"Hey, does Law seem a bit down lately?" Bepo asked, worried about his captain who seemed to talk less lately and do nothing but stare into space.

The other crew members looked at Bepo with raised eyebrows and then looked closely at Law who was staring at the sky with a bored expression. It definitely was odd to have him just sitting there and not looking at something medical to work on or some kind of book.

"Maybe it's because he's not around the straw hats anymore." Shachi chuckled, remembering his brief encounters with Straw hat Luffy. The kid was strong; stronger than any human should be. But he also remembers him being very energetic to the point of annoyance sometimes. "I would be tired as hell after being with them for awhile too."

"That or he misses….what was her name?" Penguin said, looking up at them and putting a finger to his head, trying to remember what that woman's name was that Law seemed to be infatuated with now. "Y'know. Dark black hair, bright blue eyes, older."

Bepo opened his mouth and smiled. "Nico Robin!" He said loudly, feeling proud that he figured it out before anyone else did. He felt a cold chill go down his spine as a dark shadow slithered behind him. A cold sweat ran down his fur as he turned around slowly to face a very suspicious and menacing Law who was looking at all of them as if he read everything on their faces.

"What exactly are you guys planning with Nico Robin in it?" He asked in a grumble.

"We weren't planning anything!" Penguin said, holding his hands up in a quick surrender to their captain.

"We were trying to figure out who was one of straw hats crew mates!" Bepo said with a smile, waving off Law's worry like it needn't be there. "Now, I feel in the mood for a nap!" Bepo said, knowing Law would be happier after a nap under the fresh sky.

Before Law even had time to agree or disagree with what Bepo was offering, or even delve more into what the guys were talking about including Robin, Bepo ushered him on towards the back of the deck in a nice shaded spot. Bepo plopped down onto the deck and laid on his back, patting the deck for Law to lay back and relax too. Law finally gave up and sighed, laying back on Bepo with his head on his stomach and letting the fresh wind run over him.

"That was a close call." Shachi whispered to the others, feeling all their worry suddenly escape them with their sighs.

"He sure is scary protective now when it comes to her." Jean said with a grumble of his own.

Penguin stared at the deck for some time before an idea popped into his head. He snapped his fingers and looked at Shachi with a smile cracking his face in two. "What if we brought her to him?"

"You want to try and kidnap Nico Robin? Are you insane?" Shachi asked, smacking himself in the forehead. How could Penguin even think that this was a good idea? They were all likely to get killed faster than they could even grab a hold of her!

"I heard she's actually really nice! We can just ask her to come visit for awhile." Penguin reasoned, hoping they'd see his way of doing things and not jump to crazy solutions. "Would you rather see him like he is now, or see a different side of him with Robin around?"

The question seriously hit all of them hard. It was true, Law had become very moody and scary since he left the straw hat crew and since then he's done nothing but talk kindly about Robin and how she was with him. It was like a complete 180 between the moody him and the caring one for Robin. It was like dangling candy in front of a child; they weren't able to resist. All of them nodded quickly, devising the plan quickly for how they were going to do it all, and who was going to be the ones to do it.

"Obviously I have to go since I came up with the plan." Penguin said, raising his hand to get their attention. "I just need one other person."

"I'll go," Shachi said with a smile, offering to go with his friend and get away from the ship for awhile.

"Good, that means the rest of you get to stay here and try to keep Law happy." Penguin said, clapping his hands together.

At first they were smiling because they didn't have to go on the mission and go through the trouble of trying to get Nico Robin to come with them, but now dread drowned them at the very thought of trying to keep this a secret AND keep Law from killing everyone on the ship in one of his moody bursts of rage and pessimism.

"Hungry," Luffy whined, his tongue lolling out of his mouth as he thought of some delicious meat.

"Cook-san should have the food done soon," Robin reassured him, sprouting her wings across the ship and throwing a piece of chocolate into his mouth.

"Gosh Luffy, you're such a glutton." Nami groaned, pushing her sunglasses down ever so slightly to look at him with a sigh.

"You shouldn't give him those sweets. It'll just give him more energy." Zoro yawned, watching Luffy smile from ear to ear in happiness that he got some sweets.

"Oi!"

Everyone on the ship looked around thinking it was one another, but when no one seemed to know who it was and no one was answering it was pretty obvious that it wasn't any of them. Luffy looked over the side of the ship and laughed, his smile growing even larger.

"Oi! Long time no see!" Luffy shouted, waving down at the ocean on the side of the ship.

Quickly Shachi and Penguin climbed aboard the ship, giving a thankful nod to Luffy who was eagerly looking around the side of the ship where their small boat was. He scrunched his eyebrows together and puckered his lips, turning his face into a pout in disagreement.

"Where's Tra-guy?" Luffy mumbled as he crossed his arms.

"Law is busy with other things right now." Penguin said quickly, rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh? Law-san's crewmates?" Robin asked, looking at the outfits they were wearing and remembering the description of said people that she heard of.

"That's her!" Shachi whispered and elbowed Penguin in the side.

Robin heard the frantic whisper and raised an eyebrow at them. She continued down the stairs to the main deck and placed a hand lazily on her hip as she waited for their obvious nervousness went down. She couldn't figure out why they were here, and of all people wanted her as the main focus compared to Luffy. She gave a small smile, urging them on to do what they needed to calm themselves and tell her what this was all about.

"Why the unexpected visit?" She asked, making them both go stock still.

Finally Penguin cleared his throat and looked at Robin with a smile. "Actually we are here for you."

"Me?" Robin asked, feigning surprise to help relieve them of their nervousness a bit.

"Yes…that is….you see….Law, he…" Shachi fumbled trying to think of a lie now to get her to go with them without it seeming too obvious as to what their intentions were.

