After awhile of being on hiatus... I bestow another chapter!
Bwahahahahahah! Anyways sorry sorry.. Times are tough when I keep moving around so much. One week I'm there, next week, elsewhere, even later i'm way over there. So sorry. I'll update when I can... Oi..
The house was dark. We couldn't see any light on.
"I'm going in." Leorio said as he went into the house. We all followed him and there was a giant animal with long rabbit ears and the face of a rat. He was huge! That's when I saw he was holding a woman. I noticed there was a guy on the floor as well. Then as if our senses came back to us we all noticed it was a monster. Kurapika and Leorio got out their weapons with lightening speed, while I just stared. Gon didn't do anything either as the monster charged right passed us, carrying the woman into the dark forest.
"Well that settles it. I'm going after some monster meat." I said as I started to jump out the broken window.
"We got to help!" Gon said as he charged into the forest as well.
"Leorio take care of the wounded." Kurapika said while he ran out after Gon.
I heard the guy groan about his wife. Poor dude I thought to myself. Where am I running to, I wondered. I stayed still listening, there it was, a slight rustling and the hint of a growl, there that way! I yelled at them same time as Gon went into the other direction. Gon knows where he's going and I'm positive there may be more than one out here tonight. Kami help me, I silently prayed as I went into the woods alone. I didn't need to look as I knew Kurapika was going to help Gon out. He is the younger one after all. I ran after the sound I heard. As I ran after the monster I tried to take in my surroundings in case I got lost. Then I saw it. It was the same kind of monster that left with the woman. This one however, did not have any hostages.
"Why are you doing this?" I yelled out to the monster. "for fun of course!" he replied turning around grinning at me.
"Oh great you can talk!" I said joyfully. "..ehh what?" the thing looked at me dumbfounded.
"well we can talk it out with your partner and we don't have to fight!" I said.
"If you can catch me that is!" He said as he started to run away again!" Dammit and I thought I did something great! I ran after it following it through the trees. That thing is pretty fast! I haven't had a good tag in awhile I thought to myself. I chased it through the trees and almost caught up with the thing til it decided to stop and go another direction. Kuso and I was so close too!. I mentally cursed. I looked around and realized I lost the rat-faced thing.
"DAMMIT!" I yelled out loud. Hmpf! I sat on the ground. I'm hungry again. I got out my bag and pulled out a bagel. I need cream cheese I thought and began to look for it. I found it after a little search. I started to eat.
After I was done I listened for something and I thought I heard a laugh. Bingo! I started to run towards the noise. There was the two of the rat-faced monsters there and the husband and wife. Which one of them was I suppose to tag? I thought to myself. I ran toward them and I heard Kurapika and Leorio try to stop me, I got to both of them
"TAG YOUR IT!" I said as I touched both of them. Leorio and Kurapika looked stunned. Of course I can be unpredictable too!
"You caught up!" The one on the right said happily.
"So now we can talk it out?" I asked. He laughed again.
"Boy these are sure a bunch of nice kids here! It's been a long time since we've met anyone who could tell me and my wife apart."
"What you have a wife!?" I said.
"Yes and a son and daughter. It gives me great pleasure to see someone tell us apart." I Leorio as Kurapika if he could tell them apart. Not at all was his reply.
"I can't tell who's who" I said but "You guys do sound different!" They looked delighted.
"My wife and I are navigators. We see who's worthy enough to pass and take them to the location of the exam." He said.
"Kurapika passed," The woman said, "He is smart,and knowledgeable. This tattoo is from an ancient clan, Sumi, where young girls wear it in witness of a promise of marriage made to a God and to no one else. Without an excellent knowledge of ancient history, it is impossible to decipher it. He was not fooled and understood we weren't husband and wife." She praised. Kurapika didn't even look bashful or prideful.
"Leorio passed," The guy said, "He didn't understand nothing until the end," Leorio looked a bit embarrassed at that. "But he know to give me first-aid, maybe better than a doctor." Leorio looked proud of himself for that praise.
"Misuki passed." The rat-faced monster said. "She has showed extraordinary movement and excellent hearing." I was happy to pass. I almost couldn't believe it!
"As for Gon, he walked straight ahead showing keep observation skill, and moving around with amazing skill." Gon looked a bit bashful and he remembered he hit him a bit. "I hit you though." Gon said.
"That's okay. We will take you to the testing site." The four of us stared happily at one another as we were on our way to the hunter's exam!
That night all four of us were taken to Zaban city. It was a wonderful sight indeed to look down.
