9 hours, 23 minutes later Placid had counted the slow moving hands of the clock, one of the nurses working at the front desk walked cautiously over to Alfendi who earlier had fits of rage and tantrums, he threw things at the surgeons and threatened to make them to do the best they can to help Lucy otherwise they would lose their tongues. They even had to place him in a straight jacket to keep everyone safe. As he calmed down to his less active side Placid just sat there on the plastic waiting chairs staring at the dull white washed walls.
As the nurse had eventually crept into Alfendi's sight his hair turned a devilish crimson and he scowled at her "U-Uhm L-L-Lucy sh-should b-be well..."
"SPIT IT OUT WOMAN!" He growled at the nurse who instinctively threw her arms up to brace herself from any attack.
"S-she's resting for n-now... S-she'll be a-a-alright..." The frightened nurse slowly unclipped the buckles of the straight jacket. Al's hair now burgundy, he smiled a gentle warming smile towards the nurse to calm her down the jacket slipped off and Alfendi stared at her with his eyebrows raised, as if she knew what he was thinking she gave him a slight smile back and said "Room 27, the step-down unit. That's where all the comatose people are kept"
"T-the c-comatose!"
Nurse: "Yes, we had to put her into an induced coma because she was beginning to become too unstable. It means-"
Al's hair had changed shade yet again
Potty: "I KNOW WHAT IT BLOODY HELL MEANS!"
The nurse replied, wide eyed by Al's sudden outburst,
"I-I was only-!"
Alfendi hung his head down "Sorry I had better go before I do anything I'll regret..."
It was around 5 in the morning as Alfendi started striding down the corridors. He couldn't bear the thought of sleep now, not until he could see if Lucy was safe.
Hilda stands at the door of Lucy's room and says" It turns out that the strange man, worked for someone very dangerous and very powerful and word on the street is they didn't like you laying off one of their employees and now they are after you and Lucy. There is an enormous bounty on your tail. So we will have to place you in witness protection until further notice and until the commotion has died down."
Alfendi was left speechless, he knew how witness protection worked it would be likely that Lucy wouldn't be placed in the same area; he'd have to leave everything behind...
