"Gladius!"

The silent man sighed as he heard the high pitched annoying voice of the woman who seemed to always find him when he wanted to be alone, and who knew how to grate on his nerves. He glanced down from the tree and saw Baby 5 standing there with a frown on her face and her hands placed on her hips.

"Doffy called the meeting ten minutes ago!" She yelled at him, making him grimace at the sheer high pitch and loudness of her voice.

"Why don't you go bug your boyfriend about coming?" He snapped back, meaning for her to think of Law or Buffalo. Baby 5 tilted her head at him, wondering who he was going on about.

"Unfortunately no one can handle my sheer beauty." She said, putting her hand to her chest with a mock smile on her face.

He couldn't stop the chuckle that came from his mouth and instantly saw the glare coming from her. He turned his eyes on her and flicked his hand, waving her off. "Well, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'll laugh at that remark."

"What? So you think I can't get a boyfriend?!" She shouted, faking that she was going to cry about his insult.

"No, I just think that since I can handle you, anyone could." He said, making her frown even more. She couldn't believe he just said that! "Obviously you need to stop listening to stupid rumors."

"Stop listening huh?" She put a finger to her chin, thinking of some kind of plan to gain revenge against him and his smart mouth. "So rumors aren't true?"

"Not saying that necessarily. Sometimes rumor create the person." Gladius said, waving her off again, wondering what her sudden interest in rumors was about.

"Oh, so obviously the one where your penis can explode is true." She said, making him catch attention to what she was saying and quickly look down at her. She sighed, and mockingly shook her head as she held her hands up. "So that's why you can't get a girl. Poor guy. You get so excited your penis explodes." She glanced up at him and saw the threatening glare pressing on her. "Well if you're not going to the meeting, then I'm leaving!"

Before he could refute or yell at her she bounced off, feeling happy with herself that she could get revenge on him and make him look at her with a look of utter shock. He hardly ever showed his emotions, but somehow she was always able to bring it out of him and make him into a person most didn't know about.

Gladius gave Baby 5 the cold shoulder any time they were near one another lately. For the past five days he'd been like this, pouting like a child who got told he couldn't have candy because he was being bad. Gladius however wasn't meaning to give her the cold shoulder. He felt embarrassed in a way that that is what she was thinking of him now. How in the hell could there be a rumor such as that running around here?! He'd kill whoever made that rumor…..but for now he needed to convince Baby that the rumor wasn't true at all. He didn't know why he felt so strongly about disproving it, but he NEEDED her to know that it wasn't true.

Where she thought he was giving her the cold shoulder, he was actually thinking of how to turn her opinion of him around. The only problem was that every time he began to think of a way his mind went to a completely different section he normally told himself to never consider. She sighed and jutted her hip out, grabbing her cigarette and blowing smoke out before returning it. "Do you want me to tell everyone about that rumor?"

Gladius nearly fell out of the tree. He was expecting their normal argument, and then leading up to that….never did he think she'd bring it up right away. He sighed in his head, knowing that now was a better chance than ever. Before Baby could open her eyes, Gladius had jumped down from the tree in front of her and was barely a few centimeters from her. Just as she opened her eyes and gasped at how close he was, he grabbed her cigarette from her mouth and brought it up to his own.

He raised an eyebrow at her. "And why would they believe you? Do you have proof?" He teased, seeing her eyes go wide in shock and watched her take a few steps back.

"Well….no…not yet!" She countered, pointing a finger at him.

"So," He smirked under his coat, knowing she was walking right into his trap. He walked towards her, making her step backwards until her back hit a tree. He stood close enough to her their noses were touching as he gazed into her eyes. "You're saying you want to see and have proof?"

"That's!...not…" She began, but couldn't stop herself from being engulfed into his eyes that were staring straight through her lies and into her mind that was screaming for him to make a move. She didn't understand until that moment just how much she craved him to treat her like this; like a woman.

Gladius reached up and slipped his mask off of his chin and mouth so his face was completely uncovered. Baby stared in awe at his chiseled features that were completely hidden by his mask. She knew he had to look good, but damn she wasn't expecting this. She couldn't stop herself from reaching up and moving his goggles away from his face. She let them drop to the floor as his eyes were so deep it was as if they held all the questions and answers in the world.

"If you stare so hard you might explode," He said, trying to make his own embarrassment go away as she stared.

"Shut up," She said, ignoring his snide remark and cupping his face in her hands. For a moment longer she looked over his face, wanting to burn it into her memory so even when he had his mask and goggles on she'd see the real him.

She pulled his face towards her as she stepped onto her toes in her heels even more, placing her lips on his. Gladius was shocked at first, not expecting her to be completely messing up his plan and making him lose track of what to do. But finally he shook it out of his head and just let himself take over. He needed more of her. This was no longer part of proving that rumor, and her for the matter, wrong, but getting the desire they both wanted.