"Law found one of those stone things! Y'know!" Penguin blurted, rolling his hand, hoping Robin will fill in blanks herself and help him a bit. "With the weird writing that no one can read?"

"Poneglyph's?" Robin asked, eyes becoming wider in interest now.

"Yes! Law said you knew how to read them so we came to get you!" Shachi continued on, nodding his head eagerly and joyfully that she was coming into their little lie.

She put a hand to her chin, wondering if she should really go with them or not. She couldn't just leave everyone after all, but she really wanted to see that stone and read what it has on it. She had to learn about the Void Century. Zoro on the other hand, who was sitting nearby, wasn't buying their lie and glared at them from afar. He wasn't going to let her go with them; and he was pretty sure the other's wouldn't either.

"You should go!"

Zoro fell over with a thud and a new stress mark on his head at Nami's quick suggestion to Robin. He couldn't believe that stupid navigator would tell Robin to go! They didn't even know these guys! He sighed in irritation and looked at the men once more, seeing the sweat that was dripping down their necks and telling him instantly they were guilty already.

"Of course you'll have to let Zoro go also." Nami pitched in, giving Zoro a knowing smile as she glanced at him from the side. "We can't just let you take one of our crew members. She'll have Zoro to help in case of danger."

Penguin and Shachi looked at one another briefly before glancing at Zoro and seeing the glare that could kill if they weren't divided by Nami. They quickly nodded their heads like bobble head dolls, not daring to go against Zoro; or the rest of the StrawHat crew honestly.

"Yeah, that seems okay." Penguin agreed, hitting Shachi in the side with his elbow.

They spent the day on the StrawHat ship, taking time to relax and eat so they weren't hungry by the time they left that night. Plus it gave Robin and Zoro time to pack a little bit for their short journey. Robin packed papers and pens ready to copy down whatever was on the stone that Law found. Her excitement was hardly contained as the smile on her face hadn't left since they told her. But her smile grew even bigger when she thought of seeing Law again. She had a soft spot for Law. He was mature and knew about painful pasts, she could see it in his eyes. There was this connection between him and her that she couldn't quite describe.

Zoro wanted to clear that dopey smile off of Robin's face. He didn't want to hurt her or make her feel sad in anyway, but he didn't want her to smile like that while thinking of Law and where they were going. He wanted her to look at him that way, but it seemed she didn't see him as he saw her.

"Thank God you're back!" Jean said as he spotted his crewmates back on their submarine ship.

"And where the hell have you two been?" Law asked, walking up behind Jean with a nasty scowl across his face. He didn't care if his crew wanted to go places, but he hated being lied to and that was exactly what they had been doing this whole time.

"Well, you see…" Penguin began, trying to keep his smile on his face to calm Law down.

"Calm down," Bepo urged, hoping his captain wouldn't lose his temper and go dark.

"Explain," Law said under his voice, trying to calm himself down like Bepo said.

"It's good to see you again."

Law froze and looked over Penguin's shoulder, spotting the raven haired woman standing there with a smile on her face and wide sparkling eyes that were looking directly at him. Why was she here? Is that what they were doing? Zoro came up onto the ship right after Robin and Law was sent into an even greater confusion. Why would both of them be here? He looked around quickly, hoping the hyperactive captain of theirs wasn't nearby and about to catapult himself into Law once more.

"It's only us," Robin giggled, reading his mind.

"What are you here for?" He asked, still not getting an answer from them yet.

"Your friends said you found some poneglyphs for me to read." Robin said, tilting her head in confusion. Why would he ask why they were there when he mentioned them in the first place.

"Poneglyphs? What…." He looked directly at Penguin and Shachi who were trying to slink off quickly with Jean, hoping not to get a big case of butt hurt. "Those idiots." He face palmed himself and sighed, unbelieving of how hard headed his crew is.

"I'm guessing that was a lie." Zoro stated harshly, crossing his arms and looking at Law with a raised eyebrow. Well at least he couldn't blame Law for the lie since he seemed just as irritated and confused about.

"Yeah. I don't know what the hell they were thinking." Law sighed again, running his hand down his face and looking at the two pirates who were standing there. The sad, disappointed look came over Robin's eyes, making Law feel a churn in his stomach. "Sorry. Those idiots don't know how to think carefully."

The air was so thick around all of them that it could be cut with a knife. Bepo looked between the Straw Hats and Law, nervous sweat coming over him. He clapped his hands together and put on a smile, grabbing all of their attentions.

"Well, since you came all this way, how about a small party?" He said, hoping that would lighten the mood a bit and make everything better.

"Got Sake?" Zoro asked instantly, a smirk coming onto his face as Bepo nodded his head. "Sounds good to me then!"

The party was just as they said, a small one. It was more like a get together than a party since it was a little food and a lot of drinks with games, talking, and the likes. Everyone's mood seemed to get better as the night went on though and even Law was smiling at some of the things going on, and was definitely smiling at Robin who would start a conversation with him over intellectual topics.

"I think we drank a bit too much." Law chuckled as he stood outside on the deck with his crewmates passed out inside. He put a hand to his head that was slightly spinning and felt the cool breeze hit his flushed cheeks, hot from the booze coursing in his veins.

"What's wrong? Can't hold your liquor?" Robin teased, leaning against the railing next to him with their arms touching. "Ah, the air feels great tonight."

Law glanced over at Robin. He watched her hair glisten from the light of the moon and waves, rolling like the waves themselves. Law's eyebrow twitched as he watched Zoro, wanting to use his Devil Fruit right then to switch him and the swordsman, but he thought of how bad it would be to have his crew ran by him. He clenched his fist before smirking and pointing at Zoro.

"Next time we'll have a match to see who will win the prize!" Law said.

Zoro smiled and let out a loud laugh, nodding and holding up his fist in agreement. "See you then!"
