it."
He charged at her but she was not fighting alone. He had to fend off attacks from the ANBU, Raikage, Hokage and the little girl. He already had to shed skins once. And he also lost both of his arms to those accursed blades of the girl. He struck once more and hit the old man. He knew the man would die and so he fled. His followers carried him away.
"Uzumaki. Stay where you are!" he heard the girl say.
His female follower stopped dead in her tracks, unable to move.
"Tayuya, what are you doing?"
"I can't fucking help it. I'm paralyzed. Help me you fucking bastards!" the woman yelled.
"It doesn't matter. We're leaving."
"You bastard, you fucking bastard. After all I fucking did for you, you're just gonna fucking leave me. I fucking hate you."
"Calm yourself, Uzumaki. I am Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko, clan head of the Uzumaki Clan. You are welcomed into the clan. Please tell me your name."
"It's Tayuya," the woman said through gritted teeth.
"Well Uzumaki Tayuya, I hope you will come back to your family. Zabuza, escort her to the compound, I will come, after I clear business here."
"Hai, Naruko-sama."
Naruko relaxed and turned to her leader. He had a gash near the shoulder and he was bleeding. She examined the wound and had the ANBU take him to the hospital. She created a large army of clones. The clones split up and unsealed their Roman style armor. They went into the village and started patrolling the streets. Ten clones stayed behind.
"Raikage-sama. I will escort you to my estate. You will be in the way of no harm there."
"I can fight girl."
"I know, but right now you are a guest, and as such you will follow the orders of the senior shinobi of the village in your immediate vicinity."
She had unleashed a large amount of KI.
"Alright, but I am not happy."
"You are supposed to be safe, if it costs your good mood that is something I can live with. Your survival is of the utmost importance right now."
She turned to her clones who were in the Roman armor. Naruko did four hand signs and was also in her armor.
"We move in a hexagon formation. Two will add to the rear, the other two will add to the front. Raikage-sama, you are to stay inside of the hexagon at all times."
The Raikage was not happy, but complied. They quickly made their way across town, avoiding the main street and sticking to alley ways. After half an hour they arrived. They were now into the courtyard. Naruko quickly organized the people. It were less shinobi than she had expected. She created another batch of clones who jumped to the roof with their bows drawn. Naruko saw everything was in order and left again, after she had changed her outfit. She raced along the roofs and destroyed any and all Oto Nin she found. After half an hour the all clear sign came. All Suna Nin that were captured were released. Naruko walked to the pile of bodies where all of the Suna Ninja were waiting.
"Alright brat, bring back to us our leader."
"Very well.
Hear Thy servant, oh Lord of Death
she is waiting for Thou
offering a pile of flesh,
to return the life of a Shadow;
Thy servant was asked to help;
And so she asks Thou for support"
A bright light appeared and faded. The Ninja couldn't see him, but they could sense him.
"Why have you summoned me to this plain of existence, young huntress?"
"These people were fooled by a man you are long since awaiting. His name is Orochimaru. He used these people to try and kill the Hokage and summoned the dead. He took away their leader and I offered them to bring him back, in exchange for one of my kind. I know that the usual way is impossible, as I could not defeat the traitor, but these sacrifices are made by the people and are all followers of the man who attacked us."
"I see… So in exchange for the life of their leader, they are going to give you their Jinchuuriki. Are you sure that is all that it is going to take?"
"Perhaps the Yondaime Kazekage will need some convincing. Please allow me to bring back his wife as well."
"It shall be done."
The presence disappeared and the pile of bodies started to burn. Out of the flames stepped two people. Everyone gasped and bowed.
"Lord Kazekage."
"What are you fools doing here, we have a village to destroy."
"No you have not. The invasion failed and I have given you back the life taken from you and I gave you back the wife you lost because of sealing the Ichibi inside of your youngest daughter. You made her an outcast, hated by all, feared by all, even her own siblings."
"How could you, Rasa?" the woman said.
"But now she has family and friends. I know of her pain, and I understand it. In return for giving back the life you lost, I will be taking away the children you abandoned. That is the price you have to pay. Sabuko no Karura, if you wish I will allow them to visit, but they will never be living under that man again. I went through the same pain as Gaara-chan, I will take care of her. Sabuko no Rasa if you wish to have your village prosper, I will help you. I will kill the Daimyo and you can replace him with a person of your choosing. But that is as far as my friendship will go, until you have proven yourself worthy."
"I understand. Please give me the name of the one who can take care and understand our daughter," Karura said.
"Namikaze Uzumaki Naruko. Now I expect to receive a scroll with the details in a few weeks. Now take your people and leave."
Naruko shunshined away and entered her estate. What she found made her blood boil. The Raikage was actively trying to get into her home.
