Boo yeah! Tryna complete another chapter for y'all. Right now writing is the only thing I have that makes me feel better. At least I'm someone else. Thanks for reading. Over 5.5k views. Love you guys!
So Seji and I followed Hikaru. Like I promised I didn't help her. We wandered aimlessly. She was looking for her target and I was just following her. Seji stayed beside us. Honestly how did he get this far? He fell a lot. He almost drowned. He was unprepared for a lot of things but he wanted to prove them wrong. I heard some footsteps. I walked and I found Killua.
"Hey you!" I called out to him waving him over.
"Nee-chan!" Killua said brightening up considerably.
"Find your target yet?" I asked.
"No. You?"
"Yes I have! He's right here!" I gestured pointing at Seji. He looked down. I saw he was sweating and had noticed Killua put out a murderous intent. Looking at Hikaru, I noticed she was on edge too.
"Now Killua" I chastised him.
"What?" He said trying to play innocent. He put his arms behind head and looked away.
"Play nice."
"Tch" he said looking at me only to look away.
"Want a cookie?" I asked.
"Chocolate chip?" He asked instantaneously. His head whipped his head so fast I could only think whiplash.
I smiled coyly.
"Only the best homemade chocolate chip cookie-"
"Gimme!" Killua interrupted me, sticking his hand out.
I pulled out five chocolate chip cookies. I saw his eyes widen instantly. His jaw dropped, a bit of drool came out. He probably hasn't had sweets in awhile.
"I want it." He said trying to grab it. I dodged.
"Will you play nice?" I asked as I kept on dodging him.
"Yes!"
Fearing my arm I threw one cookie in his mouth and the rest in his arms. He was instantly a happy Killua. I ruffled his hair.
"Good boy."
"My target is 199." Killua said after swallowing his mouth load.
"I have target 197" Hikaru said speaking up. "You also have one of those three brothers."
"You know who we have to target?" Killua said surprised.
"Well looks like we have to work together" Hikaru spoke.
"But it's a bother. I can take them all, all by myself." Killua said smugly.
"Let's wander around together then!" I said joyously.
Killua gave me a look. I gave him back a look. Pretty much it went like this
(Someone is following me)
(I know.)
(Are you an idiot?)
(I won't interfere if that's what you mean)
(Fine)
(What about them?)
(I got this.)
(Sure.)
(I'll save you too.) Killua scoffed. He rolled his eyes but allowed it.
I smiled. I got what I wanted. So we wandered more. Then Killua decided to call out whoever was following him. Seji looked surprised. Hikaru just raised an eye. I shrugged. Killua could handle himself. This guy was seriously weak.
"You can follow me as much as you want but I'll never show any weakness." He said. "I'm warning you, if you don't come to me I'll come to you. Even if I take your tag it's only worth one point." I rolled my eyes. He didn't need to go that far. Even so he was only 12 after all. I heard footsteps and saw that his brothers returned.
"Sorry Imori. Didn't mean to make you wait."
"I'm sure you already have the tag." One of the brothers said.
"It took so long."
"EH?!" Both said noticing Killua and us. They ended up hitting their brother.
"You're scared without us? You can't fight him can you?" The skinny one yelled.
"N-No! That's not it! The poor kid! I couldn't hit him so I thought to steal his tag while he's sleeping."
"Are you mocking us?" The bigger brother said grabbing him by the collar. The guy targeting Killua was sweating. He realized he couldn't win that argument.
"Okay okay. Because you reacted this way I have no other choice. I'm gonna do it." He said walking towards Killua. "Come on kid. Gimme your number sheet. If you give it calmly, then nothing bad will happen."
"Idiot." Killua said defiantly. I snickered. They were totally underestimating him.
The guy kicked Killua but I saw Killua had taken his sheet.
"Hey. I did warn him." He said looking at me. Hikaru and Seji were in shocked. Hikaru went for her weapon but I stopped her from pulling it out. I just smiled. She was confused.
"Aren't we going to help him?"
"For what? He's fine." I said looking at Killua again. He was laying on the ground. He hopped back to his feet.
"You didn't go all out."
"You're too no nice!"
The one who kicked him was frozen. Killua pulled out the sheet from his pocket."
"Number 198."
The guy paled even more. He patted his pockets. He was in disbelief. Even his two brothers were stunned. Seji and Hikaru were definitely stunned too. They hadn't even seen him take out his number. I smirked. They really did underestimate him.
"That's not the sheet I was looking for. It's close though. Perhaps 199 is one of you two?" Killua smirked.
"Iiiiidiot you know it is. Stop trying to show off!" I said in good humor.
"Im trying to be cool."
"so not working.. Right Hikaru?" Hikaru jumped. She was shocked into silence.
"Yeah. That wasn't cool Killua-San."
"Jeez you old hags are no fun." Hikaru had a huge tick mark.
"You brat!" Hikaru was about to try to hit Killua when I grabbed her and Seji and stuck them in the trees.
"I told Killua that you guys wouldn't get in the way and that I'm not interfering."
"You're letting a child! A CHILD! Handle those guys by himself?"
"That's not safe! There's no way he can take them all by himiself!" Seji said finally getting out of shock.
