"Lulu."
"Yes, Lahar?" asked Lulu curiously.
"Would you like to change your name to Lucy? I think that it would be a new start for you, to become my daughter," Lahar told her. "You have light magic in you as well, which you can learn instead of dark magic. I have a cleansing potion here that you can take; it will help you to forget Acnologia and those memories so that it will be easier to learn light magic." He handed her a tall glass cup filled with lemonade. "This isn't the potion, but you should drink something first.
"Thank you...Lahar?"
"You can call me 'Dad' or any variation of 'Father,' if you'd like. Whatever you feel comfortable with."
"Thank you, Daddy!" the child cried, and finished her lemonade before she swallowed the potion. Immediately, she fell asleep. "Acno-Acnologia," she whispered, tears gathering on her lashes.
As Lahar watched, a black mist rose out of her open mouth and flew out the window. Lulu wept tears in her sleep, each tear black as night, dripping from her eyes to the ground, where it dissolved.
Time Skip: 1 day
"Training time," Lucy told herself, stretching. "Daddy! Wake up!"
Lahar groaned and slowly got up. He tidied his hair and put on his glasses. Then, he smiled at Lucy. After quickly eating, he brought her to a forest.
"Celesta!" he called. A gleaming, white-gold dragon appeared out of nowhere. Chuckling, she tilted her head at him in acknowledgement. "This is your new student, Lucy. She is my daughter, and has forced her dark magic away."
"She is quite young," stated Celesta. She sniffed Lucy for a while. "The child has light magic in her as well. She is worthy."
"Lucy Aria is my name," Layla told her, showing her dimples in her smile.
"Lucy, you will become my student. Is that alright?" asked Celesta.
Cutely, Lucy nodded. "Yay!" she shouted.
Time Skip: Two years
"Celesta!" Lucy shouted, laughing. She ran towards a tree and placed her hand on it. The tree allowed her to see its memories of Celesta flying away when Lucy was sleeping and becoming a star. She sniffed, "Thank you, tree. Thank you, Celesta. I will remember your training." Lucy grabbed the keys and star necklace Celesta had left behind and hurried back home from the forest. "Daddy!" she shouted, running to Lahar. "Celesta left and became a star!"
"Ah," her father nodded. "Then she must have finished everything she wanted to teach you. You'll have to go to a guild to grow further into your power. I think the best guild would be Fairy Tail, since you are already powerful. When the time is right, I will bring you into the Council, and you may become my assistant. Go now, though," her father hugged her briefly before letting her go.
Lucy nodded. She quickly formed a ball of magic in her hands and squeezed, vanishing quickly.
The seven-year old girl, short golden hair flying about her face, appeared in Magnolia, in front of the guild.
"Hmm…doesn't look like much. But Daddy always told me that looks can be deceiving…" she muttered to herself. "I wonder…did I accidentally time travel again? Whatever."
With a happy nod, she strode through the door. There wasn't much to it. A barmaid was mopping down the table, a skinny man was painting pictures, and a fat man was stuffing himself.
"Can I help you?" asked the barmaid.
"Can I join Fairy Tail? I'm Lucy!" she grinned.
"Of course you can, sweetie. I'm Kinana, but are you sure you want to join? Not that it's bad or anything, but Fairy Tail isn't very popular now. Are you a mage?"
"Yes to both!" she grinned widely. "Say, I think I may have accidentally traveled to the future…last time I checked it was X777…what's the date?"
"X797."
"Oh. Twenty years. Cool. So, anyways, can I join?" she cheerfully asked.
"Um…sure, sweetheart," Kinana replied. "Where do you want your stamp?"
"Hm…pale gold on my right bicep. Here," she pulled her arm out of her sleeve and gestured to the spot right below her shoulder. Kinana complied; the end result reminded Lucy greatly of her dragon. "Thanks!"
"Macao!" called Kinana. A purple-haired man stood up from the second-floor. "A new girl just joined!"
"Here? Well then, let's see her," he sighed.
"Hi! I'm Lucy!" she grinned.
"Oh…hello, Lucy. Welcome to Fairy Tail. Everyone, listen up!" he yelled. Everyone turned towards him. "We have a new guild member. What's your magic, Lucy?"
"I'm a Dragon Slayer!" she grinned widely. At this everyone smiled but turned sad. "What's wrong?"
"We used to have three Dragon Slayers here. But they disappeared six years ago, and we're still waiting for them," Macao explained.
"Three? What elements were they?"
"Well, Wendy was a few years older than you, she was the Sky Dragon Slayer. Gajeel and Natsu were eighteen, Gajeel was a Metal Dragon Slayer, and Natsu was a Fire Dragon Slayer."
"That's great! What—"
The guild doors slammed open to reveal five, ugly men. Immediately, Kinana gasped and swept Lucy behind her, whispering a warning.
"Macao! Where's our money?" demanded the leader.
"Please, just give us some time. We—"
"You owe us big time, bud! Pay up by tomorrow, or else!" the scowling leader yelled before stomping off.
"Who was that?"
Lucy was first to break the silence, her cheerful mood gone as she narrowed her eyes at the door. Her tone was colder than a seven-year-old should have, her mature side finally showing itself with a hint of darkness.
"Twilight Ogre. They demand money every month, but we never have enough money."
"Twilight Ogre!" she scoffed at Kinana's answer. "They're going to pay for bullying around another guild!"
With that, the scowling child stalked outside and stopped at the guild entrance. The guild followed her cautiously, unsure of what this child could do.
She formed a ball of light in her hand and whispered something into it. Then she flicked it off. Sighing, she turned around and stalked back inside.
"Um…Lucy? What was that?" asked Kinana curiously.
"Oh, nothing. Just a message to the Head Captain of the Custody Enforcement Unit," the girl replied offhandedly, using words that confused the guild for a moment.
Then they processed her words and yelled: "WHAT?!"
"Ow! Hey, Dragon Slayer here?" she hinted, covering her ears. "Yes, the Head Captain of the Custody Enforcement Unit. Got a problem? He'll be here right about…now."
A flash of light appeared at the guild entrance.
"Lucy? Lucy!" called a voice.
"Hi, Daddy!" a cheerful child's voice called back as Lucy ran up to Lahar's glowing image.
"Lucy, what's wrong? Why are you so small?" the still-young man frowned down at her. "And why are you here?"
"Oh, well, I might have accidentally time-traveled twenty years into the future and joined the guild right now and the other guild in Magnolia is bullying my guild and I really want to go and beat them up," she quickly responded. "Please~?" she added.
"Lucy, you know that's against the law."
"But they were doing it first," she returned.
"True," Lahar agreed, pondering it for a few moments. "How about this? I send a lower squad there to give them a warning, and if they don't listen, then you get to go to their guild without getting in trouble. Alright?"
"Great! Okay, bye, Daddy!"
"Goodbye, Lucy," sighed Lahar with a wry smile before the apparition vanished.
Lucy turned around to see the guild staring at her.
"What?" she asked, apparently oblivious.
"How'd you—"
"Lahar's your DAD?!"
And a whole barrage of questions was launched at her.
"Well, yeah. He found me in the woods three years ago or so and adopted me, and he's been helping me train too. But he said he wanted to let me see more of the world, so he suggested to me to join Fairy Tail and then I accidentally traveled through time again. I'll leave soon, though; my magic can't keep me here for long," Lucy explained.
I don't own Fairy Tail! Please review!
