But Stacy. What's going on. I thought this story was finished. You're actually working on it's sequel right now. Why aren't you doing that.
WELL YA KNOW WHAT I HATE DOING?
POSTING NEW STORIES.
seriously. titles and summaries are dumb. i hate making them.
SO that's why I'm adding a dumb little oneshot on the end of this story.
I was rereading TLOSS for ideas for the sequel and was STRUCK. With inspiration to make this dumb lil thing. So I hope you enjoy or something.
Also while writing this I was listening to this mix of all these renditions of emotional Fairy Tail music and idk it just really helped set the mood. If you message me on deviantart or tumblr I can link it to you if you want? XD ("no stacy i'm not a NERD n' WEEB like YOU i don't want no link to emotional anime music" okay geez suit yourself it helped me write it so it may make reading it more enjoyable idfkdsafj)
*So this is basically part of the epilogue where Finn and Stacy were having a little chitchat time and Cammie walked in on them. This is what they were talking about yo.
"So you finally bought it for yourself, did you?" Stacy teased, leaning against the wall of the cockpit with her arms crossed.
"Ah, shut up. This is your fault, y'know." Siddeley swatted his hand in her direction.
"I'm curious though," she continued. "When you stole my phone and looked through my music, why did you only listen to the one album?"
"I dunno. The album caught my eye. It was really colorful." Sid shrugged.
Stacy laughed. "Can't argue with that. But hey," she took a seat in the copilot chair. "I've got another artist I wanna introduce to you."
"I really don't need that."
"Yeah you do." Stacy grinned. "Here. Lindsey Stirling. Her music gives me life. Seriously. Do yourself a favor and check her out."
Siddeley sighed. "I'll think about it."
Stacy grinned. "Awesome. Well!" She clapped as she stood up. "I'll leave you to your… Whatever you're doing."
"I told you, I'm recalibrating my—oh, whatever." Siddeley sighed. "I'll see you later. Remember, we're supposed to leave first thing tomorrow."
"Yeah, yeah." Stacy sighed, and left the cockpit. She had begun humming to herself when she noticed Finn sitting in one of the seats, staring at an old photo in his hands.
Stacy decided to sit down next to him.
"Is that…?" She quietly began to ask.
Finn smiled. "That's Leland." He confirmed, handing Stacy the picture.
"Wow. Finn B.M., huh?" she laughed.
"B.M.?"
"Before Mustache." Stacy grinned. Finn laughed.
Stacy noticed that the photo had been folded over twice. Once, over a pretty girl on the far end, then again over teenage Leland Turbo.
"Finn, is… Is this who Stalker Siddeley was talking about when…?" she asked, her fingers hovering over the young woman.
Finn looked away. "Abigail." He admitted quietly. "Her name was Abigail."
"…what happened to her?"
"The same thing that happens to everyone, it seems." Finn replied bitterly.
Stacy frowned at the floor, unsure if there was anything to say to make him feel better.
"…what was Leland like?" she finally asked.
A small smile played on Finn's lips. "He was never fit to be an agent, I suppose." He began. "He was often sick as a child, you know. But oh, so good at making people get along." Finn chuckled a bit. "You know, sometimes I think my sister Claire loved him more than she loved me. He was… He was never in trouble. Not like my other siblings. And such a bookworm it was almost funny. He helped keep Sid out of trouble, too. Sid and Tombér were always getting into trouble somehow and Leland would always…" Finn trailed off, smiling as he recalled the past.
"I wish I could have met him." Stacy smiled warmly.
"So does Holley—or so she tells me. I met her shortly after Leland… Well. I'm sure you know."
"Yeah." Stacy handed him the picture back, now that he had turned his head back towards her.
"I just…" Finn sighed. "I wish things could have been different."
Stacy reluctantly took Finn's hand, just as she had done to reassure him a month ago. "Siddeley's still here. I'd say things are different to some extent."
Finn reluctantly smiled. "I suppose you're right." he agreed, squeezing her hand back. His smile suddenly dropped. "Stacy… When you were…"
Stacy tilted her head to the side. "Yes?"
"I was…" Finn sighed. "I'm just relieved everyone's alright." He let go of her hand.
"So am I." Stacy agreed.
They sat in silence for a minute or so.
"Was there… Something else you wanted to say?" Stacy asked.
"…I…" he hesitated.
Stacy smirked. "I thought Finn McMissile was supposed to be super suave. What's going on?" she joked.
"Heh," Finn breathed.
"Did you… Hang on. Did you ever get that shoe back?" Finn turned towards her.
"Uh, no. Pretty sure it's still at the bottom of that pond." She frowned. "That poor shoe."
Neither of them were sure what to say after that.
Finn eventually sighed. "I was so scared." he whispered.
"Hm?" Stacy turned her head back at him.
"Remember the first few times we met at CHROME?" Finn asked. "The first thing I noticed were your eyes."
"Finn?" Stacy quietly asked.
"I was so scared… That I'd never see your eyes again." He finished, finally making eye contact with her. Reluctantly, he slowly brought his hand up to the side of her face.
Despite her best wishes, Stacy felt herself begin to blush. Finn's hands were cold and a bit rough, but his touch itself was so gentle that it made his hand feel soft against her cheek.
Finn looked like he wanted to say something else, but decided against it. He let his hand drop and turned his face away.
A smile flew to his lips as Finn chuckled, then announced in a teasing voice, "You're blushing." Reminding her of their first official meeting at the agency.
"Am not." Stacy tried to sound grumpy, but she couldn't help the smile creeping into her expression.
"Yes, you are." He continued. "Not very used to attention, eh?"
"Especially not from one of CHROME's best agents." Stacy grinned, finishing the mock reenactment of part of their first conversation.
"Siddeley?" The two heard Cammie call from outside. She looked over at them upon walking up the ramp.
"We weren't doin' nothin'." Stacy stood up, looking embarrassed.
Cammie laughed. "Sure," She replied. "You were sitting with each other. Ooh, so scandalous." she teased.
Stacy crossed her arms but couldn't help cracking a smile.
"Come on, let's do our scandalous sitting elsewhere." Finn laughed, leading Stacy out of the jet by the arm.
You're all judging me. aren't you.
WELL. YOU'D JUDge me even more if you knew that this wasn't the only story I've inserted myself into. Seriously. There's like at LEAST like 7 other fandoms where I've written elaborate, detailed stories with me in them. They're just in my head and no one will ever be able to read them. Except I tell them to my brother sometimes because he does literally the same thing.
ANYWAY ENOUGH OF THAT HEY. HEY HEY HEY HEY. GUESS WHERE THAT CONVERSATION IS FROM? THAT'S RIGHT, THAT ONe story I promised I'd post like a year or two ago… Uh… Oops. It's still coming?
