Hello my angels! I promise I WILL be writing more! My last final is next week and then I get about two-three weeks off for winter break! I love you all and I'm so happy you read my stories and request from me. :D

This was requested by a good friend xMousex or Keke. You are the best! Making requests and helping me on stories! It took awhile to write this one because I kept typing and creating a story and then I didn't think it was good enough so I would delete it and start over! I wanted this to be a great story for you and something you would remember! I hope you like it my dear!

Off to the next story! Love you!

The school was bustling with teenagers everywhere; it was a mad house at every time of the day. If anyone came to look at their school they'd think it was a delinquent kind of school where all the bad kids went to….in a way it kind of was. Every one of the students that resided in this school were a "nuisance" in the law enforcement and politic/law abiding people. They were the trouble makers, from thieving, breaking and entering, destruction of property, or just being too adventurous and hyperactive. Anything that was away from their normal in their town was considered a "nuisance".

"Bonzai!"

A dark haired boy shot through the hair, whipping past the heads of half the students. An orange haired girl reached her arm up with her heavy textbook and held steady as the boy crashed right into the hard cover. She sighed and brought her book back into her arms, glancing back at him momentarily as he rubbed his face and sat on the floor Indian style.

"Honestly Luffy, can't you just walk through the hallways normally?" She asked him, giving a small shake of her head to show her disapproval towards his attitude.

"But Nami~" He whined, watching as she stepped slightly to the left.

"Hey!" A guy said as he crashed into Nami and turned a fierce glare upon her. He spotted her large chest and curvy figure and immediately began to drool, his eyes turning to hearts. "sorry about that! My fault!"

Nami smiled as she reached out and hit him with her book lightly on his side, giving a flirty smile. "No problem, run into me any time."

The guy chuckled and walked the other direction as Nami began to back up. What he didn't know was that she had skillfully snatched his wallet right from his pocket. "He doesn't carry much on him."

"Mina! Time for class!" Robin-sensei called as she peeked out into the hallway at all the students still goofing off.

Quickly everyone darted off, heading for their present class that would be the last for the day. Surprisingly not many skipped classes. Most of them enjoyed the time at school because it was a place they could get away from everything else.

Nami grabbed Luffy by the back of the shirt and dragged him into their next classroom, ignoring his pouting as he huffed and crossed his arms. In a way she was his keeper. She kept him in order and made sure he went to class, did his homework, etc. She didn't even know how she became like that for him, but she didn't really argue against it because it at least gave her some entertainment.

"Going home?" Nami asked Luffy as he ran by, making him stop and giving him friends time to catch up.

"Nami-swan~!" Sanji, Luffy's friend, called out as he rushed over and made googly eyes at the red head.

"Hey Sanji," She acknowledged before giving a short nod of hello to Zoro, Luffy's other friend. "So going home? Or going to eat?"

"Well!" Luffy began his eyes beaming brightly as he looked at Nami. She didn't know why he was so happy suddenly. It's not like today was any different than his normal schedule.

Luffy's face cracked into a wide smile as he jerked his head to the left and waved his arm furiously over his head. "Ace! Sabo!"

Nami looked over at who he was waving to and noticed the two men standing at the entrance with smiles of their own. One had shaggy blonde hair, dark brown eyes, and was obviously into the steam punk kind of fashion. And the other had shaggy black hair with brown eyes and….well he had a little fashion. He had baggy black pants and his button up shirt was completely wide open, along with a bright orange cowboy hat on….but somehow Nami couldn't keep her eyes off of him.

Luffy zoomed by without another bat of the eye and ran over to them, jumping onto them with his arms spread out and hugged them tightly. His whole face was beaming in joy. Which made Nami all the more curious to who they were. Luffy lived alone and his grandfather checked on him occasionally. There weren't really any pictures in his house and she was never given the chance to really explore and find out more, but obviously they had some kind of connection to him. She decided to find out for herself.

"Who are they?" Nami asked, pushing herself into their little group. Everyone was staring by now at the odd spectacle that was going on and disturbing their normal routines.

"Ah! Nami!" Luffy said, happy that his friend had come on over to them. "They're my brothers!" He jumped down from them and looped an arm over her shoulders, pulling her close as he smiled goofily. "That's Sabo and that's Ace! And this is Nami!"

"Nice to meet you." Sabo said with a polite smile and a small nod of his head.

"I hope my brother hasn't given you too much trouble." Ace said, bowing slightly out of thanks.

Nami put a hand to her mouth and began to fake cry, making Luffy panic as he waved his arms around and looked for someone to help.

"Nami! What's wrong?" Luffy shouted, making his brothers stare in wonder as well.