"I suggest you stop what you are doing right now, Raikage-sama. Or I will be forced to remove you from my property, with lethal force if I have to."
"Oh yeah? Listen girl, I am the Raikage. And Kumo is going to take all of your rare jutsu."
Naruko was furious. She had granted them hospitality and safety. She released her true form and blasted the complete estate with KI.
"I am the Kyuubi no Kitsune, I have offered you the safety of my home and now you have the audacity to try and steal my possessions, you better stand down, or I will kill you. And not even the Nibi and the Hachibi, which are sealed within your two guards will help. They are under my command and therefore will not attack."
"Nonsense, B, Yugito, take her out."
The two Kumo Nin moved, but Naruko just held out her hand.
"Halt, you shall not defy me…"
The two froze.
"You dare, send my kin, against me. I have been nothing, but kind to you and your people, yet you treat me with such disrespect. I give you one more chance, stand down and we shall talk. Resist and you shall die."
The Raikage knew when he was outmatched. He let down his guard and sat down. It seemed the girl had calmed down as well, but she still kept her form. Those five tails of hers really unnerved him.
"Now, what is it you want with my jutsu?"
"Well, Kumo is known for its power. We collect jutsu in order to gain the abilities of those techniques."
"Well, if Kumo is that powerful, why did it attack my home with two other villages?"
"We never attacked Konoha with anyone else but ourselves."
"I was not talking about the Leaf, I was talking about the Whirlpool whom your village destroyed along with Mist and Stone."
The Raikage tensed. The words were spoken with hate that did not belong on a person so young.
"But that is in the past. I wish to discuss a few things with you, regarding my kin."
Again A tensed. Jinchuuriki were very valuable tools. He did not want to lose his.
"And what do you want with Kumo's Jinchuuriki?"
"I recommend you do not call them that. We are still human, not weapons. If you judge us by what we hold, we will grow cold towards you. We want acceptance, something that is easier to come by in Kumo than in any other village, however that is only because with each new Kage, my kin dies and is created anew. So that my kin is part of your family. It disgusts me that you see us as lower humans. What I want is for my kin to be free, like we used to be. No one ordering us around. Being respected and left to our own devices, but you humans fear what is more powerful than you, so you seal us away, making us prisoners in our own lands. We were meant to balance the world, but you vermin are repeating the same mistakes again and again. That is why, I want my kin to have their own village, a village where we will not be hated. Without my kin in your hands, you should grow less bold, as you don't have your 'Ultimate Weapons' anymore. I want my kin to live here, with me, in my clan. Under the authority of no one, but myself, as it has been before you came."
The Raikage was shocked. He didn't want to believe the girl, but inside he knew it was true. So the next thing surprised him even more.
"Now, would I be able to convince you to set my kin free by offering you something from my library. I could also create a jutsu or seal for you. I want my kin to be free of hardship and you want to have power to strengthen your village. I could also kill someone for you. I am the best huntress there is, it would be my pleasure to have some new prey."
"If you can guarantee me that the two will be safe in your hands and no harm will come to them, I will let them choose whether they want to stay or return to Kumo. If they stay, I will want regular letters from both of them as well as the permission for them to come visit at any given time they choose. On top of that, I want you to seek out and destroy a group of spies that I have found in my village, however I have no evidence. You being an assassin should have no problems."
"We have an agreement, if you want your evidence, I could torture them and make them confess."
"That would be appreciated. Now then, B, Yugito, do you want to stay here with the girl or do you want to come back to Kumo. Either way, I will still regard you as family."
"I would like to stay here, Tou-sama," the woman said.
"Nibi says that this could be beneficial for me."
"Very well, B, are you staying as well?"
"Yeah bro. Ol' Eight say it's cool."
"Fine. I will send the scroll and request you in a week. But for now, I apologize for my behavior, Uzumaki-san."
"No harm done, and I trust that this meeting never leaves this estate?"
A nodded and left. Naruko deactivated the Siege Seals and sent the rest of the shinobi away.
"Follow me," she said.
"The study, my bedroom, the library and the armory are off limits. Do not go there, unless you wish to experience a very painful death. You will be trialed by the village for three months, the villagers will make your life hell, so Do Not give them the pleasure of you slipping. If you go outside of the estate, have either Meizu, Gozu, Haku, Zabuza or myself accompany you. Also, I will have to mark you with the Adoption Seal of the Uzumaki. This seal will identify you as Uzumaki and will help you out once the trial is over. Be warned, the villagers can be very creative when it comes to antagonizing you, just ignore them. You'll have enough chances to kill them after your trial period. Now I will mark you as Uzumaki."
Naruko quickly applied the seal and crest and then lead them outside and showed them around the village.
A few days later the Uzumaki clan was out for some food. They had just finished eating and were on the way back when Naruko noticed a tear in Tayuya's eyes.
