Chapter 5
As I opened my eyes, I saw darkness. I was the only one in the darkness. I looked around and wondered where I was.
Am I in a dream?
"You're not." My head snapped to the direction of the voice but I could see no one. Who is that?
"You don't need to worry about that."
I raised an eyebrow. "Okay… So what should I be worried about?" I finally found my voice to speak, looking up to wherever the voice was.
"Nothing." I slowly move my head down, seeing a figure appearing from the darkness.
"Dad?"
"I see you've finally recognized my voice." He chuckled, standing in front of me. He ruffled my hair, smiling as I shook my head to get his hand off me. "What are you doing here?"
He chuckled. "Well, you are having trouble seeing Anna right?" I nodded, wondering how he knew but it was not important.
"She's the only thing that stands in her own way now." He answered, making a grim smile.
"Why?"
"Don't you understand?"
I shook my head, raising my eyebrow as I look to him for an answer.
"You've let go your worries now. What about her?" He asked, seemingly wanting me to think through. And with that, I really woke up to my room.
I groaned, still thinking of the encounter I had with my father. Saying that now Anna is standing in her own way?
"He meant, I'm refusing to allow anyone to see me." I turn, not seeing anyone there but hearing Anna's voice caught me off guard. I felt a sudden cold breeze beside me, my hair stood on ends. "I don't really want to be seen." She answered as I could feel her presence just beside me.
"Why?" I asked, feeling silly again for seemingly talking to the air. There was silence that hung in the air, making it seem weird that I was looking at my backyard and not anyone else. "I…" She stopped herself as I continued to wait. "I'm scared." She admitted, something that she would usually never say whenever she was around me or anyone. "I'm scared Yoh." She continued, her voice trembling as she sounded like she was about to cry.
"Don't be… Haven't you trained me to be strong? Please, I miss you so much Anna." I confessed, looking away as I looked up to the sky. The cold breeze left me as I turned around, trying to find her when I saw my things being thrown around again.
This time, it wasn't my things. It was clearly her own that she found in my room.
I could hear her hard cries, banging the floor as I watched the mess lay around my room. I walked into my room, finding the only empty spot in the room as I could feel her presence. I knelt down, seeing if I could hug her.
"Stop! You can't do that even you want to! I'm gone, Yoh! I can't be found!"
Her presence left the room as I panicked. What did she mean by that?
Strong and running footsteps came outside my room as I watched the sliding doors opened. "What happened?" Ryu asked as I saw the others followed behind.
"Anna…" My voice trailed off. "She's gone." I stayed at the spot where she was beside me a few moments ago, leaving me unsure and stunned by what had just happened.
It's been a while since I've updated. I'm sorry I have disappeared for so long. I had not have that motivation or anything to make a fanfiction story for the longest time due to so many things that have been happening in my life.
I hope my writing now seem more mature to anyone of you who are following this story and have watched my writing since a long time back. Thank you :)