"I never knew your brothers could be so polite, nice, and responsible….WHY AREN'T YOU LIKE THAT?" She shouted, changing her personality instantly while giving him a small punch on the head.

Luffy laughed loudly as he defending himself from Nami. "Oh! When did you get back?" Luffy asked as he directed his attention back to his brothers.

"This morning. Our flight got off early and we decided to surprise you."Sabo answered.

"Ready to go home?" Ace asked, raising an eyebrow at his little brother.

"Yeah!"

Luffy jumped around excitedly as he began following after his two brothers. Nami smiled and shrugged her bag back onto her shoulder. She guessed it was just her tonight then. She didn't want to bother Luffy with his little family reunion.

"Nami!"

Before she even heard her name she felt a hand grab her arm, tugging her backwards slightly. She caught her bearings and turned around to look at Luffy who was cocking his head at her with a plain expression of confusion.

"Where are you going? Aren't you coming over like normal?" Luffy asked, not understanding why Nami was heading the opposite direction to where her house was.

"Huh?" She asked, wondering what the hell was going through his mind if he was stupid enough to ask her if she wanted to go home with them when she wasn't even family. "What are you talking about? Go be with your brothers!" She told him with a sigh.

"No!" Luffy said sternly, shocking her.

Somehow Luffy always secretly knew what Nami wanted. When she wasn't feeling happy he quieted down so she wouldn't have to bother with him, and would always try to make her happy someway. He knew she didn't like going home because of Aarlong, a man who forced his way into their house and kept it as his own.

"Come join us for dinner," Ace said as him and Sabo walked up behind Luffy. "The more the merrier!"

Obviously it wasn't just Luffy who had keen sense on what was really going on. Ace reached out and grabbed her hand, making her stare in confusion and embarrassment as he tugged her along with them, like nothing was wrong with what they were doing.

"I got the hostage!" Ace joked as they headed towards their house and not Nami's.

Nami looked at their linked hands, noticing how big his hand was compared to hers. In a way hers was similar to a child's compared to his. She could feel her heart thumping roughly in her chest as she felt the heat from his hand and his smile replayed in her mind. Why was he affecting her so bad? She didn't understand at all, but what she did know at the moment was that she didn't want to let go off this hand.

"I'll start making dinner." Sabo said as he dropped his bag to the floor and rolled up his sleeves.

Ace let go of Nami's hand and walked into the house, looking around at it nostalgically and admiring how well it still looked. Nami wiggled her fingers, feeling the heat disappear quickly from her hand. A longing staid within her for him to hold her hand once more.

"You've actually kept the house looking nice!" Ace chuckled towards Luffy as the young one plopped down at the table and turned on the television.

"Nami helps me take care of the house!" Luffy said a lollipop sitting in his mouth to hold him over till dinner.

Ace looked over and Nami and raised an eyebrow, his mind working to try and piece together what all of this was. He pointed his finger at Nami and then at Luffy. "So….you two are….?" He said slowly, wondering if they had THAT type of relationship.

Nami shook her head furiously and waved her hand in front of her face. "no no no no no no no no. Impossible!"

Ace smiled and dropped his hand, giving a nod of understand. The conversation seemed to have dropped there as he sat at the table with Luffy and watched television. Nami felt kind of awkward just standing there as everyone else made themselves comfortable. She had been here several times and felt just as comfortable here than anywhere else, but with the two new people, it was like it was a place she had never been before. She let out a deep sigh and placed her bag with theirs, walking over to join them at the table.

"So, where have you two been?" Nami asked, feeling her curiosity peek once more.

Ace looked over at Nami and twisted his body so he was facing her and not the tv. "Me and Sabo were over sea's. We take our college courses over there." He explained, making hand gestures of them flying.

"Wow! What are you majoring in?" She asked, curious now about how they traveled to another college.

"Sabo is majoring in business, and I'm majoring in communications/traveling." Ace said with a proud smile, happy someone was taking interest in what they do.

"Travel?" Her interest was definitely perked now. "I want to travel so much! I want to be able to map all the places I've been and find lost secrets and treasures!"

Ace laughed, making Nami slump a bit. She was waiting for him to tell her that was a childish dream like everyone else. "That sounds like an awesome future to go after! Don't give up on it!"

Nami looked up and felt him pat her head, seeing the reassuring mile on his face to told her to go for whatever her goal was. She felt the smile spread across her face and couldn't stop her heart from thumping loudly and doing flips inside of her chest.

"So, you stay here with Luffy a lot?" Ace asked, wanting to ask questions of his own.

Nami nodded and shrugged. "in a way. I'm kinda Luffy's caretaker for school, and when coming here to help with homework I kinda just cook and clean to keep an eye on him." She shrugged her shoulders again, not seeing it as a big deal.

