Edit: Me and my evil laughs. Geez…
Wait, no, I still do that. Oops.
Aw man I had so much fun trick-or-treating with my friends, I'll probably post a journal on dA because there was just so much funny stuff…xD
Enjoy.*cue evil laugh AGAIN*
"Oh wait, there's another here." Sally announced. "This might actually be one of Stacy's actual notes, though. It says 'list' at the top. Uh, 'shower, pick up car, annoy Siddeley,' it's from yesterday."
"…'annoy Siddeley'? Seriously? She included 'annoy Siddeley' on a check list?" Siddeley asked.
"Um, anything like the weird, creepy note, Sally?" Lightning asked.
"Uh… Yeah. Look: list of weird fears. Haphephobia, the fear of being touched, Doraphobia, The dread of touching the skin or fur of an animal, Eremophobia, the dread of being alone, Ergophobia, a fear of or aversion to work, Hypnophobia, the morbid fear of sleep'? What?"
"Um, is there more?" Becca asked.
"Yeah. 'Brontophobia, the abnormal fear of thunder, Kak-orr-haphio-phobia,'" she said slowly sounding it out. "What the heck? 'The abnormal fear of failure—"
"Sally," Lightning interrupted.
"'Phobophobia, the excessive fear of acquiring a phobia'…" Sally clicked her tongue. "Okay."
"Any more there, Professor?" Lightning sarcastically asked Sally.
"Actually… Yeah…" She replied in the same fearful voice she read the first note in.
"What is it?" Holley asked.
"'Venatorphobia… The fear of Stalker Siddeley'."
Siddeley chuckled nervously. "He's not good at coming up with names, is he?"
"Actually, the root sounds a lot like the Latin word for "stalker," and since that's what a lot of phobia names are based off of, so he did have some—"
"Holley, not everyone's an encyclopedia like you are." Lightning rolled his eyes, though Holley couldn't see.
"Sally, does the phone have anything else on it?" Finn asked.
"Uh, hang on. Stacy is super paranoid, right?" Becca asked.
"Yes…" Finn replied, not entirely sure where this was going.
"Um, play many video games?" Becca continued.
"Yes…" Finn was beginning to sound impatient.
"Any first-person horror, do you think?"
"Becca, what's your point?" Holley asked before Finn could say anything rude.
"My point is, Sally. Did Stacy happen to take a video after she was, uh, taken?"
"…that's actually rather smart…" Finn admitted, almost grumpily.
"Uh… Maybe." Sally breathed. "Yeah, it looks like it."
"Well, play it." Sarge ordered.
Through their walkie-talkies, everyone could hear the video play out.
"Okay…" Stacy's voice drifted from the phone. "Not gonna lie, I think I'm probably gonna die." She paused. "A-a-and that rhymed. Eugh."
Finn couldn't help cracking a smile.
"So, in, uh," The video continued. "In true horror fashion… Well, I guess true horror game fashion, recording this for… Whatever reason. Hi, guys, if you find this."
"Should I be happy that I was right…?" Becca whispered.
"Yay, I love the dark woods at night…" Stacy sarcastically cheered. "I actually really hope I don't get caught again, just so you guys never find this because no one really deserves to be subjected to my nervous rambling." Stacy turned the camera around to show her frowning face for a moment, before returning it forward.
"Oh, shit…!" Stacy gasped. Everyone could hear panting coming from the video as Stacy started to run, and her crying out as she tripped. Sally and Lightning watched from Stacy's point of view as she ran from something and drop her phone as she tripped, leaving the phone camera up at the canvas of trees. There was also a shattering noise—her phone must've broken after she fell.
Lightning and Sally could see the shadow of a figure. It seems like unnatural for the shadow of a person, and whatever it was made Stacy's breath quicken.
"What do you have against Siddeley?!" Stacy demanded.
"Why, Stacy, my dear, he helped create me." A raspy voice replied in a polite, casual tone.
Even Finn was shocked. Siddeley had never told him that.
"He... What? Uh… Yeah, confused here. Then shouldn't you, you know, like him?"
"No." The raspy voice sneered.
"That makes about as much sense as you existing in the first place." Stacy replied.
Becca looked over at Siddeley to see he was white as a sheet.
"Siddeley?" She whispered. "You helped...?" She asked, not able to compete the question.
"It… It wasn't me, alright?" He whispered back. "Not… Me on purpose. They…" He didn't finish.
"What's this?" The voice asked. Lightning and Sally saw someone pick the phone up from off the ground.
"Your phone is at twenty percent battery." He almost sounded polite. "You really ought to take better care of your things…" The voice began to snarl near the end.
"Get away from me!" Stacy snapped from the video, along with a few choice words at her assailant.
"Haven't you figured out by now that you can't run…?" He asked, the voice sounding even less human than before.
"Stay away, you son of a bi—!" Stacy had begun to scream, but the video had ended.
No one dared say anything for a moment.
"So he decided to use her phone to get a message to us not long ago, then." Lightning supposed.
"…what is the phone battery at, now?" Finn asked.
"Why is that important?" Sheriff asked.
"So we know how long we missed them by." Finn replied.
"Eighteen perc—" Sally had started to say, but was cut off by a high-pitched gasp of surprise.
"McQueen?" Sally?" Mater asked.
"Hey, wait a sec, I think I hear their walker-talkie." Ramone announced.
Flo and Ramone pushed through some branches revealing the couple's walkie-talkie lying in the grass.
Flo sighed sadly. "Bad news." She spoke into Lightning and Sally's walkie-talkie after picking it up. "Lightning and Sally are gone."
"Hey, guys, there's like a path here." Ramone noticed.
"Where are you?" Finn asked with urgency in his voice.
"Um… Ooh! I'll shoot this thing in the air that I got." Ramone proposed.
"Honey, why would you bring that?!" Flo asked.
"For this exact reason, baby." He grinned, then shot a flare into the air.
…
"Dad gum, that thing's bright." Mater observed after his group arrived.
It took only minutes for the rest of them to arrive.
"All right, is that the path?" Finn asked, pointing.
"Yeah." Ramone nodded.
"Okay, don't let anyone out of your sight."
"Wait, where's Siddeley?" Holley asked. As if on cue, Siddeley ran into sight, panting.
"Sid!"
"What happened? Where's Becca?" were the questions he was pelted with.
"Gone." He simply answered, still panting. "Sh-she isn't here?" He asked, clearly worried.
"Well… Let's go get her?" Luigi suggested.
"Yeah." Siddeley agreed. "Into the lion's den. Fun."
Yeah, yeah, I know, it was short…ish… I'm sorry I'm not feeling well tonight. :( I spent a few hours with my friends at one of their houses, and I'm allergic to cats and big dogs that shed, and she has one of each. So yeah whenever I go over there I'm screwed because I'm allergic to her house. xD When my allergies really bother me my breathing gets all raspy and it gets kinda hard to breathe and everything itches….*shudders* Still having a LITTLE but trouble breathing but WAY better than how I felt earlier… Plush I took Benadryl to help with my allergies after I got home so that's making me really drowsy… The good news is half the party we were outside (in the rain. At night. xD) killing her fish piñata, Bird. She decided to make us hit it in the order from least violent to most violent… Needless to say I hit him last. XD
Okay, what do you guys think about me updating this like a bunch but only during the Halloween season? MUHAHAHA you have to wait till next year! XD
Mind leaving poor little allergies-make-me-sound-like-I-have-asthma-Stacky? :)