"So Tayuya, you've been awfully silent. What's the matter?"
"Nothing! Leave me alone, bitch."
Before Tayuya could react she was in a chokehold with a kunai hovering in front of her eye.
"I know you have had a hard time. But that is no way to speak to family. I look out for my family, so I do not like doing this. So please, tell me what is wrong, you can trust us."
She had let her go again and they sat down on a bench. She had ordered the rest to go back to the estate. She looked at the girl next to her.
"Now tell me, what's wrong?"
After a few minutes Tayuya looked up to her family head.
"He still has my sister."
Naruko instantly grew cold.
"I see. I will ask Jiraiya-sama to have his spy network look for the base. Do you know which country she is in?"
"Last I heard she was in the north."
"Alright, let's head back and maybe we could get to know each other better over a nice warm bath."
They heard a perverted giggle.
"I suggest you get down here right now, Jiraiya-sama. I trust you heard what has just been said?"
"Yes, I have. I'll put the word out. By the way. Be at the Hokage's office in five minutes."
Naruko nodded and created a Shadow Clone who escorted Tayuya back to the estate. Naruko made her way to the office. She entered and found Nara Shikamaru also standing in front of the desk.
"Shikamaru-san, what a pleasant surprise. How have you been?"
"I have been good, Naruko. But ever since the invasion, it's been such a drag."
"I agree, so what do you think we are here for?"
"Most likely something troublesome. Jiraiya-sama just said to come here. What a pain."
Just then Jiraiya came in.
"Good you are both here. Follow me. Oh and Naruko, be prepared for a lot of yelling."
Naruko instantly grew cold, something that did not escape Shikamaru. They entered the council chambers and the air dropped below freezing. The civilians glared at the girl. Naruko stood as impassively as ever. Jiraiya took his seat and started.
"I have called this meeting to announce the promotions from the Chunin exams."
"That explains Nara-san. But what is that fiend doing here."
Before Jiraiya could answer Naruko stepped in.
"Do you have anything to say to me councilman, if not, then shut up. I am here as ordered. Please continue, Jiraiya-sama."
"As I was saying, I am announcing the promotions, which were evaluated and done by the Hokage. As he is still in hospital, he has made me the barer of his will in this matter. Promoted to Chunin, Nara Shikamaru. Congratulations Shikaku. And promoted to Jonin, Uzumaki Namikaze Naruko."
"This is an outrage. The thing does not deserve such privilege. That vest should go to Uchiha-sama. She shouldn't even be a ninja."
"Silence! She has deserved this promotion more than any other shinobi. She did not panic and immediately took the lead and coordinated the evacuation of the civilians. After which she not only helped the ANBU to get to the Third, but also held her own against the resurrected Hokage and Orochimaru himself. She has done more in this village in her brief time as a Kunoichi than you have in your entire time of being on this council."
"That may be, but right now she is hiding criminals away from the law. Those fiends should be punished. The Ice user should be put into the CRA and the rest should be either delivered for their bounties or executed," Haruno Mebuki said.
"You, will, not, put, your filthy hands, on any, member of my clan."
"You do not have a clan. You are an imposter, demon," a man cried.
He was instantly pressed against the wall.
"Thank you for doing that, now I am allowed to kill you."
She started to increase the pressure on his neck, until she had ripped out his throat. She walked back and waited. Shikamaru quickly regained his composure and started to talk.
"I testify the skills of Namikaze Uzumaki Naruko. I have been under her command at that time and her orders were clear, to the point and rational. She has all of the qualities a Shinobi of that rank should have," Shikamaru said.
"Good, Naruko, I am taking you on a mission. Be at the gate tomorrow at dawn."
"Yes, Jiraiya-sama."
She turned and left after taking her vest. Outside of the tower she got stopped by Shikamaru.
"Hey Naruko, wait up. Man, those were some pretty intense glares back there. Mind if I ask if there is a story behind that?"
"There is…"
Naruko had a faraway look in her eyes.
"Acceptance. That was what drove me in my early life. But after a certain chain of events I became what I am now. Heh… Guess it's just my luck to find people who look up to me, after I changed."
"But why? Why are you like this? It's like you have two personalities at the same time."
"If a person is continually frowned upon and torn down in too many ways to count, that person will change and take on the expectations of those that deal the hardship… If you really want to know, please tell our friends to come to my house for dinner. It is time you know the truth about me."
She left with a Shunshin and went to her house. At the gates she stopped.
"Good afternoon, Naruko-sama. I see you carry a vest, congratulations on your promotion to Chunin."
"Jonin actually. Meizu, Gozu, I am expecting guests this evening, also run by the Ichiraku Ramen Stand and invite them as well."