"I'm glad Luffy has someone to rely on then!" Ace said with another smile.

The rest of the night went by normally as they ate dinner, talked, updated, got to know one another, and joked around. It was as if they had all become comfortable with one another over the course of a few seconds.

"Ace!" Nami shouted as she spotted him standing by the entrance. Sabo wasn't there today and Luffy was rushing out as fast as he could.

"Hey!" He said cheerfully, patting her on the head.

"Stop that! I'm not a child." She fake nagged, knowing it was just a habit of his towards everyone. Nami made no effort in trying to hide how she felt for him. He was only visiting for two weeks while his college was on break and so far a week had passed by. She wanted to tell him flat out her feelings for him, but every time she opened her mouth to tell him, something got caught in her throat and stopped her.

"You coming over?" Ace asked, hoping the bright haired girl would visit once more. He actually enjoyed having her over and liked to see the different expressions that came over her face.

"Luffy! Where's Nami?" Ace asked, coming around the corner and spotted Luffy sitting in his room with a game controller.

Luffy pointed towards the living room and went back to his game, making Ace wonder why he was being so quiet suddenly. But the moment as turned the corner towards the living room, he knew why. There at the table was Nami, fast asleep on her book and papers. She was completely defenseless as she slept there.

"Baka," Ace whispered as he sat by her and slowly cleared away all the papers that were scattered. "Falling asleep while doing work means you're overworking yourself."

He slowly got the book and papers from under her arms and head and glanced down. It was a book full on places around the world and secrets that could be there. He chuckled, putting a hand to his mouth to quiet himself. She was serious on what she was going after and didn't care what other people said. It made him happy to know how goal-oriented she was.

He reached out and brushed the hair from out of her eyes, tucking it behind her ear and giving him a chance to completely see her sleeping face. His fingers gently traced over her features, letting the feel memorize in his head of how her cheek bones, nose and forehead were shaped, how long and soft her eye lashes were, how her bangs framed her face, and finally he passed her lips, feeling how soft and plump they were, as if they invited him in.

Ace felt like his whole body was being pulled towards her. Slowly he leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, a small, light butterfly kiss that barely had their lips touching. But it was enough for Ace to feel the spark from between them, and how soft her lips were pressed against his own. But then reality came and hit Ace. He couldn't do that!

He heard Nami groan as her lips pursed together. Quickly he jerked back from her and scooted away, seeing her eyes flutter open. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, looking around the room in a daze. Then she spotted Ace and her eyes flew wide.

"I'm sorry! I must have fallen asleep!" Nami quickly patted her hair down and wiped at her face, embarrassed that Ace saw her sleeping. What if she was drooling? Her hair was a mess! She couldn't believe he saw her like that!

Ace wasn't looking her in the eye as he stood up and turned his back to her. "it's fine. You should probably head home though. Your sister will worry."

Nami wasn't sure what was going on, and she didn't get a chance to ask as Ace walked out of the room and down the hall. She told herself it was because he was tired and she shrugged, gathering her stufrf and leaving.

School couldn't have ended faster for Nami as she raced out the door the moment the bell rang. She knew Ace would be waiting for them, and she couldn't wait to see his face.

"Nami!" Luffy shouted as he caught up with her with a big smile on his own face. She smiled back, knowing it was now a race on who would get there first.

Finally they made it to Ace, out of breath, and Luffy winning by just a little. He jumped around with his fists in the air and a proud smile on his face. "Yatta!" He cheered, happy about his victory.

"Ready to go?" Nami asked, looking at Ace with a bright smile of her own. She didn't care if she didn't win. She got to see Ace and got to take him in.

"I don't think you should come over anymore." Ace said, a dark shadow on his face as he looked down at her.

It was as if she could hear the shattering of her heart inside her chest. Everything around her grew silent, and even Luffy stood there in surprise. Nami shook her head and took a step forward.

"Why not?" She asked furiously.

"You have your own family to be with. You shouldn't be with us all the time. You just make it difficult at the house." Ace said, realizing what he said had come out all wrong, but as he opened his mouth, he couldn't find the words to actually explain his reasoning. He turned away from Nami who reached out and grabbed Luffy's arm, pulling him along and ignoring his arguments.

It was like the world around her grew dark as she watched the walk away. She was alone again. Why was everyone around her taken away?

Ace couldn't tell her the truth! How could he tell her he had feelings for her? He was a college student who flew overseas all the time and she was a high school student who had a future for herself! Not to mention she was Luffy's best friend. She was more suited for Luffy than himself.

Days had gone by without Nami coming to the house. Every day she'd try to persuade him to let her come over, and finally he waited in a different spot so she couldn't argue with him. Even Luffy was pulling away from her slightly, unsure of what to do because he didn't really know what was going on. Finally she had enough and couldn't stand it any longer.