"You guys. It's okay. Compared to you, he's a monster. And those guys don't even stand a chance against Killua. They don't even know-!" I stopped myself. I was about to reveal nen. Sure it's not that big of a secret but it was much too soon. "Believe in Killua." I smiled. He was already finished with the brothers. During that whole argument he took their tags. He threw 198 and kept 197 and 199. The brothers looked broken.
I jumped off the tree and the others followed.
"Told you I wouldn't interfere!" I chirped.
"Here. Didn't you need 197?" Killua said blushing at Hikaru. She took it.
"Thank you. Though I would rather not have gotten the tag like this, it's still better than failing."
"It's whatever."
"So now what?" I asked.
"Well we have all the tags that we need. What do we do for the rest of the week?"
"it's only the fifth day." Seji commented.
"Let's return to the starting point. You and I can take care of anyone who tries to steal our sheets." Killua said talking to me.
"Why not?" So our group of four headed to the finish line.
"Maybe we should set up camp close to it." Seji spoke.
"Why's that?" Hikaru asked.
"What if the people try to take the sheets? Then what?"
"I can handle them all." Killua bragged. I looked at Hikaru and Seji. They wouldn't be able to hold up against and could become possible hostages.
"I agree with Seji. We can set up a camp." Killua gave me a face. "It's just a few days.
"Fiiiine. Whatever."
"Good! Do you want some chocolate? It might be a bit melted but-"
" YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOU HAD CHOCOLATE!" Killua said practically gluing himself to me. "I want it." He said sticking out his hand. I chuckled. I dug into my bag and grabbed a couple of mini chocolate bars. Killua grabbed them and complied to me. Sorta. He was still a bit childish but he is twelve.
The next day I sensed Kurapika and Leorio.
"I'll be back you guys." I said as I made my way to them. I hopped around the trees and made my way to them.
"Hey guys! How's your week been?" I joked. Kurapika and Leorio were startled to see me as I jumped to the ground. "It's been so boring."
"Mitsuki!" Kurapika shouted before rushing to me. "Do you have your tags?" Kurapika asked after giving me another bear hug.
"I do. You?" I said shifting to one leg. Kurapika let go. I was relieved. Now that we weren't kids it just felt different. Maybe because I wasn't used to him yet. Yup. That's most likely it.
"Yes. Leorio still hasn't been able to collect his yet."
"We were hoping my target would be at the beach." Leorio told me.
"Even if he was how would you know you would be able to beat him?"
"Well my target is a female."
"I assume a female taking the hunter exam isn't weak, Leorio." I said cracking my knuckles. He was unbelievably weak. I knew I could take him on with only one finger.
"You aren't but not everyone else is a monster like you!" I gave him an 'are you seriously stupid' face.
"Leorio.. How the hell do you expect to find your target if you're arguing with me."
"She does have a point." Kurapika spoke. "Let's arrange a date and a place to meet up later. With at least three we will have better luck"
"What about four?" I turned my head to Gon. It was incredible. I hadn't even noticed him. He was like a wild beast. It was a bit disturbing.
"Might only be you three. See I already have a group that I'm with and I said I would protect them until this round was over.." I said not looking at them.
"It's fine! I didn't want your help anyways!" Leorio yelled. "I don't need a female's help!" I got mad. I was getting tired of his sexist comments.
"Well good! Now I don't want to help an old man like you at all!" I said jumping into the trees and running back to my old groups. I heard them call my name but I ignored them. See if I bother helping out Leorio anymore! I made it back to my camp and Hikaru was arguing with Killua.
"What's going on now?" I asked trying to get rid of the anger I had. I was still a bit pissy. I couldn't help that I had already had teammates. I took Seji's number and couldn't leave him out there defenseless with Hisoka out there.
"That little boy doesn't want to eat his vegetables!" Hikaru screeched at me.
"I told you already! It's not delicious! It's not good! I won't eat it!" He yelled at her.
"How else will you grow up to be healthy if you don't eat your stickin vegetables?!"
I looked at Seji.
"I'm an innnocent bystander. I'm too afraid to go against Hikaru. Killua is something else." Seji said hiding behind my book. He had borrowed a book since he had nothing else to do. I sighed.
"Honestly you guys." A knife landed in the tree next to me. I looked at it. I blinked. I see why Seji was afraid.
"I swear to God that if you take that brat's side, I'm going to stab you and feed you to him!"
"That's cannibalism.." Killua and I said at the same time. However I was sweating. Killua still had the upset look on his face. Screw this. I was a lot safer helping them out than I was here. Looks like Hikaru could take care of herself and Killua was strong enough to rely on.
"I'm going to see if Leorio and Kurapika need my help... Um.. Bye!" I said running off leaving Killua and Seji to face Hikaru's wrath. Cause no way was I getting involve.
"Don't you dare run off! You need to eat your plate too!" She yelled.
"Leorio needs my help! I can't just abandon a friend! Take care of Seji for me! I'll be back! I swear!" I said before disappearing on them. Now to find Kurapika and the others. They weren't were I had left them earlier so they probably went looking for the target. I thought to myself. Maybe I shouldn't leave Seji there. Killua hadn't want teammates. Maybe I should go over there and face my responsibilities that I put on myself... Then I thought of Hikaru's knife.. Might have to be later.
"Girls are freaking scary." I mumbled.