"Yes ma'am."
Naruko went inside and saw the pregnant form of Ameyuri.
"Naruko-chan. Congratulation on becoming Chunin."
"Jonin. Ameyuri, we are having guests this evening. I want you to prepare a feast with a buffet. Take these clones and prepare."
"Of course."
Naruko went into the garden where she found Killer Bee and Nii Yugito. They saw her coming and waited for her.
"It is time. I trust you both are able to communicate and switch with your partner."
The two nodded.
"Good, I would like to talk with them."
The two nodded again and switched.
"What can we do for you, Daughter of Kurama?"
"I want you to adopt your Jailors as your heirs."
"And why would we do that?"
"Because you have grown attached to them. Because you know it is time to pass on your titles. And because you know that you would survive if you make them your heirs."
"I will do it. Bee is not going to be happy, but you are right, it is time for the title to move on," the Hachibi sighed.
"I will too, my little kitten deserves it after what she has been through."
"I thank you Matabi-sama, Gyuki-sama."
They switched again.
"Thanks. Guess we're now Biju."
"Yes, and we now only need the five others and our family shall be complete."
"Wait, are you trying to get all of the Biju in one place?"
"Yes, I will have us back where we belong, at the top of the food chain. We will build our own village and we shall not be disturbed by the outside world."
"We are with you."
"Good. I hope you will not go against me. I have friends coming over for dinner. People that can be trusted with everything. I plan on revealing what we are, if you wish you can show yourself, but if not, I will not hold it against you."
"If you say they can be trusted, we will do so as well."
"Good, you are dismissed until dinner."
Naruko walked back into the house and looked for Tayuya.
"Uzumaki Tayuya, follow me. We are going to rid you from that accursed seal."
"Hai, Naruko-sama, but is it possible for me to keep my transformation?"
"Of course, I will have a seal ready as soon as we are done. But this seal will not harm your body."
They walked into the same cave where Gaara regained her freedom.
"I will not sugar coat this. It will hurt, a lot. I will take some of your blood, it will cleanse your body from the remnants of the seal."
Naruko cut Tayuya's palm and then began her work. She drew the symbols and then activated them. Tayuya was screaming and cursing like no tomorrow. Naruko knew it hurt, but it had to be done. She couldn't afford Orochimaru's influence on her family. After a few minutes she was done.
"This will hurt the most, bear with me Tayuya-chan."
She poured the blood onto the spot and Tayuya started screaming in agony again. After five minutes it was finally over. As promised, she put a seal on the same spot and filled it with cleansed youki. It would look the same and do the same things, only it would not harm her. Naruko picked the unconscious form of her family member up and carried her to her room.
After she had done that, she was intercepted by Gozu.
"Naruko-sama, there is someone at the gates for you, he says it is urgent."
Naruko nodded and headed to the gate. Outside on the street stood Hyuuga Neji.
"What can I do for you Neji-san?"
"I am here on Hiashi-sama's orders, he said you would know when you heard the message."
"Tell me the message."
"It is time to correct misfortunes of the past by cleansing them in the present."
Naruko grinned.
"Well then, let's not keep him waiting, shall we?"
"Of course, but if you don't mind me asking, what does this mean?"
"For you, two things for your clan, one. For you and your clan, Freedom and Unity. For you on top of that. Family."
Nejis' eyes widened.
"Yes Neji. Today you will be freed and reunited with your father. Go inside and keep an eye on the elders, blink and you will miss it."
Neji did and Naruko snuck into the compound and hid in a tree.
"Today we will punish traitors to the way of the Hyuuga," Hiashi said.
"There are members in this clan, who have undermined my authority and had the cheek to sell their own away to slavery."
As he went on, Naruko had her eyes trained on the clan elders. Like Hiashi had said, they sat behind him on the stage. Naruko growled and prepared to strike. Hiashi was finished with his speech and she struck. Faster than anyone could react, or even blink, her blades sliced through the necks of her targets and she disappeared again. The entire clan was in distress, someone had just killed their elders.
"Please, calm down," Hiashi said.
"The execution has been done. The elders have dishonored our clan and have turned us into a family of slave holders. Thanks to the daughter of my late best friend, we can now all live as a family once again. Please come forth, Namikaze Uzumaki Naruko."
Naruko stepped onto the stage.
"This young woman is responsible for the return of the true Hyuuga way. She has also created a seal to protect out Kekkai Genkai, which will be carried by all of our clan. We have her to thank for it, and therefore I am making her ally of the entire Hyuuga clan."
The clan cheered.
"I thank you, Hiashi-san and I accept the trust you put into me. Know if there is anything the Uzumaki can do for you, we will be there and answer the call."
Naruko bowed and left. She went back to her home and went to her room for some well-deserved rest.