"Luffy." Nami said as she walked up to him. She was catching him before he ran outside to his brother. "give this to Ace for me okay?"

She handed him a small folded up piece of paper and gave him a small sad smile. He knew this was hard on her, and he was utterly baffled on what to do. He was split between his brother and his friend. He took the note and watched her walk away in the opposite direction. When he met up with Ace, he said nothing and just handed over the note, walking towards the house ahead of Ace. He was mad that Ace was causing this rift between all of them, and he didn't understand why.

Ace watched as Luffy stormed to his room and slammed his door, shutting Ace out instantly. He sighed and looked at the square piece of paper Luffy had handed him. He slowly unfolded it, wondering what was inside.

Ace,

I don't know exactly what I have done, but I'm sorry. I didn't mean to step into your family and force my way in. I really liked feeling like I belonged somewhere. I'm sorry I made you mad, and probably pried too much into your life, but I hope that you can forgive me somehow. I understand if you want me to keep away from Luffy even while you're gone and not come over to your house; that is your choice. But I hope I can still be friends with him.

You only have a few days left until you go back to your college, and I hope all goes well! But before you go I need to tell you something. You can disregard it and ignore it completely if you want, but I need to get it off my chest before I lose my chance forever…

I like you.

Since the first time I saw you I felt this pull to want to stay by your side and be with you. I guess that's why I wanted to know so much about you and become part of your family. I like you. I can't say it enough! I like you! My heart won't let me hide it any longer. Now that I've said it you can decide what you want to do with this information. I won't blame you either way. Once again, I am sorry. I hope you have a safe flight.

Love,

Nami

Ace read over the letter a dozen times, letting her words fully sink in. His arm dropped with the letter in his hand. She liked him? So her feelings are the same….But….he still didn't know what to do.

"If you like her, you should be with her."

Ace snapped his head up and looked at Luffy who was leaning against the door frame. "It's not that simple."

"Why not? She likes you. You like her. Isn't that all you need?" Luffy asked, actually making some sense in his argument.

The last few days felt like torture for Nami as she sat in class with no answer from Ace, no word from Luffy, and the beating of her heart aching inside. She knew he wouldn't answer her and probably didn't even read the letter, but she did feel better now that she got it off of her chest. That's all she really wanted.

She took her time going home, letting her thoughts roll past as she slowly walked towards the gates. She could hear her school mates gathered around in huddles and whispering to one another with bright smiles. Their eyes beaming with excitement. She hated how happy they all were. It was like they were waiting for something to happen.

Nami crashed into someone, snapping her from her thoughts as she caught herself and blinked her eyes. "Sorry,"

"You really should pay attention while walking."

Nami couldn't believe her ears. That voice….She looked up and saw Ace standing there with a shy smile on his face. That explains everyone huddling around and whispering. Someone new and good looking standing inside the gates? It was a sight to behold. She didn't know what to say, so instead she stood there in silence as the two of them looked at one another.

Ace sighed and rubbed the back of his head. "Listen…" He said, making her flinch slightly. The last thing she wanted to hear was a rejection. "I got your letter…" Oh god, here it comes. "I wasn't mad at you. I….well I was trying to control myself."

Nami looked up at him with a raised eyebrow, confused on what he could possibly mean. Why would he need to try and control himself? What was he controlling himself for? And how did she fit into all this?

He sighed, realizing he was still confusing her. "I had to control myself from you." He said plainly. He couldn't still see the confusion etched on her face and made him groan internally. He wasn't good at these kinds of things.

He reached out and cupped her face with both hands before pulling her face towards his own. Their lips pressed together as he took a step closer to her, closing the gap between them that had widened from her backing up. The kiss was sweet, yet long, and the sparks were racing through both of them. Finally he pulled away and looked at her with warm eyes.

"I like you!" He shouted with a bright smile.

Nami's face got completely red as everyone around her began to cheer and giggle at the sudden confession of love. " Baka," She giggled, putting her face into his shoulder. She felt so happy she could burst.

"I can't believe you graduated." Nami teased Luffy as they walked out with their diploma's in hand. "It's all thanks to me of course!"

"Yeah, yeah," Luffy laughed as he lightly pushed Nami with a smile. Luffy stopped in his tracks and grabbed Nami's arm, making her look at him in confusion. He pointed ahead, and had her look to see what he saw.

Her face split in two as she saw Ace standing there with a large bouquet of flowers. She raced over and leapt into his arms, hugging him close. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be on a trip?"

Ace smiled and kissed her quickly. "I couldn't leave without my travel partner." He said, grabbing her hand.

Nami giggled and gave one last wave to Luffy before being pulled by Ace towards the airport.
